Just when you thought that France was becoming more sensible about the jihad threat. My latest in FrontPage:
You thought it would stop with the defaming and deplatforming of foes of jihad terror? No. Soviet-style judgments of insanity are next. And what will come after that? The answer is clear enough.
AFP reported Tuesday that French “far-right” (i.e., opposed to mass Muslim migration and French cultural and political suicide) leader Marine Le Pen “goes on trial Wednesday on charges she broke hate speech laws by tweeting pictures of Islamic State atrocities, a case she has slammed as a violation of free speech.”
Not coincidentally, Le Pen is riding high in the polls, and she “will likely face off again against Emmanuel Macron in next year’s presidential contest, after her National Rally made its strongest showing ever in the 2017 vote.”
She has gone on trial, and was previously ordered to undergo psychiatric testing, because she “shared the gruesome images in December 2015, a few weeks after Islamic State group jihadists killed 130 people in attacks in Paris, in response to a journalist who drew a comparison between IS and her party. One of the pictures showed the body of James Foley, an American journalist beheaded by the Islamist militants. Another showed a man in an orange jumpsuit being run over by a tank, and the third a Jordanian pilot being burned alive in a cage. ‘Daesh is this!’ Le Pen wrote in a caption, using an Arabic acronym for IS.”
Why did she do that? Out of a lurid fascination with blood and gore, or some secret sympathy for the Islamic State’s jihad? No. She tweeted out those images because her party was being likened to the Islamic State in the French media. In a bid to bring the national discussion back to some semblance of sanity, she pointed out – by means of visual aids – that her party was not behaving in the same way as the Islamic State, and not leaving a trail of bloodshed and death in its wake.
But that means nothing to the French authorities who are desperate to destroy her, her movement, and any and all opposition to their globalist, socialist, open-borders agenda. According to The Local, she was charged with circulating “violent messages that incite terrorism or pornography or seriously harm human dignity.” Adding to the Orwellian flavor of the whole scenario was the fact that this order was issued on September 11.
Le Pen is still trying to inject a note of sanity into this fantastically insane public discourse, stating: “I thought I had been through it all: well, no! For denouncing the horrors of Daesh (Isis) by tweets the ‘justice system’ has referred me for a psychiatric assessment. How far will they go?!”
How far indeed? Le Pen is defiant: “Of course I will not go to this psychiatric assessment and I will wait to see how the magistrate intends to force me.” Indeed, we are all waiting. Now that the French authorities have begun to engage in the Soviet tactic of branding their opposition mentally incompetent, what other Soviet tactics will follow? Will thuggish “security personnel” knock on Le Pen’s door at three in the morning, and drag her off to a prison cell and physical and psychological torture? Will she end up in a camp where the truncheon will be employed liberally until she emerges “reeducated,” loving Big Brother and proclaiming that Islam is religion of peace and tolerance that has nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism?
These kinds of scenarios are not hysterical fantasies anymore, if they ever were. If Le Pen is ordered to undergo psychiatric examination for the completely sane act of opposing the Islamic State and refuting claims that her movement is like it, then all bets are off. France, like Britain, is rapidly descending into totalitarianism, with Biden’s U.S. not far behind, and there is no telling where it will end. If thoughts that dissent from the Leftist establishment agenda can be prosecuted and declared to be evidence of insanity, then the door has been opened to all the rest of the features of the reign of terror that always accompanies the rule of the hard-Left.
And so we will soon see. Will French authorities convict Le Pen, and fine or imprison her? Or will she be declared mentally incompetent and confined to a psychiatric hospital? Will others who declare that Islam is not a religion of peace and that mass Muslim migration into Europe is unwise be likewise declared insane and carted off to hospitals and/or prisons? Will France and other Eurosocialist autocracies open gulags for those who dare to say that jihad terror is something that decent people should oppose?
Le Pen also stated: “It’s really incredible. This regime is really starting to worry me.” You and me both, sister. But she is already backpedaling: in a debate Thursday, Macron’s Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin asserted that Le Pen “has gone a bit soft…you need to take some vitamins, you’re not tough enough here.” He explained: “If I understand you right, you’re prepared to not even legislate on religion, and you say that Islam is not even a problem. You’ve gone quite far, it’s going to disappoint quite a lot of your voters I imagine.”
