“Yes. And that is that, you know, even at the seeming height of the crisis immediately after 9/11, there really weren’t that many members of al-Qaida in Afghanistan. And the thrust of our campaign there was, yes, to hunt down al-Qaida, but primarily to remove the supportive environment in which they were able to live and to flourish.”
That means Grenier doesn’t just want to destroy Trump (as he explains in the section not reproduced below) and hunt down those who actually committed crimes at the Capitol. He wants to crush legitimate political dissent and hunt down Americans who oppose the far-Left agenda as if they were terrorists. This has been a long time coming. But only now is it being repeated at the highest levels by people with power and influence.
“Former CIA Officer: Treat Domestic Extremism As An Insurgency,” by Mary Louise Kelly, NPR, February 2, 2021:
When it comes to domestic extremists such as those who stormed the Capitol, a longtime CIA officer argues that the U.S. should treat them as an insurgency.
That means using counterinsurgency tactics — similar in some ways to those used in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Robert Grenier served as the CIA’s station chief for Pakistan and Afghanistan in 2001. He went on to become the CIA’s Iraq mission manager and then director of the CIA Counterterrorism Center from 2004 to 2006.
“We may be witnessing the dawn of a sustained wave of violent insurgency within our own country, perpetrated by our own countrymen,” Grenier wrote in The New York Times last week. And without national action, he argues, “extremists who seek a social apocalypse … are capable of producing endemic political violence of a sort not seen in this country since Reconstruction.”
In an interview with All Things Considered, Grenier discusses what that national action would mean.
As someone who has watched many violent insurgencies unfold in various countries around the world, what felt the same to you? What felt different?
I don’t want to be one to suggest that somehow the United States is going to in any way resemble Iraq or Afghanistan at the height of violence. But what I think is useful is to have some way of thinking about the problem and thinking through the elements of the solution. So I think as in any insurgency situation, you have committed insurgents who are typically a relatively small proportion of the affected population. But what enables them to carry forward their program is a large number of people from whom they can draw tacit support. And that’s what I’m primarily concerned with here. I think what is most important is that we drive a wedge between those violent individuals and the people who may otherwise see them as reflecting their interests and fighting on their behalf….
You were station chief in Islamabad on 9/11, which meant it suddenly became your problem to find and kill or capture Osama bin Laden and other senior al-Qaida leaders. Without comparing American citizens to al-Qaida, are there lessons that you take from that?
Yes. And that is that, you know, even at the seeming height of the crisis immediately after 9/11, there really weren’t that many members of al-Qaida in Afghanistan. And the thrust of our campaign there was, yes, to hunt down al-Qaida, but primarily to remove the supportive environment in which they were able to live and to flourish. And that meant fighting the Taliban. And I think that is the heart of what we need to deal with here. Hunting down people who are criminals, that is something that which U.S. law enforcement is very well capable of doing and doing while preserving fundamental civil rights. That’s in some ways the easiest part of the problem. The difficult part of the problem is affecting the environment within which violent elements otherwise would be able to thrive.

Robert Grenier proposes to imprison members of a legal political party because their political views are not his own. This is hysterical.
Frank Anderson says
His proposal by itself may be criminal. If carried into action, I have no doubt it would be a government conspiracy to violate civil rights under color of law, and definitely criminal under existing federal law. But did any similar law stop the Nazi’s from beheading Sophie Scholl for distributing leaflets? What is this rabid creature doing on the federal payroll? Is he any different from Heinrich Himmler or Reinhard Heydrich? If so, how?

