Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Egypt’s Sisi: Erdogan ‘now openly uses the Islamic factor,’ warns of ‘wave of terrorists in Greece in the future’

Oct 28, 2020 9:00 am By Christine Douglass-Williams 18 Comments

The warning from the Egyptian President should put the EU on alert to not tolerate jihadist expansion by Turkey, which is aiming to revive the Ottoman Empire. Back in 2016, Foreign Policy Magazine warned that “Turkey’s new Maps” were “reclaiming the Ottoman Empire” and that Erdogan’s “aggressive nationalism” was “spilling over Turkey’s borders, grabbing land in Greece and Iraq.” But the Turkish threat has been ignored for years. The EU has been aware for quite some time of the deep threat that Turkey poses not just to the region, but to global security. Nevertheless, it has continually bowed to Turkey, which has already opened the gates for illegal Muslim migrants to enter Europe. Turkey also consistently threatens to release more Muslim migrants to invade Greece and the EU.

Now Erdogan is using Syrian mujahideen and has virtually declared war on Greece. In July, Turkey accused Greece of showing “enmity towards Islam” because of its opposition to the conversion of Hagia Sophia to a mosque; in September, Turkish spy planes violated Greece airspace 45 times.

“Egyptian President’s Warning: Erdoğan uses Islam and a wave of terrorists could go to Greece,” by Paul Antonopoulos, Greek City Times, October 24, 2020:

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi warned his Greek and Cypriot counterparts that a wave of Turkish-backed jihadists will be a problem for Greece “in the future,” according to Ta Nea.

The information reported by Ta Nea was in the context of the Egyptian president meeting Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Cypriot President Nikos Anastasiades during a tripartite meeting in Nicosia on Wednesday.

The Egyptian president’s concern is not only about Ankara’s involvement in all regional conflicts, but especially about the way Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan “now engages and openly uses the Islamic factor.”

In this context, the Egyptian president warned “of a wave of terrorists in Greece in the future”.

Ta Nea referred to a confidential briefing that took place during the tripartite meeting where it was agreed “Mr. Mitsotakis and Mr. Anastasiadis keep it high on the agenda, not only tripartite contacts but also of their own moves towards third countries.”

Today’s Ta Nea article comes as yesterday Greek City Times reported yesterday how Abraham Kasparian, a Syrian-born Armenian journalist, revealed through a leaked conversations between Idlib-based terrorists, that Turkey is now recruiting Syrian mercenaries to be sent to the Greek border.

Kasparian says that as Turkey is hosting thousands of Syrian militants, Ankara is planning another location to “burn” them as Azerbaijan will not be enough to get rid of them all….

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi should be listened to. He is one of the most outstanding leaders that Egypt ever had. He clearly sees the threat of Islamism, since he understands how it has been the scourge of Egyptian stability and prosperity. The Muslim Brotherhood is the Islamic and Egyptian version of Hitler’s Nazi Party.

Anyone who doesn’t get that is obtuse and an enabler of that vicious ideology. I am speaking of Obama and Biden and their unread, unstudied Pollyanna crowd.

Al Sisi certainly knows that the Muslim Brotherhood is a threat to his regime.

Hagia Sophia Cathedral is the remaining, intact symbol of the Byzantine Roman Empire. It is also the symbol and home church of all Orthodox Christians.

It is obvious that the cathedral should be returned to its rightful owners. A civilized country would do it, but Turkey is run by barbarians with a mythical, Bronze-Age world view.

I am always kind of hung up on a question about these ”islamic leaders”.
Do they really believe in islam, or is it just a means to power?
I know the end result is the same either way, it just sometimes is a passing thought.
      Crazy?– Crazy like a fox?

That`s revealing – another Middle Eastern nation besides UAE warning Western Europe about the Islamic agenda and the EU is still not listening.

Good one. EU keeps funding NGOs which give to the PA. Well after Israel called them on it and proved it.

Al-Sisi asks to stop with blasphemous cartoons too, since it is hurting Muslims.

Let’s see the Hebdo cartoon of Erdogan — Sounds as if Turkey is almost as bent out of shape over it as the cartoons Hebdo published of Mohammed — Even though I heard of it through MSM, none as yet have shown it — 4 years! for insulting Erdogan, the Islamic devotee POS.

Egypt’s Sisi: Erdogan ‘now openly uses the Islamic factor,’ warns of ‘wave of terrorists in Greece in the future’
    ………………………

Sisi is not wrong–just surprised to see him speaking out. Of course, Egypt, like the rest of the Arab world, doesn’t want to see the return of the Ottoman Empire, either.

prepaid and propaganda news for anti -Turkey . Turkey is one of the most targetted country by jihadis and those Syrians who defend for their independence are not İslamist Jihadis. Sisi mostly is afraid of his own actions after he did coup and killed thousands of people . So he is trying his regime to get legitimate by EU so he is blaming Erdogan or Turkey in every arena.
