Hizballah weapons and explosives stored for the next jihad against Israel? Possibly.

“Beirut blast: Massive explosion shakes Lebanon’s capital; at least 50 dead, thousands injured,” by Danielle Wallace and Bradford Betz, Fox News, August 4, 2020:
A massive explosion shook Beirut on Tuesday, killing at least 50 people and injuring thousands of others while flattening much of the port, damaging buildings across the capital, and sending a giant mushroom cloud into the sky.
The cause of the explosion remains unclear. The Lebanese Red Cross tweeted that more than 30 teams were responding to the scene of the blast via ambulances.
The health minister said at least 50 people were killed and over 2,700 were injured….
Abbas Ibrahim, chief of Lebanese General Security, said the explosion might have been caused by highly explosive material that was confiscated from a ship some time ago and stored at the port. Local television channel LBC said the material was sodium nitrate….
Witnesses reported seeing a strange orange-colored cloud over the site after the explosion. Orange clouds of toxic nitrogen dioxide gas often accompany an explosion involving nitrates.
Video taken by residents showed a fire raging at the port, sending up a giant column of smoke, illuminated by flashes of what appear to be fireworks. Local TV stations reported that a fireworks warehouse was involved.
The fire then appeared to catch at a nearby building, triggering a more massive explosion, sending up a mushroom cloud and a shock wave.
Hours after the explosion ambulances were still carrying away the wounded. Officials said the city’s hospitals were filled to capacity….
The cause of the blast is under investigation but Hezbollah is already in the limelight, multiple intelligence sources told Fox News.
“There are cars with dead people in the streets under rubble, and the medical infrastructure was already at full speed due to the pandemic and lack of supplies,” one source in the region said.
Another source told Fox News that the port was unofficially controlled by Hezbollah, thus pointing out that other adverse players in the region could have played a role.
An Israeli government official said Israel “had nothing to do” with the blast. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the matter with the media. Israeli officials usually do not comment on “foreign reports.”…

This not connected to Hizbollah but to a store of ammonium nitrate insecurely stored in a warehouse. Though I am surprised those people had not heard about it and stolen it

Are you for real,Hizbollah do know about it?

According to a guest on NewsMax, the airport where the ammonium nitrate was stored, was controlled by Hezbollah.
It gets more interesting, by the day.

The BIG problem with muslims is that they don’t know how to play nice with others. Most of the rest of the World learnt how by the age of 6 (except for the odd psychopath and sociopath). If they don’t get their way they blame someone else and throw a tantrum.

Why is it that everything that goes wrong in these God-forsaken Arab countries it is blamed on Israel? And what is that reference to a synagogue anyway? Looks like today Hezbollah wiped themselves off the port of Beirut.
Dawne says
We can only hope that Hezbollah has been seriously damaged by this blowing up of their explosives store. Idiots can’t even store the stuff properly.
Dawne says
Sabri – you really just show the idiocy of Islam and its followers. This was Hezbollah’s weapons store which blew up due to their incompetence in storage. Hezbollah controls the port in Beirut and they planned to use the explosives against Israel. Israel has offered assistance to the Lebanese government. But pointless really trying to explain the obvious to a blinkered, low IQ supporter of this deadly religion.

Wow Blaming Israelis? It is the Islamic Satan the M0hammad instruction to Hezbollah.trying to store the explosive in populated area, which Satan Hezbollah does.

Since the day Mohammedans took over the reign of authority in Lebanon in the early 1970s, the Jews are blamed for even the smallest shortcoming of the Mohammedans. Exterminating the Israelis by whatever means would not wish your shortcoming away. Grow up and think!

Agreed, Martin.
Besides, so many people have cell phones now that any event that happens during the day in a densely populated area is bound to have someone filming at the time.

Because there was already a fire so people were streaming the fire. Nobody knew there was ammonium nitrate there or else they’d have fled.

