This demonstrates the massive damage that labels such as “Islamophobia” and “racism” cause. In Western countries, authorities are all too often afraid to do their duty so as to avoid such labels. The rule of law is weakened as a result.
In this catastrophic instance in Manchester, 22 people were murdered and over 800 wounded, some of them children.
Now it has become clear that the attack may have been prevented, had the teen security guard felt free to do his job; instead, this was his thinking when confronted with Salman Abedi:
“I did not want people to think I am stereotyping him because of his race.
“I was scared of being wrong and being branded a racist if I got it wrong and would have got into trouble. It made me hesitant.
“I wanted to get it right and not mess it up by over-reacting or judging someone by their race.”
“Manchester Arena Inquiry: Security ‘did not approach bomber over racism fears,’” BBC News, October 27, 2020:
A security guard had a “bad feeling” about suicide bomber Salman Abedi but did not approach him for fear of being branded a racist, an inquiry has heard.
Kyle Lawler, who was 18 at the time of the Manchester Arena attack, was standing 10 or 15ft away from Abedi.
He later told police he was conflicted because he thought something was wrong but could not put his finger on it.
About five minutes later, at 22:31 BST on 22 May 2017, Abedi detonated a bomb packed with 3,000 nuts and bolts.
Abedi, 22, dressed all in black and carrying a large rucksack, had been reported to security by a member of the public at 22:15.
Around eight minutes before the bombing, Showsec steward Mohammed Ali Agha alerted Mr Lawler to the report and both began observing Abedi.
In his statement prepared for the inquiry, Mr Lawler said: “I just had a bad feeling about him but did not have anything to justify that.”
The witness added that Abedi was “fidgety and sweating”.
Mr Lawler said he attempted to use his radio to alert the security control room but claimed he could not get through due to radio traffic.
He then left the arena and took up his position outside the City Room and made no further attempt to raise the alarm.
Mr Lawler agreed he simply “gave up” trying to use the radio and just got on with his job.
In his prepared statement to the inquiry, the Showsec security guard also said: “I felt unsure about what to do.
“It’s very difficult to define a terrorist. For all I knew he might well be an innocent Asian male.
“I did not want people to think I am stereotyping him because of his race.
“I was scared of being wrong and being branded a racist if I got it wrong and would have got into trouble. It made me hesitant.
“I wanted to get it right and not mess it up by over-reacting or judging someone by their race.”….

This young man, Kyle Lawler, must not feel guilty for what happened. He was functioning within a corrupt and Dhimmi corporate culture in a corrupt and Dhimmi Britain. He had the right to go into the workplace believing that his employer would stand behind him. That he did not have this confidence, is a catastrophic failure of leadership on the part of his employer!
Walk tall, Mr. Lawler. You were the only component of the machine which did not fail!
Keith says
It isn’t only his employer that failed him and all those who were killed/wounded that night.
It starts with the government and proceeds down through local authorities, the Police, Doctors and Nurses, social workers, charities that are supposed protect the public especially children. That is shown by their response to the grooming gang scandal.
Also the media and news organisations who also failed and still fail to report openly and honestly on the trials or even do their own investigations to see what is happening.

Well said, Keith!

I think you forgot to mention the teachers in that list. Apart from cesspits like the BBC, they’re the ones responsible for brainwashing suggestible young minds in the UK.

No, fuck that! If you force yourself to ignore the all-too-obvious telltale signs of muslims (or anyone else) about to do something criminal just so you could keep your job, YOU ARE COMPLICIT IN THE CRIME! PERIOD!!! This is ESPECIALLY true if IT WAS YOUR JOB to prevent shit like that from happening!!!
I am now officially blaming this man for the Manchester bombing, just how I blame all the other crimes of muslims in the West on the ones who brought them here in the first place.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
— Edmund Burke
And that’s exactly what’s happening. Keep doing nothing, people of the West. Oh and don’t worry, it will only get worse.

“over fear of being called racist”
Similarly: “Should I call someone or is that being racist?”

So, In Manchester, 22 people were murdered and over 800 wounded by Salman Abedi.
Security guard Kyle Lawler feared:
1. Stereotyping Abedi because of his race.
2. Being branded a racist.
Result?
Severe mortality and morbidity due to the security guard’s 18 years indoctrination into political correctness.
Political correctness can – and does – kill.
Had Salman Abedi *not* been a terrorist, Kyle Lawler’s fears would have become a reality…

Letting the mentally deficient but physically fit dictate morality out of the irrational but pervasive fear of social rejection leads to France …. and Scotland, Denmark, most of the EU.

I wonder if he’s haunted by the screams of the wounded and dying, or does he just blank those out as well lest he be guilty of “racist” emotions?
Keith O says
This is just sickening.
All those innocents killed and wounded because of political correctness gone wrong.
This information needs to be in the MSM so that the whole population of the UK knows and understands the problems it causes.
Kyle Lawler is not at fault here, a lot of the blame sits at the feet of his trainers and his supervisors as well as society as a whole.

UK: Security guard ignored report about Manchester jihad bomber over fear of being called racist
………………
Appalling but no real surprise. How many more cases just like this have there been, all over the west? How many more will there be? How many more will die as a result?
Rob R (Brit stuck in Britainistan) says
He looks like a complete dipshit doesn’t he?
He’s actually of about average intelligence for a modern Brit.
There has been no outcry or backlash and nobody (the judge, or anyone else) said “we should make sure that doesn’t happen next time”…. you’d think ten or definitely 20 years ago he would have been subject to national hate and derision for such an act of negligence.
jesus christ, every day in Britain is torture.

Total dereliction of duty by this security guard
OLD GUY says
Hey here in the states we have people and politicians that want to defund and do away with the police. While this man may have been derelict in his duty, he may have also been subjected to harassment in the form of islamophobia from superiors and the public in general. Our police are turning their heads away from rioters and looters, because of the political mood of the politicians and left wing public. With that approach to security and law enforcement its only a matter of time before disaster strikes.

Yes–very disturbing.
