Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Bangladesh: Catholic bishop says that Muhammad cartoons are ‘an unforgivable injustice’

Nov 7, 2020 5:00 pm By Robert Spencer 88 Comments

Submission and surrender in response to violent threats only encourages more violent threats.

“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)

“President Cancels Prelate on Mocking Islam,” by Jules Gomes, ChurchMilitant.com, November 5, 2020:

PARIS (ChurchMilitant.com) – A prominent French bishop is bowing to Islam’s blasphemy law and defending censorship of cartoons of Muhammad following the slaughter of three Catholics in Nice’s Notre-Dame Basilica by a Muslim jihadi.

Arguing that the French republic’s value of “fraternity” is stronger than its values of “liberty or equality,” Toulouse archbishop Robert Jean Louis Le Gall, O.S.B. is insisting on “limits to freedom of expression because of the claims of fraternity.”

The archbishop’s remarks on radio France Bleu Occitanie broadcast Friday has sparked outrage among French Catholics and secularists who are comparing the prelate’s acquiescence to Islam’s blasphemy law with French President Emmanuel Macron’s uncompromising refusal to surrender to Islamic Sharia….

“Archbishop Robert Le Gall is signaling that violent intimidation works and that means he is only going to get more of it,” world-renowned Islamic expert Robert Spencer told Church Militant.

“If France at any point in the future becomes a Sharia state that enforces blasphemy laws and subjugates Christians as second-class and inferior, Robert Le Gall can stand up and take a bow,” noted Spencer, author of the newly-published Mass Migration in Europe: A Model for the U.S.?, which exposes Muslim no-go zones in France.

Spencer explained:

By encouraging threats meant to enforce Sharia blasphemy laws, Le Gall is doing all he can to bring about such a France. In doing so, he is pulling against President Macron, who has made it abundantly clear he will defend France as a free society that protects free speech. Future generations may regard the agnostic Macron as a greater defender of the Faith than Abp. Le Gall, whose submission and surrender would condemn future generations of Catholics to precarious lives of cowering before their Sharia-enforcing overlords.

In his radio interview, Le Gall insisted that people do not “have the right to insult religions” and “religions cannot be mocked, (because) we see the results.”

The archbishop said that cartoons of Muhammad “are considered an insult to Muslims and Christians alike and they should not be spread further,” when asked if it was right for the caricatures to be shown to schoolchildren.

“Sometimes we put fuel on the fire through Charlie Hebdo cartoons,” he commented, “because these cartoons are against Muslims, but they are also against the Christian religion.”

“Religions are not made fun of with impunity. We cannot afford to make fun of religions; we see the results of this,” he reiterated….

However, the prelate’s critics were quick to note that Le Gall has until now never condemned blasphemies against Christianity or Judaism in the French media….

Other bishops joined in the anti-free speech chorus against the cartoons. “Freedom of expression ‘is sacred in France,'” said Bp. André Marceau of Nice, “but this does not mean that we must support the spread of vulgar and offensive cartoons, such as those made on Islam and the Catholic Church by Charlie Hebdo.”

“How can the quintessence of the French spirit reside in vulgarity and malevolence? By laughing sarcastically at what matters most to another citizen, are we putting ourselves on an equal footing?” asked Abp. Jean Legrez of Albi. “Freedom of expression should never make fun of the respect due to the beliefs of others.”

Vice president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Bangladesh (CBCB) Bp. Gervas Rozario said Charlie Hebdo “has committed an unforgivable injustice by publishing caricatures of Prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam.”…

I am sure that Archbishop Robert Le Gall would be seeing things quite differently if his head had just been removed from his neck by a Muslim enthusiast.

Don’t forget that in a totalitarian organisation like the Church of Rome promotion can only be achieved by pleasing the Leader.
There is a good chance this prelate is hoping for promotion. He may even be hoping the Pope will notice the fuss he is causing and look favourably on it.
The assumption is usually made that Priests of God must be good men. Some of them most certainly are good men. And some of them are, sad to say, narcissists.

Actually, there are lots of Catholic clerics who don’t agree with the Pope on all matters. This is more likely dhimmitude than kowtowing to the current pontiff.

Yeah right. If the Bangladeshi Archbishop criticised Islam in any way he would be a dead man. This is the harsh reality of non-Muslims living in the Islamic world who dare to criticise Islam.

We ex-Muslms living with Islam’s formal and informal death penalty for apostasy know that the cult of Mohammedanism is a deadly fraud.

Qur’an 033:021: “There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often.”

