These presentations to Western non-Muslims about how Islam really doesn’t sanction whatever abominable behavior was just committed in the name of Islam are uniformly dishonest, and designed to foster complacency in readers. Islam mandates death for non-Muslim subjects of the Islamic state who mention “something impermissible about Allah, the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), or Islam” (‘Umdat al-Salik, o11.10), and such laws are based upon passages in the Hadith and Sira in which Muhammad orders the murders of people who have insulted him.
These include Abu Afak, who was over one hundred years old, and the poetess Asma bint Marwan. Abu Afak was killed in his sleep, in response to Muhammad’s question, “Who will avenge me on this scoundrel?” Similarly, Muhammad on another occasion cried out, “Will no one rid me of this daughter of Marwan?” One of his followers, Umayr ibn Adi, went to her house that night, where he found her sleeping next to her children. The youngest, a nursing babe, was in her arms. But that didn’t stop Umayr from murdering her and the baby as well. Muhammad commended him: “You have done a great service to Allah and His Messenger, Umayr!” (Ibn Ishaq, 674-676)
Then there was Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf. Muhammad asked: “Who is willing to kill Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?” One of the Muslims, Muhammad
bin Maslama answered, “O Allah’s Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?” When Muhammad said that he would, Muhammad bin Maslama said, “Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab).” Muhammad responded: “You may say it.” Muhammad bin Maslama duly lied to Ka’b, luring him into his trap, and murdered him. (Sahih Bukhari, volume 5, book 59, number 369)
Likewise the influential fatwa site Islam QA, on a page that has now been removed, called for death for blasphemers, using both Qur’an and Hadith to make its argument. “The scholars are unanimously agreed,” the site explains, “that a Muslim who insults the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) becomes a kaafir [unbeliever] and an apostate who is to be executed. This consensus was narrated by more than one of the scholars, such as Imaam Ishaaq ibn Raahawayh, Ibn al-Mundhir, al-Qaadi ‘Iyaad, al-Khattaabi and others.”
“France attacks show Muslims’ self-inflicted paranoia. But Quran allows freedom of expression,” by Raamish Siddiqui, The Print, October 30, 2020:
Three people have been killed in a knife attack in the French city of Nice. One elderly victim, who had come to pray at the church, was “virtually beheaded”, according to reports. A suspect was shot and detained shortly afterward. Thursday’s grotesque incident comes barely days after the horrific killing of Samuel Paty, a teacher, by an 18-year-old Chechen-origin man in Paris on 16 October.
Tensions between radicals and French authorities have heightened after President Emmanuel Macron took a strong stand on tolerance and said that his country “would not give up cartoons”. The reason for Paty’s barbaric death was supposedly a class on freedom of expression in which he had shown the caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad published by the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. The cartoons were first published in 2005 by a Danish newspaper and republished by the French weekly in 2006. In the violent terror attacks in 2015, several journalists of Charlie Hebdo were murdered. This year’s harrowing incidents come amidst the trial of 14 suspects in the 2015 case, and the magazine republishing the cartoons ahead of the trial.
Violence is forbidden
It is mistakenly believed that Islam prescribes capital punishment for those who commit blasphemy. Nothing can be farther from the truth. According to Islam, blasphemy is simply a case of misunderstanding. Anyone who wishes to can engage in a discussion with the person who has misunderstood and make an effort to clarify it. That is the only choice a person has. The Islamic principle in this context is fully based on ‘peaceful dialogue’. God gives this injunction to the Prophet in the Quran: “So, [O Prophet] remind them: your task is only to remind, you are not over them a warden.” (88:21-22)
It is said that some non-believers would use abusive language against the Prophet. But the Prophet never wanted any punishment for them. Instead, his companion, Hassan bin Sabit al-Ansari, would engage in discussions with them to clear their misunderstandings, writes Islamic scholar Maulana Wahiduddin Khan. This was the Prophetic example….

