Where are all the learned mainstream analysts who confidently told us that secular Turkey was the wave of the future in the Islamic world, and that other Muslim countries would emulate it?
“Turkish Government Music Video Presents Turkish Military, Erdoğan As Heir To Ottoman, Seljuk Dynasties, Portrays Turkish Conquerors Praying In Hagia Sophia Mosque,” MEMRI, August 24, 2020:
On August 24, 2020, in honor of the 949th anniversary on August 26 of the 1071 Battle of Manzikert, Turkey’s Ministry of Communication released a music video titled the “Red Apple March.” Seeking to present the modern Turkish military as the heir to the militaries of Turkish states stretching back 1,000 years, including the Ottoman empire and the Seljuks, the clip cuts between images of the Turkish military, including special forces, tanks, fighter jets, attack helicopters, rockets, naval vessels, and images of men in Ottoman and Seljuk military garb. The video also shows the Turkish drill ships Fatih and Oruç Reis, which have recently been drilling and searching for natural gas in the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea.
One section of the video features footage of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan walking past a row of soldiers, cut with footage of an actor portraying an Ottoman sultan doing the same. As an Ottoman military band plays outside, the actor, along with others portraying Sultan Alparslan, who led the Seljuk army to victory at the Battle of Manzikert, Osman I, founder of the Ottoman Empire, and a child soldier from the Battle of Gallipoli, enter the Hagia Sophia Mosque and pray as audio of President Erdoğan reciting the opening verses of Surah Al-Fath (“Conquest”) plays in the background. The video shows Islamic structures including the Kaaba in Mecca, and closes showing the Al-Aqsa mosque and the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.
The music features the zurna, a wind instrument central in the traditional Ottoman military band, giving the music a distinctly “Ottoman” sound. The lyrics mix religious and nationalistic imagery and refer to the Kızıl Elma (“Red Apple”), a concept from Turkish mythology that has sometimes has been used to refer to world domination and at other times has referred to a particular military goal by a Turkish state and, once that goal has been achieved, some other goal becomes the “Red Apple,” making it ever-elusive.
Upon the release of the video, Communications Minister Fahrettin Altun tweeted: “For us, the Red Apple is a great and powerful Turkey. It is the blessed march of our nation, which has written legends from Manzikert to July 15, [2016, i.e., the attempted coup in Turkey]. The Red Apple is the great sycamore tree in the shade of which many oppressed [peoples] cool themselves. It is what all people from Gibraltar to the Hijaz, from the Balkans to Asia, await wishfully.”
Lyrics: “The goal of the Red Apple will be reached only with the lives [lost] on the way. The promised divine light and truth will certainly dominate forever. Only with the conquest of the Red Apple will the world find tranquility and peace. We are coming, oh glorious red flag, with the love of every corner and township of the homeland.
“May the sounds of ‘Allah Akbar’ rise to the ninth heaven. Shielding is the Turk’s military life, the honor and dignity of our heroic land. May the sound of ‘Allah Akbar’ rise to the ninth heaven. Allah! Allah! We will not turn back! Strike so that the tyrant wails, may the seven worlds hear our sound of freedom. My glorious Turkey, we are connected at the heart to the red flag and the dear homeland. Those crazy Turks, for the sake of the crescent, will give their heads anywhere in the world. Come, my Turkey, for the love of Allah. Put another stamp on history. O great nation, on behalf of the homeland, [you’ve come] to inspire the generations again.
“This blood is Sultan Alparslan, who reared up at Manzikert, Osman I, at the founding. The Sultan of the world, who was given good news of conquests and the child heroes at Gallipoli. This same blood comes from the ancestors. It is writing legends again in resurgence. The world is waiting for ‘There is no god but Allah.’ The destination is the Red Apple, we will not despair. Like Alparslan who reared up at Manzikert, like our ancestors, who wrote history with victories, like our grandfather, who closed one age and opened another, our goal is the Red Apple. Forward march!”
President Erdogan: “[The Quran says:] ‘Indeed, We have given you a clear conquest… And Allah may grant you a mighty victory.'”

Hint hint.

Some hint. It’s a blatant piece of supremacist propaganda. But no other Islamic country will go for it, because the hatred directed by other Muslims towards Turkey is almost as much as the hatred they direct towards the dirty kufaar.
I don’t know of any non-Turkish Muslims who want Turkey to rule over the Muslim nations again.
Erdogan needs a strict regimen of strong anti-psychotic medication starting immediately. If the Turks don’t reject Erdogan, he will lead them like a pied piper into catastrophe.