Le Pen agreed: “Yes, I can confirm that I don’t intend to attack Islam, which is a religion like any other. And, because I am strongly attached to our French values, I want to conserve total freedom of religion. That’s my opinion.”
Great. But what if many adherents of that “religion like any other,” working from its most important sacred texts, believe that freedom of religion should be accorded to them, but not to those of other religions, at least without the severe restrictions of dhimmitude? Marine Le Pen appeared to be the only French politician who was willing to face that problem. Darmanin isn’t: he has already stated that “Islamism, the most powerful ideology in the world, has deprived Islam of its voice,” thereby assuming a distinction between “Islamism” (which presumably indicates Islam’s political, violent, and supremacist aspects) and genuine Islam that does not exist and has never existed in Islamic tradition. Now, with Le Pen under fire and apparently buckling under the pressure, France may lose its best hope of staving off the inexorable advance of “Islamism.”
Frank Anderson says
muslims are not the only people who should practice lying whenever advantage is needed. If it is good and permissible for them, why not “Us”?
gravenimage says
I think the fact that we have truth on our side is actually a strength, Frank. The most horrifying thing about Islam is Islam itself.
Frank Anderson says
GI, IF I were counsel for Ms. Le Pen, I would ask her to avoid any comments that would give any excuse for more charges at this time.
Mount Zion says
It is real insanity , she has to avoid comments that could produce more charges while muslims in India are praising unimpeded and unchallanged the killing of Hindus a 100 years ago .
gravenimage says
Perhaps while Le Pen is unjustly on trial, Frank.
But our speaking the truth is over all a strength here.
Frank Anderson says
GI, I cannot share an ongoing story to illustrate the forces that cause a person to suppress actions that would be normal. But I can remind us of the miserable and outrageous story of Sophie Scholl who was beheaded by Nazi Germany for distributing leaflets opposing the regime. While France may not at the moment behead Le Pen, they are no less vile as the Nazis who occupied their country from 1940 to 44. WE are worthless dead to anyone. Whatever it takes to remain alive, in our own minds free, to oppose the evil that is conquering much of the world today, life is necessary.
You have seen me mention Maimonides many times, and his collection of the 613 Mitzvot, commandments or rules of wisdom. The first of those in rank is that ALL RULES BEND AS NECESSARY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF LIFE.
We are in a war, which we did not declare and do not want. It is against an enemy who has one rule, WIN. If they win, we die. We cannot allow them to use our own qualities to destroy us.
When I faced a decision about remaining or leaving Georgia Tech to study for a Masters in Nuclear Engineering after law school, the dean said, “We have high standards here.” 13 of 14 students in the important for all subsequent classes on Partial Differential Equations, were not prepared for the pace the instructor was teaching. I was one of the 13. The teacher threatened the class if he suspected any assistance among the students. Because of my recently earned law license that threat was intolerable. Hence my conversation with the dean. My response to the dean was, “One of the joys of understanding the Common Law legal system is knowing that a rule is made based on the case in court. When a different case is presented the rule can be changed, modified or an exception made to carry out justice.” t left without ever taking a dime of the full tuition, fees and expenses scholarship I was offered; and never regretted my decision.
When we are in a situation where telling the truth is suicidal, lie like a dog. And I love dogs, especially my departed Bassett Hound Roscoe.
I always wish you well.
gravenimage says
Frank, I *absolutely agree* that if things were as bad in the West now for Marine le Pen and the rest of us as they were for Sophie Scholl in Nazi Germany, that I would urge everyone to stay quiet and try to save their own lives and then flee if they could.
But the problem with staying quiet and refusing to tell the truth is that if makes it even worse for anyone brave enough to speak honestly–until no one is left, and the forces of tyranny have free reign.
Frank Anderson says
GI, I am not advocating total silence. I am advocating being careful and selective with whom we share our thoughts. It could be a good time to re-read or re-watch 1984 to understand the domination that is taking place now as we watch. A totalitarian enemy is rapidly taking control; and resistance is vital. Resistance is impossible if we are dead or in a concentration camp for “re-education”.
gravenimage says
Again, Frank, I think it is important not just to speak to each other but to *speak out*. If we do not do so now, things will become even worse.
But it is up to each individual to decide how much to put themselves on the line.