You’re welcome, John Smith.
Here’s a little more from this woman’s account.
” We need to be silenced, shamed, and/or monitored a la Minority Report. Many of us who attended the January 6th event feel like this event is being used to remove us, and enact Orwellian abuses of free speech in America.
This is already beginning, as Biden and others in Congress declare “war” on domestic “terrorism.” A term that Trump supposedly was seeking to suppress. Ex-CIA Director John Brennan said, “Biden’s intel community are moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about the pro-Trump insurgency that harbors religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians.”
New domestic terrorism legislation — the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act (DTPA) of 2021 — would vastly expand the powers of the police state. Did you know that Joe Biden has often boasted about being the original author of the U.S. Patriot Act? The first draft of the civil rights-eroding Patriot Act was magically introduced one week after the 9/11 attacks. Sound familiar? Hegelian even?
The Organic Pepper writes that DTPA is essentially the criminalization of speech, expression, and thought. There is a special focus on white supremacists.”
She wrote 4 other parts…this is the last in the series on this subject…at least, for now.
https://www.activistpost.com/2021/02/the-storming-of-the-capitol-inciting-insurrection-or-false-flag-attack-part-5.html?
somehistory says
Everyone should search Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021. Rep Upton r-MI is introducing the bill with a bunch of d’s.
It will “focus their resources on the most significant threats.” “with specific focus on white supremacists.”
“…state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies…in understanding, detecting, deterring, and investigating acts of domestic terrorism and white supremacy.”
“…establish an interagency task force to combat white supremacist infiltration of the uniformed services and federal law enforcement.”
So with H.R. 350 it will no longer be allowed to feel proud to be White, without even doing anything about it, because this will be considered a crime. Because they will “focus on domestic terrorism….and white supremacy.”
Isn’t this what bm and antifa were demanding? Gotta’ be sorry for being White. Being White and not being sorry, even without any “terrorism,” will be investigated, etc.
Most White people are not in the cat of “supremacists,” but most are not sorry that they were born White. We can only guess who will be the ones deciding just what constitutes the level of “supremacist.” Probably some accurate guesses.

“I am often amazed at what I can say to groups of primarily white people. I can describe our culture as white supremacist and say things like, “All white people are invested in and collude with the system of racism,” without my fellow white people running from the room or reeling from trauma.”

This kind of extreme leftist ‘cancel culture’ that Grenier is advocating, is like an insidious cancer that is creeping through every sinew of our society. They first love to label innocent people with opposing points of view, as insurgents, terrorists, racists, Islamophobes, bigots, white supremacists and every other kind of demeaningful name imaginable, just to justify their absurd allegations and to garner sympathetic support from those in society who don’t have the ability to see through their evil lies. And they’re very good at it, to the point they even believe it themselves! It’s as though they’ve been tutored by Satan himself!
Grenier, like many others like him, now openly propose literally ‘eradicating’ anyone who’s political views are not like theirs, and they will lie, cheat and extort their way into every position of power necessary to obtain the power they need to do it. Turning our society into a totalitarian communist state, just as the Chinese CCP would like it to become.
A very good example of this is the US election itself, which from the evidence I’ve seen was clearly fraudulent in every way, but they still succeeded in taking power purely because all avenues of law and order had been previously infiltrated by members of their evil elite club, who together undermined the American Constitution in every way possible. They knew their widespread fraud was going to succeed this time, because they had people strategically placed everywhere they needed them to be. Such that any claims from the right of fraud and vote irregularities, would instantly be ridiculed, mocked and derided in every way, and then closed down thereby avoiding any form due process.
Why do you thing the Capital Hill riot started EXACTLY at the time the Senate (Ted Cruz & Co) was just about to challenge and present details of the fraud? Something that was just pushed aside as a result of the riot?
Not once did Trumps legal team have an opportunity to present their huge amount of evidence, because at every legal stage their attempts were disallowed for the most shallow and irrelevant of reasons. And because they’ve managed to get away with it in such a blatant unchallenged way, it now sets a precedence for anyone on the left to have any of their normally ridiculous leftist proposals, now passed into law. And I fear that motions like this idiot Grenier is advocating, will also be passed into law in a similar way.
Just prepare yourselves for more like it in the future, because the only way anything is going to change is by means of a civil war breaking out, because now the far left are in power, they are going to make absolutely sure they are going to stay there come what may!

