“Worship Structures in Sudan Burned, Christians Threatened,” Morning Star News, December 22, 2020:
NAIROBI, Kenya (Morning Star News) – Muslim extremists in Sudan who have burned down a church’s worship structure five times threatened to kill congregation members if they put up another tent and continue worshipping, sources said.
Police this month arrested nine of the 14 radical Muslims who burned down the temporary worship structures of the Sudanese Church of Christ (SCOC) in the Dar El-Salam area of Omdurman, across the Nile River from Khartoum, said the attorney representing the Christians, Shanbago Awad Mugadam.
Saying they didn’t want a Christian presence in the area, the extremists have burned down the structures on Jan. 19, 2019, and this year on Jan. 4, Jan. 19, Jan. 28, and Aug. 7, Mugadam and a Christian rights advocate told Morning Star News. The church decided to report the attacks to police after the Aug. 7 arson in spite of the threats.
When police refused to file a case, the church hired the attorney whose court actions resulted in police registering the case earlier this month and arresting the nine suspects. Five of the suspects remain at large.
After the Christians reported the attacks to police, one of the suspects told a church leader, “The presence of the church will destroy our generations,” Mugadam said.
The church has worshipped in the area since it began on Dec. 24, 1993. After the church’s building was burned down last year, the 150-member congregation set up tents to use for worship, with each one reduced to ashes along with Bibles and prayer books, sources said.
A Muslim extremist reportedly incited his son and 13 others to burn the church structures, according to the rights activist. Church members identified some of the 14 assailants.
The pastor of another SCOC church, the Rev. Kuwa Shamal, said the attacks were directed by Muslim extremists associated with the former National Congress Party (NCP), which was led by former President Omar al-Bashir.
“Radical Muslims have attacked the church more than one time, and the case has been filed against the attackers,” Pastor Shamal told Morning Star News….

Sudan has the same issue as Saudi Arabia. Their leaders may be willing to reform and make their countries less islamic and thereby less brutal, but their people are the problem. Which is why I’m not sure that setting goals for their leaders is gonna solve things
Sudanese Christians should hightail it into South Sudan while they still can
CogitoErgoSum says
So for how many generations to come will their streets remain unpaved? Meanwhile, Muslims are building new mosques all over the world. Got lots of money for that.
Infidel says
I actually think that’s slowed down, since the Gulf countries have started running short of cash to the extent that for the first time in their history, they have to consider budget cuts – something previously unheard of. It’s also why the Saudis are exploring new industries to get themselves off oil – that what the Neom project is all about
The ones funding the mosques now are Turkey and maybe Qatar, but even they are sitting on very weak economic foundations
CogitoErgoSum says
Well, when they do go to the mosques they’ve already built I wonder if they pray that it doesn’t rain so that they don’t get stuck in the parking lot. Or maybe they still have the money for paved parking lots. They seem to be able to afford fairly new looking cars … but maybe that picture was taken in the ritzy part of town.
CogitoErgoSum says
Hard for me to believe they aren’t able to quarry limestone in Sudan for making cement.

I love China. No talk, but keep this type of problem out.
Infidel says
But China keeps this problem in! It would be fine if they allowed their Uyghurs to flee to, say, Kazakhstan and stay there. Instead, they have treaties w/ most muslim countries to extradite any Uyghurs who seek refuge there. Then those extradited Uyghurs are put into slavery making sneakers for Nike or iPhones for Apple
Your ideal should be Burma, which kicks out the muslims, and then doesn’t care where they go!

“The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy.” Like father, like sons. satan is the “father of lies,” and he is the “thief” Jesus was speaking about. The demon snake teaches his willing children to follow his evil, rotten-to-the-core, example.
Just as satan the devil opposes Truth and actually fears it, his human children also fear Truth and oppose any persons who speak it. Hence, the arson and death threats. And death, if they get the opportunity.

Sudan: Muslims burn temporary worship structure for fifth time, threaten to kill Christians if they put up another
……………..
These poor Christians. So much for the new, more moderate Sudan…
Remaining Christians should get out to South Sudan.

Australia has a problem with Sudanese immigrants and other muslim immigrants from African countries. Here’s a 2019 doco for those who haven’t seen it. If Australia continues down this road, they will end up like South Africa, in I predict, the next 50 years.

No surprise there, Eleanor. Thank you for that link.
Infidel says
Yeah, I never bought into the new ‘moderate’ Sudan. Yeah, their new regime may have made all the right noises, but it’s just that their people were sick of 30 years of Omar el Bashir. But they’re not sick of islam – we’re not talking Iran here, and those people are true believers, and racist against blacks (I remember years ago in college, when a Sudanese foreign student explained that Sudanese are Arabs, not Africans (i.e. Blacks). Only thing better about Sudan is that they might stop their persecution of Darfur muslims
And yeah, while they are still relatively free – who knows when the next jihadist coup will bring in the next Omar el Bashir – the remaining Christians should move to South Sudan and work towards uplifting that country
Mojdeh says
Islam is barbaric in nature and will always never be reformed. Then leave this stupid religion for sake of Allah? This religion teaches you how make love with goats, camel etc.. and how to do it. Is not religion for no one?
Arthur says
they don’t want Christians but they want all kind of welfare off Christians, they want to live in Christians countries, every day they go by boat to Christian Europe
Giacomo Latta says
Now we know why there is a South Sudan. Better create South Sweden and South Germany while there’s still time.
Infidel says
All the Swedes would have to move into Lapland if they need to escape their muslim overlords. As for Germany, I have no idea where they might go – the Alps maybe? Or flee to Austria, which too is German speaking, but is more sane about confronting the muslim threat

Why is an American stimulus Bill giving $700,000,000 to Sudan?
