Turkey and Pakistan have joined forces to fight “Islamophobia.”
“Islamophobia,” to regimes such as Turkey and Pakistan, means to not offend Islam in the West. It is a means of exporting Islamic blasphemy laws and eroding the freedom of speech. Note how the real human rights violations in China against the Uighur Muslim community are virtually ignored by these two countries. The French teacher Samuel Paty, who was beheaded for “blasphemy,” however, became the focus of inordinate attention from both Pakistan and Turkey, as their delicate sensibilities became rattled over France’s implementation of measures to protect its freedom of speech and its citizens from the scourge of jihad violence and Islamic blasphemy laws.
To Turkey, Pakistan and all Islamic supremacists, countries which seek to protect themselves against Islamization are “Islamophobic.” All while the worst atrocities continue to be perpetrated against minorities in Pakistan, and Turkey abuses and bullies its way to achieving its goal of neo-Ottoman greatness. Both countries will be supported in their anti-Islamophobia drive by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which has been the driving force behind the Islamophobia canard for some time, and by the United Nations, which has reiterated that “countering Islamophobia is a top priority.”
Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has also announced that his country is deepening its “defence cooperation with Pakistan.”
“Turkey, Pakistan pledge to jointly work against Islamophobia,” Hürriyet Daily News, January 13, 2021:
Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Pakistani President Arif Alvi on Jan. 13 stressed the importance of working closely in joint efforts against Islamophobia, in the fight against hate crimes and other forms of intolerance against Islam.
Turkey has very good relations with Pakistan, Alvi said at a meeting with Çavuşoğlu and stressed that Ankara and Islamabad should boost economic and cultural relations. Turkey’s investments in Pakistan reached over $1 billion, he said. Pakistan should take advantage of investment opportunities in Turkish businesses, the Pakistani president noted.
Çavuşoğlu, for his part, expressed Turkey’s desire to improve trade relations with Pakistan and said it would continue to encourage Turkish companies to invest in this country.
Turkey’s record in the international arena will continue to support Pakistan, he stated and thanked Pakistan’s support to Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
Çavuşoğlu is paying a three-day visit to Pakistan where he will participate in a trilateral meeting with his Pakistani and Azerbaijani counterparts.
During his visit, Çavuşoğlu was first received by the president of the country and was conferred with Pakistan’s highest state award “Hilal-i-Pakistan” by Alvi.
Pakistan and Turkey agreed to pursue a joint strategy on matters of mutual interests at the international level, according to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry….

Turkey has found the perfect partner in their adventurism: they want to revive the Ottoman caliphate and celebrate all those Turkic empires in history, and Pakistan has their own wet dreams of a Ghazwa-e-Hind. Turkey should admit Pakistan into their Turkic council, since Pakistan celebrates the Turkic sultanates that ruled India as well as the Mughal empire – all of whom Turkey celebrates as well.
India should, in addition to the economic sanctions that they have on Turkey, downgrade diplomatic relations w/ them as well: kick them out of Delhi, and recall their envoys to Ankara and Istanbul. Start treating Turkey in the same way that they used to treat Israel during the Nehru-Gandhi era for their first 40 years. Oh, and move their Israeli embassy to Jerusalem, just to piss off the Turks

What is the reason for the islamophobia’? Is it because they dress different? no Is it because they pray? no Is it that the follow the Supremacy of he Qur’an using every technique they can: Political, diplomatic, population, separation, education (Propaganda), training centers right here in usA? Islam is Supremacist. that means No Diversity. USA is diversity. Supremacists on the left and supremacists on the right are a bad recipe for no good oow always ending i war. There can be NO Supremacy in USA by definition of the word=Supremacy allows no diversity. it works endlessly to make all be with the ordained Supreme one and onlys.By definition, Supremacy cannot co-exist with other of diverse ways because they are at odds and rankled by difference. They cannot allow it. It is this way that they are that make islamophobia because no on wants to be bullied into their one and only Supreme way of life……NO period NO we despise their way of life and all thei culturalrules.traditions. Islamophobia is realistic resistance of normal people.with diverse backgrounds.(Mosques out to be close for what they teach much like Hitler taught the German people of their Supremacy.)

