The PLO’s “founding manifesto stated that it was formed ‘to attain the objective of liquidating Israel.’” Why would anyone believe otherwise?
On a recent television broadcast, “while presenting the historical overview” of the PLO Charter, the Palestinian Authority “chose to cite the Charter’s declarations denying Israel’s right to exist and the PLO’s goal of destroying Israel, even claiming that it is supported by the UN…. there is no reference to the fact that the PA obligated itself to cancel all the clauses of the PLO Charter calling for Israel’s destruction, under the terms of the Oslo Accords.”
Those who may be surprised by this have fallen for the Palestinian Authority’s deceptive propaganda marketed for the West. The single goal remains: the liquidation of the tiny state of Israel, however this is accomplished. Remember that in its “peaceful” movement to destroy Israel, the PLO endorsed BDS (boycotts, divestments and sanctions), and issued an unprecedented call to the international community to participate. The PLO was founded in order to destroy Israel and it remained (and remains) committed to doing the same.
In 1998, the New York Times reported:
The Palestinians say the anti-Israeli clauses were annulled by a vote of the Palestine National Council on April 24, 1996, that the Israeli and American Governments welcomed. The current Israeli Government says the vote was inadequate, because it failed to specify which articles in particular were revoked and did not adopt an amended charter.
Telling.
“PA presents the PLO Charter as currently calling for Israel’s destruction,” by Itamar Marcus and Maurice Hirsch, Palestinian Media Watch, March 16, 2021:
As part of a TV series entitled “Lexicon of the Revolution” official PA TV broadcast a filler about the 1964 Charter of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
While presenting the historical overview of the Charter, the PA chose to cite the Charter’s declarations denying Israel’s right to exist and the PLO’s goal of destroying Israel, even claiming that it is supported by the UN. For example:
“The Palestinian Arab people is the one with the legitimate right to its homeland”
“The 16th clause [of the Charter] states that the liberation of Palestine, from an international perspective, is a defensive operation necessitated by self-defense, as determined by the UN Charter.”
[Official PA TV, Aug. 10, 2018; March 6 (twice) 2021]
This second message is stated both by the narrator and reinforced by a slide on the screen.
Text: “Clause 16 states that the liberation of Palestine, from an international perspective, is a defensive operation necessitated by self-defense, as determined by the UN Charter” alongside the old Fatah logo that includes crossed rifles and the map of “Palestine” that includes all of Israel, together with this text: “Al-Asifa – the Palestinian National Liberation Movement”
What was left out of the PA TV broadcast is just as significant as what was included. Most specifically, there is no reference to the fact that the PA obligated itself to cancel all the clauses of the PLO Charter calling for Israel’s destruction, under the terms of the Oslo Accords.
The narrator’s introductory explanation likewise denies Israel’s right to exist – saying Israel exists on Arab “stolen homeland” and therefore “returning it” is an act of “self-defense”:
“The Charter… is based on the right to self-defense and to the return of the stolen homeland in its entirety; and it is a right that the international conventions and norms confirm.”
To eliminate all doubt that all of Israel is defined as the “stolen homeland,” the accompanying map depicts the Middle East without Israel and all of Israel as “Palestine”:
Text underneath the map: “It is a right that the international conventions and norms confirm”
Other points stressed in the PA educational item:
“The clauses of the National Charter include a number of issues: The first clause states that: Palestine is an Arab land and is connected with a national connection to the other Arab lands, which together with it form the great Arab homeland, and that the Palestinian Arab people is the one with the legitimate right to its homeland, and it is an inseparable part of the Arab nation… The other clauses deal with the Palestinian identity… and the importance of the Palestinian cause for Arab existence.”
While the program makes a point of mentioning that amendments were made to the Charter in 1968, it ignores the fact that other amendments were to have been instituted following the signing of the Oslo Accords and that those amendments were to cancel all the clauses denying Israel’s right to exist, including the ones cited in this TV program.
In a letter accompanying the 1993 Declaration of Principles addressed to then Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, Yasser Arafat wrote:
“[T]he PLO affirms that those articles of the Palestinian Covenant which deny Israel’s right to exist, and the provisions of the Covenant which are inconsistent with the commitments of this letter are now inoperative and no longer valid. Consequently, the PLO undertakes to submit to the Palestinian National Council for formal approval the necessary changes in regard to the Palestinian Covenant.”
The September 1995 Interim Agreement between Israel and the PLO, reiterated the PLO obligation to change its charter:
“The PLO undertakes that, within two months of the date of the inauguration of the Council, the Palestinian National Council will convene and formally approve the necessary changes in regard to the Palestinian Covenant, as undertaken in the letters signed by the Chairman of the PLO and addressed to the Prime Minister of Israel, dated September 9, 1993 and May 4, 1994.” [Article XXXI(9)]
PA TV hiding from its viewers that the PLO was to have canceled those sections denying Israel’s right to exist and calling for Israel’s destruction is consistent with current PA messaging to its people that include the same ideology found in the original PLO charter:
Hundreds of PA maps, including those that appear in all PA schoolbooks, still depict all of Israel as “Palestine”.
Israeli cities are still referred to as “Palestinian”.
Leading up to the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration on November 2, 2017, the PA conducted an entire campaign in which they referred to the declaration as “illegal” and even demanded an apology from the UK….

