Apparently no attempt was made to determine Sid Ahmed Ghlam’s views on jihad, unbelievers, and related issues. To have done so would have been “Islamophobic.”
“Sid Ahmed Ghlam, on trial for the murder of Aurélie Châtelain, has benefited from family reunification, a grant and housing assistance. He also gave Arabic lessons at the mosque (Update),” translated from “Sid Ahmed Ghlam, jugé pour le meurtre d’Aurélie Châtelain, a bénéficié du regroupement familial, d’une bourse et d’une aide au logement. Il donnait aussi des cours d’arabe à la mosquée (MàJ),” Fdescouche, October 10, 2020 (thanks to Mason):
Sid Ahmed Ghlam, the man behind the failed Villejuif bombing and the murder of Aurélie Châtelain in April 2015, had received various French state aids such as a scholarship, university accommodation and housing assistance.
(…)
But what more intrigued the court was his link with France. Indeed, he says it himself: “I had no difficulty living in French society”. And for good reason: he has repeatedly benefited from aid from the French state. Thus, he took advantage of family reunification, obtained a residence permit easily, and despite a failed university course, at the start of 2015, he still benefited from university accommodation, a monthly grant of 418 euros as well as accommodation of 199 euros.
(…) Every week, he returns to the family home and goes to the Saint-Dizier mosque, where he gives Arabic lessons. (…)
Accused of having prepared an attack in Villejuif in 2015, Sid-Ahmed Ghlam appears on Monday before the special assize court in Paris. The 28-year-old Algerian is also on trial for the murder of a young mother, Aurélie Châtelain. He has always denied having killed her.
It’s a telescoping that will take some getting used to. As the trial of the January attacks continues this week, another symbolic terrorist trial opens Monday in Paris before the special assize court. That of Sid-Ahmed Ghlam and his alleged accomplices. This 28-year-old Algerian is accused of having shot dead Aurélie Châtelain, a fitness teacher, on April 19, 2015 in Villejuif (Val-de-Marne), which he denies. He is mainly suspected of having wanted to commit a massacre that day in a church. The investigation established the very close ties he had maintained with senior officials of the Islamic State (IS) group.
Christopher Watson says
It’s interesting that Villejuif translates to ‘Jewtown’.

Not so surprising, Christopher–Muslims have taken over many traditionally Jewish areas, like Malmo in Sweden.

Now, tell me again. Why can’t these folks live where they were born?
Are we sure it’s not all a charade to roll the Trojan Horse into Europe?
Chrissie01 says
we are absolutely sure it is a charade to roll the Trojan horse in…
It worked the last time, didn’t it?

He was from ALGERIA, country where in 1991 the Islamic anti-human rights group FIS ( Front Islamique du Salut/ Islamic Front of Salvation ) WON the elections ( 54% of votes ):
It was Not Accepted by the Army,so began a 10 YEAR civil war, where FIS killed about 150,000 Algerians ( including intellectuals, writers, journalists, etc )
BOUALEM SANSAL
I don’t know if he is actually a Muslim, most probable he is,he is the Best Algerian Writer:
He wrote:
1.”Le village de l’Allemand ou le journal des frères Schiller” ( 2008 )(novel)
( The Village of the German or the Diary of the Schiller Brothers )
Two Algerian brothers discover their father had been a Nazi officer who fled to Algeria after the war, responsible for the deaths of many Jews.
Sansal compares the Nazis of WW II to Islamic Fundamentalists in Europe after the war.
2. Then there is: “2084:la fin du monde / 2084:the end of the world”
Instead of Orwell’s 1984 we go to the year 2084. There is an immense empire called ABISTAN ( land of Abi)
based on the teachings of a prophet called ABI, prophet of a god called YOLAH ( similar to ALLAH ).
It is a totalitarian, religious empire, with a LAW that says “INTERDIT de MECROIRE” ( Forbidden to UNBELIEVE).
The holy book is called GKABUL and there is total surveillance, and rewriting of history.

Brando, a lot of Nazis decamped to the Muslim world.

Yes,and the Most Influential was a German woman called SIGRID HUNKE,who lived in Morocco for 2 years and wrote:
“”Allah’s sun over the Occident” (1960),
which is like the origin of the Exaggerated Claims that Europe Owes the Renaissance to Muslims.

Yes, disgusting–I hadn’t thought about her for some time.
Jayell says
“I had no difficulty living in French society” says Ghlam, except it looks like he wasn’t actually living in French ‘society’ so much as just occupying a bit of French territory and taking quite a bit of French taxpayers’ money. He probably hasn’t yet noticed that the average French citizen doesn’t speak Arabic at all, let alone teach it, doesn’t go to a mosque, doesn’t go around committing massacres (let alone massacres in churches), and don’t make a habit of murdering their fellow citizens. But if he ever was having any problems with French society it wouldn’t have been for long because there wouldn’t be much ‘French society’ left after he’d made his contribution.

Spot on, Jayell.
