Video: Robert Spencer responds to Shabir Ally, with Sam Shamoun
……………….
Sam Shamoun is great. He often works with David Wood.
mortimersays
Shamoun has total recall of relevant Islamic passages from hadiths, Koran and commentaries (tafsirs). He is justifiably known as ‘THE ASSYRIAN ENCYCLOPEDIA’. He is a remarkable analyst of the moral, theological and factual errors within the Islamic source texts which show it is a manmade collection of absurdities composed under the commands of the early caliphs.

Yes Mortimer–very impressive.

I have heard David Wood refer to Sam as the Assyrian Encyclopedia because Sam knows so much of the Islamic sources by heart. Sam also has total recall of a lot of the Bible.
David Wood’s latest video at acts17apologetics on YT is about a muslim apologist called menj{or is it minge?} who was arrested for child pornography{what are the odds?} who called David Wood a goat for eating the koran,to which David Wood replies he should write it as ‘The G.O.A.T'{acronym for the Greatest Of All Time}

David Wood has a way of brilliantly turning his Islamic adversaries’ own efforts against them.
Also, let us not forget that David Wood, Sam Shamoun, and Robert Spencer all starred in the series “Islamicize Me,” written by Wood and a few others. There are like 30 episodes or something, and the best one, I would say, is the one (or perhaps two) very funny episodes in which Robert Spencer appears. In those episodes David Wood’s brilliance as a creator really shines (I’m pretty sure Wood conceived most of the plot lines of those episodes), and Spencer as an actor manages to mesh in an inspired and entertaining way with Wood’s intentions.
These great Anti-Jihadists had a great time with this–Robert Spencer perhaps most of all!

“… you need to be praying for men like Robert, those who are on the front line… We need people like him to be supported for the glory of Christ.” Sam Shamoun.
Speaking as an atheist, I find that to be a wonderful sentiment by Shamoun. I was raised in a Christian home, so I know the goodness that religion has to offer. And the work Spencer does is good too and is wholly consistent with the message of Christ. Love thy neighbor does not mean lying to protect dangerous doctrines, as so many on the left do. True love is caring enough to speak the truth if it means defending life-saving morals and human rights. And that’s what Spencer and his fellow contributors do, they are working for the betterment of humanity where it really matters. They take the whip, they risk their lives more than anyone to shed the light of reason and morality on islam’s darkest practices and teachings. They are nudging people in the right direction with thoughtful truths that expose the jihad threat and bigotry in islam. There’s tangible proof that their work is changing lives in the form of personal testimonies, and we can reasonably infer the existence of many more we’ll never hear about. I’m just an average, rather paltry, student of life. But one thing I can say with the confidence of a genius is that the work JW does is consistent with the teachings of Christ, who was himself a champion of truth to the point of death. And no, I’m not putting Spencer or anyone else on the same level as Christ, only that the work they do is Christ-like in its desire to help others through education. Christians have every reason to be proud of the work Spencer and his cohorts do on our behalf, as should everyone one else.
‘A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others.’ —Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
And that’s what JW’s contributors do, they are creating light in a world of darkness for islam. and I find that to be perhaps the most commendable profession on earth.
Just some of my heroes for freedom and human rights:
~Robert Spencer
~Pamela Geller
~David Wood
~Geert Wilders
~Anne Marie Waters
~Jamie Glazov and Anni Cyrus
~Christine Douglass
~Hugh Fitzgerald
~Tommy Robinson
~Paul Weston
And also the many thousands who we’ll never hear about who have lost their lives or freedom by fighting the tyrannies of islam. Collectively they are like stars in the night sky that shed light on the evils of islam. They deserve the greatest respect for paying the ultimate price in defense of freedom.

Disagree. You are way above average in my book…
Agostino Armo Pellegrinisays
Thanks, that means a lot coming from you. 🙂 Totally undeserved, but nice anyway.
Incidentally, I’m amazed to hear people speak so admirably about islam. It’s as if they live in another universe and are totally oblivious to the mass murder and crimes that violent ideology has inspired. What makes it even more amazing is that the violence and bigotry is blatant in islam, explicitly stated as doctrinal truth to be followed. It’s not like this issue is stuck in some gray area of reasonable doubt. Islam’s doctrines and 1400 year history compel only one conclusion: it is a politically motivated religion that employs violence and deceit to achieve supremacist aims. It murders, it terrorizes, it subverts and destroys at the expense of our human rights and peace. This fact makes it the greatest enemy of western civilization in my opinion, even more than Communism.
I have been made victorious with terror,” said muhammad, the illiterate murdering warlord founder of islam.
…It is teachings like that in islam that, I believe, compel muslims to wage war and terrorize non-muslims, and it served them well in the past. And it still works even today, the left can’t bow low enough, grovel enough, or lie enough to protect islam. They call it a religion of peace, but in reality it’s a viperous concoction of murderous acts and supremacist ambitions covered in a thin veneer of religious niceties and false claims. It is time for humanity to bring ourselves up to date, morally and intellectually, and rid ourselves of islam’s bumptious quest for totalitarian control via terror and intimidation. Their ancient barbarities have no place in the modern world of supercomputers, space travel, and human rights for all. Human rights can only be a stillborn hope under islam and can never fully blossom under a system that is inherently skewed in favor of religious bigotry backed by murder. And if what I just said doesn’t make sense to someone then they deserve our greatest help and concern, for they are insane.

Fine posts, Agostino.
And I agree with James Lincoln–you are actually among the best commenters here. Always look forward to reading your contributions.
Agostino Armo Pellegrinisays
You guys have always been faithful supporters of JW, and we would all be worse off without your thoughtful and intelligent contributions. The fact that you and other JW fans are here says a lot about your quality of character and intellect as decent people. JW attracts intelligent and humanistic contributors (in addition to the occasional leftist troll) because it’s run by intelligent and humanistic people. I’m in good company when I’m in here, it feels like I’m with smart people who care about crimes and murder in the name of religion, namely islam. And considering the millions who have died and suffered for that creed, I’d say that’s an important issue worth caring about.

Thank you, Agostino. I agree with you re the general high level of commenters here. It is very impressive–of course the tone is set by Robert Spencer.
Re James White his dialogue with Yasir Qadhi took place because Qadhi did not have the confidence/skill to debate. In the mosque session he said to White that he and other Muslims don’t understand the Trinity and asked JW to explain it. So effectively White was able to witness to the largely Muslim audience. I also suspect that there was an unintended consequence of the dialogue in that it may have reinforced or indeed prompted the sheikh’s ‘crisis of knowledge’ re the perfect preservation of the Quran which White of course (correctly) demonstates is impossible even on Muslim terms since men, not the wahy inspired Messenger, compiled the Quran.
Mufti Abu Layth has a hysterical take on the Qadhi/Muhammad Hejab interview which led to this car crash. The IERA ‘Dawah Team’ are a disgrace-the opinion of both religious and atheist commentators. The young atheist ‘Cosmic Sceptic’ has a revealing video into the lies and actual fraud commited by Hejab and his crew. Ali Dawah recently threatened apostates with death, for spreading corruption in the land (only at the future hands of the emir of course) and that he would watch with satisfaction. I hope that JW could do more re IERA. It’s UK based but it’s typical of the not only mendacious but actively divisive and dangerous efforts of such organisations.
