“As a Muslim we should not celebrate or even congratulate other religions in their celebrates that’s all.”
The popular Muslim preacher Zakir Naik explains this line of thought here.
How likely is it that the Muslims who bombarded Mo Salah with hate messages will become loyal members of British society?
“Liverpool star Mo Salah bombarded with hate-filled replies after posting family Christmas message,” RT, December 25, 2020 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohamed Salah has been subjected to online anger from fans unhappy that the Muslim star shared a Christmas message with his family.
Salah, 28, posted images to his social media following of more than 50 million featuring himself and his family dressed in festive attire sitting in front of a Christmas tree, adding two emojis and the hashtag #MerryChristmas.
Salah’s Instagram post racked up more than 2.3 million likes while his Twitter message with the same pictures was liked more than 245,000 times.
But among the positivity for Salah’s message the posts also sparked a row among some fans who argued that the Muslim star should not be seen celebrating Christmas.
“As a Muslim we should not celebrate or even congratulate other religions in their celebrates that’s all,” read one reply.
“That’s why [Arsenal and Egypt player] Mohammed Elneny is the Egyptian king & not u,” read another spite-filled response.
“Today You are a Christian and tomorrow you are Muslim. You will explain this to ur creator,” came another vicious reply.
“People need to realize we don’t hate Christmas but being supportive of it is a major sin in Islam. It’s basically shirk!!” fumed another.
“It is not permissible to celebrate the holidays of the infidels,” read another comment in Arabic.
“This is why I love ufc BROTHER KHABIB the most from all the famous MUSLIM stars… He never COMPROMISES his deen Alhamdulillah… Muslims don’t celebrate Christmas but you all can enjoy yours… We have our EID ….,” wrote another person, referring to Russian UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who is also Muslim….

See, it is beginning to become apparent to some Muslims, for instance perhaps this soccer dude, that the egregious, supremacist superiority aspect of Islam has no place in the modern world. This man’s humanity was manifesting itself overall and he was refuted, even threatened, by fellow adherents of just about the most inhumane ideology of all time—Islam, the very religion that he still believes in. I suspect he doesn’t even know how awful his religion truly is, ditto for untold millions of Muslims who believe in a warped fantasy version that is called “Islam.”
The best of mankind v. the worst of mankind. I most definitely put the ENTIRE Islamic faith in the latter “category.” And I would put no other major faith in this “category.”
Again I say to all Muslims reading this, you should be deeply ashamed of your religion. It is, as I have stated many times before here at JW, the turd in the punch bowl of world religions. In short, Islam sucks, and may your Allah destroy me tonight if I am wrong, a “proposition” I have put forward many times here at JW with my “claim” that I will be back tomorrow.
As I will be tomorrow. And this is because, Muslims, there is no Allah.

Every thing you say Wellington is spot on, I just wish I had the talent or the skill to express myself in the manner that you do.
However there is one thing that is pissing me off, will you please stop tempting allah to bump you off.Don’t you realise, that if something did happen to you, allah would be getting all the credit, and muslims will be rejoicing all over the world. So please please put an end to it..
Anyway having said that I do hope you’ve had a nice Xmas, and I wish you and your family all the very best for the new year.

I’ll consider your request, john smith. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and, like I, look forward to a better year coming up than this dismal year we have lived through.

Thank you Wellington.

Really; i dont think you have any right to tell someone how they should criticize islam. Unless they are preaching violence. Stop doing that; you sound a little like a muslim. (Telling people how to act, what to think).

william carr says
So much for the religion of peace and tolerance. However I wonder what % of Muslims it was the numbers of supporters are given but not the antis. There are some Christians who would get upset if a prominent Christian gives greetings to Muslims on their festive occasions, as we well know.
William Tyson says
I thought Muslims believed in Jesus too? Why are they against Christmas?
Infidel says
That raises an interesting question: when was the fake Jesus a.k.a. Isa born? ?
abad says
The Islam version of Jesus is a mortal man, simply a “prophet”.
The Bible Jesus is God Incarnate on earth.
Christmas celebrates the birth of God (through Mary) incarnate on earth.
You’re welcome.
Infidel says
‘Isa’ – the fake islamic Jesus – was actually a coward who was substituted on the cross by someone else, who evidently was completely expendable. Not only in terms of his life, but also very conveniently forgotten
gravenimage says
Important point, Infidel–it is not just that “Isa” was not crucified and is not the Savior–he coerced some poor nameless fool to be crucified in his place, making him a callous coward.
He is also supposed to mass slaughter all Christians in the last days. An ugly figure.
Infidel says
And that’s the part that escapes me. If you had an employee who was excellent at a given task, would you pass him over for somebody else who was not known to do the job?
Exactly the case here. Let’s assume, hypothetically for the moment, that allah exists and wants all non-muslims to be exterminated. Why would he turn to Isa when Mohammed did such an excellent job the first time? When he knows what the result would be if Mohammed did the project vs Isa doing it
gravenimage says
True–Isa is still a rather more impressive figure than Muhammed, bringing clay birds to life and such. “Isa” is obviously just an attempt to sideline the great figure of Jesus.

