This article demonstrates yet again that there is a far greater demand for “right-wing extremism” than there is a supply, in order to justify the favored narrative of the political and media elites. s the British Colonel Richard Kemp said recently: “The authorities know full well that the far-right extremism is not a major threat in the UK.” The same thing is true in the US. Kemp’s explanation for this also applies to the US: “The reason that it is often spoken about and discussed is that is because it’s a way of appeasing the sort of people that do want to damage the UK, like Islamic terrorists and to a lesser extent the hard left. Obviously we have seen far-right people doing some terrible things, but it’s not any way comparable to Islamic jihad or similar to that. There is a pretence put up that it is. The authorities know it isn’t and I am concerned that because they have this narrative in Government far-right extremism is a danger resources are diverted to it when they shouldn’t be.”
“UK Spy Chief Confirms ‘Tens of Thousands’ of Islamists are Biggest Terror Threat – But MSM Hypes ‘Far Right,’” by Jack Montgomery, Breitbart, October 15, 2020:
New MI5 director-general Ken McCallum has confirmed that Islamist jihadists remain by far the biggest terror threat in Britain — but the mainstream media has chosen to hype his remarks on the comparatively minor threat from the far-right instead.
“Islamist extremist terrorism… by volume remains our largest threat,” the Glasgow born spy boss confirmed in his first public address since taking over Britain’s domestic intelligence agency.
“It is still the case that tens of thousands of individuals are committed to this ideology – and we must continually scan for the smaller numbers within that large group who at any given moment might be mobilising towards attacks,” he said.
“Having someone ‘on our radar’ is not the same as having them under detailed real-time scrutiny. Difficult judgements of prioritisation and risk must be made,” McCallum added — a warning which will come as little surprise to Britons familiar with learning than a given terrorist was “previously known” to the authorities, or in some cases even a convicted extremist out from prison on licence.
Despite McCallum clear admission that Islamist terrorism remains by far the number one threat to Britain, mainstream media outlets such as the BBC and CNN chose to emphasise and often lead on his comments about the “sadly rising” — but comparatively minor — threat of “right-wing extremism” instead.
“This threat is not, today, on the same scale as Islamist extremist terrorism,” McCallum had acknowledged, although he did say it was “growing” and that “of the 27 late-stage terrorist attack plots in Great Britain disrupted by MI5 and CT Policing since 2017, 8 have been right-wing extremist.”
This was all the encouragement some news outlets needed to sideline the far more pressing and, in terms of actual attacks, far more deadly Islamist threat, with the BBC not even mentioning it in the opening paragraph of its report:
Britain is facing a “nasty mix” of national security threats, from hostile state activity by Russia and China to fast-growing right-wing terrorism, the new director-general of MI5 has said.
The publicly-funded broadcaster did acknowledge in the second paragraph of its story that “Northern Irish and Islamist extremism [are] also a concern” — but it is not until paragraph twenty that it concedes that it admits that “jihadist plots form the bulk of UK investigations”.
This is more remarkable for the fact that the Muslim population which serves as the most likely recruitment pool for jihadism is comparatively small at less than four million people.
The anti-Trump CNN network in America, similarly, led with the headline ‘30% of UK terror plots disrupted by MI5 were far right, says security chief’ — an interesting reframing of the fact that 70 per cent were not — and another opening paragraph making no mention of Islamist terrorism:
The new head of MI5, the UK’s domestic security service, has warned that nearly 30% of the major terror plots it has disrupted at a late stage since 2017 have been from far-right extremists.
Similar tactics were employed by other left-liberal outlets, such as the Independent…
The major news outlets did not make any mention of the threat from far-left extremists, such as Antifa and the more radical elements of the Black Lives Matter movement — but nor did McCallum.

Talk about stating the obvious !! Anyone with half a brain cell can see what is going on.
The “far right extremists” are almost non-existent and of little importance.
Everything is being done to appease Islam and bring about the gradual collapse of the UK.
Already, in effect, Islam rules.

The whole world must know this by now – except, perhaps, the BBC.

