Where did Lamir Mohammad’s attacker get this idea? Could it have been from the Qur’an? “When you meet the unbelievers, strike the necks…” (Qur’an 47:4)
It appears, if Lamir Mohammad is correct in thinking that his attacker believed he would go to heaven for killing him, that the attacker regarded Lamir Mohammad as an apostate. That is implied here, when, in connection with this attack, a Maltese imam speaks about people leaving Islam. “They wish that you would disbelieve even as they disbelieve, that you may be on the same level. So do not choose friends from them until they leave their homes in the way of Allah, if they turn back, then take them and kill them wherever you find them, and choose no friend or helper from among them.” (Qur’an 4:89)

Lamir Mohammad thought he was going to a garage in Mosta to pick up a work-related routine payment – but found himself running for his life minutes later.
Mohammad, 29 years old, was allegedly stabbed in the neck by a former colleague who was hiding behind a corner at around 10pm Tuesday night. The attack left him with grievous injuries, and has left him fearing for his life….
“Two days ago, a friend of mine called me saying ‘let’s meet, I need to give you some money’,” Mohammad recounted to Lovin Malta. “But if I had known that man was going to be there, I would never have gone.”
Mohammad is referring to a former colleague of his, someone he says “hates” him. Both Mohammad and his alleged attacker are Syrian….
“I know who did it, and he hates me,” Mohammed said. “He is here illegally, while I am here paying taxes, have a car and a loving family. That’s what really angered him – that I have a good, honest life here.”…
I entered the garage… and then suddenly, out of nowhere I felt this brutal hit to my head. I had no idea what was happening, and then I see this guy with a massive machete, like the ones used by ISIS. Within seconds, I ran away and ran back into my car and drove directly to Mater Dei. But blood was coming out everywhere and it was getting harder to see through the windows.”
When Mohammad got to Mater Dei, police questioned him and he received medical assistance. He provided the home address of his alleged attacker to the police, but when they visited his house, he wasn’t there.
“I have a wife and son – and I am so scared he goes to attack them. He is like a terrorist, and he doesn’t have anything to lose, he is here on illegal papers – in his mind, if he kills, he will go to heaven,” Mohammad said strongly.
“I’ve been here for years, paid all my dues and have never had any reason to go to the police. I have no problems with Muslims or Catholics, but this guy, he’s got the mind of ISIS.”

Allah will make him recount His blessings (i. e. the blessings which He had bestowed upon him) and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his life). (Then) will Allah say: What did you do (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I fought for Thee until I died as a martyr. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You fought that you might be called a” brave warrior”. And you were called so. Then orders will be passed against him and he will be dragged with his face downward and cast into Hell

s47:4: Allah’s Messenger said, (A martyr is allowed to intercede for seventy members of his household.) This was recorded by Abu Dawud, and there are numerous other Hadiths mentioning the merits of the martyrs. As for Allah’s saying, (He will guide them) meaning, He will guide them to Jannah (paradise). a martyr can intercede for 70 his relatives and guarantee Paradise for them as well as him This is what Islam teaches–that dying while waging violent Jihad guarantees access to paradise for both the Jihadist and for a large number of their family and friends. In fact, it is the *only* thing that guarantees access to paradise–no amount of prayer, Zakat, or going on the Hadj does the trick.
And why is this? Because murdering Infidels is considered not just a good deed in Islam, but the best action any Muslim can take.

The number 72 comes from a hadith How is the “extremist” vision of paradise different from this one? the contract in sura 9:111? The true vision of desire presumably also must include 4:3, 4:24, 23:1-6, 33:50, 70:30 and 33:59. Or 65:4 allowing sex with your pre-mensturating “woman”. “Desire”–only if someone’s understanding of desire is *rape*.