Minus the Islamic faith, everything else the same, what are the chances this “event” and, let’s see here, just since 9/11 over 37,000 other terrorist attacks committed in the name of an extremely warped ideology, would have occurred?
Islam is disgusting. It is a burden to all mankind, even to peaceful, i.e., lazy, Muslims who think it something good.
It is not.
Ramez says
There’s no such thing as a peaceful adult Mohammedan!
The other day, I saw a Mohammedan telling his 8-year-old daughter to slit the throat of a bound calf which she, to my absolute horror, did without a flinch.
The savagery of 99.9999999999% of adult Mohammedans knows no bounds.
RichardL says
every year in Egypt it was laughing children around a cow or a sheep in agony. allah hates humans so the humans who are allahist, hate every living thing.
Ramez says
I had expected my comment above, the one to which you’ve replied, to garner the attention of JW commenters in their dozens and arouse outcries against the fiendishness of Mohammedans, but, alas, that wasn’t the case; too many non-Koranimals, including JW readers, persist in their delusions of “peaceful” adult Muslims.
I’m sorry for my relatively poor command of English.
gravenimage says
Ramez, if large numbers of posters do not reply to your every comment, this does not mean that they ergo think that Islam is peaceful.
And your English is fine.
Wellington says
If you read my comment in its entirety, you would have realized that my reference to “peaceful Muslims, i.e., lazy Muslims,” functions as a complete indictment of Islam.
You missed this. Big time.
zimriel says
Ramez, with respect: this is farm life, to slaughter livestock. Farmers do bring up their sons to know where their food comes from. Daughters too on occasion.
Would you rather children grew up to be soy boys and green-haired genderfluids? Because we’re living that dream now.
Better Islam than what we have now, frankly. Because what we have now is dying.
Pray Hard says
“Better Islam than what we have now, frankly.” Congratulations. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve read this week. Better islam, my ass.
ELI says
I don’t think you are familiar with the rules at jihadwatch. Here are a couple that I have been able to discern
1. It’s only bad when Muslims do it. So your example of farmer life is irrelevant since they’re not evil like Muslims. If you want to have fun ask them about Kosher slaughter they will twist themselves in knots to avoid condemning jewish slaughter while simultaneously calling Halal slaughter barbaric
2. Insults are part of the argument here so you’re going to be insulted on a regular basis and everyone will be just fine with that. It only becomes a problem if you dare respond in kind, then they’re all outraged.
Dawne says
No – definitely not better with Islam. And there is such a thing as humane slaughter.
gravenimage says
Civilized Infidels do not torture animals and cut their throats in the streets. ELI hopes we don’t know this.
Savvy Kafir says
Zimriel — Firstly, NOTHING is better than Islam. Secondly, there’s a huge difference between killing animals quickly and humanely for food and taking pleasure in the suffering of animals, as many Muslims do. And thirdly, not everyone who decides that meat is just not worth the suffering and death of animals is a “soy boy or green-haired genderfluid”. I was a hunter and spearfishman for many years, but gave it up and became a vegetarian. I’m still a red-blooded heterosexual who plays with guns and knives; I just got sick of the unnecessary suffering and death I was responsible for.
Savvy Kafir says
Oops! That should have been: “Firstly, ANYTHING is better than Islam.”

Years ago Ramez, I had to slaughter a full grown pig myself for a big party and meal our church was having that year. I went to the farm and quickly killed it, and I did not eat any of that pig that night. Many of us in the world have become so disconnected from how our meals of once alive animals come to us, that we recoil in horror when faced with it. Previous generations did not. I don’t imagine most had ever had much joy in it though. I don’t know what the answer is entirely, but God knows, and will reveal it to us when the world is mended.
RichardL says
I am a hunter and I have also done slaughtering at home. I have killed a lot of animals. You do it so it doesn’t cause pain, just quick death. It is a fellow being. Not for allahists.

gravenimage says
Grimly true.
Dawne says
Their attitude to both animals and humans and the cruelty endemic in the religion is disgusting. Halal slaughter (slitting the animal’s throat for it to die slowly by exsanguination) with no stunning is appalling and it’s a disgrace that it’s allowed in western countries. I campaign constantly against it in the UK but the politicians I contact just don’t want to know. Even the Veterinary Society in the UK has demanded that the practice be stopped but the appeasement of muslims knows no bounds here. Supermarkets here will not even label meat as “halal” or “non-halal”. I only buy meat which I know has been humanely slaughtered but it’s getting harder and harder and believe it or not I have to order meat online to be delivered by courier from a butcher in Dorset [200 miles away] where I know it has been humanely reared and slaughtered.
I hate what the muslim influx has done to my country. People simply don’t ask themselves why is it that other ethnic/religious groups have integrated successfully here but the muslims do not?
gravenimage says
Yes–you see Muslims having little children cut the throats of animals all the time. This desensitizes them.

no offense to the allahu snackbars but storing the oklahoma city bombing material next to fireworks and presumably fuel wasn’t smart. I really am worried i think this was a failed sabotage job by mossad-they didnt expect the blast-they were just destroying rockets and accidentally set off the sodium nitrate later in the fire.
I think there will be backlash when hezbollah admits they had the stuff but lebanon finds out it was sabotage.
I do wish there had been cellphone video on 9/11 we would have seen so much that no conspiracy theory would have gained credence.
No one is going to admit it was so lucky that many things helped prevent this being the worst terror action/military accident of the 21st century.

Lebanon’s PM vows to make officials ‘pay the price’ after Beirut explosions
Lebanon’s Prime Minister Hassan Diab vowed to hold certain official responsible for the explosions that took place in Beirut earlier Tuesday.
Addressing the nation after the explosion that has so far killed at least 30 people and injured more than 3,000, Diab said the government would reveal the facts about a “dangerous” warehouse at the Port of Beirut, which he said was there since 2014.
Diab also pleaded with the international community for assistance after the “catastrophe.”
“I am sending an urgent appeal to friendly and brotherly countries … that love Lebanon, to stand by its side and help us treat these deep wounds,” Diab said.

[…]“Highly explosive materials,” seized by the government years ago, were stored where the explosions occurred, said Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim, the head of Lebanon’s general security service, according to the National News Agency.
President Michel Aoun later confirmed that explosive substances were held there. Neither of them said what those materials were, but General Ibrahim warned against getting “ahead of the investigation” and speculating about a terrorist act.
Prime Minister Hassan Diab said in a televised statement, “Facts on this dangerous depot, which has existed since 2014 or the past six years, will be announced.”
“What happened today will not come to pass without accountability,” Mr. Diab said. “Those responsible will pay a price for this catastrophe.” he said. “This is a promise to the martyrs and wounded people. This is a national commitment.”
