Sharia France: Danish activist arrested and deported for trying to burn Qur’an

Nov 17, 2020 12:00 pm By Robert Spencer 20 Comments

Rasmus Paludan, the French publication Marianne, tells us, is “far-right,” which means that Marianne wants its readers to despise Rasmus Paludan. But in its essentials, he was going to do nothing different from what Samuel Paty did, and Samuel Paty is now celebrated in France as a hero and martyr for the freedom of speech. Either France is going to protect the freedom of expression or it is going to submit to Sharia. If Paludan had been murdered for burning a Qur’an, would that have made him more palatable to French authorities?

“Rasmus Paludan, Danish anti-Islam activist, arrested in Paris while going to burn Korans,” by Paul Conge, Marianne, November 11, 2020 (thanks to Breitbart):

According to our information, this far-right agitator from Denmark was arrested in Paris before he was able to carry out his auto-da-fé project. The activist, banned from French soil, will be expelled in the evening.

He defied his ban on French territory and was about to burn Korans at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe. But Rasmus Paludan, a Danish far-right agitator, was unlikely to succeed. He was arrested on November 11 in Paris, around 2:30 p.m., in his car, before taking action, Marianne learned from a judicial source. This 38-year-old nationalist YouTuber will be expelled from France in the evening. He failed to disrupt Armistice commemorations.

Anti-Islam agitprop specialist

Little known in France, Rasmus Paludan, a specialist in anti-Islam agitprop, has been noticed in recent years for YouTube videos in which he makes auto-da-fés of the Koran, sometimes by brushing it with pig’s blood or by wrapping it in bacon. Provocations that he has recently repeated in several European capitals, such as Stockholm and Copenhagen.

A lawyer by profession, Paludan in 2017 founded the identity micro-party Stram Kurs (“Hard Line”) to promote his radically Islamophobic line and has been leading it ever since. Although he appears, for his detractors, to be a political clown, with his colorful ties and his outrageous remarks, the man who was condemned in 2019 for his racist remarks managed to garner 1.8% of the vote in the last legislative elections in Denmark. This was insufficient, however, to send a deputy to the Folketing, the Danish parliament.

Rasmus Paludan, who is said to be under ban on French territory, arrived in Paris on the evening of November 10. In an irregular situation, he was arrested while getting into his car, and was placed in administrative detention in the premises of the Department for the Control of Migration Flows (DCFM), which reports to the Paris Police Prefecture.

His auto-da-fé project had benefited from a few relays in the French far-right webosphere.

He will be deported this evening.

Would a French citizen be arrested for burning a Quran as well? I hope not.

In America, it’s legal, but discouraged, as it can lead to Jihadists retaliating by killing people.

I own several qur’ans…let me explain. One is so I can study my enemy. One is so I can burn a page or two/day, if I want to…and I do. The third is going to be used if we run into a toilet paper shortage, again. If you ‘crinkle’ the page up a couple of times before using it9for it’s proper use)…it’s not too bad. The funny thing is…I got one of these for free from CAIR a fair number of years ago when they were trying to combat ‘islamophobia’. The one they sent me…was missing a large number of verses. Namely the ones calling for violence and death for all infidels. Wonder why?

      A censored Koran?
That means, as it wasn’t the perfect book it was ok to give to infidels to deceive them. Also a master stroke of misinformation, “see, we are a peaceful religion you stinking infidel”.

Those governing France seem very inconsistent in their treatment. On the one hand, they are ready to face the threats from moslims for saying that islam is involved in terrorism…Mr. Macron has had his life threatened, and he has been lambasted by such as the er snake awan…but on the other hand, they don’t want any burnings of the book of filth.

moslims all over are out for blood…they are always out for blood, no extra incitement necessary…due to Mr. Macron’s words and his refusal to apologize.
It’s understandable that the people don’t want any more attacks in France, but sending this guy back to his home will not stop them from crying out for more blood.

And it doesn’t help when the ‘reporters’ use the word coined by the oic to incite trouble…”phobia” of the evil practices carried out…and on…by moslims in their worship of a false ‘god’ and his false ‘prophet.’ As though moslims should be protected from other people not liking what they do, (terrorism, raping, murders, threats of violence and actual violence, etc.) perhaps even having a “fear” of these things.

I think not. And if he burned a Bible and anyone objected, that one would be the guy or girl in trouble…for objecting to his expression of ‘free speech.’

It seems to be repeated once again .Which is that a much for intelligent way to handle the Quran than to burn it is to reveal the logic flaws spoken by the Muslim apologists who used illogical an senseless claims to “prove” the Quran to be true

For example, a claim by Muslims scholars is that no one can produce something as beautiful as the Quran in the way the words are arranged and thus it can only be of God.

    This claim should be answered.

First, all someone has to do is examine some of the great works of literature to fine much written beauty. Such as the Greek epic poet Homer with his Iliad and Odyssey and then Virgil who produced the Aeneid has beauty. Even one of the non-Bible books in the Apocrypha called The Song of Three Children is also very beautiful. Thus just because someone sees a work that is written in great beauty doesn’t mean it’s inspired by God.

