The Left steps up its all-out war against reality. My latest at FrontPage:
The far-Left hate site Raw Story took the opportunity of the 19th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 jihad terror attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people to advance the claim that nowadays, the foremost threat the nation faces is not from jihadis, but from – you guessed it – “far-right white supremacists who love Trump.” It’s as predictable as it is absurd.
The Raw Story piece, written by Alex Henderson and picked up from the even loonier AlterNet, claims that “although the 9/11 terrorist attacks underscored the dangerous fanaticism of far-right Islamist groups, countless Republicans and supporters of President Donald Trump have ignored or downplayed another terrorist threat from the far right — white supremacy and white nationalism — and that threat is alive and well in the Trump era.”
Henderson’s bogeymen are as predictable as his slant: “And anti-Islam extremists like Jihad Watch’s Robert Spencer and his ally, Pamela Geller, would have us believe that the terrorist threat posed by white supremacists and white nationalists and the terrorist threat posed by Islamist groups are in no way comparable. But one need only look at the history of white supremacist terrorism to realize how ignorant that claim is.”
“Extremist” is a carefully chosen word. During the Obama administration, it became the intelligence community’s favored euphemism for Islamic jihadis. By smearing Pamela Geller and me with the same label, Henderson is essentially saying that she and I are terrorists – the flip side of the Islamic jihadis, the “far-right” terrorists who prove that there are “extremists” of all creeds, and that the problem of “extremism” is not limited to Islam alone.
This is not only defamatory, as neither Pamela Geller nor I have ever advocated, justified, approved of, or applauded any violence, but it paints a large target on our backs for anyone who decides to strike out against the “extremist” threat, and makes us vulnerable to being shut down by the social media giants (which is, of course, already happening) in their efforts to curb “extremism.”
But even worse is that Henderson’s claim here, if believed, will lead people to discount an actual threat in favor of a chimera, a threat that is minuscule but has been immensely exaggerated for political purposes. White supremacists do not exist in sufficient number, so Alex Henderson and his cohorts have to invent them.
A moment’s consideration shows how absurd the idea that there is a “far-right” threat that dwarfs the jihad threat really is. After all, just look at what the damn white supremacists are doing in Nigeria and Pakistan. Remember the MAGA-hat-wearing thugs who are rioting in Sweden over Trump cartoons, and the Trump “Grab Em By The —” gangs that are running rampant in Britain, and the white supremacist migrants who are responsible for a massive crime wave in Europe.
Of course, there are no such people, but Islamic jihadis and supremacists are doing all of that and more. And besides being ridiculous, Henderson’s claim isn’t even original. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), in a 2018 interview, fed the fires of the “white supremacist terror” hysteria when she asserted that “our country [no, not Somalia] should be more fearful of white men across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country.” Omar also offered a ready solution: “Profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men.”
As I noted back in November 2018 when CNN’s intrepid journalist Don Lemon made the same claim, it originated with an April 2017 Government Accountability Office (GAO) study that counted 106 people killed in 62 attacks by “far-right violent extremists,” as compared to 119 people killed in 23 attacks by “radical Islamist violent extremists.”
That’s right: 62 attacks by “far-right violent extremists,” as opposed to only 23 attacks by “radical Islamist violent extremists.” A slightly larger number of people were killed in the jihad attacks, but there were so many more “far-right” attacks that this establishes conclusively that America has a much bigger problem with the “far-right” than with jihadis. Doesn’t it?
It doesn’t. One major problem with the Government Accountability Office study leaps out from page 6 of its report, where you will see that the count of fatalities committed by “far right wing extremists” and “radical Islamist extremists” begins on September 12, 2001. Why was that day chosen? Why not start the study at the beginning of a year, or of this century?
The answer is clear: if the GAO had gone back one more day, the number of Americans killed by Islamic jihadists would have been several thousand more than those killed by “far-right violent extremists.” The GAO obviously started its study on September 12, 2001, in order to manipulate the results so as to exaggerate the terror threat from the “far-right” and minimize it from Islamic jihadis. This is a “study” that was conducted in order to justify a predetermined conclusion, not a genuinely dispassionate search for the truth.
What’s more, the study doesn’t take failed plots into account. At Jihad Watch, I’ve tracked jihad activity in the United States and around the world every day since October 2003. In the course of that nearly sixteen-year span, I’ve posted hundreds of reports on failed jihad plots inside this country. No one was killed or injured in those, and for that we can all be grateful. But if those plots had succeeded, there would have been hundreds and possibly thousands more fatalities of Islamic jihad activity.
Those failed plots are quickly forgotten. But they shouldn’t be, especially in considerations of which threat to Americans is larger. It should also be noted that there is nowhere near an equivalent number of foiled plots by “far-right violent extremists.” Most Americans have no idea how determinedly jihadis are continuing to attempt mass murder inside the United States.
Even worse, the GAO study doesn’t take into account the fact that there is a global network of Islamic jihadis. They are found on every inhabited continent. Major jihad organizations such as al-Qaeda and the Islamic State have repeatedly called upon Muslims to murder Americans.
By contrast, there is no global network of “right-wing extremists,” and they have not called for the indiscriminate murder of American civilians.
As ubiquitous as this propaganda is, insistent repetitions of Big Lies doesn’t make them true – even when they’re repeated by that saintly victim, Ilhan Omar, and her obliging establishment media stooges such as Alex Henderson of AlterNet.