aoc said that she received an email…before the 6th… telling her of “danger’ that would be happening.
The FBI said the pipe bombs were placed near the building the day before the speech and the riot that was blamed on the speech. No one knows why these didn’t explode.
Messages were exchanged with the antif/bm members to show up in maga hats and incite trouble.
DHS warned of trouble, but offers of extra LE were turned down.
And the senators who had said they would hold out for an investigation , didn’t, with only a couple of exceptions…and the ones who didn’t keep their word said it was because of the violent riots.
So, just who was behind the riots, and which side did it help? The answers are obvious.
Rufluc says
As you say, the riot was clearly pre planned. Read this article:

Snippets from the above article:

Meanwhile, AOC is also now inadvertently saying there was a plan, given that on February 1st, during an Instagram Live, she stated that one week before the insurrection, she started to get text messages that she needed to be careful on the 6th. Those text messages she said came from other members of Congress.
If there were any plot in motion, how can we blame Trump or even spend time and energy impeaching him?
b)
In addition to his ‘army,’ Trump was clearly hurt by what happened. Not only censored off social media. That day, 13 legislators were going to contest the slate of electors, but the “wild,” arguably staged event disrupted that process. The joint session was effectively suspended until shortly after 8:00 p.m. and by that time, the number of states objecting had dwindled.
Was another advantage of this arguable false flag to stop or disrupt those proceedings?
Contrary to the Deep State spinoff official narrative, storming a building with U.S. flags and taking selfies and pictures in the building is a sure-fire way NOT to overthrow a government.
In the end, it seems a perfect storm was able to sweep any mention of election fraud under the rug.
As Patrick Byrne writes, “We had a national election that appears to have been compromised in a remarkably precise yet strategic way, it shows the hand of foreign involvement, it may be part of a Chinese psyop to take over our country, and there might never be a free, non-goon election in America again.”
James Lincoln says
somehistory says,
“So, just who was behind the riots, and which side did it help?”
That is a question that I have been asking myself since January 6th – and the answer is becoming more and more obvious…
Rufluc says
As I pointed out above James, the timing of the riot happened at the point when Republican senators (Ted Cruz) were challenging the legitimacy of the electoral votes from the 6 swing states. Votes that mysteriously ‘all swung’ over to Biden, after all simultaneously stopped counting at the same time for a few hours in the early hours, before all restarting again at around the same time 3-4 hours later. I understand this didn’t happen in any of the other 44 states.
All through the counting process, the Trump team came up against one hurdle after another, as did all independents who were also attempting to challenge the results and the unconstitutional changes to the rules that were happening.
Clearly there was a coordinated plan put in place to ‘win at any cost’, no doubt instigated and sanctioned by prime members of the democrat party. I think you’ll know who I mean without me spelling out their names. Clearly it more than ‘helped’ the Democrats. It enabled them to pull off the scam of the century, and it seems no-one can do a thing about it! Anyone who does, get’s ‘cancelled’ and their livelihood is ‘wrecked’.
These indeed are worrying times.

Yes and that would be a great tool for those with nefarious purposes to use today. Can you think of a greater liberty destroying instance in US history than 9-11? Too many things since don’t add up. We need to start asking questions. If I were up to something nefarious, something that I wanted to keep under wraps the last thing I would want is for you to start asking questions. After 9-11 we went to Afghanistan to root out bin laden but he wasn’t home he was next door in Pakistan, our ally. And look now, mostly what we got out of is is massive debt and now labeled as al Qaeda. If you believe all of this is happening in a bubble you need to research what has been going on in America for the last 100 or so years.
gravenimage says
tgusa, you think that Muslims waging violent Jihad “doesn’t add up”? That it was all done by the ‘filthy Infidels’ to make Mulims look bad?
What about the 38,000 + Jihad terror sttacks all over the world *since* 9/11? All the Infidels as well? And what about the previous 1400 years, where Muslims have been waging violent Jihad? Is this all the US, as well–including the 1150 or so years when we didn’t even exist?
And what has the US done over the past 100 years that has led you to beleive that we are behind Jihad terror? Defeat Fascism, maybe?
And the problem was our thinking that terrorism-loving Pakistan was an ally. They are not–and the Taliban and other Jihadists constantly slip across the Afghan-Pakistani border. This is not a secret.
And it sounds as though you don’t believe that Al Qaeda and other Jihadists exist. What are you even doing here at Jihad Watch, then?

