“There is a photograph of London 110 years ago and all the women wear the hijab – and they did not wear just one hijab. More like two or three.”
You ever see a photo like that? Neither have I. You think Saad Al-Mudaris is capitalizing upon the ignorance of his audience in order to indoctrinate them with his hate propaganda? So do I.
Anyway, is Saad Al-Mudaris an “extremist”? That would be a tough position to sustain, as what he says is based on the Qur’an:
Qur’an 2:65: “And well you know there were those among you that transgressed the Sabbath, and we said to them, “Be apes, miserably slinking!”
Qur’an 5:59-60: “Say: ‘People of the Book, do you blame us for any other cause than that we believe in Allah, and what has been sent down to us, and what was sent down before, and that most of you are ungodly?’ Say: ‘Shall I tell you of a recompense with Allah, worse than that? Whoever Allah has cursed, and with whom He is angry, and made some of them apes and swine, and worshippers of idols — they are worse situated, and have gone further astray from the right way.’”
Qur’an 7:166: “And when they turned in disdain from that forbidding We said to them, ‘Be you apes, miserably slinking!’”
“Iraqi Shi’ite Scholar Sheikh Saad Al-Mudaris: The Jews Used Their Money To Spread Darwinism Throughout The World In An Attempt To Remove The Shame Of Being Descendants Of Apes And Pigs,” MEMRI, April 13, 2021:
Iraqi Shi’ite scholar Sheikh Saad Al-Mudaris said that the Jews are pleased with Charles Darwin’s theory that humankind is descended from apes, in order to remove their shame of being the descendants of those Allah had turned into apes and pigs. He made these remarks in a lecture that was posted on his YouTube channel on April 10, 2021. Al-Mudaris said that the Jews spread Darwinism throughout the world and that they used their money to make universities and institutes teach this theory. He continued to say that people who were convinced by this theory also started to pursue sexual promiscuity. This is because once the Europeans came to believe that the first man originated in apes, they decided to emulate their “ape forefathers” and “just have sex in public.”
Sheikh Saad Al-Mudaris: “Charles Darwin claimed that the first man descended from apes, and this theory pleased the Jews, who have spread it around. Why? They are malicious. Who did Allah transform into apes? The Jews. Being descendants of apes has become the Jews’ badge of shame. Since Charles Darwin said that the first man had originated in a group of apes, no one could be described as more despicable than the other. If you say that our [Jewish] ancestors were transformed into apes and pigs – well, Charles Darwin says that the first man was created through an evolutionary link or a genetic mutation of apes. So what is the origin of all of us? Apes!
“The [Jews] have spread this theory. The problem is that many nations around the world have come to believe Charles Darwin’s theory. The Jews used their money to make universities and institutions teach this theory. They organized symposiums and debates.
“People who were ultimately persuaded by Charles Darwin’s theory that the first man originated from apes have entered the realm of sexual promiscuity. When did sexual promiscuity appear in Europe? Right from the start? If you go back 150-200 years, you see that [women] in Europe wore the hijab. There are documents online that show… There is a photograph of London 110 years ago and all the women wear the hijab – and they did not wear just one hijab. More like two or three.
“How has European society come to believe in the culture of nudity? Once they came to believe that the first man originated in apes, they said: ‘what’s the point? Why should we marry a woman without being able to divorce her? What do we need the church for? Why can’t we live like our forefathers the apes and just have sex in public?’

MOqifen: 110 years ago, that was the Edwardian era, one that I consider one of the most stylish
in fashion history. However, it is true that working class women often wore headscarves, while the better off wore nice hats. Also the men almost always wore hats. It was rare to see a man without a hat of some kind. This was not for any religious reason, it was just the fashion of the times. On a point of fact, Darwin did not say humans were descended from apes. He said that apes and humans had a common ancestor. The oldest ancestor of humans and all mammals was a fish!