Just more Leftist BS. Since late May, 48 of the 50 largest cities in America have had some kind of riot, in many cities lasting for quite a few weeks. In not one of these cities am I aware that any Far Right group is involved unless in the most marginal of ways, if even this. All these riots, as best I have been able to determine, have been driven by Far Left groups like BLM and Antifa.
Being a Leftist brings many negatives. Overall cluelessness is one of them. Massive distortion of the past is another. Hatred (often subconsciously) of real freedom is one more. Yet another is a pure psychological phenomenon—self-loathing. Having your head stuck up your ass comes in at #1.

The divide between left and right is really safety vs freedom. Freedom implies acceptance of risk. But when your first value is safety, your worst fear is other people behaving unpredictably, as free people often will. Take away freedom, and you have perfect safety Or so the left believes, in that instinct-driven part of the mind that most people are not aware of.

What did more damage to the country, 9-11 or the hillary supporting Fauci illegally funding the Chinese lab where the virus came from? In the wake of President Trumps election the democrat left have gone in to full blown domestic terrorism mode from every angle they could come up with. They have carried on a relentless campaign of harassment directed at our President and his supporters. With all of what has been going on I feel like I am the only person asking, what are they hiding? Whatever it is it must be something really big. The despicable left calling Trump supporters deplorable, what a completely unfunny joke that is.
The democrat left are willing to destroy lives and livelihoods because their chosen candidate lost. It is obvious to see that the democrat left are willing to bring down the entire country through their four year tantrum. As I wrote here more than a decade ago, who needs bin laden and 9-11 when we have the democrat left. In a just world many of their leaders both elected or appointed would be rounded up and tried for sedition, perhaps even crimes against humanity. Personally, I would prefer to read about them being found face down in the mud in a roadside ditch but that’s just my thought on the issue.

I don’t fact check for leftists but if you feel so strongly on that issue you go right ahead.
Dr. Fauci, funded scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and other institutions for work on gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses. This was after the research was prohibited in the USA. That would be involvement.

At this point, it’s blatantly obvious that COVID-19 is just an excuse for big (leftist) governments to control every aspect of their citizens’ lives EVEN MORE than they already do. Surveillance drones, police patrols, facial recognition programs… All for the purpose of bringing down the hammer upon anyone who would dare oppose these exorbitant “restrictions”. Except leftist rioters, of course. Mobs of BLM/Antifa rioting and burning down cities is perfectly fine because it aligns with the agenda. But a woman surfing alone on an empty beach? An old lady walking her dog in the countryside? A family out on a picnic in the middle of nowhere? SWAT TEAM, GO GO GO!!!
While I can’t say I know for a fact that Leftist elites (like Hillary) are directly responsible for COVID-19, I can clearly see how this pandemic is working in their favor, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s actually true. Also, the media is having a field day with it because they LOVE instilling panic and drum up fear among the people. There was a poll done recently which asked people in the Western countries how much percent of population do they think perished from the virus, and the general answer is around 10-20% which is 1000% more than reality (thanks, media!). And even those tiny real numbers are inflated because a large number of COVID-19 patients died from other causes, but the main cause of death was always put down as COVID-19.
Also, no one seems to mention that the recovery rate is over 90%. I know this for a fact because a dozen of my friend had it and they all recovered after a week or two just fine. One guy had a bit of difficulty with breathing, but he recovered after 3 days in the hospital. And children don’t even feel it! It’s basically a slightly stronger case of flu. People seem to have forgotten that this isn’t the first COVID variant that got out. Remember bird flu and pig flu? Same media panic was drummed up but nothing came out of it so it got buried. It’s almost like this pandemic was attempted before but without success…

