Macron’s going to have his hands full, rushing from here to there to explain to various jihadis how their understanding of Islam is “distorted.”
“France: Algerian Jailed for Killing a Woman and Trying to Bomb a Church in Paris,” Associated Press, November 6, 2020:
LYON, France (AP) — A Paris criminal court sentenced a 29-year-old Algerian man Thursday to life in prison for killing a woman and trying to bomb a church near the French capital in a failed 2015 attack that investigators said was plotted by Islamic State group extremists in Syria.
The court imposed the sentence after a jury convicted Sidi Ahmed Ghlam on charges of murder and attempted terrorist murder. The life sentence allows no chance for parole for at least 22 years.
Ghlam testified at his trial that at the time of the alleged crimes he had “embraced” IS ideology. He expressed regret over choosing that path, but denied killing the woman outside the church in the Paris suburb of Villejuif. He was arrested after shooting himself in the leg and calling an ambulance.
Ghlam’s sponsors in Syria were believed to be linked to major deadly attacks in France that year, including one at a kosher supermarket in January and the almost simultaneous attacks on the Bataclan concert hall, Paris cafes and the national stadium on Nov. 13, 2015.
France has faced three more Islamic extremist attacks in recent weeks, and is again on high alert for acts of terrorism.
Ghlam’s lawyer, Jean-Hubert Portejoie, pledged to appeal the verdict, saying the jury “ruled on a rush of emotion, and under the pressure of public opinion, but not based on law.”
The defendant was on the radar of Algerian and French authorities for his proximity to IS operatives before the failed April 2015 bombing plot at the centre of his conviction.
He testified about his interactions with the operatives, but he denied killing fitness instructor Aurélie Chatelain outside the church, blaming a mysterious accomplice who was never found. Ghlam’s DNA was found in Chatelain’s car.
He said he intentionally shot himself in the leg because he had second thoughts about the attack and didn’t want to suffer reprisals from his IS backers. Investigators said Ghlam had to give up attacking the church after accidentally shooting himself while trying to put his weapon back in his belt….

He might radicalize some men in prison.

True–hence the line about his geting life of prison Da’wa.
Muslims in prison should be kept in isolation away from other prisoners.
Joss says
Kept in isolation, with no copy of the Koran, and no imam visits – for life!
keith O says
Joss, you forgot the steady diet of pork and nothing but the born again Christian TV channels.
Simon says
The prison situation in the UK is particularly dire as regards radicalisation of young Muslim men… I ve seen more than enough nasty young thugs , from a Muslim family , go into prison and emerge as nasty young jihadists. The prison system in UK is not fit for purpose.

France: Muslim migrant gets life of prison dawah for killing a woman and trying to bomb a church
…………..
This is good–but grimly “life” in prison seldom means life in most of Europe.
Andrew says
Throw such scum in a hole, take all the money he has in any Bank Accounts and use it to feed him some pork and isolate him forever, no speaking and seeing any other inmates, he can have a shit smeared quran and spend the rest of his days alone, in a Cell.

‘Muslim migrant gets life of prison dawah…….’
What the hell’s ‘dawah’? Does that mean ‘evangelising’ or ‘proselytizing’ or something? So why don’t we say so? If we’re speaking English, can we please use English words (there are over a quarter million of them, much more than arabic!), or are we supposed to be learning all these arabic/islamic ‘technical terms’ to conform with the dictates of the new Mohammedan Ubermensch in our own countries? Or is the sophistication of the English language a bit beyond them?
Mark Spahn (West Seneca, NY) says
Hi Jayell. The term ‘dawah’ is adopted into English to convey not just ‘proselytizing’ but proselytizing for a particular religion (guess which one; hint: it’s not Mormonism).
Mark Spahn (West Seneca, NY) says
Can someone please explain the street sign seen in the background of the above photograph? It shows a group of four persons huddled together, with four arrows pointing inward from the corners of the sign. What does this French street sign mean? “Please huddle together to share your COVID”?

Don’t worry too much.
The feeble minded West, especially when ruled or influenced by self styled “progressives”, “liberals” and other non useful idiots, usually has a policy of “catch and release”.
It is in the nature and teachings of Islam not only to encourage orthodox adherents to commit atrocities in their fake deity, following the teachings of their plundered for profit fake prophet, but also act as a travel agency to facilitate the expedited travel of most common criminals to the imaginary mega brothel comprising their imaginary paradise by getting them to kill and even get killed in the process of plundering, raping and murdering non muslims.
They got an offer that no hardened criminal foolish enough to believe in their fake religion could refuse.
You could murder, rspe, rob, steal, take and sell drugs, indulge in alcohol, fornicate, even commit homosexuality but as long as you murder rape enslave or rob non muslims you are guaranteed admission to their (fake) paradise.
But all the Jihad ideology reveals is Muslims do not have true faith in their (fake) deity, for no omnipotent, omnipresent, eternal creator would need or want true believers to kill or maim or rob or enslave for it.

One very good way to describe this twenty –first century “War of Ideas” is that of a great a conflict and a clash between Christianity and Islam. As explained by the Christian author, William Wagner,, in his book which is entitled HOW ISLAM PLANS TO CHANGE THE WORLD had explained on page 155 about a meeting that he had with a Muslim cleric , which reads “Several years ago one Imam told me that ,prior to 1990, the greatest enemy to Islam was Communism but now it is the Christian missions.” Further, on page 208 the Wagner had written about some zealous Muslims that “They have failed to stop Christian missions. They see Christian missions as their number one enemy.” On the very next page the reader is informed that “Christianity remains the number one buffer against Islam, a fact readily recognized by those who seek a world wild ummah.” [1]
