Brazen lies and victimology of the kind Elsayed offers here are generally accepted by Leftists, who are easily duped by those who resort to identity politics, especially stealth jihadists.
Elsayed claim that “Many Christians, Jews want to turn Muslims back to being infidels like them” is based on the Qur’an: “And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their religion. Say, ‘Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the guidance.’ If you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would have against Allah no protector or helper.” (Qur’an 2:120)
Regarding Elsayed’s claim that there is freedom of expression to insult Muhammad, but not Macron, it is hard to believe that Elsayed actually believes his own words, but just in case he does, these are generally the rules of free societies:
1. People are allowed to offend others, and those who are offended are allowed to be angry.
2. Those who are angry are not allowed to behave like barbarians and threaten the life of the offender, much less murder the offender (as in the case of French teacher Samuel Paty). Nor are they allowed to create public disturbances.
3. Christianity has been insulted innumerable times in the West. This has not led to violence or even to massive protests, threats, and demands that the insults be criminalized.
4. No one wants to turn Muslims into “infidels.” It is Islamic supremacists who call Jews and Christians “infidels,” kaffirs, and see them as inferiors. In fact, Islam is the only religion that sanctions murdering people for leaving the religion, as well as for being heretics (such as the Ahmadis.
Elsayed is trying to stir up rage in his audience and give Muslims a false sense that they are being treated as outcasts. He preaches division, hate and lies:
Where is vice most to spread? Where is evil most to spread? Where are words initiated from? Where are the mayhem, the killing, the stealing of resources of others, the oppression of people, where does it come from? It’s not from Muslims.
Why would Elsayed and other Muslims like him want to be in Western countries at all, with such a mindset? Hint: the hijrah.
Elsayed also has called on Muslim men to fight in the jihad and called for female genital mutilation to prevent “hyper-sexuality.”

Virginia Imam Shaker Elsayed delivered a Friday sermon at the Dar Al-Hijra Islamic Center in Fairfax County, Virginia on November 6, 2020. In the sermon, Elsayed said that the West is trying to label Muslims as terrorists and destroy countries such as Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. He said that many Christians and Jews want the Muslims to be infidels like them and, citing the Quran, he said that those who reject the message of Islam are disobedient and rebellious. Elsayed also criticized French President Emmanuel Macron for getting “angry” when Turkish President Erdoğan said he is mentally ill. The Dar Al-Hijra Islamic Center is linked to former Al-Qaeda leader Anwar Al-‘Awlaki, to some of the 9/11 terrorists, to Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan, and to other known Jihadis.

This is angry for himself. And, when it comes to Muslims being angry at insulting the Prophet, he doesn’t see it. This is eating his ajwa. So on one hand, this is freedom of expression to insult the Prophet, but there is no freedom of expression to insult Macron.”
