Christmas is seen as blasphemous, for Islam denies that Jesus is divine and considers it an insult to Allah to say so. (See, for example, Qur’an 4:171, which says “it is far removed from Allah’s transcendent majesty that he should have a son.”
“Security Forces in Pakistan Stop Christmas Day Terror Attack,” International Christian Concern, December 23, 2020:
12/23/2020 Pakistan (International Christian Concern) – Last week, security forces in Pakistan reportedly stopped a major terror attack planned to take place on Christmas Day in Peshawar. In a raid on a house in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber district, four terrorists, including the leader of a banned militant outfit, were arrested.
The arrests took place last Thursday, December 17, after a raid on a house in Sipah. Security forces arrested four terrorists, including Zakir Afridi, the commander of Lashkar-e-Islam.
Along with the terrorists, security forces seized three suicide jackets and six improvised explosive devices.
Pakistan’s Christian community is often targeted by terrorists and extremists. Terrorists view Christians and their places of worship as representations of the West and target them to make political statements….

On Christmas Day, churches around the world (if they are open) will be attacked by jihadic terrorists. The ‘Feast of the Incarnation’ (Christmas) is deeply offensive to Muslims.

Mortimer, The truth is deeply offensive to mudslimes.
Along other trivial things like peace, love, compassion, tolerance, etc, etc.

Grimly true, Mortimer.

Robert Spencer observes: “Qur’an 4:171 … says “it is far removed from Allah’s transcendent majesty that he should have a son.”
This notion of Allah being ‘above’ mere physicality is a notion borrowed from Gnosticism. It is evidence that Islam is a composite of plagiarisms from different religious texts confiscated by the Muslim marauders in libraries in Iraq during the time that the Koran was assembled. The internal evidence in the Koran shows it was plagiarized in the Mesopotamian region of Iraq … most likely in or near Kufa.

Pakistan’s national police force deserves a great deal of credit for stopping jihadists who want to massacre innocent Christians who merely want to worship as their church guides them to do. The practice of Christianity is protected under Pakistan’s constitution.
Well done.

Now, if only they can start taking seriously complaints by Christians, Hindu and Sikh parents of schoolgirls who are kidnapped, converted to islam and married…
Foiling this attempt saved Pakistan some more negative coverage in the world media, since Pakistan has lost just about all their sympathizers, except Turkey, China and Malaysia. And maybe Iran
LB says
Yeah, I wouldn’t bet on it if I were you. Individual muslim-on-non-muslim jihad terror cases are much easier to cover up and attract FAR LESS international media attention than huge jihad terror blasts. I bet the only reason they foiled this is to keep up the facade of “combating terrorism” whereas in reality they are some of the biggest perpetrators and supporters of islamic terrorism. Blasting a church full of Christians on Christmas day is not a good look. Bangladesh learned that the hard way.
Infidel says
Actually, LB, I was being facetious since n seems to be like the Bushes – took Pakistan’s prevention of this attack at face value as a commitment to being opposed to jihad terror

Actually, n, Christians are regularly and systematically persecuted in Pakistan. Glad they stopped this massacre, though.

I was in a local gun store the other day looking at concealed carry pistols (CCW).
The salesman, a certified NRA instructor, recommended a Sig Sauer .380 P238. He uses it as a backup for his Springfield 1911.
We got talking, he happens to be a devout Christian who provides security at a local church.
Nice to know that the “ushers” in the back of the church are packing heat…

Pakistan: Security forces foil Christmas Day jihad massacre
…………….
This is good. Given what Pakistani security forces are like, I’m rather surprised they didn’t join in, instead.

Or hold em back till BOXING Day, or as some say Smiting Day.
Infidel says
Maybe they were jealous that they didn’t get to initiate and drive it, and therefore cracked down in order to prove something to the FATF
commonsense says
Very true, graven. I was thinking exactly the same thing.

Thanks, commonsense.
