Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

50,000 Muslims in Bangladesh, 2,000 in Indonesia demonstrate against Muhammad cartoons

Nov 3, 2020 4:00 pm By Robert Spencer 23 Comments

When have we seen crowds of comparable size protesting against the supposed “hijacking” of the peaceful religion of Islam by jihad terrorists? Right, never.

In July 2016, a much smaller than anticipated crowd showed up at a Muslims Against ISIS rally in Washington, D.C. There are thousands of Muslims in Dearborn, Michigan, but only 100 showed up for a rally against ISIS and “Islamophobia” in November 2015. And earlier that month, only 30 Muslims protested against the jihad massacres in Paris. In July 2015, a Muslim rally in Ireland against the Islamic State drew fifty people. In October 2014 in Houston, a rally against the Islamic State organized by the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) drew the grand total of ten people. In August 2013 in Boston, about 25 Muslims rallied against “misperceptions” that Islam was violent. About the same number showed up in June 2013 at a progressive Muslim rally in Toronto to claim that their religion had been “hijacked.”

And back in 2005, a group that called itself the Free Muslims Coalition held what it dubbed a “Free Muslims March Against Terror,” intending to “send a message to the terrorists and extremists that their days are numbered … and to send a message to the people of the Middle East, the Muslim world and all people who seek freedom, democracy and peaceful coexistence that we support them.” In the run-up to the event it got enthusiastic national and international publicity, but it ended up drawing about twenty-five people.

Contrast those paltry showings with this. But Western officials never seem to ponder the implications of these facts.

“Protesters chant ‘Allahu Akbar’ in Jakarta after Indonesia condemns Macron for linking terror to Islam, while 50,000 gather in Bangladesh as worldwide rage over cartoons continues,” by Jack Newman, Mailonline, November 2, 2020:

Protests against Emmanuel Macron have continued across the Muslim world in the wake of his comments over depictions of the Prophet Mohammed.

In Jakarta, more than 2,000 demonstrators wearing white Islamic robes gathered in front of the French embassy to express their outrage, and burned an effigy of the French President.

Meanwhile in Bangladesh, at least 50,000 people took part in the biggest demonstration yet over Macron’s remarks defending the controversial cartoons.

A rally which started at Bangladesh’s biggest mosque was stopped from getting close to the French embassy where security has been stepped up.

Police estimated some 50,000 people took part in the protest, which demanded a boycott of French products, while organisers said there were more than 100,000.

Protesters chanted ‘No defamation of the Prophet Mohammed’ and burned an effigy of the French leader.

Macron sparked protests across the Muslim world after the murder last month of teacher Samuel Paty – who had shown his class a cartoon of Mohammed – by saying France would never renounce its laws permitting blasphemous caricatures.

The third major anti-France demonstration in Bangladesh in the past week was called by Hefazat-i-Islami, one of the biggest radical Muslim political groups in the country of 160 million people.

Many people came from towns outside Dhaka to take part in the rally.

Junaid Babunagaori, the firebrand deputy chief of Hezafat, called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to move the Bangladesh parliament to condemn Macron.

‘I call on traders to throw away French products. I ask the UN to take stern action against France,’ he told the rally.

In Jakarta, authorities blocked streets leading to the embassy where more than 1,000 police and soldiers were deployed in and around the building barricaded with razor wire.

The protesters chanted ‘God is Great’ and ‘Boycott French products’ as they marched. Their banners and placards slammed Macron, and some protesters stomped on Macron posters in the blocked streets.

Smaller protests also occurred in other Indonesian cities, including in Surabaya, Makassar, Medan and Bandung.

On Saturday, Indonesian President Joko Widodo strongly condemned terrorist attacks in Paris and Nice as well as remarks by Macron that were deemed offensive toward Islam and Muslims.

At a national memorial for a teacher who was beheaded near Paris last month, Macron said the teacher ‘was the victim of a conspiracy of stupidity, hate, lies … hate of the other … hate of what we profoundly are.’

Widodo said freedom of expression that tarnishes the honor, sanctity and sacredness of religious values and symbols could not be justified and must be stopped.