“I don’t know of any non-Turkish Muslims who want Turkey to rule over the Muslim nations again.”
Then you haven’t met any Pakistanis, Somalis or even Algerians, Bosniaks (and a few others). In fact Erdogan’s pan-islamic overtures aren’t as big of a failure as you might think (though they haven’t been as big of a success as Erdogan likes to pretend)
Boycott Turkey says
Your right I know Turkey has become very close with Pakistan lately and been vocal over Kashmir lots of anti Hindu propaganda on TRT as well as anti Greek
SAFI says
@Boycott Turkey it’s not just “lately” though, they’ve been close for many decades, look at how Pakistan votes at the UN for example or how Pakistan is the only state in the world which does not recognize Armenia (and officially denies the Armenian Genocide happened)
Westman says
“Those crazy Turks, for the sake of the crescent, will give their heads anywhere in the world..”
Hmmm. OK. Go for it and see what happens. This guy, Erdogan, isn’t a new Caliph, he is a new Hitler.

The Big Rock in the desert.
It overpowered all the little rocks, and became the only worshippable rock. There is no rock but the big rock, Allah.
Visit It at least once in your lifetime, as has been done for centuries, and as scriptures recommend.
Sylvia Drummond says
Silly old fool, if he thinks that the Turkish people who have enjoyed the western lifestyle are going to, willingly, abandon it he is wrong. The only way would be to force it on the people by military means and that will make him hated. It might take a while but remember the fate of Ceaucesco and Gadaffi, that is what awaits him.
David says
This video reminds me of the Nazi propaganda films of the 1930s. You can find a full list of them here:-
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nazi_propaganda_films#Before_the_War_(1933%E2%80%931939)
Just like the Nazi propaganda films, this video seeks to promote martial values, religiosity (Nazism had religious aspects with an interest in the occult and has been called a political religion), veneration of the country’s leader and a belief in the inevitability of the victory of the dominant religious/political cult of the country at the time – in this case Islam of course, whilst the Nazis promoted the idea of the thousand year Reich.
Truly, the parallels of this video with Nazi propaganda are frightening.
john smith says
Yes David, I also see the similarities, he has even stated that his modern Turkish army will be based on Hitler’s.
Keith O says
That’s right and an army that was built by the west with western arms.
Now there’s a recipe for disaster!
Keys says
Agree.
Erdogan blamed the coup on a Turkish businessman living in the USA, Fethullah Gülen. Gulen denied involvement and claimed the coup was a “self coup” orchestrated by Erdogan himself to consolidate his power. This all very similar to Hitler’s Reichstag fire after he took office.
Need a new Presidential Palace ? “On 10 July 2015, the Turkish Council of State found that the construction of the palace violated the law and ordered it to be vacated.” No problem ! A year later bomb the current palace and remove doubt that a new one is needed.
“During the coup [July 2016] over 300 people were killed[40] and more than 2,100 were injured. Many government buildings, including the Turkish Parliament and the Presidential Palace, were bombed from the air. Mass arrests followed, with at least 40,000 detained including at least 10,000 soldiers and, for reasons that remain unclear, 2,745 judges. 15,000 education staff were also suspended and the licenses of 21,000 teachers working at private institutions were revoked after the government stated they were loyal to Gülen. More than 77,000 people have been arrested and over 160,000 fired from their jobs, on reports of connections to Gülen.” – Wikipedia (documentation cited there).
Boycott Turkey says
Wow 10,000 soldiers well he don’t need them anymore his got Isis FSA hamas fighters now I’m sure they can do a better job ?
SAFI says
Although I like calling him Erdolf to be honest Erdogan strikes me a little more as a Mussolini kind of guy than a Hitler. Though to be fair Benito wasn’t so big on the antisemitism as Recep/Erdolf
FYI says
Maybe he is a bit of both:
Erdolfini.
{I see on the video posted below by Boycott Turkey that Erdolfini got kicked by a horse.The great dictator thrown from a horse who then kicks him in the cojones.How embarrasing for a ‘strongman’ to be shown up by a horse:obviously he couldn’t control it}
Boycott Turkey says
Lol FYI that’s why it’s funny all those Great ottoman warrior jihadist riding on a horse and Erdogan gets thrown off one like the piece of trash he is I heard he never got back on a horse after this for 5 years I think ? I wonder if that horse is still alive
The Istanbulian says
He’s been Assadogan since 2013