Why have false flags got us embroiled in so many undeclared wars? Why have so many wars been fought under the banner of multinational alliances when 90 percent of the war fighters have been Americans? Why has the dollar lost over 90 percent of its value over the last 100 years? Why are there so many rules and regulations that inhibit liberty and prosperity for the American people? Of course, you can sneer at my hating Islam–but I have good reason to. And the idea that I never contribute anything here save saying “God, I hate Islam” is quite false. Then, my opposing Jihad and Shari’ah are not just confined to Jihad Watch.
And you do not explain how if you think that 9/11 was a “false flag” operation–the ‘filthy Infidels’ murdering their own people to make Islam look bad–that other Jihad terror attacks are the real thing. How many are supposedly done by Americans?

The idea that one is not allowed to condemn Jihad terror on certain threads here is *very* odd.
There is no doubt that the US should have done more after 9/11 to prevent more Muslims entering the US–President Bush himself proposed a “Muslim ban” similar to that later adopted by President Trump, before backpedalling in the face of criticism.
But saying that the US not doing more to prevent more Jihad terror attacks means that they were responsible for 9/11 is just bizarre.
And the idea that defending against Jihad means that every Muslim was considered a potential Jihadist is quite false. US authorities bend over backward to make clear that this was not the case.
And the obsession with “white supremacists” is recent–just since Trump was elected. This was not an obsession right after 9/11.
No, Jihad terror is *not* the only problem in the US–but the claim that Infidels are waging Jihad is not a problem at all–but the idea of it is.
Claiming that Jihad is actually being waged by Americans and not Muslims is both grotesque and very harmful.
And actually, the average American is living much better than they did a hundred years ago–they live longer, have better health care, are better educated, have more opportunity, and far more labor-saving devices, many of which did not even exist a hundre years ago–including computers and the internet.

I am glad you are voicing your thoughts and opinions. “9/11 was a “false flag”. I never stated that. “responsible for 9/11”. Once again I never stated that. Anything else you would like to say that I stated that I didn’t state? Rethinking does not equate to putting the blame on anyone. If you believe that there isn’t a pro jihad element within the establishment I would call that a bit naive. I have my thoughts and opinions and you have yours as it should be. Of course, you don’t have to clarify what you are saying–but to want to obfuscate what you *do* believe here makes little sense to me.

If we go into the way back machine, we recall who was in the WH for 8 years before 9/11. He had several chances to get bin laden…and didn’t even try. His wife had a lot to do in his admin.
Just consider a few of the things for which she was responsible or had a hand in:
When she was sos, Benghazi murders, arms and ammo to syria, Gaddaffi assassinated…about which she laughed loudly…; the “disgusting video” for which a guy went to prison; her help in egypt to get morsi and the mb into power there; the help and advice she gave to the oic in 2011 in order to stop Americans from telling/learning the Truth about islam and its evil…”have to shame Americans” due to the First Amendment, no law can be written, so the “phobia,” idea ..And who, besides her and her henchmen, knows what else she has done to empower moslims and spread islam?
Now, in 1992, there was the mb manifesto about taking over and “destroying the miserable house from within,” the U.S. What did she and her hubby think about that? Did they want it? Sure seems like they didn’t **not** want it, at least, not very much.
It is not a “theory” of “conspiracy” to believe that the moslims who attacked the U.S. on 9/11 had American help…perhaps some in high government positions…perhaps some who were non moslim…at the time…perhaps some who were moslim and had attained positions in order to “destroy the miserable house from within.”
Look who is in the House now…has been for some years…and is all for the destruction of the country.

