The social media platform has no problem boasting about interfering in elections for the Left—but a big problem with people objecting that it was done. My latest in American Greatness:
They’re going to silence us all, eventually, if they can. On Saturday, the sanctimonious and hypocritical censors of Twitter came for Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft, radio host Wayne Allyn Root, and freedom activist Pamela Geller. Their crime? It appears to have been the heinous act of skepticism toward the official line, specifically, their refusal to accept at face value the official line about the 2020 election.
Root said: “I am in shock. It appears to be a permanent ban. Although I don’t know. Twitter never warned me. . . . And never sent any communication saying I’ve been suspended or banned. I simply tried to tweet yesterday afternoon and could not. But unlike a previous suspension . . . My followers suddenly said 0.”
What Twitter wrote to Geller made clear what was going on:
Your account, PamelaGeller has been suspended for violating the Twitter rules.
Specifically, for:
Violating our rules about election integrity. You may not use Twitter’s services for the purpose of manipulating or interfering in elections. This includes posting or sharing content that may suppress voter turnout or mislead people about when, or how to vote.
Note that if you attempt to evade a permanent suspension by creating new accounts, we will suspend your new accounts. If you wish to appeal this suspension, please contact our support team.
Thanks,
This is absurd from start to finish. Neither Pamela Geller nor Root nor Hoft did anything to “suppress voter turnout or mislead people about when, or how to vote.” Twitter apparently hasn’t even bothered to update its ban notice since before November 3. Nor did they do anything along the lines of “manipulating or interfering in elections.”
Still, there is no doubt that if Geller did take Twitter up on its magnanimous grant to her of a chance to appeal, the appeal would be denied. Twitter’s nameless, faceless wonks are judge, jury, and executioner, and no one can question their sagacity or righteousness of their decisions.
What Geller, Root, and Hoft did, of course, was simply report and highlight the many irregularities and unanswered questions surrounding the 2020 presidential election. Twitter, along with the other social media giants and the establishment media outlets, are labeling all questioning of the election as “lies” and are busy banning any suggestion that there was anything amiss about the election at all, without even bothering to explain all the issues. This is the way a guilty person who is trying to cover up his misdeeds acts, not the way a victor behaves when he knows he has won fair and square and is happy to set the record straight.
Meanwhile, these new bans came just two days after Time published an article titled, “The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election.” In it, Time’s Molly Ball boasted of
a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information. They were not rigging the election; they were fortifying it.
Not rigging the election, but fortifying it. Right. And how exactly does one “fortify” an election? From the looks of Ball’s article, by rigging it.
There is more. Read the rest here.

They can not suspend me. I don’t have an account. PARLER I will have account when they get past the elitist blockade

I checked out Parler long before they were kicked off AWS. To establish an account they wanted a picture of your drivers license as proof of identity. They claimed they would not keep the picture/scan permanently, and would safeguard every user’s privacy. Right! And I believe in the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, too.
Infidel says
Ed, the problem I had w/ Parler, even though I did establish an account there, was that unlike either Twitter or Gab, they required one to provide a phone number. Every time one tried to log in, there was a 3 step entry – first password, then capcha, then a pin that one got on one’s phone. I see no reason for the third: if they wanted, they could have used one of those online authentication apps. Worst part of it was that this was everytime one needed to log in, and on some browsers, like Chromium on BSD, one would automatically get logged out
The day after @RealDonaldTrump was banned on Twitter, Parler had a sudden surge, and resulting downtime, and I think to ease that, they dropped the phone back requirement, so that was good. However, they were still struggling, until AWS yanked them
As I noted in my separate post below, they were stupid enough to rely on AWS, which is one reason not to go there. I am right now pretty happy w/ Gab, and so Parler can take as long as it likes to be back, if ever!
DiploNerd says
They banned Focus on the Family now, too.
Don Ameche says
Did Tweeter or Parler Ban ‘Focus on the Family’ ?
Ed Lee says
I never opened a Parler account. Once I read about the requirement to send them a picture/scan of a government issued photo ID, I did not pursue it any further. BTW, I use Chromium on Ubuntu; I’m done with Windows. As for AWS, I do have an Amazon Prime account that I access through Amazon Smile. Every time I buy something, Amazon donates 1/2% to my favorite charity: Gun Owners Foundation.
Infidel says
Ed, I have a Parler account, and I never saw that requirement. To open an account, I needed to provide my email and phone#. I think the latter requirement may no longer be there, since I could log in today w/ just password and Capcha
At any rate, if you don’t care for Parler, you could check out Gab

