These accords are based on pragmatic considerations, ignoring the Islamic imperative of jihad and its deeply ingrained anti-Semitism. As I have noted many, many times, what Islam teaches is one thing, and what any individual Muslim or Muslim group may do is quite another. In this case, the UAE and Bahrain have demonstrated that their priorities are not to foster the growth of the jihad against Israel, and that’s all to the good. President Trump is to be commended for refusing to follow the advice of foreign policy “experts” who have failed again and again, and to strike out in a new direction. That’s a primary reason why the political elites hate him so much.
“Trump declares ‘dawn of a new Middle East’ as he presides over signing of historic deals,” by Adam Shaw, Fox News, September 15, 2020:
President Trump on Tuesday declared the “dawn of a new Middle East” as he presided over the signing of two historic Middle East diplomatic deals between Israel and two Gulf nations.
“We’re here this afternoon to change the course of history. After decades of division and conflict we mark the dawn of a new Middle East,” he said at the ceremony in the South Lawn of the White House.
“Thanks to the great courage of the leaders of these three countries, we take a major stride toward a future in which people of all faiths and backgrounds live together in peace and prosperity,” he said.
The deals, known as the “Abraham Accords,” involve the exchanging of ambassadors, establishment of embassies and co-operation on a range of fronts, including trade, security and tourism. The deals also allow Muslims to visit Islamic holy sites in Israel. Trump said the deals would form “the foundation for a comphrensive [sic] peace across the entire region.”
Earlier in the Oval Office, Trump said “we’re very far down the road with about five additional countries.” He declined to name the countries he is speaking with and later said it could be “five or six” other countries.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will sign the deals, which mark the normalization of relations, with the foreign ministers of both the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. The UAE deal was announced last month, with the Bahrain deal announced on Friday. They have been dubbed the “Abraham Accords.”…
While critics have noted that such deals ignore Palestinians and the Israel-Palestinian conflict, it is hoped that the deals would be the start of warmer Arab-Israeli relations.
Trump told “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday morning that other countries “want to come in” and that he believes the Palestinians will eventually come in too.
“You’re going to have peace in the Middle East,” Trump said, adding that countries including Iran were “actually getting to a point where they’re going to want to make a deal. They won’t say that outwardly. They want to make a deal.”
Israel, Bahrain and the UAE are expected to sign a trilateral document, in addition to the bilateral agreements. Trump is expected to sign on as a witness….

Trump hails ‘dawn of a new Middle East’ as he presides over signing of UAE and Bahrain accords…
Consistent with his “Make America Great” good will, Trump is doing his best to improve international relations among enemies. The man the left calls a Nazi and a murderer is staying the course, acting like a good president should; the man the left calls a bigot and racist continues to garner support in the international scene with 2 Nobel prize nominations.
The world needs a neutralizing force like Trump in the Middle East, someone who places a higher regard on good action over the opinions of those who hate him unjustly. By and large I think the man has done a good job, not perfect, but good. I’m convinced he loves his country and that his patriotism could have done so much more if not for the crippling hatred of his jealous political opponents. As an amusing aside, there’s a reputable psychic-medium on YT that says that the divine aided the election of Trump for the purpose of protecting America. And that resonates with me. Nobody showed more determination than Trump to speak the unbridled truth about our nation’s enemies than him. In this forum that means islam and the terrorists it creates against us. Here’s some of Trump’s quotes concerning dangerous islam:
“Absolutely. I mean, I don’t notice Swedish people knocking down the World Trade Center. There is a Muslim problem in the world, and you know it and I know it.”
“NYC’s top cop acted wisely and legally to monitor activities of some in the Muslim community. Vigilance keeps us safe.”
…the Quran “teaches some very negative vibe … when you look at people blowing up in the street in some countries in the Middle East … when you look at 250 people who die in a supermarket while shopping …. there’s a lot of hatred there someplace.”
“Muslims can come in but other people can’t; Christians can’t come into this country but Muslims can. Something has got to be coming down from the top… the Muslims aren’t in danger but the Christians are.”
When asked if he’d consider closing mosques, Trump said: “I would hate to do it, but it’s something that you’re going to have to strongly consider because some of the ideas and some of the hatred — the absolute hatred — is coming from these areas.”
Trump campaign statement: “Politicians can pretend it’s something else, but Donald Trump calls it Radical Islamic Terrorism. That’s why he’s calling for a temporary shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until we can figure out what is going on.”
Our president knows the threat of islam. And I truly believe that’s the primary reason he was elected, because he was honest and frank in his assessment of that threat. The American people are tired of the lies, the white shaming, and the excuses for a violent ideology called islam. They want to feel proud of their nation, at least true patriots do. And I’m one of them, I’m not ashamed of my country, we’ve worked too hard for what we’ve got. And so have the millions of our military and police, who do an incredible job of maintaining peace and order in our growing turbulent times. God bless them, from an atheist.