juleonly, well said, except that we ‘despising’ Islamic beliefs and way of life, their violence, intolerance, bigotry, hatred, imbecilic utterances and hate-filled holy book, does not add up to ‘Islamophobia’. It is the natural aversion, reaction or detestation, of civilized people to something that is ugly and has no merit.

Pakistan is now culturally more under Turkish influence. For instance, the Turkish tele-series Ertagrul – a serial about the father of Osman, the founder of the Ottoman empire – while resented and banned in the Arab world, is/was a big hit in Pakistan. This is a new axis, and since Pakistan is also a stooge of Beijing, this will form a Beijing-Islamabad-Ankara axis. Might even include Teheran

Pakistan and Bangladesh were also the only 2 countries to recognize the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus when it declared its independence in the 80s (aside from Turkey itself). They dropped the recognition due to pressure from the Reagan administration, but in Pakistan’s case, since we have no clout w/ them, there is no reason for them not to revert to recognizing North Cyprus. Heck, just like they don’t recognize Armenia or Israel as sovereign countries, they can re-recognize Cyprus, and say that they recognize all of Cyprus as North Cyprus
Just like their imaginary maps that show not just Kashmir, but parts of Gujarat as well as parts of Pakistan. Since they live in an alternate reality

Walter Sieruk says
The declared goal of Turkey and Pakistan to put forth an effort to combat and oppose international “Islamophobia ” is actually putting forth joint effort against Islamorealism.
Meaning those two Islamic countries are attempting to set up a smokescreen and cover up of the truth about the dangerous violence and of killing and even mass murder that is one strong part the entire essence of the religion of Islam.
Therefore those disingenuous spokesmen of Turkey and Pakistan will engage together in a massive Muslim disinformation campaign to be deceive and beguile naïve and uninformed Westerners as well the non-Muslim people of Asia and the nations of the Orient about the reality of doctrines ,teaching behavior of the followers non-watered -down hard -core Quran based Islam.
This deliberate effect of deception is called Taqiyya .Which of Muslim doctrine that lying and deceit are good things to do as it’s done for advancement of Islam with its Sharia law.
Some of the many lies spoken ,written and printed by the propagandist for Islam the lying claim the “Islam respects women.”
This is a false claim and outright lie .Islam is an religion of brutal, cruel oppressive and even murderous misogyny
Another Muslim propaganda claim is the statement that “Islamic is a peaceful non- violent religion.”
This claim have been proven invalid and bogus because the horrible cruel brutal violence of Islam has been exposed by the teaching of the Qu ‘ran from the Qu ‘ran that instructs in violence and killing for the cause off Islam
Another falsehood declared by the apologists and propagandist for Islam is the completely and totally statement that the word “Islam” means ” peace. The truth is the word “Islam” means “submission.”
The scheme of the official Muslim spokesmen Pakistan and Turkey to hide the truth about actual realty Quran and Hadith instructions of which Islam is based Islam on as the foundation for the Islamic theology of the ideology of the jihad which composed of killing and violence
This is the inspiration for Muslims to engage in the murderous violence of Islamic terrorism.
Shame and disgrace on Tukey and Pakistan for joining together in a join effort to deceive and beguile the world by trying to hide the reality of the truth about Islam on an international level.

