Biden’s handlers are so bent on appeasing the Islamic Republic of Iran that they appear increasingly willing and even eager to throw the Saudis to the wolves. The Saudis have a human rights record as abysmal as Iran’s, and are just as much built on Sharia as a society, but they’re in an alliance of convenience with the U.S. right now and are not screaming “Death to America” or aiding jihad terror groups worldwide. In the game of realpolitik they’re playing, Biden’s handlers are once again making the wrong choice.
“US State Dept refers to Saudi ISIS sympathizer sentenced to prison as ‘aid worker,’” by Reem Krimly and Tamara Abueish, Al Arabiya, April 10, 2021 (thanks to Henry):
The United States State Department on Tuesday issued a statement saying it was concerned about the sentencing of a Saudi Arabian citizen known to be an ISIS sympathizer, referring to him as an “aid worker.”
“We are concerned by reports that a Saudi counterterrorism court sentenced Saudi aid worker Abdulrahman al-Sadhan to 20 years in prison followed by a 20-year travel ban,” a statement by Ned Price, US State Department spokesperson read.
Dozens of people on social media, including two Saudi royals, pointed out that al-Sadhan is an ISIS sympathizer and not an aid worker.
Tweets belonging to al-Sadhan under the Twitter handle (@Sama7ti) showed that he is an avid supporter of the extremist group and often called for attacks on Saudi Arabia and other countries by ISIS.
“The participation of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and others in the airstrike against ISIS gives the state [ISIS] all the justifications to storm these countries, and their storming will not be described as an attack,” al-Sadhan said in a 2014 tweet.
“When do you intend to come to Saudi Arabia? We have a lot [of people] that need to be slaughtered,” al-Sadhan also tweeted in 2014, in response to a now-suspended ISIS-backed Twitter account.
Referring to ISIS fighters as “mujahideen,” al-Sadhan also expressed excitement at the possibility of the terrorist group “liberating” the region.
“Iraq has the most and the largest camps in the region with billions of equipment, most of which fell into the hands of the mujahideen… It is sufficient enough to liberate the entire Arab region. Allah is the greatest,” he tweeted in 2014.
Prince Talal al-Faisal also shared tweets by al-Sadhan in which the latter called for ISIS and others to launch attacks on countries in the Middle East to publish the personal information of Saudi Arabian security personnel.
“Actions have consequences. This supposed “aid worker” called for the publishing of the personal information (phone number/address/license plate number) of security personnel, which ultimately led to the killing of Col. Kitab Al Hammadi,” al-Faisal said.
Saudi Prince Abdulrahman bin Mosaad said that if the Kingdom does not crackdown on “the likes of al-Sadhan,” it would be enabling hundreds of ISIS sympathizers to spew violence and possibly carry out terrorist attacks in the region.
“Abdulrahman al-Sadhan, who writes on Twitter under the name Sama7ti has tweets that explicitly support ISIS, adopts its ideology and promotes it,” bin Mosaad said.
He also called out US hypocrisy, stating that Washington would hold Saudi Arabia accountable if al-Sadhan had carried out terrorist attacks, but has condemned the Kingdom for issuing a court judgement against him.
“If we released the likes of al-Sadhan, we would be supporting ISIS, and if a court judgement is made against him, we have breached human rights!!” he wrote on Twitter….

How odd ? How absurd ? What a waste of “concern.” . Genuine concern should be shown towards the many victims of ISIS.
Such an absurdity of of misplaced concern from the US State Department is really a result of that terrible old goat ,Joe Biden ,resting inside the White House posing ,as in pretending to a a actual ,real US President.
Creepy old Joe is rather well explained on a tee-shirt that I have and wear ‘ It reads “United We Stand , Biden We Fall ”
Likewise another tee -shirt that is fitting for Joe , has printed in it that the letters “B.I.D.E.N.”
Biggest , Idiot , Democrats , Ever , Nominated.