A couple of other things just came to mind about h clinton.
When she was sos, her sidekick was the moslim woman married to the weiner pervert who saw the shared emails.
Now, that moslim woman, huma abdin, was the daughter of a moslim high up in the mb and her mother was high up in the female version of the mb.
Question: how long did she know this moslim woman who worked so closely with her that she shared clinton’s emails with her husband?
Did she know her and her infamous parents while she was the “first non-lady ” female in the WH?
If so, what things did clinton share with these moslims who were part of the big terror funding, organization…the one that had an offshoot called al queda and whose founder was another mb member, obl?
What things did h clinton…and perhaps even b clinton, share with this couple that could then be shared with obl?

“But what I think is useful is to have some way of thinking about the problem and thinking through the elements of the solution.”
Does this sentence sound as stupid to others as it does to moi?

Public Radio is where these creeps always float their ideas first. If you want to hear what crazy ideas will be coming at you in a few weeks, take a leather strap, bit down on it hard, and turn on public radio.
You will suffer horribly, but that’s the price of knowing tomorrows headlines.

This guy was spreading conspiracy theories about how evil America is, that poverty in S America is caused by the US, all evil in the world origins in the US. He speaks fluently KGB agitprop rhetoric. How come that he had such important position in the CIA? He is a liability.
Ben There says
The CIA has morphed into a type of neo Cheka political police right out of 1917 Russia, and they are the servants of the New Democrat Bolsheviks.
Grenier seems to be looking forward to sending people into Chicom type re- education camps. Like most Chekists- he serves the state and will do their bidding.

……………………
Just *terrifying* insanity. But I have seen this madness building for some time.
My local news radio station KCBS tried to out Trump voters in the Haight-Ashbury district in San Francisco right after the election (3% of voters there voted for Trump). First they tried to find Trump voters, and when they came up empty, they asked people on the street if they knew any Trump voters. No one did. When one person opined that they must live in Ashbury Heights (a somewhat wealthier area adjacent to the main part of the Haight) radio personnel asked everyone subsequently if they thought the Trump voters lived there. I was surprised they didn’t start handing out pitchforks and torches, The whole tone–in what was supposed to be an objective newscast–was just frightening.

Similarities between 1930s Germany in America are impossible to ignore. Just replace Jews with Trump supporters and it does look scary.

The photo shown makes him appear related to George Bush. Is he trying to (desperately) establish his loyalty via this pathetic, hysterical suggestion? It seems secession/split is the only non-violent answer.

Is that why gun sales in America are soaring?

What is the major difference between the democrat party and its ideological forebearers, the Soviets and the N-zis? The dems haven`t yet been able to turn the USA into a 1 party totalitarian state….but, this may well happen before the 2022 elections, if the American people who identify with our constitution and traditional values don`t coalesce into a strong resistance to halt the ongoing suppression and repression that Biden has begun in just the first 2 weeks of his fraudulent presidency.

This is very disturbing, coming from the former head of an agency that spies on people and eliminates people. This is no different from the KGB.

Who does he work for? Seems he has forgotten as has most of these bureaucratic employees of the C.I.A. and the F.B.I. Your jobs are to protect the American public not political parties. The Constitution of The United States should be your FIRST RULE OF LAW.

JFK wanted to break the cia in to a thousand pieces and scatter them in the wind and that was 50 years ago. This unhinged loon is the poster child (look at that face) behind that reasoning.
Every time he pulls in to his driveway a thousand toilets flush in the community.

