Al-Qaeda threatens Charlie Hebdo with ‘2015 like massacre’ over republication of Muhammad cartoons

Sep 14, 2020 1:00 pm By Robert Spencer 36 Comments

This is the showdown for the West. Will free societies bow to violent threats and willingly give up the freedom of speech? Or will they defend that freedom? The more we bow to violent intimidation, the more violent intimidation we will get.

“Islamic terror group Al-Qaeda threatens Charlie Hebdo with a ‘2015 like massacre’ for deciding to republish Prophet Mohammad cartoons,” OpIndia, September 12, 2020:

After Islamists from countries like Pakistan and Iran admonished the French Magazine’s decision, terror organisation Al-Qaeda has also joined in to threaten of a ‘2015 like massacre’ if it does not reevaluate its decision to reprint the controversial pictures.

Threats have been looming over the French weekly satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, ever since it has announced that it will republish cartoons of Prophet Mohammed. After Islamists from countries like Pakistan and Iran admonished the French Magazine’s decision, terror organisation Al-Qaeda has also joined in to threaten Charlie Hebdo of a ‘2015 like massacre’ if it does not reevaluate its decision to reprint the controversial pictures.

Earlier, Charlie Hebdo had announced that it will republish cartoons of prophet Mohammed that had caused Islamic Terrorists to launch a terror attack against them in 2015 as the trial against the perpetrators gets underway.

The November 2015 Paris massacre was a series of coordinated terrorist attacks by Islamic State terrorists who launched a brutal attack in Paris in France and the city’s northern suburb, Saint-Denis, leaving France reeling for months, dredging up sorrows, fury and horror. It began with three suicide bombers striking outside the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, during a football match, followed by several mass shootings and a suicide bombing, at cafés and restaurants. The attack had left almost 130 people dead including 90 at the Bataclan theatre and as many as 413 injured.

Earlier in January 2015, Islamic terrorists belonging to al-Qaeda had attacked the Charlie Hebdo office in Paris with assault rifles and other weapons, killing 12 people and injuring many…

    ‘Control through threats and fear.’ This seems to be one of the basic principles of islamic ideology. Maintain control ‘under the shadow of the sword’. It it wasn’t for the fear of death…islam would have collapsed a very long time ago and would be just a footnote in the history of the world.

      “Strike terror into the hearts of the kuffar”
      What a pity we cannot respond with
      “terror under a mushroom cloud”
      because that is what Islam is crying out for…

      Just as Japan’s Code of Bushido did.

      Sick of this idiotic “religion” and all
      the morons that believe & support it.

    If there is another strike against “Charlie Hebdo,” I wonder if the so called moderate Muslims will offer a heart felt apology for their brothers and sisters who commit these atrocities. At least once a week someone in the media offers his or her regrets for the Christ Church Mosque incident while I have yet to hear or read anything resembling words of regret for the atrocity committed on 11 September 2001 by Islamists nor have I read or heard CAIR or any other major Muslim Brotherhood organization offer sympathy for those slaughtered in New York, Washington, D.C. or the crash in Pennsylvania. Every time there is an insult, much less actual physical harm, occurs, the press is full of woes about the plight of the poor members of Islam.

    People should learn from Erdogan when he states that there is no moderate or extremist Islam, only Islam. Most if not all of us here at JW can recite most of the passages from the Qur’an and Hadith that justify, and in some cases mandate, atrocities against the infidel but due to the complicity of the mass media most people living in the West are ignorant of their surroundings. The saddest aspect is that when one attempts to educate our friends and neighbors, they become very agitated when the truth attempts to pull their head from the sand.

      “The saddest aspect…” Too true, Ray. Two of my lifelong friends ‘drank the Kool Aid’ as Americans succinctly put it. Fully indoctrinated by the BBC, Guardian & assorted other media, both highly intelligent educated guys. And both MORONS. Apparently.

    Al-Qaeda is a military unit Charlie Hebdo is a civilian french magazine , I really appreciate their willingness to defend freedom of speech but it’s an unequal fight . The showdown shouldn’t be between the two ot them but between western military inteligentia and Al-Qaeda . It’s a too havy burden to carry for a small french magazine without any help from the french government.

        Are you sure ? my understanding was that Charlie Hebdo had been harshly criticized by foreign and domestic media for provoking the whole situation and that no one from the french ruling elite had spoken in favour of Charlie Hebdo.

    I think someone should introduce a law stating that if a Muslim kills someone for publishing a cartoon of Mohammed, that is not a crime.

    At least, that will be a value clarifying exercise. As the left always sides with the murdering Muslims, then let the left have the courage of their convictions and state that in their moral universe, this is not a crime. For that’s what their siding with Muslims amounts to.