Parler is finally back, this time on a server farm. It wasn’t clear whether that’s their own, or whether they’re now at the mercy of someone else other than AWS
Also, as far as the login goes, no more phone numbers: just password and capcha! Had no trouble logging back in
That said, I’m gonna keep alive both my Gab and Parler accounts

Yeah, there are quite a few. Only thing here is that if one is searching for a video, one is more likely to find it on YouTube than anywhere else. DailyMotion comes second, I think, but it’s a French platform not too popular in this country
Wellington says
Traditional Western liberalism has been replaced with man’s newest totalitarian ideology, i.e., Western Leftism (the oldest totalitarian ideology still around is Islam). Compounding all this is the fact that traditional conservative parties in the West are now dominated by wishy-washy moderate figures who are far more interested in courting Leftists than true conservatives. Indeed, true conservatives are held in contempt by what passes for conservative leadership now (e.g., Mitch McConnell).
America and the West are at a crossroads. Either liberty will prevail (which requires the truth and which Trump was superb at conveying and why he had to be destroyed) or Leftists and cowards will take over the West, aided by Muzzies of course.
Not lookin’ good. However, as Margaret Thatcher noted, the facts of life are conservative and perhaps this offers a ray of hope that long term Western liberty will prevail because conservatives will prevail. Trump showed the way and many others must as well in order to defeat those now in charge in most Western nations.
James Lincoln says
Wellington says,
“America and the West are at a crossroads.”
Boy, that’s the truth.
Real scary…

Yes, more conservatives need to become active in politics because the Globalist-Leftists are hysterical.
Prince Eugene says
The corporate media abuses their airwaves and bandwidth by smearing patriotic nationalists in Western countries with the terms “far-right” and “ultra-conservative” to mean xenophobic and racist. Internet trust and safety teams police their sites with the technique of the “enormous lie” advanced by Hitler in Mein Kampf and Goebbels’ methodology of repetitious big lie propaganda. The Nazis were corporate socialists and so are the social giants, dinosaur media and the Democrats who are all in alliance with the CCP. Media lies and liars can be exposed with the evolving competition. Join and support Gab, it’s Jack’s nightmare.
Infidel says
At this point, anybody who’s not on the Left – I blame them for being on Twitter. It’s about as demented as a Christian or Sikh immigrating to Pakistan: you’re begging to be abused! I yanked my account 3 years ago when a lot of my online friends were banned, and I myself was suspended for using the term ‘rapefugee’ to describe muslim migrants in Europe who rape the locals. Now have accounts on both Gab and (assuming it exists) Parler
For the last 2 years, we’ve had Gab, and late last year, for some weeks, we had Parler. Gab was stupid enough 2 years ago to host their service on Azure, and quickly got burnt, but fortunately came back from it w/ a complete ecosystem – starting w/ their own servers and payment systems and everything that goes w/ it. Yeah, it was a ghost town until President Trump got banned from Twitter and Parler too got yanked, but now, there are a few people there worth following. I don’t need hundreds or thousands of followers, and I can’t follow too many people either.
Parler did the same stupid thing as Gab – they counted on AWS to be fair while hosting them, totally oblivious to the cancel culture around them. So when they got yanked from the 2 app stores and then AWS, they were on nothing. Right now, if one goes to parler.com, one will get a glorified 404 error page. Weeks into it, and they’ve not figured it out. Who knows whether they even wanna continue: according to Dan Bongino, it should have been up last Monday
Having done its damage in the US, Twitter is now trying its antics in India, and running into rough weather. First, the Indian government gave them a list of 500 Leftist accounts that they had to yank if they wanted to continue operating ? Twitter then ran into trouble by limiting some of the bans to just within India’s borders, even though they had no problems letting RS and others know that they’re violating Pakistani law when they post against islam, even though RS wasn’t posting in Pakistan. Then a few days ago, Twitter’s India head had to quit, despite appeals to @jack to reject her resignation
Now, in India, a new multi-lingual social media platform called Koo has been launched. I doubt that either Google nor Apple will dare yank it from their app stores if they wanna avoid getting banned in India. As it is, Google is fighting Australia over a law that they pay for news that appears on their sites. It’s good that India and Australia are fighting big Tech – something that the GOP just won’t do! More to the point, just b’cos social media platforms can easily be global doesn’t mean they have to: different countries/regions can have their own social media platforms that abide by their laws and regulations
Anyway, back to my point to everybody here on the platforms in question: get off Twitter, Facebook and other platforms that abuse you, and if you have to be on social media, pick ones that don’t – like Gab, Safechat. Yeah, they may sound like echo chambers to you, but in reality, so is Twitter, when conservative voices are increasingly squelched!

