Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Turkey’s Erdogan: ‘Jerusalem is our city’

Oct 3, 2020 11:00 am By Robert Spencer 31 Comments

Erdogan’s aspirations to restore the caliphate grow plainer by the day, but Western officials continue to ignore them.

“‘Jerusalem is our city,’ Turkey’s Erdogan declares,” by Raphael Ahren, Times of Israel, October 1, 2020:

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Thursday implied that Jerusalem belongs to Turkey, referring to the Ottoman Empire’s control over the city for much of the modern era.

“In this city that we had to leave in tears during the First World War, it is still possible to come across traces of the Ottoman resistance. So Jerusalem is our city, a city from us,” he told Turkish lawmakers during a major policy speech in Ankara. “Our first qibla [direction of prayer in Islam] al-Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem are the symbolic mosques of our faith. In addition, this city is home to the holy places of Christianity and Judaism.”…

“Another crisis that our country and our nation carefully follow is the oppression of Israel against the Palestinians and the indifferent practices that disregard the privacy of Jerusalem,” he said toward the end of his address.

“The issue of Jerusalem is not an ordinary geopolitical problem for us. First of all, the current physical appearance of the Old City, which is the heart of Jerusalem, was built by Suleiman the Magnificent, with its walls, bazaar, and many buildings. Our ancestors showed their respect for centuries by keeping this city in high esteem.”

The Palestinian people have been living in Jerusalem “for thousands of years,” but they were occupied and had their rights violated, the Turkish leader went on….

“We consider it an honor on behalf of our country and nation to express the rights of the oppressed Palestinian people on every platform, with whom we have lived for centuries,” he said. “With this understanding, we will follow both the Palestinian cause, which is the bleeding wound of the global conscience, and the Jerusalem case to the end.”…

Now ignoring the rest of the shoite pouring from the mouth of this idiot. I believed that the first Qiblas were pointed to the area around Petra.
I would add that it was some feat for the pallies to be in Jerusalem in 1918 as they only invented the term in the 1960s.

See Len Gibson, Quranic Geography and Early Islamic Qiblas. He submits that Petra was the first qibla — and should still be. If his arguments convince a sufficient number of Muslims, the Jordanian Convention Center and Visitors’ Bureau will be very happy.

It would be amusing if Iran, to undermine Saudi Arabia, came down on the side of Petra, the once and just possibly — who knows?–future qibla.

Did he produce a documentary on the subject?
I first heard the theory being set forth by Peter Townsend in his book “the mecca mystery”
Will need to look up Len Gibson. Many thanks

A documentary about this exists, but the name escapes me. I saw in on youtube within the past 12-15 months. It was excellent, and I wish I had known how to download a copy of it back then.

Erdogan , had also declared “Whoever is on the side of Israel ,let everyone know that we are against them.” This then by those words “against them.” Likewise must mean against him of her ,as an individual, who for the State of Israel

This must thus mean that they are also against Him. Who is God for being on the side of the Israel for being for Jewish State of Israel. As it is written in the Bible, “For the Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His special treasure.” Psalm 135:4. [N.K.J.V.]

Turkey turning the Sophia Hagia Church into a mosque would be like Israel turning the Dome of the Rock in to a Church or a Synagogue, wouldn’t it Mr. Erdogan. Jerusalem is not your city.

Thus spewed the horrible, vile, tyrant, ISIL’s ally, biggest terrorist, piece of crap. He is now giving lessons about global conscience. Isn’t this son of a pimp constantly murdering the Kurds, bombing their villages in Iraqi Kurdistan and used ISIL to attack Kurdish city of Kobane and converted secular Turkey into an Islamist, terror dictatorship ? If we are to talk about global conscience ErdoPig (Sorry to pigs) and his bloody, terror regime is not an exception. Where is the global conscience when Kurds and other peoples murdered at the hands of evil Turkish ? I really hope this wicked man will die in unimaginable pains with his terror-minded, crew, so that’ll be a warning to future dictators…