Truth telling has become “hate speech” in these days of PC BS.
An ideology that teaches its adherents to dominate and subjugate all those “infidels” who do not believe in Allah and his Apostle forcing them to pay a draconian tax “willingly” while feeling “subdued” has become a sacred cow put on a pedestal to be worshipped at the altar of the “religion of truth”
We are living in Orwellian times,
where everything is inverted and good becomes evil, lies become truth, war is peace and hate is love.
Infidel says
Anybody who pretends that there is something called ‘islamism’ that’s different from islam, as Gérald Darmanin does, doesn’t deserve the time of day. Whatever Marine Le Pen’s shortcomings might be w/ her statement about islam being a ‘religion like any other’, it’s not worth tossing her aboard for the likes of Darmanin
terry sullivan says
all moslems are jihadists
KriminellaNyheterSverige says
Yes they are. They hate us, they wanna kill us and they want to take over all our western countries.
But they will fail and they will go under and this time for good. How many muslim countries have the A-bomb? One. Pakistan. That’s not nearly enough.
We will prevale.
R Thomasson says
@Terry Sullivan. Not all Muslims are jihadists. Millions of them just want to have a normal life. Alas, many of them are the quite majority of supporters. By the way, Islam had not brought itself to Europe. The last time Islam had tried to seize Europe by force was at the Gates of Vienna in 1683, and lost the battle. That Islam had become a lethal force in Europe is the work of our modern Quislings and Vichy adepts who want to see their own people and own country go down the drain for a “Fist full of money”.
gravenimage says
Not all Muslims are Jihadists–but *very* few of them actually take a stand against Jihad. And even in the West, a majority of Muslims want to see brutal Shari’ah law imposed on us.
Rod says
You’ll be providing full details to support this silly assertion, of course. As you so often require others to do.
Does anybody believe that your “very few” or “majority” are even close to the truth? Does anybody care? Just meaningless blather, utterly pointless. Even if you had access to reliable statistics, which you haven’t, you wouldn’t allow yourselves to believe them.
What shameless hypocrites you people are. Apart from your dishonesty and silly obsessions.
gravenimage says
Of course I will. And no–there is nothing “silly” about the horrors of Shari’ah law.
Over 50% is indeed a majority. 51% of Muslims in the US openly say they want to see Shari’ah law imposed here:
According to the just-released survey of Muslims, a majority (51%) agreed that “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to shariah.” When that question was put to the broader U.S. population, the overwhelming majority held that shariah should not displace the U.S. Constitution (86% to 2%).
More than half (51%) of U.S. Muslims polled also believe either that they should have the choice of American or shariah courts, or that they should have their own tribunals to apply shariah. Only 39% of those polled said that Muslims in the U.S. should be subject to American courts.
https://www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/2015/06/23/nationwide-poll-of-us-muslims-shows-thousands-support-shariah-jihad/
There is nothing silly about being opposed to Jihad terror and brutal Shari’ah law, as the appalling “Rod” pretends.
Rod says
Thanks Pinocchio. As expected, not impressive.
On December 7, 2015, GOP candidate Donald Trump issued a press release calling to ban Muslims from entering the United States. Trump’s campaign cited a bogus CSP poll released a few months earlier in June claiming “25% of those polled agreed that violence against Americans here in the United States is justified as a part of the global jihad” and that 51 percent of those polled “agreed that Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Shariah.” Trump praised the staff of CSP, stating they are “very highly respected people, who I know, actually.”
When the poll was first released , the Bridge Initiative at Georgetown University, a project started to connect the academic study of Islamophobia with the public square, debunked it immediately, noting that, “CSP’s survey was a non-probability based, opt-in online survey, administered by the conservative group, the Polling Company/Woman Trend, a small Washington-based agency that has collaborated with CSP on other occasions to produce surveys about Islam and Muslims.” In parentheses, the Bridge Initiative stated, “We learned this after reaching out to the Polling Company to get more details about their methodology, which wasn’t released to the public when Gaffney began promoting the survey’s findings.” According to the body that sets ethical standards for polling, the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR), opt-in surveys cannot be considered representative of the intended population, in this case Muslims.”
gravenimage says
Actually, opt-in surveys with numbers like this are even more alarming, since most Muslims must know that imposing Shari’ah law in the US would be applauded by few Americans.
Then, all of these polls are voluntary–no one need answer individual questions or even participate in the poll at all.
And “Rod’s” implication that is is absurd to think that any Muslims support Jihad, given the appalling rates of Jihad terror, especially in Europe, is just bizarre. Or is he claiming that all Jihad terror is done by Infidel trying to make Islam look bad? Never mind that the texts and tenets of Islam sacralize Jihad.
Rod says
Opt-in surveys can produce alarming results if that’s what’s required. What a surprise – bigots prefer methodology which doesn’t yield reliable information. And of course they often regard reliable techniques with deep suspicion.
Hence climate scepticism, ant-vaxers, hydroxychloroquin, anti-maskers, half a million Covid deaths, islamophobia.
gravenimage says
No one is forced to participate in polls. Responding to a poll is always voluntary.
And why would “Rod” consider wanting to impose Shari’ah law alarming? He has refused to say that he considers any aspects of this brutal code concerning, incuding slavery and stoning rape victims to death.
Rob R (Brit stuck in Britainistan) says
Robert, even though you are criticising France, and obviously, that criticism is not without merit..