Good info, Infidel. Thanks.

The CEOs who commissioned and authorized and conspired to commit the election steal should be investigated, charged and imprisoned.
Wellington says
Will never happen, mortimer, under a Biden Administration. Indeed, the Biden Administration is gaslighting all those who question the election results. Right now, the crooks are in charge.
Terry Gain says
Not only do we know that the election was stolen, we know how it was stolen. It is not surprising that those who support the steal are censoring those who want to talk about it. They foolishly believe that they can bury this story. They can’t. The fraud was too pervasive.
Infidel says
Even more ridiculous is the idea that a handful of companies – be it in ‘Silicon Valley’ or anywhere else – can suppress all online platforms is patently ridiculous! There is nothing to stop people from setting up and then going to alternatives like Gab or Safechat or even messaging platforms like Signal or Telegram (which ain’t likely to be banned). Not to mention that there are also antiquated platforms like Usenet from way, way back, that can be resurrected if needed
It is amazing how companies like Alphabet, Amazon, Microsoft, Twitter, Facebook that had a lock on the market managed to self destruct from their own hubris
JimJFox says

If every court has rejected hearings on ‘standing’, it’s perfectly legitimate to doubt the outcome. We never tire of lecturing other countries about free and fair elections: this time, they can point the finger back at us. How exactly do we make any demands of Burma when our own troops are flooding DC?
somehistory says
Not only did the Courts all reject the hearings…or delay them like the SC did…but the guys behind the theft have admitted to what they did in a Times Mag. article. They pulled shenanigans, lied, hid the truth, twisted the talk and then thought they had lost, until FOX called AZ for biden. And it was a dem operative at FOX who called it…before hardly any votes were counted in that state.
In a fair and honest state, this, combined with all of the sworn statements and other evidence, the present situation would not stand.
It’s like oj simpson trial and some other trials of murderers…one or two jurors lying during voir dire say they can find a defendant guilty in a capital case and then vote not guilty. Enough of these jurors and it can be a vote to nullify.

Infidel says
So if SCOTUS were to find out that the results were improperly determined, what then? What redress do we have it it turns out that the differences would have affected the outcome?
somehistory says
If the SC ruled that the election was fraudulent, then it could be the same result as when other frauds are committed. Such as b madoff…he committed a huge fraud and had to pay back what he stole and had to go to prison.
During the time ‘o’ was first the “resident” ( great idea from that other thread) and people were saying he was not eligible to be president due to not having been born in the U.S. as he claimed, and what if it was determined that he committed fraud to be elected…some experts were saying everything he did would be undone…all exec orders undone, etc.
If it would have been that way with ‘o’s’ fraud, it would be that way now.
