“This man is now the fifth person arrested by the AFP for breaching a control order since July 2020.”
Is it just remotely possible that maybe this approach doesn’t work and a new one is needed? Nonetheless, a new approach is not likely, as that would require the discarding of cherished fantasies about “deradicalization.”
“Two weeks out of jail, Radwan Dakkak allegedly accessed ‘material that supported beheadings,'” by Georgina Mitchell, Sydney Morning Herald, January 16, 2021 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
A man has been charged after he allegedly breached a court order less than two weeks after he was released from prison, by accessing online material that supported executions, beheadings and torture.
Radwan Dakkak, 25, from Denistone in Sydney’s north-west, was jailed for a maximum of 18 months in December last year on two charges of knowingly associating with a member of a terrorist organisation.
He was released with time served when his sentence expired on January 1 this year.
The day before he was released, the Federal Court imposed an interim control order on Mr Dakkak which included numerous conditions, including a curfew from 11pm to 5am, reporting daily to police at Parramatta, and a prohibition on accessing extremist material.
Mr Dakkak was arrested on Saturday by members of the High Risk Terrorist Offenders team after he allegedly breached the order….
AFP Acting Commander Alex Nicolson, who is in charge of enduring risk investigations, told a media conference on Saturday that Mr Dakkak had “an extremist ideology aligned to the ISIS terror network”.
“We will allege the man failed to comply with a condition of his control order by accessing material online that supported the carrying out of executions, beheadings and torture, less than two weeks since his release from jail,” Acting Commander Nicolson said.
“This man is now the fifth person arrested by the AFP for breaching a control order since July 2020.”…
When Mr Dakkak was sentenced last year, a NSW Supreme Court judge noted he was the first person to be prosecuted for the charge of associating with a member of a terrorist organisation.

Here is that mystery “extremist ideology” again. Or perhaps it is a different one. Does it have a name? It seems to occur quite frequently. Clearly some detective work is needed. This one is “aligned to the ISIS terror network”. That is a useful clue. Keep at it, Australian police. You may be the first to crack it.

The authorities refer to “extremist ideology” because they will be called names if they refer to ‘ISLAMISM’ or ‘JIHADISM’.
The Muslim ‘extremists’ are actually ‘JIHADISTS’, since they believe that jihad is the most important action a Muslim can do, even more important than prayer.
An Islamic website describes the pre-eminence of jihad: (Source: ‘Join the Caravan’)
“-Jihad is the highest peak of Islam.
“The highest peak of it is Jihad,” we find in authentic hadith reported on the authority of Mu`adh. Jihad is also the asceticism of this Ummah: “And you should perform Jihad, for it is the asceticism of this Ummah.”
-Jihad is the most excellent form of worship, and by means of it the Muslim can reach the highest of ranks.
Al-Fadl Ibn Ziyad said, “I heard Abu `Abdullah Ahmad Ibn Hanbal while he was talking about the enemy, and he began crying, saying there is no deed of righteousness better than fighting them.”
It was reported about him by others, that he said, “Nothing matches encountering the enemy, and face-to-face combat is the most excellent of deeds. Those who fight the enemy are the ones who protect Islam and its holy places, and what deed could be superior to that? People are safe while they are in fear, and they have contributed their very lifeblood.”
In Bukhari appears the following hadith: “In Heaven there are a hundred levels which Allah has prepared for those who perform Jihad in the Path of Allah; the difference between every (successive) pair of these is like the difference between heaven and earth.”

Jihadists will leave jihadism if the above texts and Koran are shown to be of human origin.

Mortimer, this is as you know just orthodox Islam. And I have never seen any cases where Muslims have been compelled to leave Islam at the urging of the ‘filthy Infidels’.
Michael Copeland says
See David Wood videos. There are many who leave as a result of what he exposes.
john smith says
Michael, I’m sure there are many who have left as a result of what you have also exposed. Many muslims are on the fence,it’s people like yourself and David that help them decide on what side of the fence they are going to be.
Keep up the good work.

But I don’t believe they can be de programmed.
Ray Fowler says
stop bringing muslim trash into this country, they contribute nothing to australia, other than being a burden on welfare.
mortimer says
‘Deradicalization’ in a Muslim can only take place when the Muslim sees convincing evidence that the Koran is of human origin. Once that process begins, a Muslim experiences such serious doubt that he is close to leaving Islam, if he has not left it on the spot.
The ‘perfect preservation’ claimed by Muslim apologists for decades has finally been exposed as a completely fraudulent claim. The reverse is true: the Koran shows signs of continuous tampering, human emendation, strange anomalies and ‘improvements’ through human intervention. These interventions prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the Koran has not been ‘perfectly preserved’ (far from it), and thereby proves that the claims of the Koran are false, and thus Islam’s basis is revealed as false.
That is the way to ‘deprogram’ or ‘deradicalize’ Muslims. Tell them the truth about the Koran and they will walk towards the exit.

Mortimer, your claim that Muslims all embrace the criticism of Islam is quite mistaken. Far from it–in fact, pious Muslims frequently threaten, attack, and murder critics of Islam.
Of course, we *should* tell the truth about Islam–but not because we assume that this means that all Muslims will instantly leave Islam on hearing the truth.
Michael Copeland says
Another potent influence on those learning that the Koran has not been perfectly preserved is the deeply unsettling and insulting discovery that their imams have been LYING to them all these years. That can only undermine confidence.

An extremist ideology? Yeah, it’s called Islam.

In Australia, we don’t have it as bad as some countries, say France, the UK, etc, because we have let less Muslims in, but, nevertheless, I lose track of these cases of would be Muslim terrorists. There are a lot of them. That 18 months sentence was bloody light, so, given that this guy has immediately gone back his beloved Muslim terrorist crap, it will be interesting to see whether they hammer him this time. Maybe a 5 or 10 year sentence instead of the tiny slap on the wrist he received for his first offence. Often these Muslims will come from suburbs with large numbers of Muslims, as you would expect, but, unless the very middle class and peaceful Sydney suburb of Denistone has changed a hell of a lot since I last went to that Sydney suburb years and years ago, that is not an area with many Muslims at all, unlike many suburbs which have definitely been overrun by Muslims.

………….
That pretty much says it all. He should have been deported after serving his sentence, if he is not a citizen.