Here is a recent statement from a group of Bangladeshi apostates living in the UK explaining the reasons why they have abandoned Islam:

“One who claims to be a messenger of God is expected to live a saintly life. He must not be given to lust, he must not be a sexual pervert, and he must not be a rapist, a highway robber, a war criminal, a mass murderer or an assassin. One who claims to be a messenger of God must have a superior character. He must stand above the vices of the people of his time. Yet Muhammad’s life is that of a gangster godfather. He raided merchant caravans, looted innocent people, massacred entire male populations and enslaved the women and children. He raped the women captured in war after killing their husbands and told his followers that it is okay to have sex with their captives (Qur’an 33:50). He assassinated those who criticized him and executed them when he came to power and became de facto despot of Arabia. Muhammad was bereft of human compassion. He was an obsessed man with his dreams of grandiosity and could not forgive those who stood in his way…”

      The statement continues,

“Muhammad was a narcissist, like Hitler, Saddam or Stalin. He was astute and knew how to manipulate people, but his emotional intelligence was less evolved than that of a 6-year-old child. He simply could not feel the pain of others. He brutally massacred thousands of innocent people and pillaged their wealth. His ambitions were big and as a narcissist he honestly believed he is entitled to do as he pleased and commit all sorts of crimes and his evil deeds are justified.”

The only unforgivable sin (unforgivable injustice) is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 12:31) And blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is unrepentance. It makes sense that God does not forgive one who is not repentent. Bp. Gervas Rozario is point-blank wrong. Insulting Islam or Mohammed is not a sin, at all. It does not require repentance. That is because Mohammed was a false prophet and a greedy, violent, perverted man. And Islam is an anti-Christian, false, man-made “religion,” that worships Satan. (Allah is Satan, as per his descriptions in the Quran.) I think it Allah is also the “god of fortresses” mentioned in Daniel 11:38. Allah is really Satan, as you can learn from reading his descriptions in the Quran.

One archbishop claimed, “Freedom of expression should never make fun of the respect due to the beliefs of others.”

The beliefs of others are not necessarily deserving of respect. In western countries, people have the right to believe whatever they like – but only if that belief is not harmful to others or contrary to the law. When a religion like Islam calls on its followers to murder those it deems ‘unbelievers’, it deserves no respect whatsoever and should be banned as a threat to public order and national security.

The Quran should not be ban it is part of the proof that Islam is a violent religion .Moslems would like it to be ban from unbelievers reading it using the Quran to point out massive contradictions ,and violent commands the followers must obey. Banning books even really bad ones ,especial when they could be used as evidence of violent peoples motives and beliefs.

Agree, wpm, banning the Quran from the eyes of non-beleivers that may uncover the verses of warfare and jihad killing is precisely the reason Islam bans free speech about Islam and since the verses commands killing of those who expose facts,( or insults) what they want hidden and deny. I seriously doubt they would not have still been offended in Paris just by exposing the beliefs, without the cartoon that is always called ridiculethat offends polite people who are clueless but exposing the verses or commands for muslims is worst than a cartoon. Public libraries have religious sections Qurans were also there in English…along with sharia law, Reliance of the Traveler (think Islam migration). It may be more difficult to find but a few years back it was available. In fact the letters or writings of OsamaBin Ladin were tucked away, and yes he wanted to bring Islam to America……after terrorizing American cities in big and small episodes. Saudi Arabia to protect itself denied connection but the money trail did not, not the origin. Most library books front and center have the fantasy version they are very committed to fooling libraians and some political leaders and those who act for a living. I give credit to Macron even if he tones it down, he is surrounded now as the deception by imams worked for free passage to take France.

Agreed–if the Qur’an were banned it would only be law-abiding Infidels who would not read it. We’d never be able to find out what Islam has in store for us–and Qur’nic scholars like Robert Spencer would likely be arrested.

I am opposed to banning the Quran. People NEED to be able to read this book and understand precisely what is in it.

I do favor a ban on Islam and Moslems in the western world, though.

Moslems are NOT a good source to learn about Islam, as they tend to lie about the true nature of their religion. I have said this before and will continue to say it.

Jesus Christ…the only ***real****authority on what is Christian, what is forgivable and unforgivable said, “All sins are forgiven….except one.” He spoke of the sin against the Holy Spirit…that is knowingly…knowingly…sinning against God’s Spirit, such as the Pharisees were doing in calling Christ by their name for satan and attributing His works and miracles as being from the power of the devil… instead of as being by Holy Spirit, which they were.

This fool who says mocking the fake religion of moslims..a.k.a. islam is “unforgivable” should read what Jesus had to say and then make a retraction. If he does not…perhaps he has committed the ***real*** and ***only*** unforgivable sin.

