NAIROBI, Kenya (Morning Star News) – A 38-year-old mother of three in eastern Uganda had secretly put her faith in Christ for three months before her Muslim husband found two Bibles in her suitcase.
On that day, Nov. 21, in Bugiri District’s Matovu village, Zubeda Nabirye’s husband asked her why she had the two Bibles, one in English and the other in their tribal language. Her husband, Umar Kyakulaga, also asked if she had converted to Christianity, she said.
“I replied to him that a friend had given me the Bibles, and that I was using it to compare it with what is written in the Koran, and after all religion is a matter of personal choice,” Nabirye told a Morning Star News contact. She also told her husband, “I was convicted and decided to embrace Christianity.”
Kyakulaga grew angry and picked up a copy of the Koran, she said.
“My husband began reading verses in the Koran that allowed men to beat their wives if they disobey them, and after that he started beating me with slaps and sticks,” she said. “As if this was not enough, he forced me to take Dithane M-45,” a toxic pesticide.
She tried not to swallow the pesticide he had forced into her mouth but ingested some while he was trying to strangle her and hitting her leg with sticks, she said. He also injured her chest, neck and thigh, Nabirye said.
When the couple moved to Matovu from Kaliro district earlier this year, they had left their three children with Nabirye’s mother-in-law due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus no one else was home when Nabirye lost consciousness.
“It was around 10 p.m. when I regained consciousness and found myself surrounded by neighbors,” she said.
Neighbors told Morning Star News that they heard crying and wailing at Nabirye’s home, but that by the time they made it there, the place was empty.
“While we were going back, we heard groaning from a nearby banana plant, and there we found Zubeda Nabirye, who had just regained her consciousness but with vomit and blood all over her body,” one of the neighbors told the Morning Star News contact. “We then arranged for her transportation to the hospital near her home in Kaliro.”
Nabirye said she suspects her husband took her to the banana plants expecting she would die there.
A relative said Nabirye would not file charges with police over the assault as it could provoke further violence….

Word of advice to women in a relationship with abusive men: DO NO ENGAGE MEN IN PHYSICAL VIOLENCE!!! You cannot win. Not even if you manage to take him by surprise by hitting him with an object from behind or something, because once he gets up, your life will be in danger. Men who are physically abusive towards women usually do it because they feel physically inferior towards other men, so they have to feel superior by beating those weaker than them (women and children). Now imagine that kind of person being beaten by a woman — their ego cannot let it get away unpunished. In that case, you better make sure that the guy does not get back up, ever. Extreme cases aside, your best course of action is to run away and report him to the police (unless you live in a muslim country, then you’re screwed).
To any women reading this — please do not buy into leftist bullshit that men and women are equal, this can’t be further from the truth. Men are physically superior (harder) while women are more compassionate and empathetic (softer), that’s just the way it is. No amount of exercise and “bodybuilding” (which isn’t even useful in real fights) will bridge the physical gap between men and women. An average grown man that doesn’t do any sports can defeat 99.999% of all women on the planet in a physical fight simply due to biology. There’s a reason why sports are divided into men’s and women’s categories, because if they weren’t, there wouldn’t be a single female athlete today.
This doesn’t mean women should train or exercise, on the contrary — if everyone was physically fit we would all be much healthier as a result. But if you (a woman) start to train in the hopes of defeating men in fights, you might as well give up and just work on your cardio, because at least then you’d be able to run away.

Kenya is 85.5% Christian and 11% Muslim. In the latest Kenya Census, the regions where madrasas get high attendance, less males attend the university and, of course, far less females. It appears historically that Kenyan Islam gained a foothold through trade and had its growth curtailed a few times by European interference.
Nairobi seems to be the wealthiest city, 53% have a radio, 69% have a TV, 23% have a computer, 42% can get access to the internet, and most adults have a cell phone.
For most of Kenya mud houses with tin roofs are the most common and there are more families that have a cell phone than a TV.
Barak Obama was likely quite privileged as a youth related to a diplomat in Kenya. He also had no experience growing up in a nation where Islam had been brought by the sword which explains both his ability to move easily to Christianity and his soft view of Islam. Based on his comments about bibles, guns, and America not being a Chtistian nation, his most likely present belief is either Agnosticism or Atheism; yet avoiding any such claim to remain politically viable.

Other religions, such as Christianity, or other non-religious philosophies, have very high ideals for people to at least attempt to live up to, but Islam just seems to me to have incredibly low ideals. Islam always seems to be right down there in the gutter. Whether it is saying that Muslims should go out and murder non-Muslims, or saying that very young girls can be married off, or non-Muslim women can be raped or wives can be beaten, and so on, Islam has nothing but evil, extremely low ideals of behaviour. If you want to live a really evil life and yet feel the need to have a version of god that tells you it is all perfectly OK to behave that way, Islam is for you. Islam is totally barbaric and evil. That’s the way I see Islam at any rate. Islam encourages people to indulge in all sorts of evil behaviours.

Thanks for the comments, Keith O and Michael. I can find no redeeming features at all in Islam and I think it is, as you say, Keith O, because it has the sort of barbaric outlook that existed back in 7th century Arabia. The civilised people of the world have progressed a lot since then. Michael, John Quincy Adams’s summation of Islam has been my favourite for quite a few years. I think it was wikislam or some such collection of quotes about islam that I came across, maybe even 7 or 8 years ago, by people like Churchill, Alexis de Tocqueville and many others and they were all very good, ferocious criticisms of Islam’s nature, but I remember being impressed most of all by the words of John Quincy Adams. I thought he was spot on about the vile and unspiritual nature of Islam.

That’s true,gravenimage. Christians destroyed by Islam’s disgusting arrival. The way I see it, here is Islam in the 21st century and it is like looking way back into mankind’s dim, ancient, barbaric past. I look at Christianity, a much earlier belief system than islam, or even the civilised Greek philosophers, further back still, and they all seem to be a thousand kilometres ahead of islam’s backward, hideous rubbish, even though they are from a much earlier historical period.