Second, the scholar Edward Gibbon wrote after an examination of the Quran that it is an “incoherent jumble of fable and precept and declamation which seldom excites a sentiment or an idea, sometimes craws in the dust and is sometimes lost in the clouds…” The writer Thomas Carlyle wrote the Quran is “A wearisome jumble, crude, incondite [with] endless iterations [and] longwindedness…” Likewise, the philosopher David Hume was NOT favorably impressed after reading the Quran.
[Source of the three scholars mentioned – Secrets of The Koran: Revealing Insight Into Islam’s Holy Book .56,66, by Don Richardson]

Furthermore, the following should be taken into consideration.

Of course the Muslim who reads the Quran will see great beauty in the way the words are arranged. This is, in part, because of the power of suggestion after being told so many times that the Quran is so beautifully written. That’s an old brainwashing method, repeating and being told that same thing again and again. Since he or she is always being told the same lie will end up believing that lie. In addition to that, the Imams try to discourage their people from reading other works, such as the Bible, so then they don’t have much or anything to compare or contrast the Quran with. Of course there are some Muslim’s that do read other works, but they are exceptions and they read other things only after they were already brainwashed by the Imams. In short, the Muslims can’t read the Quran objectively because their Imams have programmed them to have a strong bias towards it.

Very true Walter, Also, we have to take into account that a great many Mudslimes are illiterate or unable to read Arabic, so, as with the early Christians, the only way they know what is written in their holy book is because their holy man told them so!
As for the brainwashing part of your comment, I think Joseph Goebbels, Hitlers propaganda minister, said it best. “If you tell a lie often enough and with enough voracity, it will become the truth”.
AKA,,,Islam is a religion of peace!

A better ,as in a more intelligent and sophisticated way deal with Quran than to burn it is to expose the many errors and contradictions this religious book contains.

This has already been done on pages 145 through 157 in THE ISLAMIC INVASION by Robert Morey in which he wrote a section on the Quran with its self-contradictions. Just two of the many he cited are the following “The Quran differs on whether a day is a thousand years or fifty thousand years in God’s sight’ and “Who was first to believe? Abraham or Moses [Sura 6:14 versus 7:143]? The above is inconsistent and illogical. Further, Morey wrote about “The fact that Judaism and Christianity broke up into different sects was used in the Quran to prove that they are not of God [Suras 30:20-32. 42:13, 14]. Yet Islam has broken up into many warring sects and therefore cannot be true if the Quran is right.” Moreover, Morey in his book shows many more contradictions and absurdities in the Quran, there are and how Muhammad incorporated extra Biblical and Jewish folklore along with pre-Islamic Arabian myth and parts of Zoroastrian and Hindu stories into the Quran. Furthermore, the Muslims claim that “the Quran is the direct, literal word of God unmodified in any way by the Prophet who uttered them at the bidding of God.”

Futhermore, in the book UNVEILING ISLAM by Ergun Mehmet Caner and Eethi Caner has shown that the Quran was modified in the following account on pages 45. “Muhammad felt the need to improve on the words of Allah, since he changed Allah’s wisdom for his own on several occasions. A hadith tells of the nonchalant emendations of Muhammad:’ On a number of occasions he [a scribe] had, with the Prophet’s consent changed the closing words of verses.

For example, when the prophet had said ‘God is mighty and wise ‘ Adbollah b. Abi Sarh suggested writing down ‘Knowing and wise’ and the Prophet answered that there was no objection. Having observed a succession of changes of this type, Adbollah renounced Islam on the grounds that revelations, if from God could not be changed at the prompting of a scribe such as himself. After his apostasy he went to Mecca and joined the Qorayshites.’ Other writers reveal that later Muhammad and his people did go war with the Qorayshites and he personally killed Abdollah. Obviously Abdollah knew too much and Muhammad wanted Abdollah’s knowledge to die with him.” In conclusion, the Quran is not only a fiction, it’s also a hoax.

Even though the above essay was posted before, it should now be added that the last statement of the above that “the Quran is not only a fiction, it’s also a hoax.” To put this in a Biblical way. As in from the Bible, it may be truly explained that the Quran is a deceptive work of “the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.” Ephesians 14:12.. [N.I.V.]

A more appropriate name for RP’s actions would be ‘burning toilet paper publicly’.

muslims really seem to be extremely thin skinned and so easily offended and they would be much more effective if they just laughed at this guy burning their book… Its just a book mate, written a long time after the death of their main guy, may piss be upon him.
How shallow can they get… thats not a trick question…

Instead of drawing cartoons and burning books considered sacred, would not infinitely more be accomplished by well learned apologists illustrating the falsehoods though debate, reason, historical, bibliographical as well as archeological evidence?

Like the beautiful story about the mullah who laid the Bible and Koran side by side and eventually finding the Truth in the Bible?

Drawing cartoons cirtical of Islam is a major part of the resistance. Saying that we should not be allowed to criticize Islam is just grotesque. And your belief that Muslims will listen to other criticism of their creed so long as it does not involve visual art is *much* mistaken.
