Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

One-third of Egyptians see Turkey as the world’s leading Muslim country, many are willing to fight for it

Sep 2, 2020 12:00 pm By Christine Douglass-Williams

As Turkey expands its footprint across the Arab world, using force more than diplomacy, many Muslims in Egypt — the country that gave birth to the Muslim Brotherhood — see Turkey as the leading Muslim country, and they are willing to fight for it.

Undoubtedly Turkey has become today’s Islamic supremacist strongman, newly emboldened especially after the “conquest” of Hagia Sophia, while Saudi Arabia — formerly considered the leader in the Sunni world — has softened its rigid stance on how Islam is practiced. The Saudis have also cultivated an alliance (albeit one of mutual convenience) with Israel.

According to a survey by the research firm Areda, carried out with the participation of 1,047 people in Egypt from Aug. 20-27, 31.4% of Egyptians said they consider Turkey a leading country in the Muslim world alongside Egypt, while 10.4% said Saudi Arabia, 6.2% chose the United Arab Emirates (UAE), 1.6% said Qatar, 1% said Pakistan and 0.5% said Iran. Another 9.7% said “other” and 39.2% said “none.”

Recently, Turkey’s President Erdogan declared that an agreement between Egypt and Greece was null and void as he continues to flex his muscles in his quest for global power. The Greek parliament had approved a maritime accord with Egypt, merely hours after Turkey announced that it was conducting live naval drills in the Mediterranean.

“1/3 of Egyptians see Turkey as leading Muslim country, survey finds,” Daily Sabah, August 31, 2020:

Citizens of Egypt consider Turkey a leading country in the Muslim world, and a significant number of Egyptians have said they would fight for Turkey, despite President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi regime’s ongoing propaganda campaign, recent research shows.

In response to a question about if they would fight for Turkey in times of war, 15.3% of the participants said “yes.”

The respondents also expressed dissatisfaction about the administration of the country, as 41.6% said they are not pleased with it and 18.4% said they were undecided.

A whopping 48.5% said they would not vote for el-Sissi if elections were held in the country, while 35% said they would vote for him and 16.5% said they were undecided.

Meanwhile, in response to a question about whether Egyptian authorities were making independent decisions without being affected by other countries, 48.6% said “no,” 41.4% said “yes” and 10% said they had no idea.

The relations between Turkey and Egypt deteriorated after el-Sissi toppled the country’s first democratically elected president, Mohammed Morsi, in a coup after only a year in office.

The military then crushed the Muslim Brotherhood movement in a major crackdown, arresting Morsi and many of the group’s leaders, who have been in prison undergoing multiple trials ever since the coup….

The Muslim Brotherhood is closer to what the majority of Egyptians truly want for their country compared to Al-Sisi’s vision, and thus the more traditional and militant Islam of places like Iran and increasingly, Turkey. This is an existential threat to Israel, as the Islamic world would find it difficult to conquer Israel without Egypt’s geography and manpower in play. Complicating matters is the Ethiopian dam on the Nile river project, which would reduce river water to Egypt and Sudan, and both countries have indicated they’d go to war with Ethiopia over it.

The Nile issue will be resolved amicably .

Seems that Ismail Ali considers Jihad terror attacks on this dam “amicable”…

Note: “and 39.2% said “none.” For many years, before engaging in senseless, embarrassing losses to their little neighbors, often egged on by the Soviets, Egypt was probably seen as the leading muslim country in the middle east, if not the world. In other words, it appears to me that many Egyptians still see their country as a great power in the muslim world.

In reality, I suspect that Turkey is truly a more modernized and educated country than Egypt based upon my experiences. It is a shame that these two nations are being driven into the ground by clueless and corrupt despots. There is no love between the two, and I suspect that any egyptians that desire to go serve the turks will soon find they are not welcomed with open arms, flowers, and hospitality. Those willing to go next door into libya and be cannon fodder, will be duly praised after they are expended in a foolish attempt to recreate the old and not missed Ottoman Empire.

Something else to ponder from my earlier comment on geopolitics; Egypt and Sudan could go to war with Ethiopia over the damming of the Nile which would reduce the water flow they get, well, what country has a force in Somalia, which could also enter any future conflict with Ethiopia? Turkey…

Why do many muslims see Turkey as the leading muslim country ? Because in their eyes Turkey is standing it’s ground without asking permission to infidels , like with the conversion of the Hagia Sofia , that is seen as strenght and what muslim understand best ist taking by force and rioting and doing everything they can so that Islam is to dominate and not be dominate . When are westerner going to show some strenght and say ; Enough is enough .

I hope we have cut off weapons sales to Turkey. Erdogan is the modern version of Hitler and is following the same plan to achieve his ideology of world dominance.
