Last Friday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated that the freedom of expression was “not without limits,” and should not “arbitrarily and needlessly hurt” certain communities. This was appalling, as the context of Trudeau’s comments suggested that the beheading of French teacher Samuel Paty for showing a Muhammad cartoon was justified.
In response, Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet took Trudeau to task. Blanchet stated in a tweet that Trudeau’s response to the jihad attacks in France “did not go far enough, and highlighted what the Bloc leader called a ‘disturbing gap’ in values that he chalked up to possible ‘weakness’ or ‘ideology’ on the prime minister’s part.”
More specifically, Blanchet said that Trudeau’s comments “suggested ‘extenuating circumstances’ might explain some acts of terrorism,” a dangerous stance for a free country’s Prime Minister to take. No insult to anyone’s sensibilities could ever justify such violence.
The Bloc Québécois leader further stated that Trudeau’s comments are “threatening Quebec’s friendship with France.” Trudeau’s comment extends beyond the relationship between Quebec and France. His comments threaten free society itself. The freedom of expression, including freedom to offend, is the hallmarks of any free society. Such freedom is absent from Sharia states.
“Blanchet seeks to drive values wedge between Quebec and Trudeau government,” Canadian Press, November 2, 2020:
Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet is doubling down on efforts to draw a line separating his party’s values from those of the Trudeau Liberals — particularly on the fraught ground of free speech.
Blanchet posted a tweet Sunday suggesting Justin Trudeau’s response to attacks in France that authorities have attributed to Muslim extremists did not go far enough, and highlighted what the Bloc leader called a “disturbing gap” in values that he chalked up to possible “weakness” or “ideology” on the prime minister’s part.
Blanchet said in French that Trudeau is threatening Quebec’s friendship with France. He’s sought to align his province with that country’s “republican and secular” principles, contrasting them with what he called an “Anglo-Saxon multiculturalist doctrine.”
The stern words compound Blanchet’s criticism of the prime minister’s reaction to a University of Ottawa professor’s use of a notoriously derogatory word for Black people in class.
Last week, Trudeau condemned the attacks in France as “heinous” acts of terrorism that fly in the face of Canadian values and said Ottawa “would always defend freedom of expression, but freedom of expression is not without limits.”
“In a pluralistic, diverse and respectful society like ours, we must be aware of the impact of our words, of our actions on others, particularly these communities and populations who still experience enormous discrimination,” Trudeau told reporters in French on Friday.
At a press conference today, Blanchet argued that Trudeau’s comments suggested “extenuating circumstances” might explain some acts of terrorism.
“My duty is to tell our sisters and brothers and friends in France that Quebec does not share this opinion being expressed by the prime minister of Canada,” Blanchet said….
At his press conference today, Blanchet accused the Trudeau government of being slow to condemn the attacks….

Jihadi Justin is slip-sliding moral relativist in bed with the Muslim Brotherhood. He is indeed ‘weak’ in thought. He has absolutely no moral philosophy. He is simply an opportunist and an elitist who believes rules are made for other people. He never had a real job. Two women do his job for him at present. He was so incompetent as a teacher that they created a project for him to coach children preparing the yearbook.
He has no idea about what the ‘right to offend’ means nor why that is the basis of our freedom nor why Canadians shed a river of blood fighting for it.

Trudeau is of the go-along-to-get-along variety who assumes he can re-align his spine to accommodate those who demand freedom from ridicule and criticism of certain core precepts of their religion, extorting bribes — “jizya” — to not engage in violent retaliation. As with all such spineless wonders he assumes this will never become a life-or-death issue for him as long as he bows and scrapes, and defends the Bully against “words that hurt” — leaving those at risk of bodily harm or death by the defenders of Islam without protection.

Trudeau seems to be a novice, his stance is away from realities of cruelty of sunni salafi radical islam.
Right from its inception islamists are busy in killing non muslims. For the foolish belief that so called Ola is great and the paedophile who raped a 7 year old girl and then he also forced his son to divorce his wife so that the paedophile could sleep with her too.
The islamic conquest of spain and the subsequent brutality of the masses there is unparalleled in history.
India has been facing radical jihad for last 1200 years, around 80 million hindus were murdered by the jihadis, lakhs of temples were broken, this is the most dangerous holocaust quite forgotten by modern civilization.
Islamists are a curse to human civilization. Nigeria, Afghanistan, Somalia, Pakistan, Syria, central Asia, north Africa, Bangladesh all have become hotbeds of jihad, people of other religions are living life considered worse than hell there. From these countries now the islamists are moving to Europe and North America, the ongoing slaughter of common citizens in these two continents will rise to new threatening levels as the muslim population would increase because of foolishness of so called liberal policies followed by foolish politicians of these continents. No amount of appeasement and concession can stop islamists, it can be seen in many European countries where people are learning how to adjust with islamists. Expulsion of islamists is the only way to keep these continents safe.

Canada speech laws already include a prohibition to solicit murder or genocide or to solicit harm to a group.
We wish to discuss and critique the totalitarian IDEOLOGY of Islam.

The ever limp and spineless trudeau (lower-case ‘t’).
Here’s to Yves-Francois Blanchet.
Clearly a man of rare substance in a radically politically correct world.
However, by the same token trudeau is probably afraid of forfeiting his own head in the event of standing up for Western freedoms.
As I said: spineless.
Canada is v likely a hop, skip and a leap from Sharia Law.

Here’s more heartening stuff from Blanchet:
“Should Muslim immigrants be banned from entering the country until the government improves its ability to screen out potential terrorists?”

Canada: Bloc Québécois leader slams Trudeau’s response to jihad attacks in France
…………………….
Kudos to Yves-François Blanchet for speaking out here!

They tried to say that it was NOT a clash of civilizations. Well, guess what it is now? Mass madness and mass cowardice before Islam. Let it be said clearly: if they think they have a right to strike at my neck when my tongue says what it says, then it has even more of a right to say what it wants to say.

No one should be surprised at the dear leader’s reaction. He said, when he was elected in 2015, that Canada was the first post-modern nation; that is, that it had no core values when he really meant he had none. While he was in opposition, he expressed his admiration for the way in which the Chinese had set up their society. What he is really concerned about is saying something to keep the Moslems in Toronto from voting for another party. It’s all about votes. That’s the only value that counts.

‘Ottawa “would always defend freedom of expression, but freedom of expression is not without limits.”’
Macron obviously got Trudeau’s message because the former drew up a list to thank those who gave heart-felt support for his newfound distaste for Islamofascism. Absent from that list was mealy-mouthed Trudeau. The premier of Quebec, however, was on the list. Even the MSM, who cannot be bought for a mere $595,000,000 on a one-time basis, questioned Trudeau on the matter. He replied that Canada and France have a warm relationship which, obviously, does not extend to their leaders.
Giacomo Latta says
I should have added the following.
It has taken a comparison to Trudeau for me to say: good on you, Macron.

Trudeau oh to kiss the ass of the muslim/islamics. What a mistake these weak leaders are making, the muslim world see’s the weakness and will take advantage of it.