We can all observe the actions now to enable islam, jihad, terrorism, takeover by moslims in high places…now…because those who are aiding and abetting are doing it openly. They are so bold that they don’t feel the need to hide, to work in secret, to lie and pretend that they really do care about innocent people who just wish to keep their freedoms intact.
In the recent past, they did feel the need to hide and work in secret, to work behind the scenes, to help moslims take over for islam, to wage terror attacks, and to implement their evil code so that everyone must bow down to their fake ‘god’ and their false “prophet.”
Just as moslims increase in numbers in a given place and then begin to act bolder, more aggressive, more demanding, and as though they have nothing to fear from the **authorities,** the ones enabling moslims in this also have increased in numbers, and in power so they feel bolder, more aggressive, demanding, and as though they have nothing to fear from the **population** at large.
Jesus Christ gave an angel the Revelation to give to the Apostle John, so that we could know these things were coming upon the earth and to understand why; to know what to do and not to do in order to survive the onslaught by satan the devil, his demon angels, and his human children.
There is a grocery chain in Florida, named Publix. It is a favorite of many people, including me. They contributed to Mr. Trump’s campaign. They are being boycotted. The My Pillow guy, Lindel, has had his product removed from shelves in several stores across the country, because he supported Mr. Trump.
Everyone knows about the mega media sites, etc. that have denied access to thousands for the same reason. They have denied people just because they asked questions, or didn’t go along with the new ‘ministry of truth’ …really, lies…big ones…and toe the line.
The Bible in Revelation says that the “wild beast, the image of the beast, the false prophet”, and satan himself, would demand worship upon the threat of death…and…that those people not supporting these, and thereby not having the “mark of the beast,” would not be allowed to “buy and sell.”
Everyone should just expect things to get much, much worse.

I have a guy who owns a franchise oriented business who keeps texting and emailing me to invest in his venture. I keep asking him the same question, why, under these circumstances should I even consider that when I could be run out of business by the smallest infraction of the leftist code of conduct? But yet he continues on, texting me, emailing me. He is persistent, a bit blind but persistent, I will give him that.
somehistory says
Any one who believes that they can start a business, or even remain in an established business, without giving in and doing things “their way,” is, at least slightly, delusional.
It would have to be something that would not attract the attention of anyone, anywhere.
My ex-mother-in-law used to say, “They have their spies.”
Recently, as of yesterday, there was in one of my emails, a “see something, say something,” about this very thing. If a person “sees” something being done that looks “suspicious,” they are under legal obligation to “say” something to the authorities.
“Suspicious” has taken on a whole new meaning, too.
tgusa says
You got all that right. Risky business has taken on a whole new meaning as well.

i have lived through more than my share of hurricanes. During the last few decades, the weather and news people use the term “hunker down.” Privately, I hate the phrase…over used and foolish sounding for protecting from high winds and lots of rain. Anyway,
it means stay put, don’t venture out…as many people do, on piers out into the Atlantic or Gulf…and wait until it’s all over.
It would be the “safe” thing to follow with what is coming to us…no new “ventures’…, but somehow, it doesn’t seem “right” to just stay quiet too. As in, don’t talk about it. lest we are heard by those who will squeal…or “bear the sword.”
tgusa says
That is why I prefer earthquakes. No calls for hunkering down. They show up and are gone in minutes sometimes less. You are right that staying quiet is not an option. The hurricane thing is one reason that although I like Florida and would consider moving there I’m not sure I can tolerate the here it comes here it come waiting game. High winds and lots of rain don’t bother me.
somehistory says
I was born there and after awhile, one can kind of tell if it really is going to ‘hit’ your area and when. It’s the new people and the tourists who get into trouble.
I was in an earthquake situation in Texas. I worked in a fairly tall building and suddenly, without warning, it began shaking and the unsteady feeling was not easy on the nerves. It did only last seconds, but the ‘no warning’ thing I didn’t care for.
But, I love Florida and after a hurricane, the air is so fresh and clean for a little while.
. There was one day, sunny, and then just as suddenly, a wind came up…later said to be 70-90mph without a hurricane and the rain was pouring in some open windows as the wind was blowing horizontally.
We were walking on the beach one night, my son and I, We looked out and saw that the Atlantic was full of coconuts. A hurricane had reached some islands south of us and brought a whole harvest our way. But the storm was days away from us at that time.
The State is becoming over-crowded again, partly due to the new governor.
By now, I’ve probably written enough to be on someone’s list. maybe santa’s.
tgusa says
Lol, you probably have. Yes tall buildings are bothersome for me as well. It is also best to stay away from brick and block walls or buildings and its never a good idea to hunker down near plate glass windows.
somehistory says
I’ll keep that in mind if I’m ever in an earthquake zone again. Some people may not know that Florida has had a couple of them in the distant past.
No big ones, but in a place that rarely gets them, it’s news. Just like with snow.
Did you read or hear about the woman biden has placed in a position whose past includes being taken in by the Nigerian scams? To the tune of millions of dollars.
I don’t recall at the moment what office, but I believe it has to do with money.
There seems to be a deliberate and nefarious agenda afoot to cause as much chaos and trouble as possible for the greatest number of people. That is why I believe satan is behind it all.