Hopefully he can find the courage to go even further away from the evil filth of islam and teach that little child of his about what is good, right, virtuous, kind, loving, and the child will grow up with that instead of learning to hate, to want to murder, to rape and lie for satan.
It takes courage to do the right thing. He has made a start in doing something that makes moslims threaten and curse him. Anything of which they approve, is a bad thing.

‘As a Muslim we should not celebrate other religions‘ – UK soccer star enrages some Muslims with Christmas photos

It’s simply Islam my friend ! and do you know that according to the ( Quran 9:113 ) Muslims are not allowed to pray for the dead of the Non-Muslims because they are infidels and have been destined to hell fire by Allah of Islam ! So imagine Muslims are not even allowed to say to the family of any dead nonMuslim “ rest in peace “ even though there are Muslims out there whose humanity overcome their cult by saying to the dead of the nonMuslim “ RIP “ and that’s why I said that Islam is like a poison which eats away any fibre of humanity renown’s in any Muslim individual.

‘Mo Salah success scores home win against Islamophobia in Liverpool’
He has had a huge impact on the fortunes of Liverpool Football Club and now Mo Salah’s success is being credited with a fall in Islamophobia. The Egyptian striker is being linked to changing attitudes towards Muslims on Merseyside. Salah, 26, who scored the opening goal in the Champions League final on Saturday, has helped to raise awareness of his faith since joining the club two years ago, according to research. He kneels in prayer after scoring a goal, his wife is often seen wearing a hijab and his daughter is called Makka in honour of Islam’s holiest site.

Let’s have another look at those quotes…..
“As a Muslim we should not celebrate or even congratulate other religions in their celebrates that’s all……”
So this is thee religion of ‘Peace’, ‘Love’ and ‘Tolerance’ (etc. etc.) that (according to an imam in Germany) that’s such an important part of western societies?
“That’s why [Arsenal and Egypt player] Mohammed Elneny is the Egyptian king & not u…….” whatever that’s supposed to mean, but certainly shows the muslim attitude to those of their number who try to relate respectfully to their host populations.
“Today You are a Christian and tomorrow you are Muslim. You will explain this to ur creator…..”, obviously showing the total bigoted ignorance of mjuslims like this who have failed to notice that Christmas has always been simply a midwinter national holiday in the Western world. It is good to notice, however, that these people recognised that they do not see themselves as products of the same creator.
“People need to realize we don’t hate Christmas but being supportive of it is a major sin in Islam. It’s basically shirk!!……..” whatever ‘shirk’ is, so if these people can’t be bothered to use correct English vocabulary, I’m not going to bother communicating with them. However, this quote certainly demonstrates the innate arrogant bigotry of ”devout muslims’ who seem incapable of showing any consideration towards anything that does not immediately reflect themselves.
“It is not permissible to celebrate the holidays of the infidels…..”, yet again proof of islamic exclusionist bigotry and therefore their total unsuitability to be considered as citizens of any civilised Western society.
Anybody with half a brain and any informed experience of living in the West would be well aware that Christmas is simply the conventional midwinter festivity psychologically and socially necessary for those living in higher northern hemisphere latitudes, that has been appropriated by historical Christian authorities for a celebration of Christ’s birth because it conveniently coincides with former pagan and other celebrations (e.d., ‘Yuletide’ and Scottish ‘Hogmanay’) of the prospect of new beginnings of life when everything else looks like it’s defunct. It’s interesting to note the difference between these muslims and our Jewish friends with relation to Christmas, as exemplified in:-
1. Jewish communities in the West have never raised any objections or made any fuss about Christmas;
2. Several years ago, Jewish NHS workers here in the UK offered to take over their non-Jewish colleagues’ shifts over Christmas so that the latter could enjoy Christmas Day and Boxing day. Muslims have never shown the slightest sign of doing anything like that; they’re much more likely to blow up churches!
3. Some of the best known popular Christmas songs have been written by persons of a Jewish heritage!
With every passing day, allowing muslims into civilised Western societies is increasingly seen as an absolutely hideous disaster; yet these Disciples of the ‘Great Prophet’ just carry on compounding the problem and digging their hole ever deeper, as if they’re immune to the foreseeable consequences of their bigoted stupidity.
Rarely says
There is a big difference between a Jewish person working on Xmas so that his/her Christian co-workers can have the day off and actually celebrating Christmas. He/she is simply acting civilized.
And yes Jewish songwriters have written many songs associated with Christian holidays. e.g. Irving Berlin wrote both “White Christmas” and “Easter Parade” along with many other “Christian” songs. It doesn’t mean he was celebrating either holiday in a religious sense.
Infidel says
But in this story, even the muslim soccer player wasn’t celebrating Christmas in a religious sense: he was just sharing the same cultural practice as most Brits – having a Christmas tree, opening up Christmas presents… Since Hanukkah typically occurs around this time, Jews have their own celebrations and don’t need to do trees since they have menorahs, but as Jayell pointed out, they don’t make an issue of it. If a Jewish star were to do what this guy did, you can bet that there wouldn’t be hundreds of Jews online baying for his blood or even criticizing him
Rarely says
“If a Jewish star were to do what this guy did…” Jews would consider it to be very, very inappropriate but treat it as his own business. There are always extremists but generally it would be ignored although he would lose respect.
Infidel says
And that’s the very point – Jews would treat it as his own business, but leave him alone. Totally different from the muslims here are doing!

