“Islamophobia” is a propaganda term that is used for two unrelated phenomena: vigilante attacks against innocent Muslims, which are never justified, and honest analysis of the motivating ideology behind jihad violence and Sharia oppression of women and others. The goal of this conflation is to inhibit such analysis and intimidate people into thinking it’s wrong to oppose jihad terror. And it’s working great. If Facebook cracks down even herder than it already does on what it deems “Islamophobia,” no opposition to jihad violence and Sharia oppression of women will be allowed on its platform.
Remember also that Facebook’s Vice President Joel Kaplan went to Pakistan in 2017 and assured the Pakistani government that Facebook would remove “anti-Islam” content. Since material opposing jihad terror is routinely smeared as “anti-Islam,” it would all be gone.
“Pakistan’s PM asks Facebook to ban Islamophobic content,” BBC, October 26, 2020 (thanks to Henry):
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has written a letter to Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, asking him to put a ban on Islamophobic content.
In a letter, Mr Khan said “growing Islamophobia” was encouraging “hate, extremism and violence… especially through the use of social media”.
It comes a day after Mr Khan accused French President Emmanuel Macron of “attacking Islam”.
Facebook already has a policy of removing hate speech on its platforms.
It defines hate speech as “a direct attack on people” based on protected characteristics including race, ethnicity, national origin and religious affiliation, through “violent or dehumanising speech” or “harmful stereotypes”.
In a letter which he published on Twitter, Mr Khan referred to a recent decision by Facebook to ban any content that denies or distorts the Holocaust.
He called for a similar policy to be put in place for anti-Islam comments.
“Given the rampant abuse and vilification of Muslims on social media platforms, I would ask you to place a similar ban on Islamophobia and hate against Islam for Facebook that you have put in place for the Holocaust,” he said.
“The message of hate must be banned in total – one cannot send a message that while hate messages against some are unacceptable, these are acceptable against others.”
On Sunday, Mr Khan accused the French president of “attacking Islam”….
“It is unfortunate that [Mr Macron] has chosen to encourage Islamophobia by attacking Islam rather than the terrorists who carry out violence.”…

When Muslims really get offended at Facebook of Twitter they will launch attacks like they did against Charlie Hebdo. I don’t see a downside here.

seriously, though, Kilauea, it is doubtful that those running social media platforms have left their employees undefended. well, OK, it is doubtful that their executive offices are unguarded; the stupid stinking masses who work for them, even though they have similar beliefs, can shift for themselves. anyway, everybody knows that the *REAL* danger comes from kluxers and white supremacists [ /sarc ].

Khan has a point. Why is Holocaust given privilege against mockery? That is the problem with ‘hate speech’ censorship in a nutshell. That is why I am for letting it all be mocked, all of it, Jews, Christians, Muslims, LGBT, Blacks, Whites, Mexicans. Mock them all if you want. I don’t care.

The Islamophobia slander is many things. It is a Strawman argument, psychological projection, a Trojan-horse excuse for censorship, the “crying wolf” fallacy of distraction, a red herring fallacy of irrelevancy and mere name-calling in order to replace Muslims saying ‘fitna’ (all disagreement with Mohammed) or ‘blasphemy’ or ‘kufr’ (incorrect or blasphemous belief about Mohammed).
The very word “Islamophobia” is a fictional construct, as journalist Claire Berlinski explains, “The neologism ‘Islamophobia’ did not simply emerge ex nihilo. It was invented, deliberately, by a Muslim Brotherhood front organization, the International Institute for Islamic Thought, which is based in Northern Virginia….Abdur-Rahman Muhammad, a former member of the IIIT who has renounced the group in disgust, was an eyewitness to the creation of the word. ‘This loathsome term,’ he writes, ‘is nothing more than a thought-terminating cliché conceived in the bowels of Muslim think tanks for the purpose of beating down critics.’”

Absolutely sick of the “pain” and “injustice” being suffered by Moslems. Moslems are always the victims like the Pope is always a Catholic.

Encouraging “hate, extremism and violence…”?

Islamophilia
The idealization and fetishization of Islam; rabid support of Muslim individuals and the Islamic religion and culture even when such support is predicated upon or results in ignoring evidence, facts, or logic. Entails an idealized view of Islam in both a modern and historical context – often accompanied by a demonization of Christianity or Western culture and values. Islamophilia is mostly found among passionate yet ignorant SJWs, who have not read the Quran or Hadith.

Its very strange that a religion like islam, and a country like Pakistan, often scream and shout against America and Jews and yet they all seem to use Facebook which is owned by an America Jew…
Do they see their own irony… They also use Whatsapp which was created by an Israel Jew in Tel Aviv.
Has islam, or any muslim, come up with anything to add to the modern World today or is it just racism that no muslim seem to get Nobel Prizes for anything….

Be very afraid. Even if the first amendment remains in effect, in the sense that congress passes no law restricting the press, free speech may still die if very few people buy books and get all their information from sites like Face book, and these sites choose to censor material.

Well hell if he can demand to ban islamophobia from Facebook, then I demand that Facebook ban anyone from posting Islamic ideology that I don’t agree with. That would mean that nothing Islamic would ever appear on Facebook again,
Good riddance to a bad cult religious ideology.