I would highly suggest you move operations of your website to that country, or to Hungary or Poland or somewhere like that. And do it as soon as possible. Surely you must be able to hire an assistant who speaks the language(s) of whichever country you choose.
How do you know Fuhrer Biden won’t try to shut down your website and lock you up? Are we forgetting how brazen the Dems are, already? Huh? Even after what they did in November?
He/they could do it within the next 6 months for all you know. I suggest taking pre-emptive action not waiting around.
gravenimage says
Rob, the idea that France–which is prosecuting telling the truth about Islam–is a safer place than the US right now is a bit questionable…
R Thomasson says
@Rob R from Britanistan. I’m afraid you are right. The modern Sicherheitsdienst (SD) and GESTAPO are already busy. With assistance of snitching Social Media outlets they mass record prospect clients for the Autodafe of the New Inquisition. Not the Spanish one, but the one of Xi Jingping and his Western friends. However, the situation of Robert in USA will be far better than ours in Europe. Due to the Second Amendment, people in US will have possibility to defend themselves and their rights as free people. All kinds and sorts of WEF- and NWO money monsters, will think twice whether they’ll take the challenge of fighting tens millions of heavily armed American citizens. They’ll always choose the easy way: the one with the Sound of easy Money. Turning USA into one big Stalingrad is not their goal. Europeans don’t have that advantage. Today the Queen of Great Britain resides in a city where Muslims are the Capo dei Capi.
curious george says
Rob R,
Sadly, in the long term, there isn’t a safe place anywhere in the world. The bad guys are gaining more power and control over our lives every day.
As I have said many times her at JW, batten down the hatches, the worst is yet to come.
gravenimage says
Good to see you posting again, curious george.
Rod says
A little effort, george, will show you that there are many places on earth at least five or six times safer than the USA in terms of murder or assault rates, and with better health systems too. Further, they don’t periodically go mad and press-gang their young to go out to kill and be killed in other countries.
gravenimage says
By “press-gang” one presumes that “Rod” means the draft. The draft was held during WWII–to defeat Fascism. How *dare* the ‘filthy Americans’ have fought the Nazis? Bad dhimmis!
Then note his using the Islamic term “kill and be killed”, as though Americans fetishize death as does Islam. Just sickening dishonesty.
Rod says
Actually, I was thinking of Vietnam. Have you forgotten? Too young? Has it been removed from your history books?
No, I would never say the Americans “went mad” to confront Fascism in 1941. Nor did Britain and many other countries in 1939.
gravenimage says
If the US hadn’t fought with one hand tied behind her back, she might have been able to spare the Vietnamese people the horrors thay later suffered at the hands of the Viet Cong–just as she did South Korea. Does “Rod” think that North Korea is a better place than democratic South Korea? I doubt he would answer such a moral question.
Then, the US would not have been able to defeat Fascism without the quick mobilizatiun a draft made possible.
But isn’t it nice that he won’t go so far as to say that American “went mad” in opposing the Nazis? He leaves that rhetoric for opposing the Killing Fields and the horrors of Islam…
Rod says
Americans bombed South Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, dropped incendiaries into villages, drenched forests with Agent Orange, flooded centuries-old rice plantations with seawater, assassinated activists, killed millions, with one hand tied behind their back?
Let’s thank god for small mercies. Obviously it could have been even more horrible. The Vietnamese don’t realise how lucky they were.
tgusa says
“killed millions”
Only millions? Asians by far have killed more Asians than that. I guess we Americans are not up to the task of killing millions and millions and millions all over the place. Perhaps we need to learn from Asians how to do major killing right.
gravenimage says
“Rod” seems to be fine with the tender mercies visited on Southeast Asians by Communism–including the horrors of the Killing Fields in Cambodia–but, really, this scarcely surprises.
Rod says
tgusa, does the Jihadwatch logic go like this – Asians kill lots of Asians, so Americans can be excused for killing lots of Asians too? Does that make sense?
And yes, the death toll from the US Vietnam intervention (not including Laos and Cambodia) did run into the millions.
And Pinocchio would like us to follow similar reasoning – if the Communists killed lots of people, the Americans should be allowed to kill lots of people too. Who could object to that?
Your logic stinks, folks. You know it does. Ask the people of Southeast Asia.
gravenimage says
So “Rod” here would condemn the Allies, saying that “if the [Fascists] killed lots of people, the Americans should be allowed to kill lots of people too”.
If he would not sneeringly write this, why not? It is just the same “logic”.
Rod says
Yes Rob. I’m frightened that Biden might hold a rally, arouse his supporters into a frenzy, and send an armed mob to break into the Jihadwatch HQ in utter defiance of the law, and call for Mr Spencer to be hanged.
Such things happen in the USA. They have happened in France too, but not since 1789. So I know which country I think is safer.
James Lincoln says
It is possible, if this trial is conducted fairly, that the whole thing could backfire on the French government.
The layers of the onion could be peeled back – and islam could be exposed…
Rob R (Brit stuck in Britainistan) says
Islam has already been exposed many times.
The problem is, when someone that gross exposes themselves, most people like to run away and pretend they never saw it, rather than deal with the person and make sure they don’t do it again.
Clifford Fodor says
That’s right. How many times do they have to burn Notre Dame down to the ground?
gravenimage says
I hope so, James.
But I don’t think this trial can be conducted fairly–this should not be a criminal matter to begin with. But yes–there are degrees of how bad a kangaroo court this is apt to be.