Now this:
“Hiring Illegals… Is Illegal
An article from Ford Murray Law discusses the issue of hiring illegals: “The hiring of undocumented immigrants, whether purposeful or not, is illegal… There are very serious risks and potential penalties for any employer that knowingly hires undocumented immigrants.” Apparently Biden’s Department of Justice doesn’t care about the law, only about radical left-wing immigration policies. If it is simultaneously illegal to hire illegal immigrants, and illegal to reject illegal immigrants during the hiring process, what are American business owners supposed to do?
The DOJ Goes After SpaceX
According to the DOJ, an illegal immigrant inquired about the position of technology strategy associate at SpaceX in March of 2020, and was asked about his citizenship status. Lisa Sandoval, an attorney for the DOJ, claims that SpaceX “ultimately failed to hire him for the position because he is not a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.”
On May 29, 2020, the illegal immigrant filed a complaint of employee discrimination with the DOJ’s Immigrant and Employee Rights Section (IER). According to reporting by the Daily Wire, “The IER enforces the anti-discrimination provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which has an anti-discrimination provision prohibiting citizenship status and national origin discrimination in hiring, firing, or recruitment or referral for a fee.”
On January 28, the DOJ filed a request with a judge “to order SpaceX to comply with an administrative subpoena for documents related to how the company hires,” according to CNBC. The DOJ is requesting that SpaceX comply with the subpoena within two weeks.”

tgusa says
And yet I have had my citizenship scrutinized by companies that wished to hire me even though we have been here 100 years before the American revolution. I attribute that to my white privilege.
somehistory says
yes, that is the one.
Every time I have ever applied for a job…or as some say, a Position…no matter the company or level of experience, etc., I have been asked for proof…like a DL and Birth Cert. and must have a social security card. If I didn’t have some of it with me, I had to go home to get it before being hired.
When I worked on farms…picking strawberries, and other things…after becoming an adult, there were always “migrant” workers; at some point in time, all of the farmers began hiring one of these Spanish speaking men, to be a “foreman” of the crew and it was almost impossible for a person like me…White and speaking English…to get hired by any of them, even though my father was a sharecropper and he had raised all of us to do the farm work, any and all of it. The migrants got a house, free dental and medical. I didn’t “qualify” for those things.
Some days the entire crew would disappear…because they were all illegal. If the word hadn’t gone out fast enough, the agents would arrive and the crew would be carted away. The farmer would be given papers to show up to be fined.
I got to stay and keep on working. But, I still had to show I had the government documents to prove I was legal to be hired. When the agents arrived, they ignored me.
somehistory says
And, I didn’t get any more money for my work than the migrants. One farmer I worked for rec’d more from his buyers for what I produced, but he didn’t share it with me.
And one farm I worked on, I had to leave when the crew arrived, even though the guy who owned the farm had been a classmate of mine in school and knew I needed to keep working. He said his crew boss wouldn’t want me there.
biden has upped the number that will be pouring in, even though jobs are down.

My parents used to ship me off in the summer to work on my uncles farm but he never asked me for my papers. I didn’t get paid much either outside of a little spending money. It was more of an internship but I didn’t mind. It was better than spending the summer hunting rattlesnakes.