And again, this le gall does not speak for Christianity. No one can really speak for another person. That is why in the U.S. there is the Law of the Power of Attorney. The Bible says each one must answer for his own sins, must show faith, carry his own load… but so many “leaders” in the churches take it upon themselves to speak for others, to speak for “Christians…this or that…”

If only they would just stick to what Jesus Christ said, quote Him and leave out the foolishness and lies, we would all be better off. Christians wouldn’t be slandered and libeled so often; and non-Christians wouldn’t be as likely to blame us for things we don’t do or believe.

There is no “right” not to be insulted for one’s belief. Jesus was insulted; His Apostles were insulted satan the devil even called the Most High God, the Creator of everything, a *liar.* (to Eve in the garden.)

God and His Son have the Divine authority to deal with those who insult them or insult those to whom they give protection and have made promises.

One cannot tell the Truth about God and His Son and still show respect…**honor** islam does not deserve,,, to moslims and their insane, evil demands.

Bishop Rozario’s remark is funny and it is worth reading it closely: he is condemning the vulgarity of Charlie Hebdo (they are filthy) and says that islam was founded by Muhammad (piss be upon him). That is a terrible insult to islam because islam, according to islam, was founded by allah. A bishop in an islamic country definitely knows that.

People who say stuff like this about evil Islam must surely know absolutely nothing about islam’s nature and the vile content of that evil religion. In Robert Spencer’s book “The History of Jihad” I can remember that there were Popes who called Islam an evil religion. They must have actually known a bit about its vicious nature, about how it slaughters so many innocent people for not being Muslims, along with all the other barbaric crap that islam condones. Those church leaders, who called out islam as being evil, are the ones I would listen to. The clergyman in this report is a fool. I consider islam to be as evil as Nazism. I’m sure even the fool in this report would see Nazism as evil and would not say that we can’t have cartoons mocking Hitler. I don’t know how Islam gets away with it. I suppose, even though Islam is evil, because it calls itself a religion, you get fools such as this church leader saying that we must not criticise vile islam. Absolutely pathetic. This church leader should denounce the evils of Islam not protect islam.

        Bonjour,

I think that we are not face with the Stockholm syndrome.
The pope certainly expresses concern about the impact of the Mohammed cartoons on the Eastern Christians. Therefore he cannot say he approved the action by Charlie Hebdo that republished the cartoons.
The archbishops fear the retaliation and fear an escalation in the level of violence to Christians if they are silent about this subject.
Like all Catholics they believe in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thanks for the comments. These Christians, and especially the supposed leaders of the Christian churches, who are meant to know a bit about the things that they make statements about, such as islam in this case, annoy me with their ignorance. Islam is a rotten, stinking religion and it should be criticised. To me, some of these church leaders seem to say, Islam is a religion, so show it respect. What nonsense that is. Some religions deserve respect and others, islam being the main one, don’t deserve respect or protection at all. Fortunately there are some Christians who do see what an evil religion islam is. They are worth listening to. I think of Robert Spencer as one such person, ( among many others) an expert on islam’s nature and a Christian. These other clowns do a lot of damage because I suppose some people do take heed of the rubbish they say, and I include the present Pope, with his views on islam, among them.

When they know the Truth, but lie to save their “soul”…their life…they should recall what Jesus said, “He who tries to save his soul, will lose it. But he who loses his soul for my sake, will find it.”

They are committing the sin that Jesus warned about when they lie, equate islam with ***anything*** holy…and by this , the guy equated it with God’s Holy Spirit…in an effort to stay alive rather than to have faith, tell the Truth and trust in the power of the resurrection so that if they lose their life, they will “find it,” by God’s power.

By trying to “save their soul” in this way, they are forfeiting all chances of eternal life, and it may not do them a bit of good as the moslims won’t ‘respect’ their lies and allow them to keep living.
It’s a ‘lose-lose’ when they turn coward and lie.

I keep thinking that one of the main tasks for the leaders of various Christian churches is to be fearless in calling things that are evil, which I believe islam is in so many quite obvious ways, evil. To my mind these types of religious leaders are derelict in one of the major tasks of their calling, or their vocation as I recall that we Catholics used to refer to it. Probably like you, I can’t equate Islam with anything good or holy and so I say we should make no concessions to it at all.

          Thank you, tim gallagher,

We have Jesus as our example. He was “perfect,”so some may give this as an excuse for why they can’t do as He did. But, His Apostles and disciples…such as Stephen…gave up their life before they would deny the Truth and attempt to save themselves.
Peter was even told by Jesus that he would be put to death, James was “killed by the sword,” and others too. Just as Isaiah was said to have been murdered for his faith.

