Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Turkey: TV host calls on Macron to ‘reexamine’ the freedom of speech and criminalize blasphemy against Islam

Oct 21, 2020 10:30 am By Robert Spencer 32 Comments

There are many in the West who agree with Mohamed Abdelbaky — so many that the freedom of speech is under serious threat. If Western countries adopt blasphemy laws, however, they will be essentially committing suicide. For years now, Islamic groups in the West have characterized any analysis of how jihad terrorists use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and supremacism as “hate speech” in the same category as a cartoon of Muhammad; if mockery of Islam is outlawed, such analysis will be as well, and then jihadis will be able to operate with impunity and without any opposition.

“TV Host On Turkey-Based Muslim Brotherhood TV Channel Mohamed Abdelbaky Following French Teacher’s Murder: Freedom Of Speech Should Not Include Offending Prophet Muhammad, Islam,” MEMRI, October 17, 2020:

On an October 17, 2020 show on Channel 9 (Turkey), Egyptian TV host Mohamed Abdelbaky discussed the recent beheading of a history teacher, Samuel Paty, in France for having shown his class cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad. Abdelbaky harshly criticized French President Emmanuel Macron, saying that he “offended” the Muslims by describing the beheading as an act of Islamic terrorism. Abdelbaky criticized French authorities for killing the murderer instead of arresting, interrogating, and trying him to find out the “truth.” Claiming that Macron only seeks to prove that Muslims are terrorists, Abdelbaky said that freedom of expression in France should not include speech that is blasphemous against Islam. He also questioned why Paty had been showing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in the first place. Channel 9 is one of several Arabic-language TV channels affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood that broadcast from Turkey.

Mohamed Abdelbaky: “A French teacher in a Paris junior high school exhibited cartoons that are offensive to the Prophet Muhammad. He enraged the Muslims, using the pretext of exercising freedom of speech. A week later, a young Muslim man of Chechen origins slaughtered that French teacher in the street. Consequently, the police shot and killed him on the spot, in one of Paris’s suburbs. Macron showed up immediately on the scene, and he offended the Muslims, once again. He described this operation as ‘Islamic terrorism,’ and vowed to confront this darkness, in his words. Evoking the freedom of speech guaranteed by French law, Macron and his lackeys welcomed the offense against the Prophet Muhammad. However, with complete disregard of the law, they killed the Chechen boy on the spot without arresting and interrogating him, and without exploring the truth about who was behind him. Truth is not the goal here. Macron does not care about the truth. All Macron wants is to prove his hateful and provocative theory that Muslims are terrorists.

[…]

“There are many questions. Why did the French teacher provoke his students and the Muslims in general, by being offensive towards the Prophet Muhammad? Why wasn’t the young man who killed the teacher arrested, so he could be interrogated and stand a public trial, in keeping with the law and the constitution? Why doesn’t the French President draw a limit to this anarchistic (freedom of speech) law, which allows for the provoking of Muslims’ sentiments and which ruins society? Reexamine the freedom [of speech] law, Macron. Draw a line for people who are blasphemous against Islam, just like you draw the line for people involved in so-called antisemitism. Then, apply the law to the attacker, rather than killing him.”

Islam is clearly incompatible with the freedom of expression. Why not admit it?

Muslims cannot bear to live in a society that practices freedom of expression.

Irony mortimer. You get it right? No, apparently not.

You talk about freedom of expression and then attack those who use freedom of expression.
Your affected ‘christianity’ too is patently fraudulent:who do you think you are you fooling?

You should have been a Lawyer with such sophistry skills.

mortimer once said to me that humorous jibes might incite jihadists:muslims don’t need that as as excuse. They have their koran,’prophet’ and god.

France has generously welcomed Muslims and given them citizenship and in doing so has not only improved their lives but also saved the lives of many of them. How do these people repay their debt to France? They want to bring down France or at least Islamize the country by changing the country’s laws. What they failed to do with the sword at the Battle of Poitier (Balata in Arabic) centuries afo, they are doing through procreation. Erdogan of Turkey has made no secret of this fact: he has told European Muslims to have lots of children (the taxper-funded welfare checks will raise these future anti-European “soldiers” of Islam.France is committing suicide. It’s giving the hangman the rope. Incredible… and let the French argue about deconstructionalism and other effete theories.

Why bother with analysis? Just publish the statements. It’s not like they are not known among believers. It’s the ignorant non-believers who need to know.

Agree with the opinion of FA to insist on ‘just the facts’.

It is more powerful in argument to quote the Islamic source texts than to state dozens of opinions.

“We have already discussed killing the person who, with intent, curses the Prophet, belittles him or slights him in any way. The judgement in this case is clear.” (i.e. death) – Qadhi Iyaadh in ash-Shifa, Volume No.2, Page No. 27

Mortimer, can a totally accurate direct quote from the basic texts, with full cites and attribution, be a slight?