Thank you, Boycott Turkey. I saw that beautiful moment. I think animals are better than some humans, especially better than evils like Turdogan. Even sometimes losing my hope, I still believe in a Divine judgement and think that Evildogan’s fell of that horse was just a start of the Divine judgement. The horse sensed the evilness of him. I hope there’ll be more to that judgement which he pays for all of the evilness he made. You are so true about the betrayal. I don’t trust any government nor any nation I only trust and believe in a God. My only hope is for the God’s help and judgement. I believe that because it is the only thing that keeps me living with hope. I still hope someday Turkey will apologize for the genocides and evil tyrants like Turdogan will be disappear from the world.

Erdogan is a madman. All of Anatolia belongs to the Greeks and Armenians. He doesn’t get that the Turks are the squatters. I worry about my cousin and family on Cyprus. Thank heavens for Greek City Times; there’s no news whatsoever here where I live about Greece or Armenia. I see that a lot of Greeks have gone to fight to save Artsakh. The Turkish foreign minister
Mevlut Cavusoglu is a warmongering fool as well. I pray the warmongering Turks get stopped!

Jerusalem appears in the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) 669 times and Zion (which usually means Jerusalem, sometimes the Land of Israel) appears 154 times.

None of the 16 various Arabic names for Jerusalem is mentioned in the Koran. But in an expanded interpretation of the Koran from the 12th century, one passage is said to refer to Jerusalem.

    Ezekiel 48:31-34 ESV
Three gates, the gate of Reuben, the gate of Judah, and the gate of Levi, the gates of the city being named after the tribes of Israel. On the east side, which is to be 4,500 cubits, three gates, the gate of Joseph, the gate of Benjamin, and the gate of Dan. On the south side, which is to be 4,500 cubits by measure, three gates, the gate of Simeon, the gate of Issachar, and the gate of Zebulun. On the west side, which is to be 4,500 cubits, three gates, the gate of Gad, the gate of Asher, and the gate of Naphtali.

Jerusalem belongs to Israel and all the tribes of Israel. Adolph Erdogan can pound sand.

“to express the rights” and “we will follow”, doesn’t represent much in the line of action by Tuekey on behalf of the “Palestinians”. Apparently, Erdogan knows that he is unable to garner enough Turkish or other support at this time for a successful attack on Israel.

This seems to be a, “Thinking Of You”, belated postcard with no gift inside.

All these lovers and no wedding ring. “Palestinans”, the jilted Old Maid. The suitors desire the jewel of Jerusalem yet cannot bring themselves to endure the great cost of a loveless marriage.

Not gonna’ beg, just gonna’ differr and say No, it isn’t.

God gave the city to the Jews hundreds of years ago. When on earth, Jesus Christ sat on the Mount of Olives and spoke about the city and what would happen to it, but He never said anything about it being given to islam, moslims, or that filthy creep, mass-murdering, raper of children who lied about everything, including Jerusalem.
Jerusalem was never given to moslims. They invaded and “stole” it, but for stealing, according to islam, they should have lost a hand or many. Trying to steal it again won’t make it belong to them any more than stealing it the first time made it their.

God gave the City to David, thousands of years ago.David made it the capital city of the Kingdom of the Jews. David was said to “sit on Jehovah’s throne.”
Before that, Melchizedek, King of Salem, went out and blessed Abraham…a man who was devoted to God and blessed by God.

The City of Jerusalem has it origins there, with King-Priest, Melchizedek..

moslims are thieves and want what does not belong to them. They are liars and say that what is another’s belongs to them.

Anyone who believes Muslims have a rightful claim to Jerusalem are totally ignorant (and intentionally so) of real history…. via our family tree…we have been able to trace our ancestors back to 10th century Jerusalem…history is amazing and ignored by the Muslims and “iinvaders”…the real truth MUST be taught again…Biblically speaking…
