Orbán has long declared his dedication to protecting his Christian country against mass migration and Islamization. In 2015, he said that the swarm of migrants flowing into Europe looked more “like an army.”
Orbán has been rebuked for saying that Muslim migrants must be blocked “to keep Europe Christian,” yet given the aggressive and expansionary nature of Islam and its core supremacism, Orbán is right. The determined leader now has a renewed fight with the globalist leadership in the EU on his hands. They have already referred to opponents of their agenda as “anti-democratic, or anti-rule of law.” Orbán has “explicitly invoked the mass migration issue” as the basis of his opposition to EU policy, and he is getting support from Poland and Slovenia.
Given the recent jihad attacks in France and Austria, and the new resolve to battle “political Islam,” with Austria aiming to “ban political Islam” and “shut down jihadi mosques,” Orbán will likely get further support against the EU’s pressure to force open borders, particularly from Austria and its traditional allies Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
“Hungary: EU is Trying to Punish Countries That Control Their Own Borders,” by Oliver JJ Jane, Breitbart, November 18, 2020:
Hungary’s leadership is standing by its decision to block the whole seven-year budget for the European Union over the inclusion of new powers which would, they claim, allow the political persecution of member states that don’t follow the Brussels globalist playbook on matters like mass migration.
The Hungarian and Polish governments used their veto powers to block the seven-year Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) — in other words, the EU’s budget — on Monday, having failed to prevent new clauses and rules being inserted at earlier stages of the negotiation process. While the comparatively small central European nations lacked the political clout to prevent the new rules, because they are tacked on to the overall budget which must be adopted by all member states unilaterally, the bloc essentially forced Hungary and Poland into a showdown where their choices were to accept the new controls or stop Europe’s spending altogether.
Hungary’s Viktor Orban was bullish on Wednesday when he said Europe was attempting to use a “political whip” to punish member states that refuse dto fall in line. The Associated Press reported further remarks where Prime Minister Orban explicitly invoked the mass migration issue — a longstanding area of disagreement between the EU, which has attempted to institute a mandatory migrant redistribution programme, and its conservatively minded members — as being at the heart of the dispute, and Europe’s desire to turn the screws on some members.
Orban said: “In Brussels today, they only view countries which let migrants in as those governed by the rule of law… Once this proposal gets adopted, there will be no more obstacles to tying member states’ share of common funds to supporting migration and us(ing) financial means to blackmail countries which oppose migration.”
Hungary’s justice minister — on whose brief much of these debates fall — accused Brussels of “double standards” in its discussions of the kinds of “rule of law” claims made as a justification of these rule changes. Pointing out that many European countries have legal peculiarities or far-from-perfect standards for judicial independence, Justice Minister Judit Varga said on Wednesday that the phrase rule of law was only invoked in reference to Hungary.
Earlier in the week, Varga had said that Europe’s wealthy nations, which don’t receive EU funding anyway, would be able to politically blackmail the poorer members, an infringement of sovereignty. Ultimately, she said, Hungary was under attack because the “liberal mainstream” couldn’t accept the fact an extremely popular conservative government controlled a nation in the heart of Europe….

Orban and Hungary and the rest of the Visegrad bloc countries are on the right track as opposed to the complete fuckwits from the EU when it comes to this invasion of Europe by this Muslim “refugee” army. The idiots at the EU should be learning from Hungary instead of telling Hungary to fall into line with the EU’s dumb policies.
Wellington says
Definitely, tg. You’re on target again.
You know, what is so interesting in all this is that for so many centuries Eastern Europe lagged behind Western Europe in sundry areas of human endeavor, for example in the technological sector, with another area being the expansion of liberty.
But now, Eastern Europe is putting Western Europe to shame and leading the way to a correct calculation of the nefarious creed which is Islam. Tables turned and kudos to Eastern Europe for this.
tim gallagher says
Thanks for the comment, Wellington. I would definitely prefer to live in Australia rather than Hungary or the other Visegrad bloc countries, mainly for the weather, (I can’t stand cold weather) but also because, like you, from many of your comments here at Jihad Watch, I am a great appreciator of western civilisation (and I think the USA, Australia, the UK probably represent the western way of life more than Hungary does in general terms), but, on Islam, I am 100% certain that those Visegrad countries have it right. I cannot understand why all of our western countries don’t see, by now, what an evil, barbaric ideology Islam is and keep Muslims out. There’s so much evidence by now.