Erdogan is an effective & efficient leader. A socio-democrat with religious conscience. The verdict of history shall be in his favour 100%
gravenimage says
I see that Noor here considers Muslims threatening their neighbors with violence to be “effective & efficient”, and believes that conquering and murdering Infidels is indicative of a “religious conscience”.
In other words, Noor is an orthodox Muslim.
James Lincoln says
Exactly, gravenimage.
Boycott Turkey says
Erdogan is as efficient as leading a country as he is riding a horse

Yep:

Lol i just noticed the horse that threw Erdogan of its back looks like the same horse in the Turkish propaganda video that mehmet the savage is riding

“There is no god ‘allah’!That’s just muhammed’s sock puppet. And muhammed we know was a false prophet”
{muhammed even said he was a false prophet{al tabari 6:111} and when he died his famous ‘my AORTA is cut ‘ statement{Sahih Bukhari 4428}could only come from someone who,according to the koran{69:43-46},suspected he was …a false prophet}
muhammed{APBQUh,Actual prophecy be quiet unknown to him} was certainly a Warlord so encouraging the following of his sunnah is ideal for someone like Erdolf as a means to inspire the gullible.A political tyrant appealing to emotion using an ideology{religious in this case} as a means to motivate the masses.
Sort of like hitler did.
Mark Spahn (West Seneca, NY) says
The lyrics say, “May the sounds of ‘Allah Akbar’ rise to the ninth heaven. … [M]ay the seven worlds hear our sound of freedom.”
What are these nine heavens and seven worlds? Do they each have a name? Are they referred to in Islamic scripture?
Ade Fegan says
Well maybe there is no God but Allah
But one thing’s for sure …. muhammad sure ain’t his prophet
Wellington says
I wonder what percentage of Turks would like to see Erdogan gone. I’m not really sure. Anyone care to opine?
SAFI says
I’d say probably a very big percentage of those who are in jail or hiding in exile would be happy to see him not just gone but hanged from his neck. A big percentage among the Kurds as well. Overall I’m not so sure though. And even if he falls from power chances are that Erdogan’s successor will also come from Erdogan’s party. Even if not, I doubt Turkey would follow a drastically different course than the one Erdogan has put it on.
James Lincoln says
So is the North Atlantic Council talking about expelling Turkey from NATO?
If not, why not?
Wellington says

Damn good question, James.

Many experts on biblical prophecy are coming to the same conclusion, and that is according to scripture, there will be a revival of a Neo Ottoman Empire.
Walid Shoebat made this prediction decades ago when Turkey was a secular country. As he was born and brought up in the middle east he reads into scripture through eyes of someone, only from that part of the world can.
Make no mistake about it, Erdogan is an extremely dangerous man, he shown what he is capable of when he shot that Russian plane down a few years ago. He has also stated that he intends to have his Ottoman Empire revived by the year 2023.
If he is not the Biblical antichrist, he is certainly paving the way for him.
Mafya says
We’ve been abandoned by all earthly governments. Because the world hates us. Only the God can save us. Thus we take refuge in the God and we will protect ourselves and our loved ones from the Ottoman Satanate evils. We may be living in the end times. Most of what I see is horrible. But the false prophet Muhammad and the monster Erdogan will be the ones who will lose forever, not those who refuse to obey them. We still haven’t lost our hope !
Tony Naim says
No mythology concerning the “Red Apple”. What is meant by the Red Apple is Rome/ Vatican, the last center of Christendom left not conquered by Islam. The other 4 centers being Alexandria, Jerusalem, Antioch and Constantinople.
All 4 fallen, subdued by Islam.
Turks and Persians are on a war path For Islam.
gravenimage says
That’s what I thought, Tony.
I know Muslims often throw in London, Paris, and New York these days, as well.
gravenimage says
Turkey: Government music video hails Ottoman caliphate, says “The world is waiting for ‘There is no god but Allah’”
………………….
If by “waiting for it” they mean welcoming it, they have another thing coming.
And I’m sure the “Red Apple” in this case means the whole of the civilized West. Keep dreaming, morons.
