The soccer team’s new jersey juxtaposed with the new threats against Ahadi shows clearly the direction in which Germany is heading. What will it be like for critics of Islam, and for everyone, in ten years?

For Mina Ahadi, chairwoman of the Central Council of Ex-Muslims and a well-known critic of Islam, the situation of danger increased again last month. Including nine telephone death threats. Does that bother 1. FC Köln with its jersey advertising for Erdogan’s Islamic dictatorship?
With death threats and terror, groups try to silence those who think differently, as well as critics – including the chairwoman of the Central Council of Ex-Muslims and well-known Islamic critic Mina Ahadi – in Germany. Ahadi is a thorn in the side of the Iranian regime and of Muslims because of her work as a human rights activist and dissident.
Ahadi has been campaigning against the Islamic regime in Iran for 41 years. This includes her commitment against the headscarf requirement, against stoning and against the death penalty. It was precisely for these reasons that she was sentenced to death in absentia in Iran. Since 1990, she has continued her work for human and women’s rights from abroad, and with the help of millions of people around the world, has managed to organize a successful campaign that through pressure put an end to the stoning in Iran. In addition, it was possible by public pressure to save from their execution several people sentenced to death, according to the website of the ex-Muslims.
The fact that a woman stands so loudly and courageously against political Islam at all levels is difficult to bear for reactionary and misogynistic organizations and governments, but also for the Muslim around the corner. Mina Ahadi is repeatedly the target of attempts at intimidation or even death threats.
The right signal from the federal government would therefore be to better protect human rights defenders, especially in their own country, so that they can carry out their important work without restrictions and the constant fear for life and limb, the ex-Muslims continued.
In view of this situation of risk, the current Islam appeasment by 1.FC Cologne is a slap in the face of all those who speak out against Islamic dictatorships. 1. FC Köln, however, finds nothing wrong in showing the German DITIB central mosque on its new jerseys and sells this to its fans as “multi-cultural tolerance”. The mosque shown is not just any forest-and-meadow mosque. It is not just any DITIB mosque, either. It is the headquarters of all German DITIB mosques, which were founded by the Turkish “Presidium for Religious Affairs” (Diaynet), which reports directly to the Turkish Islamic despot Erdogan. (SB)
