#BREAKING: President @realDonaldTrump has announced that Sudan and Israel have agreed to the normalization of relations— another major step toward building peace in the Middle East with another nation joining the Abraham Accords 🇸🇩 🇮🇱 🇺🇸
— Judd Deere 45 Archived (@JuddPDeere45) October 23, 2020
As Hugh Fitzgerald discussed here yesterday, Sudan has become the latest majority-Muslim state to normalize relations with Israel, once again bypassing “Palestinian” jihadi intransigence.
What is happening here, if it can be sustained, could be world-historical.

Will not be received well by Biden and his cohorts, especially Omar, Tlaib and CAIR. AOC, of course, will be “out to lunch” on this as she is about most everything (I’d bet a case of one’s favorite beer that AOC couldn’t even find Sudan on a map, let alone Gambia, Rwanda or Sierra Leone—but I digress).
As for Kamala Harris, she will find some way to either ignore this or denigrate it. All of which tends to prove that the modern Democratic Party is: 1) no friend of Israel, the only decent polity in the Middle East; 2) so consumed with hatred for Trump that it is blind to his revolutionary foreign policy achievements (yet another example being his masterful way of semi-neutralizing North Korea by directly engaging its dictatorial regime and which the ever stupid Biden characterizes as some kind of subservience); 3) behind the 8-ball in general as it continues to try out again and again worn-out policies by sucking up to such failures as the Iran nuclear deal, the Paris Climate Accord and stupidly supporting the ever so-annoying, consumed with hatred, and ever so-useless, so-called Palestinians.
Trump thinks “outside the box” on sundry matters. Many Republicans do as well (examples being Jim Jordan, Marsha Blackburn, and David Nunes) but many Republicans, sadly, do not (examples being Mitt Romney, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski) but virtually NO Democrats think “outside the box.” Indeed, virtually all Democrats are entrapped “inside the box,” which is now in this silly age replete with all kinds of foolish woke shit—supporting BLM as an example and which putrid organization is on record by its three founders, Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza and Opal Tometti stating that they are “trained Marxists.”
Fluid times, You betcha’.
And liberty hangs in the balance. Islam has never been a friend of liberty and the Democratic Party of the USA, once a staunch defender or liberty, is now aligned with many forces who detest liberty. And Biden remains clueless or complicit—oh yeah, major problem time for the cause of freedom. You betcha’.

The poor Sudanese. I feel for them.
gravenimage says
PG has said things like this on other threads–that Sudan with its dark history of slavery, terrorism, and murderous antisemitism is somehow threatened by signing an agreement not to attack Israel. Very twisted stuff.
PG says
When has the Sudan attacked Israel? As if! When has the Sudan attacked Jews? Never. It sent its Jews to Israel in the 80s…and fair enough: Israel was where Jews wanted to be, no? Then the Sudan simply forgot about Jews and Israel…until, of course, Israel supported the southern Sudanese in the civil war. When it comes to “attacks”, Israel attacked the Sudan, not the other way round. But you are so brainwashed…you never learn…year after year you say the same stuff.

PG,
“Sudan went to war with Israel in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War and the Six-Day War in 1967”

Brainwashed? Look in the nearest mirror respecting who is brainwashed. Not only has James Lincoln accurately repudiated you, so will I by pointing out that South Sudan, the newest African nation, exists precisely because Christians in the southern third or so of Sudan were heartily tired of being dhimmified and enslaved by Muslims further north because, as you know or should know, Islam is just fine with enslaving non-Muslims, especially if they’re women—and if resistance is offered to this heinous Islamic directive, then death is to follow.
Wake the Hell up. No non-Muslim should have any respect for Islam. Even Muslims themselves should give up on their foul creed which demands death for apostasy (e.g., in Sura 4:89), sanctions the rape of non-Muslim women as found in Suras 4, 23, 33 and 70 of the worst religious work ever written, i.e., the Koran, and which putrid faith has no true Golden Rule for all.
Oh yeah, wake the Hell up. Until you do, you are the brainwashed one.

More from the appalling PG:
When has the Sudan attacked Israel? As if!
…………………………………….
As James Lincoln notes, Sudan attacked Israel twice, the first time trying to destroy her right at the beginning. Just grotesque untruths from PG.
More:
When has the Sudan attacked Jews? Never. It sent its Jews to Israel in the 80s…and fair enough: Israel was where Jews wanted to be, no? Then the Sudan simply forgot about Jews and Israel…
…………………………………….
Sudanese newspapers advocated the torture and murder of Jewish community leaders, spurring numerous antisemitic attacks. Muslims desecrated the Jewish cemetery. Pretending that antiseimitic attacks are not attacks makes no sense at all. More dishonesty.
More:
until, of course, Israel supported the southern Sudanese in the civil war. When it comes to “attacks”, Israel attacked the Sudan, not the other way round. But you are so brainwashed…you never learn…year after year you say the same stuff.
…………………………………….
Besides targeting Jews, Sudan enslaved and slaughtered Christians, in even greater numbers. This is what the Christian survivors hoped to escape in seceding from Sudan. *Of course* this poster hates that. And how dare anyone help them escape slavery and murder? Bad dhimmis!