First and foremost ,President Trump had nothing to do with white supremacist in the past and nothing to do with them in the present and will, it’s safe to say ,have nothing to do with them the future.
The leftist who claim otherwise are only exposing their own ignorance.
Second, the left wing people who feel that the extreme “right wing” White supremacist,,who President Trump detests, could never murder as many people as the Muslim jihadist of al Qaeda did 9/11 ,as the other jihadists who put them up to it ,because they are simple minded people of a weak cognition and low brain level .
In contrast many of the jihadists of al Qaeda and ISIS have a greater intellectual mind capacity with high brain power and therefore have the scheming cognition to create mass murder and terrible destruction in future Islamic terror attacks
What America does need is President Trump for four more years because he has high intelligence and cognition level to match or unthink the scheming jihadists as those of ISIS and al Qaeda .
In fact President Trump may even have the intelligence of two former US Presidents ,Washington and Jefferson
Therefore with the naming of those to former American Presidents along with this nineteenth anniversary of the abominations which occurred on September 11, 2001, it’s thus very appropriate to site the wisdom of the first Constitutional President of the United States of America, George Washington, who had, so well explained “To be prepared for war is one of the most effectual means of preserving peace.” Moreover President Washington stated that “However pacific the general policy of the nation may be ,it ought never be without an adequate stock of military knowledge for emergencies.”
Furthermore, with this post- 9/11 USA it should likewise be remembered that one very good way to defeat the jihadists who compose the many brutal and deadly Islamic terror entities ,such as al Qaeda, ISIS, the Taliban, is by the means of a very strong power of US military might. As Thomas Jefferson had declared “With every barbarous people …force is law.”

The threat from the far-right is not an illusion (remember Timothy McVeigh?). At some point the far-right and far-left become indistinguishable — after all, it doesn’t matter to the people doing the dying whose bullet they caught or why it was fired. Also the far-left has become as racist as the far-right (if not more so).
That being said, the far-left has unquestionably been the bigger problem more recently and promises to continue being so. The worst of that group is trying to detract from its evil doings by pointing fingers at the far-right. That is to be expected. Both ideologies may be similarly vile but the enormity of the far-left’s current attack on western democracies is unprecedented. It is to be opposed with almost all the power the West can muster, saving a little to deal with the far-right who mustn’t get a “pass” just because they are currently somewhat less active.
Wellington says
I disagree. The threat from the Far Right borders on the non-existent. Timothy McVeigh only proves this since he was twenty-five years ago. Moreover, even then, the Far Right had no major “supply” system as the Far Left had had for decades—the takeover of the educational establishment from pre-K through graduate school and the sponsoring of idiotic, Far Left groups like BLM by major corporations such as the Ford Foundation, Walmart, Disney, et al.
The Far Right is virtually a nothing. It IS an illusion.
Your turn if you care.

Rarely should carry on in the search for the far right bogeyman. That should keep ’em busy. Rarely, your implication that there have been no Jihad terror attacks over the past 19 years is simply mistaken, I’m afraid. You read here regularly–I’m not sure how you got that idea.
And one need not be a supporter of the far-right to consider Trump voters to be less of a threat than are Jihad terrorists.
Wellington says
You have mislabeled matters, Rarely. There are not “energetic supporters of the far-right on this site.” Rather, what it is being maintained, and I have certainly maintained it, is that the Far Right is not much of a threat anymore. It doesn’t control the educational system, doesn’t control the MSM and is not part of the Deep State.
Stating that a particular influence had become a very minimal influence is NOT the same as being an energetic supporter of that faded away influence. You reasoning is erroneous here, even cheap.
Reziac says
And the only reason our 9/11 is an outlier is because it was larger than average (about 10% of the total deaths from Islamic terror in the past 19 years), which was mostly a function of the chosen target.
Here’s a running list for just the past month:

That other attacks have not been as large is not for want of trying (there are others that number in the hundreds; see the annual lists from the menu).

Is Rarely contending that McVeigh was a Far Right Group? Yes, there are some examples of far right violent lone wolves. If there are any far right groups which have carried out attacks, they have escaped my attention. Perhaps Rarely can enlighten me.
Jocelynn Cordes says
Interesting distinction between lone wolves and groups. I recently questioned some leftist’s tweet about far-right extremists being the greatest danger by asking if she could name 5 such attacks.
What followed was an interesting pile-on from scads of people who, amid their insults, included long lists of such incidents.
My response was to cite a week’s worth of Islamic attacks from The Religion of Peace website, which naturally didn’t mollify any of these rabid nuts despite the fact that the rather large number of dead were from a WEEK’S worth rather than years.
But I did encounter something intriguing: the assertion that Islam is ALSO far-right.
How can this be? If American conservatives who desire limited government are “far right” how can the adherents of an expansionist totalitarian ideology who wish to create a world-wide Ummah ALSO be far right?
Any one care to comment?