Trump goes back on his word all the time.
No, he doesn’t. He’s just correcting an earlier mistake. 🙂
If he “hates” to do it that shows he’s sensitive to the difficulty of the situation. I’m sure he would love to extend religious protection to islam, but the violence it teaches and provokes puts him over a barrel. He has no choice but to go against the oft repeated lie that islam is a religion of peace, despite the potential for a violent response by muslims. These are the words of a cautious and wise president who carefully measures his options. Which means he ain’t quite the liar you seem to suggest he is.
Instead of attacking the foibles of our president, maybe you could focus on the greater good he is trying to achieve, for our security and our national pride. Just a suggestion.

Very well said! And I voted for him primarily because of Islam and what I know about it that ive learned primarily from Robert Spencer. Remember back in 2016 Hillary promised to bring in Islamic Migrants like they’ve done in Europe. She also said that the leader she would like to emulate most was Merkel. That’s when I knew that I had to vote against her but I ended up voting FOR Trump and I’ve been very pleased – as long as I ignore the tweets!

Right, I think most sensible patriots saw the dangers of Hillary–the lying, conniving, Marxist dangers of Hillary. Here’s a quote I found by politician Dick Armey,
Hillary Clinton bothers me a lot. I realized the other day that her thoughts sound a lot like Karl Marx. She hangs around a lot of Marxists. All her friends are Marxists.
She’d trade our Bill of Rights to muslims for a free hijab if she could. Her husband would do it for a free bi-jab! lol She’s your typical leftist-liar-appeaser for islam.

I think President Trump is doing a great job but I am curious as to how radical Islamic terrorism differs from Islamic terrorism.
A representative of the UAE, and I confess that I didn’t catch who he was, said on Fox News yesterday that the UAE had been attempting to normalize relations with Israel during the Obama administration but couldn’t get any cooperation from the Obama administration. I thought it was a devastating indictment of Obama. I have the statement on video tape and will provide clarity after I’ve done my chores.
Perhaps someone can provide a link to a video clip. The Trump campaign is very effective and I will be surprised if they aren’t going to use that statement in the campaign.

I can’t believe Trump gave this man the so called crown prince of Abu Dhabi a podium to speak. The inbred, heathen? Has anyone looked at his country lately?

I would never let down my guard. There are reasons these guys are doing so much good that are not really because they are so good, I am afraid—Turkey/Iran/Qatar (MB)/Hamas/Hezbollah/Houthi. At least it is going in better direction for sure and maybe all the negatives will work to make things more positive…but I would never let down my guard. And leaders do not mean the masses of people. It is something to celebrate anyway.

And the fat cats from the President down will be eager to sell rusting arms to the desert, and the desert will be eager to buy them since they have no other way to arm themselves – knives and stones can no longer conquer the world.
They need only put up with the shame of false friendship and treaties for a while. Then pounce when they’ve got what they need !
This reminds me of ISIS arming themselves with American weapons abandoned by the Iraqi troops as they ran away before the battle began. And how Boko Haram was armed by stealing weapons America left in Libya.
This is likely just another ploy to get planes, tanks, ammo, missiles, and maybe even nukes (yes, since we are just that dumb).