      That provision is already a feature of Sharia law:

      One who reviles the Prophet is to be killed.
      Anyone may perform the killing vigilante-style.
      There is no punishment since “it is killing someone who deserves to die”
      (Manual of Islamic Law, “Reliance of the Traveller”, o8.4).

    How about a BURAQ competition..?

    Buraq:muhammed’s winged flying donkey with a woman’s face and a peacock tail:you know the one he flew on when he went on his magical mystery journey from mecca to Jerusalem{769 miles as the Donkey..sorry,the Crow flies}

    Which is worse: a picture of muhammed or muhammed on his winged flying donkey?
    {You can see pics of muhammed if you google buraq:and they come from islamic sources,so you see it is nonsense that pics of muhammed cannot be drawn}

    If such creature is clearly fabricated then HOW did muhammed{pbuh ,parody be the undoing of him}get to Jerusalem from mecca ?

    And we know muhammed liked to fabricate things{..like that he was a prophet.. }because he told us so.

    “I have fabricated things against God and imputed to him things he has not said”

      Of course the Temple that became the Masjid al Aqsa mosque did not exist at the time of Mohammad’s mystical flight to Jerusalem….Sura 17.1 could have only been written after the mosque was built therefore the Sura is probably nothing but fiction….

        Yes.That is true.

        As Yasir [‘HOLES in the standard narrative’] Qadhi says, when you take a deep dive into the koran things get ‘very very awkward’.

        So muhammed flew on a winged flying donkey{which couldn’t possibly have existed} to visit a mosque in Jerusalem{which couldn’t possibly have existed (in mo’s time)}

        koran 17.1 is obviously Fiction: an Arabian fairy tale.

        FYI, it was only recently-conquered cultures with a strong picture-making tradition–Persia, India, and Anatolia–that briefly featured images of the “Prophet”. Even then, most of these images were meant for private consumption.

    Instead of insulting ugly Mo there should be protests about the many mosques being built, about Sharia law being brought into the state laws, about the horrific halal butcheries and perhaps a referendum on whether the people of the country actually want muslims living in their midst. The result would be interesting.

    Certainly al Qaeda will intend to use the republication of the Muhammad cartoons as an excuse to mass massacre Westerners. In this specific case principally the French.

    As it’s been said “Evil is always looking for an excuse.”

    For sure al Qaeda would like to use the reprinting of those Charles Hebdo cartoons of Muhammad as a way to “justify ” another murderous bloodthirsty jihad massacre of the French people ,as that terrible night in Paris in that other bloody deadly jihadists of ISIS had committed .

    Be they the death inflecting and destructive jihadists of either al Qaeda or ISIS ,they are all so fiendishly violent ,heinous and evil that they very similar to those hideous villains described in the Bible.

    Which reads “Their feet are swift to shed blood ; destruction and misery are in their ways; and the way of peace they have not known.” Romans 3: 15-17. [N.K.J .V.]

    The French Govt must take sides and declare unequivocally that any new attack on the magazine office will be taken as an attack on the State of France and severe military consequences (even a nuclear bombing) can be expected in retaliation.. This is the only lang, these mad roaches understand. Short of this, nothing will work and a second attack may eventuate anytime.

    Islam is a cult style of religion using threats and fear to control its followers. Freedom of speech and thought can not be allowed because that may reduce the power of Islam’s leaders.
    Power is the key to Islam. If I can step on you or kill you with no repercussions then I have total control over you and everyone else below me. Islam gives that power to men over women and it dictatorship leaders over everyone they can gain rule over.

    Even though it’s al Qaeda speaking its still a reminder of that jihadist who had committed his murderous attacks in the French city of Strasbourg last December was indeed most heinous Even before this Strasbourg Muslim terrorist attack there were those vicious ISIS jihad attack and those brutal murdering Islamic terror attacks on November 13,14 2015 and then that Nice, France jihad murdering jihad attack on July 14, 2016 in an ISIS audio recording broadcasted on September 2014 declared “If you can kill a disbelieving American or European especially the spiteful and filthy French …kill him in any manner or way however it may be.” [1]

    This alone exposes the vicious and malicious way of thinking of the jihadist who composes ISIS. The result of this wicked mindset where those heinously malice – filled jihad mindset was carried out by those by those Islamic jihadist deadly attacks in Paris and Nice. Furthermore the jihadists of ISIS sure have some gall calling the French “spiteful” since it’s the jihadist ISIS thugs who are so very spiteful that they murder people in many extremely cruel ways. Likewise, the ISIS savages have some gall calling the French “filthy” Since it’s the ISIS jihadist villains who the ones who are so lawless and vile that the kidnap and rape both girls and women.

    It’s only a matter of time before there will be further jihad attacks in France. It’s not if but when another violent and deadly Islamic terror attack or attacks will happen .