…………………
Sounds good–but Israel had better remain cautious.
PG says
Ha ha! Israel has something to fear from the Sudan? You are hilarious!
gravenimage says
Yeah–Sudan has just unilaterally attacked Israel twice–so what could possibly go wrong? sarc/off

You make me more nervous GI…
I have had a sense of foreboding iro these happy get-togethers from the outset…
I wish it were not so…
But the ROP, wherever found, has not ever proven to be anything less than demonic.
The viper will strike sooner or later… and the strike will be from the collective. This nagging intuition persues me relentlessly.
And then… ?

Observer, I do think that this is generally good news–but Muslims have pretended friendship before to get closer to their victims. Of course I hope this is the real thing–but luckily Israel is good at being careful.

Amazing how a “failed president” has achieved more towards middle eastern peace in 4 years than dumbocraps have in how many years?
Of course if Harris becomes president all of this will be un done within a year.

Because Donald Trump is always looking at the facts and then looking to achieve a modus vivendi, whereas the Democrats – and the EU, the UN etc – are always working to pressure Israel to surrender.
Trump recognises basic facts such as that – whatever the posturing – ME leaders couldn’t give a damn whereabouts the Israelis have their capital, if having a deal helps them avoid being attacked by Iran or Turkey.
On the other hand, the John Kerrys, Angela Merkels, Frederica Mogherinis, and Theresa Mays of this world, are entirely happy to do deals with Iran and would never dream of pointing out obvious things such as that the whole world knows that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, however politely the Israelis maintained the fiction that it was Tel Aviv / that the “Two State Solution” already happened / or doing anything to interrupt the process of strangling Israel.
Trump isn’t lauded for his success in bringing stability, because the Left have no interest in stability; they get their kicks – and their kick-backs – from destruction: Saddam Hussein and Colonel Gaddafi were expendable because they were simple, secular thugs and there wasn’t a great deal on money to be got there. Iran – on the other hand – with it’s thrilling calls to destroy America and spread terrorism world-wide, coupled with endless opportunities for corruption, ticks all the right boxes for the amoral university-educated political classes.
Corruption comes sugar-coated in whatever form the recipient finds it easiest to swallow – why bother being embarrassed about having a measly few million stashed in a Swiss bank account, when you can receive tens of millions openly in the form of book deals, lecture tours, grants to your “Foundation”, one-day-a-year directorships, “consultancies”, or sinecures such as being a “Peace Envoy” ?
Apart from countries with a great deal of money to offer – Qatar, Saudi Arabia etc – the other attraction to corrupt Western politicians, is countries in receipt of aid. What else makes a corrupt terrorist-supporting state such Pakistan so damned popular with Western politicians, unless they’re getting a slice of the aid budget ?
Look no further than Joe Biden pulling the strings in Ukraine to make sure that a fat slice of the billion dollars he was dangling, stuck to his fingers: If the Ukrainian government hadn’t caved-in and suspended it’s investigations into corruption involving Burisma, – the gas company channelling large sums via his son – then he’d have moved on to another government – Kazakhstan? – flashing the cash and asking what was in it for him. (The incentive for Biden/Harris to close down US gas and oil extraction isn’t some misty-eyed commitment to Green energy – it’s because the US will then have to get it’s fuel-supplies from abrod, and that means more opportunities for politicians like Joe to carry on fracking for cash and drilling for dollars. The Democrats sold-out US manufacturing to China, and now plan to sell-out the energy industry.)
It’s interesting that – in what the media claim are the final days of the Trump administration – countries such as Sudan remain keen to sign-up to the Trump initiative: Are they (A) confident that Trump will remain in office, or (B) are they keen to get the benefits now that the UAE and Bahrain have led the way, and are hurrying to sign now as insurance against Biden taking office – (for which read Harris, AOC, Sanders, Obama) – and imposing penalties on countries which seek to normalise relations with Israel ?

Excellent post, Phil Copson – my compliments.
Leonard Stephen Feinman says
The good part is that it removes their blanket support for the P.A., delegitimizing BDS. Also, Sudan gave material support to Israel’s enemies when they were at war. Bahrain and the UAE did not.
The news was not welcomed in Sudan. Anti-Israel factions remain, for the same reasons it remains in all Arab countries, but the leaders are all looking for a leg up against other leaders with their approach to Israel.
For Israel, this is a political coup but also adds a trading partner. As for Sudan, they no longer have to pay jizya to Abbas.