First of all, evolutionary theory does NOT contend that man descended from the apes. Rather, evolutionary theory, which I think is substantiated by an absolutely enormous amount of evidence (e.g., we have over 80,000 Neanderthal skeletons alone, never mind at least six species of Australopithecus and even earlier hominids before Homo habilis and Homo erectus and the Australopithecines such as Orrorin tugenensis and Sahelanthropus thchadensis going back 7 millions years or more) asserts that man and the four apes (gorilla, chimpanzee, orangutan and gibbon) are descended from the same common stock, sometime back in the late Miocene Epoch or early Pliocene Epoch of the Tertiary Period of the Cenozoic Era.
Second point: Why the Hell hasn’t Islam been laughed out of existence by now since it keeps producing buffoons aplenty like this turkey, the subject of the present article? And I mean no insult to real turkeys, who belong to the genus Meleagris, and for whom I have much more respect than any Islamic cleric.

Wellington. I often feel the same way as you. I also feel that islam, this load of primitive, outdated rubbish, should have been laughed out of existence, but I suppose it is because Islam tries to, and often does, murder anyone who does seek to laugh the load of crap out of existence. Look at what happens when a cartoon of Muhammad is shown. Islam seems to be really like an ultra violent crime gang and always has been. Even though it is a load of evil rubbish, anyone that tries to criticise it or laugh it out of existence (which is definitely what it deserves to have happen to it) is killed.

My immediate reaction was, what a complete moron. Oh, he’s another Muslim “scholar”. These ignoramuses, that are apparently considered to be “scholars” in the Muslim world, are some of the dumbest people who have ever drawn breath. This clown’s knowledge of history is non-existent. He makes up some fantasy that he’d would like to have happened in history (European women used to wear hijabs, yeah, right, you moron) and probably knows that the ignorant fools who listen to his idiotic ravings would not know that everything he says is complete garbage. I’m with Robert Spencer. I haven’t seen that photograph either. It only exists in this imbecile’s fevered imagination. I’m sure that, based on the crap these “scholars” say, you have to have an IQ below 20 in order to go and study to become a Muslim “scholar”. Anyone with an IQ higher than that is excluded from becoming a Muslim “scholar”.
mortimer says
The ‘scholarship’ of Islamic academies (producing arrogant fools like this) involves MEMORIZATION of formulae and the statements of medieval Islamic authorities who codified and canonized Islam. They are not encouraged to be ‘creative’ or ‘original’ in their research … they are MEMORIZING what came before in order to repeat it.
Many mullahs after years at work find the discrepancies within Islam start to grind on them after repeating these unconvincing explanations day in and out. Finally, many mullahs can’t take it any longer and leave Islam quietly without much fanfare.
There are about one million mullahs.

The idea of someone learning the Koran by heart and then being proud of that fact is totally ludicrous. A similar exercise would be to remember that fat content, the saturate content and the carbohydrate content of every common food in the average person’s diet. That would also be pointless. Why not just pick up and read a book. The more we read about these ‘scholars’ the more it seems obvious that a ‘doctorate’ from an Arab university is about equivalent to an old 11-plus. By the way – the dividing IQ between a human being and a sub-human is about 70. There is a tribe in Guinea who are at this level but they have been left in peace.

The Qur’an is a lot uglier than saturated fat charts.

Thanks for the information, mortimer, I thought that these clownish, imbecilic Muslim “scholars” probably would spend their time learning, by rote, dopey islamic texts. It is an activity that probably rots the brain. It would probably be likely to drive a person mad. But what got me is this idiot pontificating about the way things were in history. What he says it complete fantasy land stuff. I suppose if you are a Muslim who has a fanatical hatred of the Jewish people, then you can say that Jews are responsible for everything you don’t like. This “scholar” sees the Darwinian theory of evolution as having been spread by the Jews and says that European women wore Hijabs. It fits into the category of things that you just couldn’t make up, except that this Muslim “scholar” has gone right ahead and made it up. When I read the ravings of these Muslim “scholars”, I do often think that there are educated Muslims, doctors, etc, and I think that surely they must think that these “scholars” are complete idiots.
gregbeetham says
No brain no pain, these living Neanderthals should be able to associate with their ancestry instinctively one would think but such is the wonder of living in denial and self delusion they are capable of not bothering to check the science before running off at the mouth with total rubbish.
It is established beyond doubt genetically that hominids and primates diverged between 8 and 6 million years ago, well before mankind created God or any religions appeared to afflict our kind with mumbo jumbo, well, much of it is mumbo jumbo until proven otherwise, Islam is certainly a fabrication, that much is clear.
tim gallagher says
gregbeetham, yes, these Muslim “scholars” do talk some of the most imbecilic rubbish ever uttered by a human being, that’s for sure. They do seem to inhabit a complete fantasy world. Like this idiot saying that European women once used to wear islamic garb, (wishful thinking on his part) and that the Jews promoted the Darwinian theory of evolution. If this idiot had even half a brain he would surely be embarrassed to speak such crap.