19 Years After 9/11, Leftists Say Biggest Terror Threat is Trump Supporters

The far-left certainly likes to label ALL Trump supporters as extreme far-right. The extreme far-right (including any real bad characters) will certainly support the furthest right candidate but they are hardly typical of the average Trump supporter. However their rhetoric is often so disturbing that it is easily blown out of proportion by Trump’s opposition. Trump would be wise to distance himself from these clowns (or at least ignore them) rather than welcoming them on board. If they are so few as not to matter (as is suggested by many here — see above) it won’t hurt Trump one bit to do so.
Wellington says
Trump specifically condemned by name the KKK and Neo-Nazis. This was back in August of 2017 when the “Charlottesville incident” occurred. Still, Trump was characterized as being racist by the left-wing media.
By contrast, Obama had representatives at the White House of Black Lives Matter (BLM), which by the admission of it three founders—Tometi, Garza and Cullors—is a Marxist organization. BLM is also racist (e.g., at rallies in the states of Missouri and Washington whites were told go to the back of the crowd). Obama wouldn’t even condemn the New Black Panther Party which has called for the genocide of the white race.
And yet it’s Trump who is the racist. Phony world.
Daniel Triplett says
A neo-Nazi runs over a BLM supporter in Charlottesville, then the Left and MSM rabidly foam at the mouth for years calling Trump and all his supporters racist. That incident could’ve easily been the other way around, with a BLM guy running over a neo-Nazi, in which case everyone would’ve yawned — just like a few weeks ago when the Antifa guy shot and killed a Trump supporter in a MAGA parade in Portland; long forgotten now, and I don’t think the MSM even mentioned it at all.

It’s best to disregard , forget and ignore any of senseless claims made by those politically correct unthinking leftists , with their absurd Red/Green alliance
Moreover, with that ,now recently past nineteenth anniversary of those murderous and destructive jihad affronts which occurred on September 11, 2001 its thus fitting to post again this following essay..
There is a rather old song that was written way before the murderous jihad affronts which occurred on September 11, 2001. That many apply to this current late decade of this twenty–first century.
The title of that song to “Try to remember…
”
Some of the lyrics to well apply to now are “Try to remember the kind of September when life was slow and ho, so mellow… Try to remember the kind of September when you were a tender and callow fellow…Try to remember the kind of September when life was tender that no one wept expect the willow… Try to remember the kind of September when love was a ember about to billow…
”
Yes, that was the past and the somewhat as it was pre- 9/11 Septembers before those Islamic terror murder attacks on that specific day.
Now viewing things as they are .Life is no longer slow of mellow. For all patriotic Americans need the be fast and keep up with news and information regarding Muslim terrorist activities. Now men can’t be so tender and callow. Men need to keep strong vigilance for things, items and individuals the appear suspicious and it’s no longer good be naïve. Likewise the lyrics of the song further went “Try to remember the kind of September when life was so tender that no one wept expect the willow…” Now many people have wept because of the heinously vicious murdering actions commit by Muslim terrorists. In addition, the old song lyrics further are “Try to remember the kind of September when love was an ember about to billow…” Now love instead of being and “ember about to billow” the sad and tragic reality is vicious hate by jihad-minded Muslims now pose a danger. Nevertheless, people of the West need to reject hate as to not be of the same mindset as the jihadists are
Therefore, don’t let them fool you, the many apologists for Islam is will endeavor to set up a smokescreen to hide the reality of the truth about the violence and deadly essence of Islam by making the bogus claim that the al Qaeda operatives mass murderer on 9/11 were not real Muslims and that they were breaking the laws of the Qu ‘ran by their violence and deadly actions.” The apologists for Islam will further make the totally false claim that “Those terrorists on 9/11 were only criminals who hijacked the peaceful religion of Islam for Politics.”
Those outrageously false claims are weak attempt of damage control for the image of Islam to the West. For the “holy book” of Islam the Qu ‘ran. For the Qu ‘ran instruct in Sura 9:111. Muslims who are engaging the jihad that “The believer’s fight in Allah’s Cause, they slay and are slain ,they kill and are killed “ That’s just what happened on September 11, 2001 the jihadists of al Qaeda “killed and were killed” in those 9/11 jihad attacks against both humankind and America. The Quran also teaches in Sura 9:123 to that jihad –minded Muslims behavior towards non-Muslims “let them find harshness in you…” Those Islamic attacks on 9/11 were indeed very “harsh.” As Sura 2:191 instructs “kill the disbeliever wherever you find them.” That’s a very strange kind of “peaceful religion” if there ever was one. Just to site one more out on many from the Qu ‘ran about the instruction of deadly violence is Sura 47:4. Which instructs “Whenever you encounter unbelievers strike off their heads until you make a great slaughter among them …”
Let’s face it, using jet planes a missiles as those jihadist/ Muslims did of September 11, sure made a greater “slaughter among them” then sword can. Wake up West to the actual nature of Islam before it’s too late.