Faith is necessary. And Jesus said if we lack faith, ask our heavenly Father for it and He will give it freely. We can’t allow fear to rule us. We must not give in to it and lose everything. “What use is it to gain the whole world but lose our soul”?
And, we shouldn’t “hold back” the Truth from anyone, even if they threaten us with harm. Like Peter and John said, “We must obey God as rule, rather than men.”

This bishop speaks from of a very different country than France. Over there is a growing believe in sharia laws, which means a growing amount of people believe that they have the right and duty to enforce those laws.
Of course, if the bishop of Bangladesh is a member of Amnesty, by which he would have bought his salvation and is free of sins, he undoubtedly would have spoken that those satirical cartoons are just to laughing matter. If so, then I estimate that the backlash against his tiny flock of Christians in Bangladesh would have been horrific.

Bangladesh: Catholic bishop says that Muhammad cartoons are ‘an unforgivable injustice’
    ……………

Notice this dhimmi tool doesn’t say that beheading a peaceful teacher is an unforgivable injustice.

And Muslims in Bangladesh insult Christianity all the time–that apparently isn’t an unforgivable injustice.

Exactly! But moslems get away with insults, beatings, robbery, rape and murder, and why?
Because ALL non-moslems let them! In fact all our ‘leaders’ are terrified of the rabble-rousing, permanently offended, murderous troglodytes.

Agreed, gravenimage. Muslims insult other faiths with great regularity and are actual threats to people of other faiths. Rather like the modern Western Left being replete with hate and a proclivity toward violence.

Well, Islam and Leftism are totalitarian systems and such systems cannot tolerate “the other.” Has gotten so bad here in America that assholes like Robert Reich, Keith Olbermann and AOC want lists drawn up of Trump supporters—this has totalitarianism written all over it.

Bangladesh today. Demonstration all over the country by 10% of the people (Hindus, Buddhists and Christians together) that “corrupt the country” (Quran). These minorities ask the government to uphold the constitution apart that they complain that they are attacked and excommunicated, since their identity hurts the feelings of Muslims.
        https://www.thedailystar.net/city/news/its-unexpected-unfortunate-1991093

They ask to uphold the constutution? From many experiences in Western Europa one might be able to deduce by now that one thing imams and Muslims wipe their asses first with, is constitutions, apart from the Saudi one.

Basically the Bangladesh government is also trying to survive between the rising hordes of pious Muslims that throw their violent and deadly tantrums around, being infuriated by Imams in mosques and teachers in madrassas: “No, no, sure, those cartoons are no good, like me, but may I live for a while still?”

If the Mohammed cartoons are an ‘unforgiveable injustice’ then so is any political cartoon. Mohammed was a Dark Age ‘warlord’ (= politicised organised crime boss in modern parlance) with grandiose political ambitions that required the fabrication of a pseudo-religious scam involving presenting himself as a ‘Prophet’ to dupe the masses. If these recent cartoons effectively blow his cover, then it’s 1,400 years overdue, and the reason why we’re getting this hysterical reaction is because the cartoons hit the nail on the head. As for “religions cannot be mocked, (because) we see the results”, the ‘results’ in this case seem to be the same as ‘being ‘taken care of’ by Al Capone’s stooges for standing up to the ‘Godfather’.

Is that why images of the “The Prophet” are forbidden?

Also, are there any actual descriptions of his physical appearance?

Historical descriptive evidence is always lacking it seems and so we end up, for example,
with a Jesus in a flowing pink negligee, gorgeous wavy brown hair, and a (neatly trimmed) beard, nonchalantly tending exquisite little white lambs prancing in a green terraformed Holy Land while rehearsing his bit for The European Song Contest.
Why are humans so prone to be hypnotised by these weird institutions of nonsense as if they were newly born chicks imprinted by the first silly thing that came along. 5000 people and we have only two loaves and five fishes? -no problem i will just multiply that (ding!) but it will be only bread rolls and sardines I’m afraid.
Fat bishops, Bible Bashers, TeleEvangelists: “And Jesus said…send to my anointed vicar $50 for printed copies of his sermons or $100 for the gold embossed deluxe edition.” And they did send, they did send all their hard earned wages,,,Lambs to the slaughter. Imprinted.

Quite agree with you about the frequent ludicrous distortions of Jesus’ likely appearance.

We don’t know what he looked like. But Jesus was a man who worked from boyhood chopping down trees, hauling tree trunks, and sawing timber. Was he likely to have had an epicene physique ?