Marine Le Pen Goes On Trial for Opposing Jihad Terror
……………..
Just appalling. How can this be a crime?
JohnTheRevelator says
An example of ‘shooting the messenger’ from the pro-Islam, radical Left. It counters their false narrative that Muslims are sweet little innocent victims of the big bad ‘far-right’ and are in reality the true evil aggressors.
This is why Le Pen must be silenced, it’s an inconvenient and embarrassing truth both for Muslims and Leftists. Apparently showing photos of a criminal act deserves as much punishment as the act itself.
I wonder if it ever occurred to our “ideological betters” that what ISIS did to their victims, Muslims in western nations will eventually do to them once they have the upper hand? No it must be hidden from sight and mind, swept under the carpet, Leftists either want to pretend Muslims are not actually that evil or they fear what’s coming so they’d rather deny reality.
If we continue along this path and when push eventually comes to shove, Leftists will not be able to avoid being caught up in a civil war that they helped to create, except that Muslims are not their allies and once Leftists help them gain power (if the good guys lose), they will be eliminated. Just ask the Lefties/Commies how the Mullahs rewarded them after the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
As for those of us in the anti-Islam movement, we need to oppose Leftists and remove them from power and judiciary since they are the only obstacle that is preventing the West from saving itself from Islamic conquest.
James Lincoln says
JohnTheRevelator,
Yes…
If history is any guide, the Leftist/Marxists will go the way of the Tudeh Party of Iran after the 1979 revolution.