Are you guys still being forced to pay a special tax to fund the BBC? I read about that a while ago where people complained about it and said “why should we pay when we don’t want to watch BBC” but were forced to pay anyway. Is that still happening?
Michael Copeland says
It is.
Phil Copson says
The BBC are funded on the outdated assumption that anyone who has a TV is using it to watch the BBC. This goes back to the days when the BBC had a monopoly on broadcasting and therefore it was logical that the viewer paid for the service.
As no product advertising is allowed on the BBC, then it can only be funded either by direct grants from the government, or by licence revenue from the user.
If the BBC is funded by the user and not by the State, then it should be able to maintain it’s impartiality. As long as they are seen as objective and impartial, then people haven’t generally minded continuing to pay the licence fee despite the increasing number of alternative channels which self-fund via advertising revenue.
Where this breaks down, is when the BBC is seen to have become LESS trustworthy than independent TV channels: Insulated by a guaranteed income-stream both from commercial reality and from political/public accountability, the BBC has become a partisan political actor, expert in hoovering-up public money, and intent upon misusing it to push it’s own Left-wing agenda of news censorship and smearing anyone who dissents.
(Eg – the only comment that the BBC had to make on the Trump:Biden debate, was that “Trump failed to condemn white supremacism”…. People who object to mass illegal migration are obviously “far-right”, and even what should have been a non-political item on the Mars mission, was spun to inform us that “You can’t see borders from Outer Space.”)
The situation is pretty much paying jizya, or every American JW subscriber having to pay tax to the SPLC.
What’s really needed is a whole new idea that encapsulates what many of the British public feel about the BBC – something that might even lead to it’s over-throw.
(In fact, I think there once was a whole bunch of people who got together under a slogan that went something like “No taxation without representation.” – I wonder whatever happened to them….?)

Only those who actually want to watch the BBC should have to pay for it.

As are our parliamentarians who refuse to face up this truth lest they upset vocal and violent minority!

Britain, you better rise up and face your fear like France unless in a very short time… You may never have a country you can call your own again…… Islam has taken over many CHRISTIAN nations by mass killing and mass destruction …. But it would be a global and Royal shame if France and a third world country like Nigeria can make a stand and resist Islamic domination, take back their country from them…. While Britain is losing identity gradually…. BRITAIN WATCH OUT!!!!

I noticed that when the grooming gang arrests began to accumulate the story of longtime BBC personality Jimmy Saville being a pedophile took over the British press. Classic misdirection.

Britain needs more leaders like Colonel Richard Kemp; unlike many of that country’s politicians and the BBC, Kemp seems to understand that the problem is mainly Islamic in origin.
Only recently I heard one of the US news commentators say that Antifa and BLM were ‘far-right’ groups. But both groups are far-Left, and BLM has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Fred van de Bunt says
As far as I understand there is a state to state spy and or commercial threat from China, Russia.
But there is also a threat directed at citizens.
Mr McCallum talks about tens of thousands jihadists in Britain, and one day one of them might decide to act. This is not a threat against the state.
Solved right wing threats were 7, according to McCallum.

Which of these words are throwing you for a loop? So the fact that muslims seem keener on killing citizens by the twenties instead of going for an immediate government overthrow should be a great comfort to us? Bizarre.

Of course Jihad terror attacks are a threat against the state–that is the whole purpose of Jihad; to force Infidels to submit to Muslim rule.

Thanks to Jack Montgomery of Breitbart for this straightforward factual statement of the threats facing UK. It is a refreshing change from the slanted biased mainstream coverage, as exposed in his article.

WORDS
“Islamist extremist terrorism… by volume remains our largest threat,” said spy chief.
Islamist
There is no word “Islamist” in the Manual of Islamic Law, “Reliance of the Traveller”. The word was invented for use in the West to deflect attention away from Islam. The idea is that Islam is fine, but “Islamism” is some sort of heresy. Not so. The proper description is “Islamic”.
Extremist
The UK government defines “extremism”:
“Extremism is vocal or active opposition to fundamental British values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs…”
Islam is, indeed, vocally and actively opposed to all those matters listed. Opposition to them is basic Islamic doctrine. An internet search of muslim placards will confirm that within seconds.
https://gatesofvienna.net/2019/06/the-lamentable-shortcomings-of-some-english-judges-and-senior-lawyers/
The two words “Islamist extremist” skirt the issue, and give the listener cause to think this is something other than Islam. This is thus failing to call a thing by its name. As Mr. Spencer points out, Islam MANDATES violence against all other religions. Also, for that matter, it opposes with violence ALL other political systems.
The issue is Islamic terrorism.