France: Muslim threatened and beaten up by Muslims for celebrating Christmas together with his family
A young Muslim man was beaten up in France for celebrating Christmas with his family and posting pictures of it on the internet. The 20-year-old Nabil from the eastern French town of Belfort was first insulted and threatened by an acquaintance via the online network Snapchat. The classmate wrote to him that he was “shocked” that Nabil celebrated Christmas being a Muslim.Nabil had previously published photos of the family dinner that he had with his mother and stepfather on the internet. Nabil’s parents are also police officers, which is another reason why he was attacked online. Because of the photos, the school and football colleague threatened him: “I’ll show you what a real Arab is.” When he then wanted to meet the young man to discuss the matter, he was ambushed and physically attacked by a total of five men. Before leaving the injured Nabil behind, they told him to expect the worst if he told anyone about the incident or should he go to the police. When he returned home later, the 20-year-old, whose face was bleeding and covered with bruises, nevertheless reported the incident to the police. Because of the text message, the attacker was quickly identified and arrested. During his interrogation, he still expressed ” being shocked” that Nabil had posted the pictures of the Christmas dinner online and said: “It’s not the Muslim way to celebrate Christmas.”The regional president of Grand Est, Jean Rottner, was appalled by the incident. On Twitter, he spoke of an “unacceptable aggression” that was caused by “racism and hatred towards the police”. The young man was also attacked on the internet because his parents are police officers.Nabil’s mother later said that her son had to “pay for his origin”, but especially for being the son of two policemen. Such racist and divisive behaviour is not tolerable in the 21st century, she said.

Mo Salah. There are many instances of his generosity to others who are less well off than him (95% of the world) He has never promoted them he has just done them. He is a quality human being. Bringing up his children in a Christian/no religion society he does not exclude them from what their friends have. A special day with presents and ice cream for breakfast.
Remember there is no fun in Islam unless you enjoy goats and bachi boys.
Hope 2021 is good for you.

Goofy says
Without the People of the Book and the unfounded claim that Islam is an Abrahamic religion nobody would recognize Islam as a religion at all. All focus in the Koran would be on its hate speech and it’s commands to commit crimes against humanity and war crimes.
How strange that the Muslims don’t like to extend or receive Christmas greetings. After all the Koran puts a lot of emphasis on the virgin Mary (Miriam) than is the case in the Bible and her son Jesus, (Issa). The Koran even gives Jesus Christ godly attributes which are not to be found in the Bible. That goes for the Jesus child breathing life into clay pigeons, which obviously is “inspired” by apocryphal texts.
So what is the problem? Is it as illogical as claiming that the foundation of Islam, the Bible is corrupt without having anything to show for it?
Infidel says
Goofy, I think islam gets away w/ the claim that it is a religion b’cos it was founded in the 7th century in a lawless country, quickly conquered first that country and dismantled 2 major empires of that era, and then went on to spread over the next millennia
But as Ali Sina pointed out, it fits the definition of a cult more than a religion

No Muzzies Here says
The tree is a pagan symbol. It is called a “Christmas” tree because the custom is to decorate one around Christmas.
Christmas in the USA is hardly a Christian celebration. It is a fun time for family and kids. Those who want to include some religious observances can do so, but the majority don’t.
Anyone who wants to take part in the fun of Christmas is welcome to do so.
Unfortunately, what’s happening in Western countries, is that all customs with an origin in Christianity are being deep-sixed as the countries’ leaders pledge submission to their new overlords.
Rarely says
Christmas is clearly a Christian holiday and hardly falls into the same category as Hallowe’en and Valentine’s Day which lost any real religious significance a long time ago (except, of course, in the minds of some muslims).
Infidel says
It’s an intersection: sure, Christians can celebrate the day w/ special church services, but the practice of trees, gifts, Santa and the reindeer, et al are practices anyone can do w/o being Christian. Something like Diwali in India, which primarily celebrates a Hindu event, but is celebrated by other Indians, like Sikhs, Christians, Parsis, Jews, Buddhists, et al
Rarely says
Very few non-Christians traditionally pay heed to the Xmas trees, Santa Claus and the other trappings of Xmas. A Jewish kid may get on Santa’s lap at the Mall but it rarely goes any further than that. One street in this town goes all out with Xmas lights every year which attracts thousands of viewers. Even a Jehovah’s Witness I know quite well who lives on the street joins in — just being neighbourly and nothing can be read into it.
It just isn’t anything like Valentine’s Day or Hallowe’en. Christmas is simply not religion neutral–except, of course, to non-religious Christians.
gravenimage says
Lots of Agnostics and Atheists celebrate the secular Christmas–as do Christians.
Muslims don’t just attack Christmas, though–they also attack Valentine’s Day, Hallowe’en, and New Year’s.
