Hungary rejects EU’s new calls for open borders, insisting on right of sovereign states to control their own borders

Sep 19, 2020 3:00 pm By Christine Douglass-Williams 48 Comments

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has for a considerable period declared his commitment to protect his Christian country against mass migration and Islamization. In 2015, he said that the swarm of migrants flowing into Europe looked more “like an army.” Now, he adds: “I don’t even want to think about the integration of Muslim people in Europe. The most we could hope for is a peaceful life next to each other, which is called a parallel society.”

Orban also warned in 2015:

What we have been facing is not a refugee crisis. This is a migratory movement composed of economic migrants, refugees and also foreign fighters. This is an uncontrolled and unregulated process.

The Hungarian Prime Minister has meanwhile been spending millions to help persecuted Christians in Syria and Iraq, despite accusations of being “racist”; the EU has ignored these persecuted people.

“Hungary Strikes Back Against E.U. ‘Open Borders’ Propaganda,” by Thomas D. Williams, Breitbart, September 15, 2020:

ROME —The Hungarian government has rejected new calls for open borders, insisting on the right of sovereign states to control their own borders.

Government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs responded sharply to a Bloomberg op-ed by Andreas Kluth Tuesday, which called Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán a “saboteur” of European Union (E.U.) immigration reform who had failed to open his nation’s borders to waves of migrants in 2015.

“Perhaps ‘journalism’ like this is to blame for the tragedy at the Moria camp,” Mr. Kovacs responded on Twitter. “Reporting that it’s wrong to require migrants to request asylum in first safe state, claiming PM Orbán ‘blocked’ refugees, pushing the ‘open borders’ position as if it were a human right. It’s not.”

In his September 11 essay, Mr. Kluth urges the E.U. to “strong-arm” leaders who resist, starting with Orbán, in order to “fix” its migration system, or risk a further series of humanitarian disasters like the recent fires in the Moria refugee camp on the Greek island of Lesbos. The E.U. “still makes most decisions by unanimity, and the usual suspects — always led by Orban and his copycats in the nationalist government of Poland, but also including states like Austria — block every step,” Kluth declared. “In effect, they’re sabotaging the E.U.”

Hungary has stood out for its defense of national sovereignty in opposition to E.U. efforts to coerce member states into taking a certain “quota” of migrants independent of the wishes of their citizens.

In 2016, Mr. Orbán said that the E.U. was “destroying” the continent by forcing member states to accept quotas of mass Muslim immigration, which creates segregated societies and parallel legal systems.

“The uncontrolled influx destroys Europe and it doesn’t even help the migrants. It’s better for everyone to stay in their own territory,” he insisted.“We are not here to solve the migration problem, but a historical one. We, Europeans, Hungarians, Christians, have to describe our attitude towards immigration,” he said.

In his speech, Orbán criticized leaders like German Chancellor Angela Merkel for encouraging more than a million people to come from the Middle East during 2015.

Allowing this idea to rule “will destroy Europe, and its culture and economic system too,” he said. “And we don’t help those who left their home countries. And those who stay are also losing with this attitude.”

“I don’t even want to think about the integration of Muslim people in Europe. The most we could hope for is a peaceful life next to each other, which is called a parallel society,” he added……

Hungary is right. Each member in the EU is still a sovereign state…unless they signed that right away. The EU…was put together for one reason…the start of a world government.

          To my Jewish friends,

David P. Goldman, aka Spengler, tested the proposition of whether he could walk across one of those Visegrad capitals (I believe he spoke of Budapest) wearing Jewish religious garb and do so without being harassed or bothered in any way. Indeed, when he or his acquaintances tried it, they were not disturbed or treated rudely or bothered by anyone. He pointed out that, by contrast, Jews in France and other parts of Western Europe are frequently advised NOT to wear any religious garb, because the risk of violence to Jews is too high.

So who is right about Islamic migration and immigration then? The EU and the Western European states, which are seeing an exodus of Jews because of the growth of Islamic populations and the notorious anti-Semitism that comes with those Islamic populations? I’d say most of Western European leadership is wrong, and Victor Orban is right.

Why doesn’t Western European leadership care about the fact that Jews are leaving Europe? Probably because Muslims now constitute a larger voting block thanks to Frau Merkel.

Western European states are increasingly political slaves to an alliance between the Left and Islam. (Islam will of course eventually destroy the Left, when the Left is no longer useful — as Khomeini did to the Left after it had helped bring him to power in Iran.)

Is it really unreasonable to ask that at least a part of Europe (the Visegrad states) remain relatively free of Islamic immigration, just in case the Western European experiment (endless Islamic influx) turns out in a generation or two to be the death of freedom in Western Europe? Wouldn’t it then be a good thing to have a few still-surviving free states to which Christian refugees could escape, and from which a new Reconquista might go forth?

Maybe, there is something else going on in terms of Western Europe becoming more hostile to the Jewish people?

According to the Jewish Virtual Library, France has the 3rd largest Jewish population in the world, 450,000 or 3.1% of the Jewish world population, Israel is 1st with the United States 2nd.

          https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jewish-population-of-the-world

Is it possible, that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is calling His people back to the land of Israel, and this increase in the hostility towards the Jewish people is His way of prodding them to move? Human nature being what it is, change is sometimes difficult to make, especially, moving to another country.