He is described as a carpenter, but doubtless his work assisting his father also deserves a more modern sort of terminology: “lumberjack”.

The so-called “Shroud of Turin”, if genuine, suggests Jesus was 1-79cm tall and weighed about 79 kilos. His lean body had well-developed and defined musculature and an almost complete absence of body fat.

If Jesus hadn’t been an extremely fit man he would not have survived the ruthless lashing by Roman soldiers, a form of torture which killed some people.

(Arent they ever so ceaselessly insulted by Mussles for not belonging to or wanting to join their cult?)
I myself found the cartoons tasteless. They are not funny, they are just cheap and insulting, except for the muhamed with the bomb turban. That one IS funny. But that is a matter of taste.

Chrissie, the Mohamed with the bomb in his turban is one of the Danish cartoons, not something from Charlie Hebdo. I agree that most offerings from the latter are indeed often tasteless; but I still defend their right to product them.

And Muslims certainy make no distiction over the tastefulness of the cartoons.

Non muslims use words to speak about islam, muslims answer back with violence.
If I tell a muslim guy that I think his religion is very violent and he then attacks me very violently for saying that, is he being a good muslim for proving my point?.
Whatever you believe, regarding whether god is, or isnt, comes from inside your head, your mind, your opinion, so if somebody suggests that this is merely thought and has no “real” substance then this merely means the mind is different in such beliefs, but to actually kill somebody because they call a certain religion a fascist religious cult simply tells me just how shallow they are in their faith as surely my opinion of your faith cannot be THAT important… can it?>

Before entering into any form of ” religious out reach” by the mosques, the Christian and Jewish or any other reilgious leaders, especially Popes, should exacty know why they have been invited to be influenced, they have been chosen. To dissolve a country they choose police, universities and religious leaders who political leaders listen to, for influence to be first decieved, so the Pentagon can be a hidden target for influence by Imans. They are very clever and truly know how to speak in non threatening tones or words, but know exactly what they after, even if it takes many years of smiling soft speak by omission.

Bangladesh is Islamic and religious intolerance runs high. Thus bishops comment is out of love for his own life and not on principles of live and let live and freedom. Had he been in India his sermon would’ve about how Hindu Gods are devils and stone creations that are lifeless. And he will get away. So thus is the difference in realities

A remark unfortunately only too typical by representatives of non-Islamic religions because they are afraid of seeing their own nests ‘defeathered’ in some way (tax benefits, ability to launder money, etc. all gone). It is nothing but disgusting if only for the reason that they imply that Islam is a religion, and just like all others to boot.

Archbishop you are a fool stating that fraternity is a stronger value that liberty and equality. This is patently wrong in in the context of Islam as Islam forbids Muslims to have friendships with Christians and Jews “because they are friends with each other”.

As bishop you are supposed to have time on your hand to read books. If you had spent your time wisely you would have found out that Islam can only claim to be a religion because of its unsubstantiated claim to be an Abrahamic religion. Nevertheless it turns around to blaspheme Christianity in everything that matters. Christ being God and part of the trinity, his sacrificial death on the cross, his resurrection etc. These core Christian beliefs are mocked in the Koran which on top of it commands the Muslims to persecute, exploit, denigrate and kill Christians.

That this evil is not only something academic or reserved for the “Fundamentalist Islamists” is sadly to learn every day in the news media in spite of the fact that they tend to look the other way when it comes to Muslim evil.

I would expect you to be concerned about the rampant “Love Jihad” which is an ongoing evil perpetrated against Christian girls in Muslim hellholes like Pakistan. Apparently you are not concerned about that as you are not concerned about the situation where the Christians are to tolerate Islamic blasphemy but are also under pressure to submit to Shari’a in respect of showing respect for an alleged prophet who broke all laws in the book including crime against humanity and war crimes. You appear to have no problems with the freedom of religion going out of the window either. You have apparently no concern that apostate Muslims who find Christ as their Lord and Saviour are considered apostates which under Shari’a carries the death penalty.

Archbishop, you appear to be more concerned about pleasing your pope Francis than to act as a good shepherd following Christ’s Commission to St Peter. You act in a way which is politically correct putting priority on “dialogue” with the wolves than caring for the sheep you have been entrusted by Jesus Christ himself. Your sheep are being slaughtered and mailed every day and you don’t raise your voice to stop it.

Archbishop you have abdicated your role as a shepherd. You are not only a foolish Archbishop but you are an evil one as well!

Time is short Archbishop, repent and turn to Christ and protect and preach his gospel and forget about conducting diplomacy with the evil one.