What this means is more threats, more terrorism, more clamps on the freedom to express the Truth about islam and the evil it encourages in moslims who slave for it; to the detriment of everyone.
Since the true definition of the so-called “phobia” is telling the Truth, hearing the Truth, and believing the Truth regarding islam, those two governments are bent on terrorizing…causing real fear…in everyone who is non moslim in order to shut them up. (Any moslim who wishes to leave the filthy evil is already too afraid if they haven’t made the move to leave.)
underbed cat says
The OIC stands for the “Organization of Islamic Conference,” it is a organized voting block of Islamic countries that meets in the U.N. in New York City, that devised and passed a clever resolution called 1618,years ago to suppress any criticism of Islam even if true and to criminalize Americans with penalties. The American Constitution 1st amendment, protects free speech and you are not in trouble unless your speech is not truthful. Sharia law of Islam does not have free speech even if true, and was trying to demand that the United States comply….or face criminal penalties…that can go as far as death. If that shocks you, it is common sharia law and it uses the word racism although it is not a race and they have tried to get Americans to comply, that was the strategy that they had to implement it slowly for no resistance if it is framed as racist it could fool people and not interfere with the narrative that sharia law is not compatible and eventually would be insisted upon. So they could enter in large numbers, into the west appearing peaceful, quickly enter into political positions and teach this from grade school forward till today, the grown youngsters want tyranny.
Russia is not doing this to our society this is pure Islam and sharia law , that same Islam that flew planes into the towers on 9/11 another part of sharia that required a fawah and authorization to attack from the teachings. Here we are today free speech is now being restricted and we are being censored by the tech companies….we are now in real danger and this is only a power of a foreign law we should never comply or allow this to be done.by the leftist socialist influenced by sharia tyranny. We know it here, but many do not and may not see the problem such as media and leftist politicians hiding their plans.
somehistory says
“you are not in trouble unless your speech is not truthful.”
In many cases people lie like cheap carpet and are “not in trouble.”
Politicians do that daily. And so do many others. Freedom of speech laws in the U.S….were at least…very broad as to what could be said and what would cause a person “trouble.”
But, I do agree with your comment on the whole.
underbed cat says
There is another problem that the claim of “incitement to violence”, has a different standard and sharia seems to find truth to be a incitement to violence….a cultural religious political thought, imposing sharia law on Americans should be against the constitution and null and void. But there is a organized foreign and domestic money trail problem in my opinion that is trying to remove our rights. Twitter censorship may be a tactic to silence a person and apparently reach the President this is insane and dangerous…unforturnately terror groups are plugged in to social media and use and all different ways to communicate. This may sound crazy but I beleive they are influencing commercial ads as communication signals…..by using certain words like “rise up”….etc I watched one ad and was floored by the combination of words used. Just wonder if any one has ever noticed.
somehistory says
If an ad company has no integrity, it will accept money to produce ads that its employees may not like, but the money soothes the ruffled feathers, or the employee finds another job.
Part of the problem today, and it’s a very large part, is there is little integrity or morals in the population to influence what is put out for public consumption.
The job of the media used to be to tell the public about what to think, but not what to think about the subject. Now, most of them also tell the public what to think about the subject…to like it or dislike it, to accept it as true or false, and then to act accordingly.
I have noticed many ads that come right out with it, and many more that are subtle in their approach to make us all think as they want us to. So many have moslim things….it’s somewhat difficult for me to see clearly, but so many of the emojis have women with headcoverings rather than hairdos showing. Not all women wear head scarves…the majority don’t, but how many of the emojis are women with bare heads? Weren’t these created to express feelings/emotions/activities engaged in?
Yep, ads no longer just tell us what to think about…but what to think; what attitude to have about what they show us. And the “news” is the same way, which it was never meant to do. That used to be the “editorial opinion” on an inside page, now it’s the “news.” It’s what we are supposed to accept as True.
Infidel says
You mention the OIC, but one thing to note here: Pakistan and Turkey are doing their thing independent of the OIC, since Turkey’s actively challenging the Saudi leadership of that organization, and Pakistan’s actively supporting Turkey since the Saudis refuse to support them against India. Saudi Arabia notably has not been jumping up and down accusing others of ‘islamophobia’, since they’re trying to improve their reputation in the non-muslim world. Which is why this thing is being driven not by the OIC, but by Turkey and Pakistan.
Of course, as Christine notes, neither country does a thing about the real persecution of Uyghur muslims in Xinjiang