I agree with the other comments that the Visegrad bloc countries are on the right track when it comes to islam. They are realistic in their assessment of the neverending trouble Muslims will bring to any country dumb enough to let this enemy in, and are shutting the door on Muslims. I wonder if Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia might all leave the EU. With the UK already gone, that might start an avalanche of other European countries who tell the EU to piss off. I think that would be a good thing.

At the current time, these Visegrad Group countries are receiving a large economic trade, etc., benefit by remaining in the EU – without being saddled with muslim migrants.

That being said, I believe that they would leave the EU before being forced to accept migrants that they did not want – and would find new economic opportunities…

          gravenimage,

Thank you for pointing out my poorly worded comment… above at 8:55 PM.

          As Winston Churchill once said:

“Personally, I’m always ready to learn, although I do not like always to be taught.”
          – Winston Churchill (1874-1965)

This is the thought I was trying to express… nothing happens that God does not allow to happen; we see that in the book of Job.

Did God “want” bad things to happen to Job? No. Did God allow bad things to happen to Job? Yes.

Note: Satan had to ask for God’s permission to test Job, without God’s permission, Satan was powerless.

Did God limit what Satan was allowed to do to Job? Yes. Did Job ever curse God or believe that God had completely abandoned him? No.

Did Job’s wife and friends have an opinion that was contrary to God’s plan for Job? Yes

Did Job’s wife and friends help or hinder Job in his affliction? They hindered him.

Did God reward Job’s faithfulness by healing him and restoring everything that had been taken from him? Yes.

Did God ever answer Job’s “why” question? No.

The book of Job consists of 42 Chapters. In Chapter 19, just before the halfway point of Job’s affliction, Job says:

For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and at the last he will stand upon the earth.
And after my skin has been thus destroyed,
yet in my flesh I shall see God,
whom I shall see for myself,
and my eyes shall behold, and not another.
          My heart faints within me!
          Job 19:25-27

          That is amazing!

The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. In this passage, Job seems to be alluding to passages in the New Testament like… Romans 8:28, Matthew 10:28 and Revelation 21:1-3.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
          Romans 8:28

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”
          Matthew 10:28

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
          Revelation 21:1-3

It isn’t that God “wants” the Jewish people to be harmed as much as he “allows” it to happen for a greater good.

As horrible as the holocaust was for the Jewish people, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was preparing His people, strengthening them, filling them with a resolve, “never again.”

And, at the same time, God was paving the way for the Nation of Israel to come into existence. Something that may not have happened or been delayed indefinitely, if not for the horror of the holocaust.

Today, Israel’s Military is one of the most powerful in the world and Israel one of the most productive Nations in the world.

The Visegrád Group, Visegrád Four, or V4, is a cultural and political alliance of four countries of Central Europe (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia), to advance co-operation in military, cultural, economic and energy matters with one another and to further their integration to the EU.

      Dave from San Antonio,

I agree, the EU is a stepping stone toward a One World Government. It’s being done, incrementally, gradually conditioning the people to accept more and more government and less and less freedom. Kinda, like the frog in the pot.

As for each nation that joined the EU maintaining their sovereignty, I’m not sure about that. The nation, or more accurately, the people in power at the time, MAY have signed away their independence when they agreed to become part of the EU.

I’m sure someone here at JW can shed further light on the issue.

The EU is an organization similar to the US’s Article of Confederation. It will fail. It is why we replaced the Articles of Confederation with the US Constitution. The countries in Europe need to recognize that their real freedoms are at stake since those in power are trying to enslave the people.

He is doing what is correct. Islam is not a religion, but is a hostile theocracy whose citizens are instructed to invaded and occupy countries, and then force people to worship the god Hubal. Remember, the Arabic word “allah” is a contraction of the Arabic phrase “al (the) ilah (god)”. It is used to reference the moon god Hubal. Mohammad started this war 1400 years ago when his lies about Hubal were rejected by just about everyone. Get a Qur’an and read it. Mohammad even allowed people to worship Hubal daughter goddesses for a while.

Orban is the greatest leader in Europe and perhaps the world. Of course all the media attack him constantly (like they do Trump). The cultural revolution has gone further in Europe than in the US. Anybody who displays a basic, expected loyalty to their own country is considered a N*zi. The purpose of the EU is to destroy the nations of Europe.

Hungary is not alone. Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia have also expressed a desire to protect their own people which is exactly what a government should be doing. The governments in western Europe have betrayed their own people and truly deserve justice with extreme prejudice.

The Vishigrad 4 did not escape from the tyranny of the USSR just to become slaves to the EU.

The EU wants “open borders.” Actually that means “NO borders.” An open border is not a border.

The EU was created for the purpose of eliminating the various member nations and to create a Super State, a United States of Europe. It has gone a long way towards eliminating national identities.

It mandates the EU flag be flown alongside national flags. It makes laws that override national laws. It reduces the national symbol on auto registration plates to a small flag, or two letter country code.

Sadly, a once-great country that was known for its fierce national pride, France, has lost most of that and is now promoting the EU.

It’s great to see that at least one country, Hungary, wants to preserve its national pride.