It appears that she broke the law, and is facing the consequences, as she should. No doubt the courts can be trusted to assess the case at least as competently as an American right wing fanatic, unfamiliar with French law and completely unqualified.
Le Pen has another legal challenge looming, over claims that she and other party officials improperly spent millions of euros in public funds to pay their assistants while serving in the EU Parliament.
Broke the law again, it seems. Who would have thought?
Giacomo Latta says
Which law, o specific one? Funny, I remember seeing on MSM images of dead French policemen, dead French concert-goers and one decapitated French teacher? Different people, yes, because it is physically and medically impossible to kill the same person twice but hte same act nevertheless. I don’t remember you being all over that ”lawbreaking.” Hypocrite of the first order! Not to mention apologist for terrorism.
gravenimage says
*Of course* the vile “Rod” wants to see any criticism of the horrors of Islam criminalized in the West.
Note the claim that one is a “right wing fanatic” is one opposes the crushing of freedom of speech and the triumph of Jihad terror.
Rod says
Usually, folk who break the law have to answer for it, in civilised countries with real justice systems. The court can then decide guilt or innocence. It works.
Unless, of course you are a US president, or the King of some other medieval country centuries behind the real world.
gravenimage says
“Rod” here considers it “civilized” to criminalize opposing *ISIS*. That is Marine Le Pen’s “crime”.
What does he consider civilized about criminalizing this? That opposing sex slavery should be criminalized? That opposing the murder of children who snack during Ramadan should be criminalized? That opposing genocide of religious minorities should be criminalized? These are all things that ISIS has done.
More likely he just believes that any criticism of Islam should be criminalized–that is the condition under Shari’s law.
And this is *not* criminal in France–not yet, anyway. Can “Rod” point to any part of the French criminal code that actually criminalizes speaking out against these horrors? Of course he can’t.
gravenimage says
Note that “Rod” has not said what aspects of the horrors of ISIS he considers it “civilized” to criminalize the criticism of. He knows he will too clearly expose himself if he actually gets specific.