Start from the beginning. Work through one step at a time. But always without comment or discussion.

‘TURHIBUNNA’ (terrorize them) – Koran 8.60

There is a case to be made that islam blasphemes against itself, all the time and in multiple ways, including scholarly forms. Forbidding blasphemy against islam implies forbidding islam. It is just by doing away with every form of logic, rationality, and reasonableness that anybody can deny that.

AAP, do you think one person reflects a nation? Please be careful. Remember for most of a decade Winston Churchill was alone in warning of Hitler’s evil. He was not just ignored but ostracized for telling the truth after reading and watching the truth. Chamberlain was not alone in his collaboration and surrender. And sadly neither was Daladier alone in France. It is easy to surrender and hard to fight. Many people are so lazy that they had rather surrender.

I don’t get you, are you talking sarcastic? Do you not understand what I said? Why should we care if some muslim criticizes Macron for speaking the truth? Let them criticize, we don’t have to apologize for taking good action against terrorists or their depraved ideology. Why should we give a crap if a muslim tv host on some Turkey-based station doesn’t like our free speech? I don’t, and I’m surprised to learn that you apparently do.

AAP, I understand that any sense of humor I have is hidden deeply and almost always misunderstood. I am certainly not questioning you; but am questioning the premise of the article and comments that a single pronouncement of an official reflects a turnaround of perception of islam as the evil it is.

In connection with your comment, do you think we should take any comfort or relief that after decades of murders one French official dares to tell the truth about a single murder when hundreds of others for decades have been whitewashed?

Look what it took for the UK government to turn around its “official” view of Hitler? Thousands died in the opening days of the 1939 conquest of Poland before Chamberlain finally conceded that he was a complete fool and vacated his office. Thousands have died in Europe, Africa and the US. When can we see a similar concession by those who are surrendering not only our countries, but also our futures to islamic domination? Always with greatest courtesy and respect to you.

          Frank,
Oh wow, you really read a lot into my one humorous quip. It never occurred to me that anyone would take it any other way than satire. No, I’m not that naive, Frank. I’ve been following this issue since about 2005, and I’m not the kind to change a world of thought on one public pronouncement by one or two politicians. But thanks for the heads up, I’ll be more careful in the future. As long as I’m here, let me re-post it correctly since I fudged it anyway,

lol, who gives a sh*t. In other news, the French decide TO live free in their own nation! [please note: this is satire and not meant to be taken literally]

Please let me know if you need help with the second interpretation…. haha! kidding. 🙂

AAP, I humbly apologize for any offense. I assure you none is intended, ever. We are running out of time and opportunities to stop this conquest, or hundreds, perhaps thousands of generations will pay the price.

Have you read the Dune series, started by Frank Herbert?. It describes a 10,000 year contest. There are better and more productive things to accomplish without wasting time on slavery.

Oh, don’t be silly Frank. Little misunderstandings are part of the game. We’d have to be pretty childish to think we’d never, ever have some misunderstanding when discussing or debating. No, I know who you are in here, I wouldn’t dare step on your toes. 😉 And no, I haven’t read the Dune series, but I did like the Dune movie from ’84. But it’s funny you mention it, about a month ago I was thinking of buying a Dune book. Maybe I will, thanks. 🙂

Macron should reply that he will clamp down on free speech when Erdogan returns the Santa Sophia to the Greek Orthodox Church and removes the Islamic crap covering the great Byzantine works of art and permits Christian services within the great building. Tell Erdogan that France will prevent any perceived slander against Islam when Erdogan returns the Kemal Constitution to the people of Turkey only with stronger guarantees for an open society. I have no doubt that Macron would be rebuffed in a flash of a second which would point to Erdogan’s hypocrisy.

Freedom or Islam. Take your choice. Can’t have both.

Freedom or Leftism. Take your choice. Can’t have both.

The former is the world’s oldest totalitarian ideology and the latter is the world’s newest totalitarian ideology.

The former represents a bastardization of Judaism and Christianity and the latter is “merely” Marxism warmed over.

For the time being they’re very compatible because they both detest freedom.

Western Civilization pioneered freedom as no other civilization remotely has and thus both Islam and Leftism are mortal enemies of this civilization and one either knows this or should know this.

So this Muslim scumbag calls on France to change its laws in order to cave in to Islam and fit in with barbaric Islam’s desire to end our western style freedom of expression. I have a better idea. Time for France and all other western countries to wake up, admit that islam is totally incompatible with our far better, more civilised way of living, and kick the Muslims out of the entire western world. That is the decision that will have to be made one day so they may as well wake up to reality and get on with it now. It’ll only get harder and harder to throw the Muslims out as their numbers grow even bigger. Islam is the clear enemy of all our western values and does not belong in any western, civilised country. “Blasphemy” against islam. Islam is sheer evil and barbarity and deserves to be torn to shreds.