Al-Azhar will internationally sue those insulting Prophet, grand imam tells French FM
‘We reject calling terrorism ‘Islamic,” El-Tayyeb said, adding that everyone has to immediately stop using this term, as it hurts the feelings of Muslims worldwide and it contradicts the truth known by everyone.
The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, the world’s leading Sunni Islamic institution, Ahmed El-Tayyeb expressed categorical rejection of the act of insulting Prophet Muhammad and vowed to sue perpetrators at international courts, Al-Azhar said in a statement.
His remarks came in a Sunday meeting with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, who is visiting Egypt to help de-escalate tensions that followed France’s President Emmanuel Macron’s comments on Islam.
Macron defended the right to draw cartoons on Prophet Muhammad, saying that France would not renounce the cartoons. Also, several campaigns were launched in the Islamic world, mainly on social media, calling for the boycott of French products as a response.
If you consider insulting our prophet freedom of speech, we categorically reject it, the statement read.
“I am the first to protest freedom of speech when this freedom offends any religion, not only Islam,” the grand imam said.
“Europe is indebted to our prophet Muhammad and to our religion, due to the light this religion has introduced to all humanity,” El-Tayyeb said.
“We reject calling terrorism ‘Islamic,'” El-Tayyeb said, adding that everyone has to immediately stop using this term, as it hurts the feelings of Muslims worldwide and it contradicts the truth known by everyone.
El-Tayyeb affirmed that Muslims around the world reject terrorism acting under the cover of religion, and stressed that Islam and its prophet has nothing to do with terrorism.
“Al-Azhar represents the voice of nearly two billion Muslims, and I said terrorists do not represent us and we are not responsible for their actions. I announced that in all international forums, in Paris, London, Geneva, the United States, Rome, Asian countries and everywhere.”
“When we say this, we do not say it as an apology. Islam is above apologies,” he added.
“I and this Al-Azhar turban carried the roses at the Bataclan Square — in Paris — and declared rejection of any form of terrorism.”
“Violations are available among followers of all religions and under all systems. If we say that Christianity is not responsible for the New Zealand incident, we also have to say that Islam is not responsible for the terrorism of those fighting in its name.”
The grand imam also referred to the educational and ideological role of Al-Azhar across time in facing terrorism, saying that it put new curricula affirming that terrorists are criminals and that Islam is not responsible for their acts.
El-Tayyeb hailed Le Drian’s remarks during the crisis sparked by Marcon’s controversial statements, saying his remarks represented the voice of wisdom.
In press remarks, Le Drian affirmed France’s deep respect to Islam, including its role in culture, history, and French sciences, as well as to Al-Azhar’s Grand Imam El-Tayyeb’s role in calling for tolerance and moderation.
He added that Muslims in France are an integral part of the French society and are able to practice their rituals under the state’s protection.
The only battle that should be fought along with partners in Egypt is that against terrorism and extremism and those who distort the religion for political purposes, Le Drian said.
The French minister said his country differentiates between Islam and those extremists, affirming that Muslims are the main victims of terrorism.
“With a great institution such as Al-Azhar, we have to fight against this combination of extremists’ religious hatred and delusions,” he said.

““If someone offends the Prophet no problem, we can kill him” – Kouachi brother, killer of Charlie Hebdo staff.
The Manual of Islamic Law, “Reliance of the Traveller”, lists, under “Acts that entail leaving Islam” (o8.7), “to revile Allah or his messenger’ (o8.7(4)). The penalty is death.
The lies of Raamish Siddiqui are easily refuted.

“Dishonest” is an understatement here. They are professional liars and they know exactly what they’re doing but they have a totally clear conscience about it, because doing that is for the sake of Islam.
Whatever tactic capable in helping to spread the true religion of Allah is permissible and even encouraged. It’s a badge of honour, the one doing it would be greatly rewarded by Allah.
Over the years, I found out that many people in the west can’t grasp this later concept about Islam and Muslims and are very eager to be fooled by Islamic apologetics. I don’t know what is complicated about that!

That Muslim author is lying about what Sharia actually teaches: death for blasphemers and anyone may kill the blasphemer.
Punishment of Blasphemers from Sharia manual Reliance of the Traveller’:
“The (DHIMMI) agreement is also violated (A: with respect to the offender alone) if the state has stipulated that any of the following things break it, and one of the subjects does so anyway, though if the state has not stipulated that these break the agreement, then they do not; namely, if one of the subject people:
-5- mentions something impermissible about Allah, the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), or Islam.” – Reliance of the Traveller’ Chapter ‘O’ 11.10.05.
Sharia permits anyone to kill those who verbally oppose Islam, since they are at war with Islam:
“There is no indemnity obligatory for killing a non-Muslim (harbi) at war with Muslims.” -Reliance of the Traveller, o4.17, p.593
“We have already discussed killing the person who, with intent, curses the Prophet, belittles him or slights him in any way. The judgement in this case is clear.” (i.e. death) – Qadhi Iyaadh in ash-Shifa, Volume No.2, Page No. 27

……………………..
If Raamish Siddiqui *really* believed this, then he would be taking it up with his fellow Muslims, rather than pestering decent Infidels. Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Algeria, Brunei, Mauritania, Bahrain, Indonesia, Iran, Afghanistan, Sudan, Egypt, Turkey, and most other Muslim nations have laws against blasphemy, some including the death penalty.
This is just Taqiyya from Raamish Siddiqui.

Yes–pious Muslims don’t care if other religions are insulted–in fact, Islam itself insults all other faiths.
And note that members of other faiths are not calling for the murder of “blasphemers”.

Islam allows no freedom and dose so through intimidation and violence. We should all respect each others right to religious freedom of belief. But just because someone disagrees or speaks unfavorably about your religion weather true or false is not an excuse for violence. If Islam wants respect its followers need to be tolerant of others and stop the violence and abuse.
