There could be a surprise, amid newly forming global and regional alliances, but it is extremely unlikely. In fact, it would be a fool’s errand to expect Pakistan even to entertain the possibility of recognizing Israel.
According to Haaretz:
Pakistan’s government achieved a new world record this week: in gaslighting. The subject: persistent rumors that Pakistan is reconsidering its definitive rejection of any moves towards establishing relations with Israel.
It is indeed wishful thinking to consider that Pakistan would venture into the realms of tolerance and diplomacy.
In fact, in August, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan categorically dismissed any possibility of recognizing Israel:
If we recognise Israel and ignore tyranny faced by the Palestinians, we will have to give up Kashmir as well, and this we cannot do.
This was to be expected, since Imran Khan is a hardline Islamic supremacist, persistent in slamming the freedom of speech while his country routinely persecutes Christians on trumped-up blasphemy charges.
“Saudi Arabia is pressuring Pakistan to recognize Israel – report,” by Zachary Keyser, Jerusalem Post, November 18, 2020:
Prominent Pakistani journalist Mubasher Lucman believes that Saudi Arabia is one of the countries pressuring Islamabad into recognizing Israel, he said in an interview with i24 News.
Lucman’s statement follows Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement that Islamabad has been placed “under pressure” by the United States, and other unnamed countries, to recognize Israel.
“I have no doubt that in my analysis that the other country he is talking about is Saudi Arabia, and no one else,” Lucman told the i24 presenter. “There are only four countries that could have said this: One is the United States, second is Israel, third is India and fourth is Saudi Arabia. There is no fifth country that has that kind of influence over [Pakistan].”
Pakistan is not “on talking terms with Israel – officially at least. And [Pakistan] does not get along with Indians, so it’s very simple,” he added.
Lucman further notes the complex geopolitical situation of the region, as well as its evolution over the years – where Pakistan is facing pressure to and has aligned with “questionable” countries such as China, Iran, Turkey and Malaysia, among others – which on its own has caused turmoil between Riyadh and Islamabad.
Khan even recently came out publicly stating that Pakistan is now, in Lucman’s terms, within the “Chinese lap and not the American lap” anymore, where it has chosen to align with its regional neighbor over the US – who both stand firmly in opposition of one another following an ongoing row involving blame over the coronavirus outbreak, human rights abuses, perceived security threats, difference in political stances and the ever-present competition for international economic dominance.
Lucman said that Saudi Arabia has always looked at Pakistan as its “subordinate” country, but “this time things are changing, the global geopolitical situation is changing, the politics of the region are changing, the influences are changing. So Saudi Arabia alone is not the only influencer in Pakistan.”…..

Saudi Arabia probably has next to no clout w/ Pakistan. Last year, when India ended Kashmir’s separate constitution and integrated it more within India, Saudi Arabia resisted all pressures from Pakistan to even criticize, let alone condemn, India. Not just that, both Saudi Arabia and UAE gave Prime Minister Modi their highest civilian honor. Reason: w/ their myriad oil customers slipping away or cutting demand, both countries were more interested in keeping India happy. When Pakistan tried to blackmail Saudi Arabia about this, the sheikhs got irate and demanded their $2 billion of aid back! Which Pakistan had to borrow from China
Pakistan is now squarely on Turkey’s side in the tug of war b/w Turkey and Saudi Arabia for the leadership of islam. The latter, otoh, along w/ most Arabs, can see the non-Arab upstarts trying to grab the leadership of Islam, which is why the Arabs are more than happy to support Infidel countries opposed by this non-Arab islamic alliance, be it India, Armenia, Israel or anyone else. B’cos they know that even India won’t bother challenging Arab control of islam, which is what every non-Arab Muslim country is likely to be prone to do

………….
I don’t see this happening…
Linde Barrera says
Pakistan should recognize Israel but probably will not because Israel is seeking to have peaceful alliances with Arabic and Gulf countries. Pakistan wants to be a leader in something and by cracky it will lead in discord and propaganda.