Rod says
Can “Rod” point to any part of the French criminal code that actually criminalizes speaking out against these horrors? Of course he can’t.
I’m puzzled. Is the claim now that Le Pen is charged with an offence which does not exist under French law? Perhaps you folk should volunteer to act on her defence team in court. Surely you’d find that you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Prove me wrong. I’m willing to discuss any rational comment.
What follows doesn’t quite qualify, sadly –
“The US, France and God knows how many other countries are not civilized countries with real justice systems. ”
I said that? No, I didn’t. Who did? Why? This is “debate”? Really?
Giacomo Latta says
Can’t? Rather won’t. Seeking the truth is too time-consuming when with a little pot you can always find some to invent. I doubt you’ve never spent any time in a real court. You should have remembered that when one is charged it is always with respect to the infraction of a specific law, unless you have Putin’s Russia or Communist China, your two favourites, that you’re talking about. Wanting to be proven wrong? Just proven. QED.
”in civilised countries with real justice systems”
Who said that at 4:54 AM on February 22? Are you so whacked out on something you can’t even remember what you said 24 hours ago? If not, then you are severely retarded due to some circumstance. Mom had the dropsies?
Rod says
Giacomo, I stopped paying attention to you some time ago because of some of your revolting comments. This time it’s because you are patently incoherent. I suppose it’s just another aspect of deluded bigotry, but I have better things to do than try to decode it..
Giacomo Latta says
Exit Rod. Tail between legs.
gravenimage says
What has Giocomo Latta said that is revolting? Of course, “Rod” does not say.
Recently Giocomo spoke critically of a Saudi national who was charged with mutliple rapes in Canada. Then he spoke critically of Muslims slaughtering Kenyans at a shopping mall. Then he spoke approvingly of Israelis preventing Jihad suicide bombers. Are these the sort of things that “Rod” considers revolting?
Fred van de Bunt says
Le Pen used the phrase “radical Islam” before.
With all the awful Allah Akbar shouting mass killers in France, she had the electorate behind her, also because of her skepticism against the ever expanding unelected EU bureaucracy, the federal powerhouse where corporates, speculators (like Orban) and top government administrators cozy up, to build a federal EU empire.
Macron was the only one left to tackle “the problem Le Pen”, and his promise to “warp” France with technology into a glorious new future seemed to have done the job, that is, he won the elections.
Apart from persecuting Le Pen for being a mental retard, Macron had to do something about the Allah Akbar killings, that continued. Le Pen’s phrase “radical Islam” is too close to “Islam”, so “Islamism” was taken of the shelf.
Apart from Islam, Western Europe has a greater problem. In the Netherlands, where I live, the future seems quite dim for a large part of the young generation, with inequalities growing, and I guess the same counts for youth in France. As far as I believe, this is for an important part explained because of what economists call the difference between market and non-market competing sector rewards.
A export competing factory minimum youth wage job (market competing) gives at 18 years old 840 Euro’s a month, while an 18 year old with only primary school education at the municipal (non-market competing) earns already 1800 Euro’s. And if the municipal worker lives in an area where housing is (very) expensive, the worker gets extra allowances.
France did not get “warped” into Macron’s glorious tech future, and inequalities are still rising, and will be difficult to tackle, since the so called “leftists” that are in power, are basically right wing conservatives, that will not give up their privileged position.
They will keep shouting “democracy”, “diversity”, “BLM”, “LGBTQ”, “Islam is peace”…The real problems that grow within society, of which Islam is one, stay though.
Jayell says
in the UK, a political gentleman named Nick Griffin twenty years ago publicly proclaimed that islam was ‘an evil and vicious faith’. Another gentleman with the pseudonym Tommy Robinson’ more recently publicly said the same sort of thing. Another gentleman who was running for election a few years ago (sorry, the name escapes me) quoted Winston Churchill’s rather adverse summary of islam in a speech on the hustings. All three gentlemen named above were arrested and dragged to court on charges of ‘hate speech’ or some other spurious concoction although only Tommy Robinson found himself incarcerated (apparently with a howling pack of muslim prison inmates). Perhaps we should also add the sad saga of another less well-known gentleman who negligently dropped a rasher of bacon on the steps of a mosque but also ended up in prison, allegedly enjoying the attention of another pack of muslims which he sadly did not survive.
France seems to be following the UK’s example in trying to suppress Marine le Pen for doing precisely what she should be doing as French citizen running for high office – telling the truth in defence of the people of France and their civilisation, rather like a gentleman named Donald Trump was doing in the USA recently. Let’s hope she has more luck than President Trump and all those other gentlemen from the UK named above.