A loser leader backing a loser country. This should turn out well. If the Western leaders weren’t so blinded by fear they would find the efforts by these rogue countries laughable. Every person seeking citizenship to a first rate free nation should swear an oath to uphold the laws of that nation forsaking all other laws (including sharia laws). There should be a twenty year probationary period wherein if said nation’s laws are violated the probationary citizen should be sent back to their country of origin. Muslims in particular have made it impossible to continue to grant
the same status to new arrivals as those who
trace their loyalty and fidelity back many generations. Their affiliation in a group organized around a proto-nazi ideaology must not be taken lightly.

The question is not why is there Islamophobia but how can there not be? It is the most rational response there is to this bloodthirsty ideology.
underbed cat says
Exactly Otter…..the problem is the irrational are not curious to inform themselves since they have cleverness to use tactics and they claim information is hostile and racist haters the perferct words to use to stop thought, or curiosity unless they know what what doctrine requires, commands to terror the appearance and deception is to keep that information denied and it is well practiced and not totally understood of since it appears the cover is just peaceful religion with no connection to terror but they are groups who are following a doctrine. So truthful free speech is is a exposure not welcome.

Turkey and Pakistan on the human rights scale of one to ten rank about a Three. Islam can do away with islamophobia fairly quickly by changing the teaching of violence, terror and human rights. As long as islam allows and promotes killing of non-islamic people, slavery, forced marriages, destruction of other religions places of worship there will be outrage against Islam.
James Lincoln says
Even the people at Merriam-Webster are woke:
“Definition of Islamophobia:
irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against Islam or people who practice Islam”
Irrational???
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Islamophobia
somehistory says
The primary definition should be “word coined by the oic, a moslim org that wants to enforce its code of behavior on the world of humankind, by whatever means they are able, including the use of this word, along with the threats of violence if we don’t choose to agree.”
the secondary “definition” could be what they now have.
The dictionary company most likely has employed a lot of moslims or those who suffer from the ‘phobia.’ And not in the way moslims claim. No one should give in to the fear that moslims try to instill. It only makes the moslims bolder and more violent (when more violence is possible.)

“Islamophobia” means an irrational fear of Islam.
But Islam preaches the forced submission of Infidels to its vicious creed, though violence if necessary. And Islam has a long and ugly history of doing just that. So non-Muslims fearing Islam is *not* irrational.
‘Then, the term “Islamophobia” is *very* recent coinage. “Rod” pretening that this is a longstanding and immutable fixture of the English language is *quite* dishonest.

I’m intrigued by Douglass-Williams’ opening statement:
“Islamophobia,” to regimes such as Turkey and Pakistan, means to not offend Islam in the West.
Does this nonsense make sense to anybody? Does anybody ask? Or doesn’t it really matter? And of corse nobody mentions that Islamophobia, pure and undiluted, is what this site is all about. What simple minded dupes you all are.

When you say that you ‘detest bigots’, it’s obvious that you do not consider jihadists ‘bigots’. Otherwise there’s no way that you’d not have condemned Pakistan’s routine kidnapping of underaged non-muslim girls (Christian AND Hindu AND Sikh) and their forced ‘marriages’ and rape

The idea that Turkey and Pakistan–of all places!–are working to end religious hatred is ludicrous. Turkey recently turned Christendom’s great Hagia Sofia into a Mosque, has overssen the beheading of Christians in Armenia, and threatens Europeans who criticize Islam; and Pakistan regularly allows the kidnapping and forced conversion of Christian girls and sentences people to death for daring to criticize Islam.
How does any of *this* “resist the effects of religious hatred”? Of course, “Rod” does not say.