Agree. The Democrats themselves considered Biden too much of a liar when he first ran for president. He plagiarized the speeches of other politicians and added the details to his own curriculum vitae and was caught by the still-honest media of the time. NOT TODAY.

It’s not entirely fair to pin this on the unelected Oval Office Occupant. State has been an open joke for decades, the punchline being that it is somewhat immune to the desires of the executive and legislative branches and regularly implements policies favorable to other nations with whom the State Dept. lifers have come to identify. So Sate calls a violent world takeover guy an aid worker. But he’s also an Arab, which means non-white, which in turn garners diplomatic largesse.
After decades with the title, State is no longer considered the gubmint’s most corrupt agency. It has been bypassed by the Justice Dept., including the FBI within it. Justice is now by a wide margin the most corrupt federal department, perhaps in our national history.

As usual, good and insightful post from you, APF.

APF, I reckon your right, can’t blame Sleezy Joe & Camel Toe for all of this, they are both too incompetent to be able to control the state department.

Grimly true, APF.

This is a sign of how seriously they perceive threats to the Saudi establishment.
Abdulrahman al-Sadhan as an aid worker had political views not in harmony with a country with strict censorship. He knew that or should reasonably have known it. Though he indulged in unrestrained (and foolish) tweets soliciting warfare against Saudi Arabia and against its military members, a 20-year sentence is extreme. Since he is a Saudi citizen, the man he falls under that country’s legal system.
However, the American Diktokrats wouldn’t be above politically=motivated charges and arrests, though, through their politicized Diktokratic CIA and FBI … would they?? Ask Gen. Flynn and Roger Stone.
What two-faced hypocrites the Diktokrats are. Their lies will be judged by history.

…only if countervailing forces can stop and reverse the takeover of our country by the forces of corruption and evil, Mortimer.

Ever since Biden nipped the arms deal that the US had w/ the Saudis – justified or not – they’ve totally lost any clout that the US had w/ the Saudis. Forget MbS: if you were the guy running KSA right now, would you take any US concerns seriously? I wouldn’t!
Saudi Arabia should do what they did in 2016 to Nimr al Nimr: execute this person just to thumb their nose at the US. It’s not like they’re getting anything from the US that the US can pull! Once the people pulling the Biden puppet strings from behind see that their policies are boomeranging, just like they are at the border, they’ll be a lot more careful about how they handle these things, since power is what they love the most!

“Biden’s handlers are once again making the wrong choice.”
Depends on your definition of “wrong”, Mr. Spencer. If their goal is the fastest way to achieve destruction of the USA (and the West in general), then they are indeed making the “right” choice by siding with the more fanatical Iranian mullahs rather than the content Saudi royalty.

Bogus President Biden and those pro-Islamic terrorists staff he chooses for his State department officials exposes what an awful terrible man he really is
In addition, Biden is “good news” for Abbas and his terrorist funding PA. Likewise Biden is also is “good news” to the ears of the murderous and destructive jihadist chiefs of ISIS, Hezbollah , Hamas , Islamic jihad and other similar Muslim terror /murder groups.

Maybe he was “an aid worker”, by day at least and an ISIS flunky in his spare time.
Maybe the State Department want us to believe that his involvement was just a hobby or because he thought ISIS was an acronym for Intense Sex Involving Sheep, not a global terrorist group.

I am no fan of the Jihad terror enabling Saudis–who likely just see ISIS as a rival Jihad group–but they are still not wrong in this case.

Who’s not wrong – Saudi Arabia or the State Department?

I guess I was not clear–I meant that Saudi Arabia is not wrong in this one case

Saudi Arabia is only an ally of convince their convince no ours. They truly love the high tech. military gear that we provide them, and the oil dollars flowing into their bank accounts.
Unfortunately Americas political leaders are known around the world as an easy touch until True came along. But Biden – Harris have made America back open for handouts to both friends and foes. After all its not their money they give away its YOURS.