‘Linking religion with terrorist acts is a big mistake,’ Widodo said. ‘Terrorism is terrorism, terrorists are terrorists, terrorism has nothing to do with any religion.’…

Exactly. There is a reason Muslim nations most likely to demonstrate in mass have a lousy economy. Life revolves around Islam which, like government, produces nothing.

52,000 hysterical useful idiots. This reflects Mohammed’s cynical strategy from the very start – appeal to the innate superstition and base instincts of the uneducated masses because they’ll be too ignorant and easily manipulated to recognise an unprincipled fraud posturing in front of them..

Ah, yes. Macron is “a Satan” and will “pay a high price” per these signs for defending freedom of speech, but beheading teachers and shooting cartoonists to death is perfectly Halal.

    God, I hate Islam.

Muslims do not see the irony in this. Westerners do not understand why they do not.

Only one of these viewpoints is sane, of course. The problem of the sane West is that you cannot reason with a lunatic, and the only plan our governments have is ‘reasonable’ discourse and appeasement.

I don’t think appeasment works with rabid dogs, the criminally insane, or muslims.

Muslims are not expected to have opinions of their own. They are expected to submit. The numbers in these “rallies” reflect the instructions from the mosques (and the anticipated beatings meted out for not attending). Maududi explained:.

“No one can regard any field of his affairs as personal and private. The Islamic State bears a kind of resemblance to the Fascist and Communist states.”

    Why only Western?

How about Eastern, Asian or South Asian officials?

With its hugh population of Mulsims in India how many crowds of comparable size have we seen protesting against the supposed “hijacking” of the peaceful religion of Islam by jihad terrorists? ( Muslims in India like to say that they are different from Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh.)

    Yes right, never.

To the Muslim world’s chagrin, we in Dar al Harb have no obligation to respect their beliefs or to comply with their laws. And they need to be told so at every opportunity.

We can tell them as much as we like, but in the delusion of the average muslim’s fantasy world the only laws which matter are allah’s. They need to be shown that our laws must be followed and that there are sanctions – real sanctions – for non-compliance. Excessive tolerance will be our undoing.

The Western World uses words against islam, but islam uses swords against the Western World.
Ever hear of the saying… Dont bring a knife to a gun fight.
There is NO way the West can deal which such backward people who blindly follow what some silly old fart in a turban tells them to think, the best we can do is stop them entering Western Nations, stop sending them money, and boycott everything that comes out of any islamic country as Im sure the French will not notice the low sales of Wine and Cheese coming out of islamic Nations.

I’m glad to see Widodo has finally aligned himself with my view that Islam is not a religion but rather a grouping of psychotic losers who want nothing more than to kill off the world’s population in a specific order: Jews, Christians, other unbelievers, ex-muslims, not-so-muslim muslims, etc.

What you see here are the beauties of brainwashing and indoctrination, pure indoctrinated fanaticism
Those members of this cult who speak/ publish such bad things about us the infidels in their books, and what they should do to us and what should become of us and how to treat us, are offended by cartoons from us of the one who wrote all those aggressive insulting things about US!
    Whose Sovereignty?
    Whose Law?
    Whose Freedom of Speech?
Who do they think that they are?
So who protects those who don’t want any more to do with Islam from Islam?
Who protects those who don’t believe in Islam from Islam?
Who protects those who speak against Islam from Islam?

What you see here is the Islamic storm troopers in action.

Islam is the same old song and dance of POWER and CONTROL from a small group of islamic wannabe dictators around the world. Islam and terrorist are the same thing. How many non islamic terror acts can you name from the past 20yrs. Lets call Islam what it is, terrorism and dictatorship type rule and control of the countries and people that islam controls.

Islam believes and promotes SLAVERY, CHILD MARRIAGE’S OF YOUG GIRLS, VIOLENCE, HONOR MURDER, WIFE BEATING, BEHEADINGS AND STONING’S OF GAY’S.

What other religion promotes these actions and encourages it’s followers to commit these atrocities?

What’s a Muhammed cartoon? Isn’t it nothing more than idolatry? I thought Muslims didn’t believe in committing idolatry.