To site somewhat, the heading of this jihadwatch article which is “Palestinian Authority reiterates the the PLO charter which calls for the total destruction of Israel is still in effect.”
This means that it’s fitting and proper to also reiterate that only the naive and uninformed Westerner could have any faith ,at all, that is a proposed “two state solution.” that Palestinian Authority would keep and honor any of the promises that they might make in a “peace agreement solution.”
To be realistic the PA has no genuine honor and would only keep any promises that they might make in such a “peace agreement” only as long as it would suit their agenda and no longer.
Furthermore, under a “two state solution” the PA also would be so despicable as to allow Muslim terrorists to use the PA state land as base to scheme and them engage murderous Islamic terror attacks into Israel and to likewise murder peaceful Israel citizens.
The “two state solution” is a sick joke and hoax as well as a jihadist strategy to destroy all of the State of Israel.

Yes–the “two state solution” would be at best a stepping stone to the destruction of Israel.

This reiteration by the PA that the PLO charter still calls for total destruction of Israel is very interesting
This should also make some people who feel that the”two state solution such a”good idea” rethink their favor of that absurd and unrealistic idea.
Furthermore that reiteration by the PA leads to that fact that it’s appropriate to also reiterate that the PA and the PLO are fated to fail in their Islamic goal to eliminate Israel.. . This is because they are greatly overruled by God. For He will protect Israel and keep her from being destroyed.
As the Bible reveals to its reader “For the Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His special treasure.” [N.K.J.V.]

…………..
This isn’t something the PA always admit.

I used to think Two States would be the solution for peace between the Arabs and the Jews however having studied the situation more closely in the past few years I can see that the PLO and other Arabs are merely playing a game whereas as soon as they created any State of their own this would in turn embolden them to really attack Israel until it was ashes, but they obviously have no sense of History, even as far back as 1967, or the fact that Jews, and Christians, lived on this Land long before Muhammad, may piss be upon him, met his delusional angels in a cave, so if they speak of the “right of return” then this would be, obviously, the Jewish people who were conquered by Muhammadans, may piss be upon them, evil army and they all left otherwise they would be killed or forced to convert to this evil Fascist Religious Cult, which is akin to Satan.
Its truly amazing that Historical FACTS have got in the way of today,s story that Palestine was once upon a time, a country, with a set of Laws, a flag, a Prime Minister, a culture etc, when this has never happened…. EVER…
muslims seems to have convinced the World that they, and they alone, are the victims of the World, even after they attacks us it is just because they are unemployed…or have mental problems… of course they have mental problems, they believe the Quran is the word of Gawd.

Yes–as a teenager when I first heard about the “two-state solution” I thought it was a great idea. I knew nothing about this already existing in the form of Jordan, nor–more importantly–about Fatah vowing to destroy Israel outright.
Walter Sieruk says
Since the Palestinian Authority , no doubt ,gladly reiterated that the PLO charter still calls for the complete destruction of Israel , Therefore I will gladly reiterate that the idea of the concept of a “two state solution” is out of the question. .This is because a “two state solution” not really a “solution” but an Islamic ploy of deception , a smokescreen and hoax and a fraud.
For example those recent Hamas rocket attacks in to Israel from Gaza reveals that even the idea of some people of dividing Jerusalem as well as other parts of the State of Israel between the Jewish people of the Muslim/ Arabs is nothing but folly. To engage the madness of such “talks” is a hoax and a farce .This is because in the so called “negotiations” between the heads of the Jewish nation of Israel and the leaders of the “Palestinians” the Muslim /Arabs the “Palestinian” leaders will speak the truth only when in happens to fit their agenda. The rest of the time the will be speaking half-truths and outright lies. For their goal is to obtain all of the land of the State of Israel ,.Even in it takes much time and it means getting the land piece by piece. So those “peace talks” are a hoax.
For the “Palestinian” leaders are employing what is the Islamic doctrine of Taqiyya . Which is the Islamic dogma that lying and deception are good things to do as long as it’s done for the cause of the advancement of Islam. The insidious scheme is part of the stealth jihad .Otherwise known as “Islamic Gradualism.” This sly and something subtle strategy of disingenuous speech, lying deception of achieving the goal of all the land of Israel a war ploy that will be a disaster if the heads of the State of Israel are foolish enough to agree to divide the land of Israel with Muslim /Arabs ,the “Palestinians.” For if such a “peace dialogue” results in a divided land, the outcome will literally be murder. For “Palestinian” leader will allow the jihadists use that land as a base to launch murderous rocked attacks in to Israel. As for example, Hamas of Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Such false hopes for peace which are based on the foundation of lies are nothing new when it comes to Israel . For example, the Bible in Psalm 55:20, 21. Reads “Such men do violence to those at peace with them and break their promised word; their speech is smoother the butter but their thoughts are of war.” [N.E.B.]

Still getting funding from the EU for their new terror state. Perhaps Israel should start shooting back.