Jayell,
If Marine Le Pen is not totally exonerated, France is in deep trouble…
Frank Anderson says
James, in the US if the charges against Le Pen were not dismissed at the first hearing, instead of pending for months, the whole legal system as we know it would be a failure. The fact the charges were made, and kept active this long should in the US result in many people being sued and criminally prosecuted, such as happened to Former North Carolina Prosecutor Mike Nifong. At Rev Al Sharpton’s goading,
Nifong prosecuted the Duke Lacrosse Players in court and the news on groundless charges. I searched Mike Nifong to see what I could find. According to the articles he was 1) Removed from office; 2) Disbarred; 3) Sued by the players; 4) Lost the suits for millions of dollars each; 5) Bankrupted 6) Denied discharge of the judgments; 7) Criminally prosecuted; 8) Convicted. I can’t help wishing a similar fate for many prosecutors who abuse the power and duty of their office.
James Lincoln says
Much thanks for the info, Frank.
Definitely abuse of power by the prosecutors – hope they pay…

Thank you, Frank. Justice *was* finally done in that case.

LOL, what more can we expect from them. how the fascist left blames everyone of fascism other than themselves. basically a self projection. they already took over everything. all the big tech are leftists. basically other side is already losing the war.

Why do you find this amusing?

“Being in a minority, even in a minority of one, did not make you mad. There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world, you were not mad.”

Fine quote. Thanks.

Marine Le Pen is trying to inject a note of sanity into this insane public discourse. But her efforts can be compared to injecting sanity into the public discourse of people who had led the Nazi’s to power https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8iujof6IL8, or Fidel Castro’s supporters in Cuba. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJMWvMBZD28. When we analyse the way Emmanuel Macron came to power, we get the answer. This guy ‘came out of the blue’ without leading a party. He was financial backed by FOREIGN FORCES who wanted him in the Elise palace. These powers have their own agenda for Europe that includes selective genocide for the indigenous Europeans. They need the Daesh Boys and other Jihadis for the ‘Great Reset’. They are destined by “The Powers” to fulfil the same tasks as the Ukrainians, men from the Baltic States, Croat’s etc. in the camps, during WWII. IS had given those Jihadis the needed military training for the job. Marine le Pen who’s coming up for her country in the way Jeanne d’arc did, has no place in their agenda. They try to stamp her as psychiatric disable. NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE FRENCH PEOPLE TO COME UP FOR HER AND FOR THEIR COUNTRY. If they would not do that FRACE IS LOST.

Show a gruesome image for the purpose of FACILITATING Islamic migration into Europe – such as a drowned child on a beach – and you’re one of the “good” folk…
…but show a gruesome image for the purpose of WARNING about the consequences of Islamic migration into Europe – such as Mohammedans murdering non-Mohammedans – and you’re an evil, racist, “far right” fruitcake.
Nowadays, DOUBLE standards are the ONLY standards in the established order of the West, dontcha know.
Rod says
I’m remembering the live images I watched in 2003 of missiles and bombs exploding in densely populated Baghdad, as a prelude to a massive armed invasion to destroy some imaginary weapons which threatened civilisation.
Thousands of Mohammedans died, at the hands of non-Mohammedans. Millions more suffered in many different ways. Thousands more died in the massive upheavals which followed. They are dying still.
I believe vast numbers of those who suffered directly and indirectly from this insanity are still bitterly resentful. Not without reason.
Perhaps you’ll tell me whether they, and I too, are “evil, racist, far-right fruitcakes”, or just where we fit into your neat set of double standards.

Yes, taking out a murderous dictator was a terrible thing, So was offering Iraqis a chance to create a democracy…
Rod says
Even though many thousands had to die under US/UK high explosives, bullets and bombs, even if millions, yes, millions were displaced, many to become refugees in other countries, many still today searching for safe homes.
No, NOT to ‘offer’ anybody a democracy (with bombs?), or remove just one of the world’s numerous dictators, but really to keep frightened Americans safe from non-existent threats, and boost the popularity of corrupt politicians.
Americans, it seems, have the “right” to condemn millions of non-Americans to death and misery “for their own good”. The Vietnamese, strangely, have never said “Thank you”.
OLD GUY says
I truly believe that all governments lie to their citizens. Sadly that practice is becoming the norm around the world about almost every issue. It appears the crazies are running the nut house.
Governments and politicians can say what ever they want about how loving and peaceful islam is, but islam proves them wrong each and every day.

Some are much worse than others.

By that rationale, terrorists will never be charged with a crime.
Frank Anderson says
P.I. please think about it: How many Storm Troopers were charged or prosecuted before The Night of the Long Knives? NONE; because they were doing what the government wanted them to do. SSDD (polite version-Same Story Different Day).
Andrew Blackadder says
If I remember correctly it was the USSR that sent people off to crazy houses in Siberia because they spoke out about what the Polit Bureau was doing… Now its happening in the West, France wants to take Marine Le Pen to a shrink because she posted photos of what actually happened, regrading ISIS, would they treat her in the same manner if she posted photos of the Nazi camps…Thats not a trick question FYI…