As someone who lives in Eastern Europe, I can tell you that, while our economy is indeed shit compared to our Western counterparts, there is absolutely no way I would live and raise my family anywhere else other than right here. I can WORK in Western Europe, sure, but there is no way I’d actually LIVE there.
In other words, you can say that what Eastern Europe lacks in economy, it makes up for it in society. Christianity plays a big factor in our daily lives and our identity as a whole. I can confidently say this because I am in fact an atheist, but I still believe in the undeniable role Christianity has had over the course of our history to shape our society into what it is today and would be among the first ones in its (Christianity’s) line of defense.
Today, Eastern Europe remains the last bastion of a true Christian European society that made the West into what it is today. It’s sad to watch from over here how the West keeps straying further and further from its roots and keeps falling deeper and deeper into the pits of degeneracy. It genuinely breaks my heart…
tim gallagher says
Thanks for that insight into life in Central Europe, LB. Very interesting. They certainly have it right when it comes to Islam.

Good exchange.
tim gallagher says
Thanks, gravenimage. I am absolutely certain that Hungary and the Visegrad bloc countries have it right on Islam, but I am also sure that there would be many aspects of life in those countries that I would not like much, including that weather. On Islam, they are showing the world what needs to be done and they should be followed, not attacked for their sensible policies. The EU and many western countries seem intent on cultural suicide and self destruction.

Is there a light at the end of the dark, dark tunnel for Europe? I have shed tears for France and Germany and cheered for Hungary and Poland. Now my tears are for the dark, dark tunnel looming ahead in my Republic. Will America survive the next four years?

Grace,
If Biden/Harris prevails, and the Democrats prevail in the Georgia Senate runoff election, the United States – as well as the rest of the free world – will start to see the destruction of Western civilization.
And it’s likely that the destruction would be irreparable…

On Euronews they talked so negatively about Hungary and Poland. Manipulation, propaganda. They said that they harm their own people. And I know that a lot of brainwashed (west european) people believe it.
James Lincoln says
European pagan,
Perhaps the “journalists” on Euronews are secretly jealous of Hungary and Poland – and want them to share the misery that is now Western Europe…

I know a Hungarian who focuses entirely on the fact that Orban and his party have done some anti-democratic things — a tendency to monopolize media, to mess with the independence of the judiciary, to increase government control of education, and so on. When I agree with my Hungarian friend that such trends are not good, but then I go on to suggest that Orban on the positive side is protecting Hungary from Islamization in the future, my statement just seems to make no dent on my Hungarian friends’ mind. The only thing he seems to care about is Orban’s party’s tendencies toward monopolization of social and political power. However, I do not think that Orban is a dictator in waiting or a true authoritarian. I think he wants to remain as democratic as possible while holding the door shut to Islamic hijra into Hungary. There is still independent media in Hungary, and there is still internet freedom there.
I don’t think my Hungarian friend is typical for Hungarians, but neither I guess is he that unusual in not being aware of what Muslim immigration means for non-Muslims.

One can applaud Orban for his anti-Jihad stance–that does not necessarily mean agreeing with Hungary on all its policies.

Fact: Islam caused between 270 to 280 million deaths in the past 1400 years at the demand of Mohamed.
The Nazi killed 6 million Jews and others at the demand of Adolf Hitler. Stalin 20 million Russians . The Mongol hoards murdered about 180 million over a couple of centuries. Now look at the numbers and learn the history of Islam. Now tell me who is the greatest murderer of all times? Do you want those who follow this Psycho for your neighbor? What is more dangerous…the ignorance…or the mindless hateful denial of facts?

This situation reminds me of Trump’s statement “they’re coming for you, I’m just in the way”. Orban is definitely in the way of the EU’s determination for open borders and to flood Europe with African and Middle Eastern immigrants/migrants, to further their agenda of white replacement.

Hungary is doing the smart thing and keeping its Christian population safe from the violence of muslims islamic migrants. WOW what a grand idea, politicians that actually work to protect their citizens, not the MIGRANTS who want to take over your country.
Calling me an ISLAMOPHOBE is like calling me a PATRIOT, I love America and don’t want any part of islamic sharia law in this country. Islam is a battle against the freedom of choice and speech.
eduardo odraude says
If Western Europe keeps taking in more and more Muslim immigrants, many non-Muslims may start moving to the Visegrad nations. That could accelerate the transition in Western Europe to Islam.
I’m not without hope for France, the UK and the rest of Western Europe. But at some stage (2040?) a tipping point could be reached where increasing numbers of non-Muslim Western Europeans start rushing for the exits (to the US, to the Visegrad nations, etc.), and Europe is left a Muslim majority.
Infidel says
I do have reservations about Hungary: although they make the right noises when it comes to controlling immigration and supporting their native population, they are today a pretty anti-Western country in the big scheme of things.
– They are pro-China, and happy to be a part of the BRI, as well as work w/ Huawei in setting up their telecom infrastructure
– They are pro-Turkish: an associate member of the Turkic council. As for their ‘pro-Christian’ stances, they support Azerbaijan in its war w/ Armenia
In short, Hungary is very different from other Eastern European countries that have drawn the line on accepting Muslim migrants, countries such as Poland and Czech Republic