Whenever Muslim leaders (like this mullah) want to support a point in a speech, they simply make up details that corroborate their unconvincing narrative. I have witnessed such Islamic fabrications personally and read many examples of it. It appears to be acceptable among Muslims.
This tradition of FABRIBCATION goes back to Mohammed and the chiefest examples were the hadiths and the Koran itself. So fabrication is normative Islam, rather than an aberration.
It has been suggested that the wimple of nuns was a result of the Crusaders interacting with Muslims, but the wimple was not universally used in the West by any means.
In fact, Western men and women wore hats until the early 1960s whenever they left their door. It was simply a matter of being fully dressed.
Fabrication is part and parcel of ordinary Muslim culture in Muslim countries. I heard an educated Muslim try this sort of thing in front of a university auditorium filled with experts on the topic. They met his fabrications with stoney silence and did not challenge the nonsense.

A lot of women would cover their hair 100 years ago in the west, either with a shawl or a headscarf. This though was practical reasons not religious. Generally though this was to keep a hairstyle in place or just to keep the hair clean.
It was never compulsory or indeed imposed. In Glasgow up until the 1950s a woman who had her hair uncovered was referred to as a “hairy” which meant a rather low class woman. There was never a religious implication.
Aussie Infidel says
That video illustrates the scientific illiteracy of many Muslim scholars, their hatred of the Jews, and their disdain of Western culture.
Claiming that the Jews are descendants of apes and pigs is a favorite tactic of Muslim activists, and so stupid it defies any rational analysis.
It has been my experience that critics of Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection, have never read ‘On the Origin of Species’, or the ‘Descent of Man’ – even his ‘Voyage of the Beagle’; and most are completely ignorant of the enormous amount of evidence amassed by Darwin over 50 years of research. His effort truly monumental. The scholarship of Darwin compared to that of Al-Mudaris, would be like comparing a PhD candidate to a primary school kid.
When I was growing up in Australia in the 1940s and 50s, many women wore headscarves in lieu of a hat on windy days at sporting events or just out shopping – and some still do to this day. Some women (particularly Catholics) also wore veils at church and funerals. But wearing a scarf was their own personal choice, not some dogmatic religious or ideological requirement demanded by their scriptures – or by ignorant mullahs like Saad Al-Mudaris.
And Al-Mudaris doesn’t mention that hijabs became compulsory for Muslim women, when Muhammad was urged by Umar that his wives should cover themselves so they would not be recognized when going out to relieve themselves at night. (Sahih Bukhari 8:74:257 & Sahih Muslim 26:5397).
https://wikiislam.net/wiki/Qur%27an,_Hadith_and_Scholars:Muhammads_Wives_and_Concubines
And even though Muslims like Al-Mudaris deny it, from that point onward, the hijab became a means of controlling the activities of women in Muslim societies.
gravenimage says
Yes. My own mother would wear a scarf on windy days, of which there were many, in San Francisco in the 1960s. It was also a heavily Catholic neighborhood, and this was not uncommon.
But as you note it was *never* mandated, and few of these scarves covered up all of the hair, in any case.
And most of this scarf-wearing (besides that in Catholic churches) was just a fashion in the 1950s and ’60s–you seldom found it much before or since. It had more to do with protecting the often elaborate hairdos of that time than anything else. Once the more natural look came in in the 1970s scarves largely went out of fashion except with older ladies.

3) the women are dressed head to toe in black and heavily veiled.
4) the reason for this is that they are attending the funeral of The Emperor Franz Joseph.
