My latest in PJ Media:
It’s 2020, and so terrorists must have their say: Facebook, YouTube, and Zoom refused to carry a virtual event featuring a terrorist, and City University of New York (CUNY) officials are outraged.
As we see practically every day now, the Left is not bound by the rules it sets for everyone else. And so it is that on college campuses, when a pro-American, pro-Israel, pro-Trump speaker gets shouted down, canceled, or even physically attacked, that’s a justifiable, entirely warranted response to the speaker’s egregious racism (or whatever is the term of art of the moment) and an endeavor to protect the marginalized students on campus (that is, those who call all the shots) from being victimized by redneck MAGA yahoos. But on the rare occasions when a Leftist speaker is canceled, that is an outrageous, unacceptable, hair-pullingly evil interference with academic freedom, which Leftists suddenly remember to love and cherish after trampling upon it the other 364 days a year. That’s what’s playing out these days at CUNY.
JNS.org reported Friday that CUNY has just “passed a resolution that rebuked the censorship of a virtual event a few months ago that featured a documented Palestinian terrorist.” The CUNY Professional Staff Congress (PSC) International Committee passed the resolution protesting against the decision of Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube to remove a September 23 event entitled “Whose Narratives? Gender, Justice, & Resistance: A conversation with Leila Khaled.”
As a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a Marxist group that works hand-in-glove with Palestinian jihad terrorists and has itself been designated a terrorist organization by the United States, Khaled “played a critical role in two airplane hijackings.” The Jerusalem Post reported that Khaled “hijacked El Al Flight 219 on September 6, 1970,” and that San Francisco State University (SFSU), which was actually hosting the web event, “rejected previous requests to withdraw the invitation, including a request made by Rodney Khazzam, a passenger on Flight 219 who almost lost his life when Khaled attempted to detonate a grenade while the plane was aloft.”
There is more. Read the rest here.

Good news for freedom and justice, US service members convicted of killing Iraqi civilians were pardoned by Trump. This is true freedom. You can kill civilians and its OK as long as they/re Muslims. Of course that logic only works one way but that’s the beauty of freedom, something which Islam knows nothing about:
“Mr. Trump’s list of pardons on Tuesday included four former U.S. service members who were convicted on charges related to the killing of Iraqi civilians while working as contractors for Blackwater in 2007.
One of them, Nicholas Slatten, had been sentenced to life in prison after the Justice Department had gone to great lengths to prosecute him. Mr. Slatten had been a contractor for the private company Blackwater and was sentenced for his role in the killing of 17 Iraqi civilians in Nisour Square in Baghdad — a massacre that left one of the most lasting stains of the war on the United States. Among those dead were two boys, 8 and 11.”

Well, if there was no intent to commit a crime there was no crime. Ask James Comey and Hillary Clinton.
ELI says
Sure, unintended massacres happen all the time.
CogitoErgoSum says
Of course they do.
OLD GUY says
Hey ELI men. women, and children die in war, at least we Americans don’t celebrate the killing of civilians like the islamic muslims do. Islam promotes the murder of all civilians who are not islamic. Merry Christmas

Not all of us agree with this pardon–but what does “ELI” care? So long as he can excoriate the West and distract from JIhad terror, he’s good…
James Lincoln says
ELI,
Compare and contrast the very liberal New York Times article with John Hawkins article on Dan Bongino’s website.

Thanks for that link.

Please do not use the name “Eli” and please go to Iraq and live there for at least six months before accuse anyone of taking action that you yourself would have taken.

CUNY Enraged That Social Media Giants Dropped Event Featuring a Terrorist
………..
Good lord.
Rod says
There will, no doubt, be a chorus of outrage at the orange dotard’s decision to pardon four war criminals, found guilty in a court of law of the killing of 14 unarmed Iraqi civilians, including women and children, and wounding many more.
We saw on these pages recently how determined jihadwatchers are to see justice meted out to murderous criminals, and how those opposed to capital punishment for lesser crimes can be ridiculed. But pardons for murderous war criminals, guilty of an outright cold-blooded massacre?
But of course in this case the offenders were not Muslims. And the victims were Muslims. That puts an entirely different light on the matter.
And further, the offenders are Americans, and they do have connections in high places.
So perhaps I will wait in vain for the storm of outrage to be unleashed by Mr Spencer and his devotees.
The watchword is, and always shall be – Muslims are bad and we are good.

Actually, I already said I disgreed with this pardon, given what I know of this case. “Rod” is of course ignoring this, though.
James Lincoln says
Rod says,
“The watchword is, and always shall be – Muslims are bad and we are good.”
Apparently, you are grouping yourself in with “we” so you must be a non-muslim who is a muslim apologist.
Not every muslim is a categorically “bad” person and not every non-muslim is a categorically “good” person.
Muslims range anywhere from being “muslims in name only” all the way to being very devout muslims.
The “muslims in name only” are not particularly dangerous unless they decide to become more devout in their islamic faith.
Devout muslims are very dangerous – and very bad for Western society.
The bigger problem is that all muslims support, to some degree, islam – a religious/political totalitarian ideology whose goal is to impose sharia law throughout the world.
It is likely that you are aware of all of this but are purposely trying to deceive, deflect, etc.
There are some very smart Jihad Watch readers/posters who can immediately recognize this deception.
john smith says
Perfectly stated James, absolutely spot on.
Greg Beetham says
It doesn’t matter if a Muslim is devout or not, all Muslims will support the Jihadists (openly or secretly) no matter what kind of crimes they commit so you can put all Muslims into one category and ignore any deceptions they might come up with. If you believe anything a Muslim says you need your head examined.
CogitoErgoSum says
No, Rod, Islam is bad and we are good. Muslims could be good if they would forget about following Islam.
Rod says
Yes, cog, we are good, and always good enough to censure others, even when it makes us hypocrites. As it so often does.
gravy has passed judgement, so what Bonespurs does becomes insignificant, and the underlying hypocrisy can be ignored. Now that’s real hubris. Welcome to the Spencer family.
CogitoErgoSum says
I’m sure that Muslims think that they are good because they are Muslims. Didn’t Muhammad tell them that they are the best of people and those who do not believe in Allah are the worst of creatures? So in the eyes of Muslims I must be among the worst of all creation. But what if I were to submit and convert to Islam? Would I then be better able to judge people based upon their religion? Seems to me it would be so much simpler to tell who is good and who is bad and who is going to Hell (all those Infidels for certain).

I guess “Rod” here is not satisfied with my disagreeing with President Trump here. Perhaps my trying to blow the President up in a suicide attack would redeem me in his eyes? I can only hope…sarc/off
john smith says
You didn’t have to put the “sarc/off” in gravenimage, even a half wit would of got that one.
Sorry, I didn’t realise, you must have put it in for Rod.