It would be great if the Middle East was to find peace. I don’t trust the islamic leaders to hold up their end of the bargain once they get what they want.
The selling of American made military arms to these countries is like pouring gas on a fire.
The response from politicians is that if we don’t sell them Russia or China will.
You can’t stop the fighting by supplying weapons to these countries. These are warrior states that believe in attacking the weak.
Daniel Triplett says
I watched Trump phone-in a 47-minute interview on Fox and Friends yesterday. Here’s the part where they’re talking about selling weapons to Gulf states:
Kilmeade: “Are we at the point where you’d be willing to sell to these other countries the same weapons that you sell to Israel?”
Trump: “They’re very wealthy countries for the most part, like the UAE, and they would like to buy the fighter jets. I personally would have no problem with it. Some people do; they say maybe they go to war. We have, uh, you know, selling our stuff is good for our country, in one way.”
Kilmeade: “Israel gets upset.”
Trump: “You know what I’ve learned about military equipment? You sell it today and it’s obsolete tomorrow. All of a sudden you’ll say, you know what, we have a new plane, a new and better plane. No, I would have no, I know the leader very well, Muhammed, I would have no problem selling them the F-35. I would have absolutely no problem. I view it as an asset, not a liability. Plus, it’s tremendous jobs at home. You’re talking about a large number of planes.”
From the look on Kilmeade’s face, he was obviously disturbed by Trump’s statement. It disturbs me too. It’s as if he has no concerns or caution at all for the strategic ramifications of arming Islamic states with our best military technology, or the Islamic ideology motivating Muslims, or how this would affect Israel or the Qualitative Military Edge. He didn’t even mention Israel in his answer, nor acknowledge that Netanyahu objects to F-35 sales to Islamic states.
I’m Republican and I love and support Trump. I voted for him in both primaries and the 2016 General, and I’ll vote for him again on 3 November. But to me and others, and especially to Israel, his attitude about these weapons sales is disquieting. He highlights the financial incentives and jobs for the US and says nothing about the strategic balance of military power and how this will affect Israel or us into the future.
I too was especially turned on to him in 2015 with his rhetoric about Islam/Muslims. But I see little evidence anymore that he’s tuned into Islam or has any suspicions about Muslims, other than the “Travel Ban,” which includes a handful of OIC states.
During the whole signing ceremony yesterday (I watched the whole thing), I don’t think I heard the word “Islam” spoken once. They even called the whole agreement, “The Abraham Accord,” because “Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worship the same God.” Which as a Christian I find offensive and out of touch.
Has anyone in the West Wing read the Koran and Sunna? If not, why not? Shouldn’t this be mandatory reading for Jared Kushner and anyone else making Middle-East policy? How hard would it be for the president to order a 30-agent task force of Intel/FBI/NSA/DoD et al Kafirs to spend a month investigating the doctrine then brief him up, and make the findings public?
What bothers me about this whole “peace agreement” is no one is speaking about the true source of enmity toward the Jews. At most, they’re pretending it’s about the Jewish state or Palestine, and ignoring the fact that this hatred and mortal hostility goes back 1400 years and is a divine mandate from their deity and prophet.
I just don’t see what’s wrong with being publicly honest about the whole thing. And before Israel concedes sovereign territory and we arm up Islamic states with our very best military assets, why can’t we put these Islamic leaders on the spot, and ask them specifically about this hostile doctrine? Do they have fealty to it? Do they condemn it, and if so, are they saying Allah and Muhammad are liars about the Jews, and wrong in ordering their forced conversion, enslavement, or death?
To me, this peace agreement has the feel of extortion payments paid to Mafia goons. “You give us sovereign land concessions and your best weapons, and in return we won’t hurt you.”
Their demand for the fighter jets especially seems disingenuous and speaks to their true motivations. And everyone knows that without the US and Israel, most of the Sunni Gulf rulers would be crushed in a war with Iran.
Seems to me that Israel is giving up an awful lot for something that should’ve been a given in the first place: Peace. This circles back to the real issue here – the sacrosanct and immutable Islamic doctrine compelling jihad against all mankind. Let’s cut the superficial BS and speak openly and honestly with these people.
But I don’t want to be a “Danny Downer” here and throw shade on Trump’s achievements with peace in that hostile region. He deserves credit. De-escalating hostile Arab posture toward Israel is a good thing.
I doubt though that interacting and working with Israelis will now change Arab Muslims’ perspective on Jews. Muslims living with Kafirs in Europe hasn’t changed their perspective of Kafirs either — “They are the worst of creatures.” K 98:1
