The independent Catholic News Agency discusses Boko Haram and the Muslim Fulani militia, overwhelmingly the two groups most likely to have murdered Fr. Bello and kidnapped Fr. Keke. Vatican News fastidiously refers to the perpetrators as “bandits,” without giving any hint of an Islamic jihad aspect to the crimes. Mustn’t transgress against the Francischurch narrative.
“Catholic priest killed, another kidnapped in attack on Nigerian parish,” by Courtney Mares, Catholic News Agency, May 21, 2021 (thanks to Tom):
Gunmen attacked a Catholic parish in northern Nigeria Thursday, killing one priest and kidnapping another.
Fr. Alphonsus Bello was found dead May 21, the morning after his parish, St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in the Diocese of Sokoto, was attacked by armed bandits. He was 33.
Bello was kidnapped along with another priest, Fr. Joe Keke, 75, who remains missing, according to a statement from the diocese in the extreme northwest of Nigeria.
Fr. Cornelius Tagwai, chancellor of Sokoto diocese, appealed for prayers for “the immediate and safe return of Fr. Keke and for the peaceful repose of Fr. Bello.”
After the attack, Fr. Bello’s body was left in farmland behind the local catechetical training school….
On May 17, a Catholic priest serving in Nigeria’s northern Kaduna archdiocese was kidnapped with 10 other people in an attack by gunmen that killed eight people.
Two days later, bandits reportedly attacked an Assemblies of God church building in northern Nigeria, also killing eight people, according to local media.
Nigerians have suffered attacks from Boko Haram since 2009. Insecurity in the country has also worsened due to the actions of the predominantly Muslim Fulani militia, who often clash with farmers over grazing lands….
“Nigeria: Bandits kill one Catholic priest, kidnap another,” Vatican News, May 21, 2021:
Father Alphonsus Bello, a parish priest in northern Nigeria, was found dead on Friday morning, while another priest, Father Joe Keke was allegedly kidnapped by unknown bandits, a symptom of the rising state of insecurity in the country….
Father Umoh said Fr Bello’s tragic death comes after an earlier report at about 1:35 am by the Dean of Malumfashi Deanery, Fr Stephen Ojapah, MSP, who pointed out that the parish house of St. Vincent Ferrer had been attacked by a group of about fifteen bandits.
Frs. Alphonsus Bello and Joe Keke were abducted by the group of bandits during the attack.
The whereabouts of Fr Keke, 75, is still unknown and the kidnappers have not made contact.

Message to Pope Francis: this is a RELIGIOUSLY-MOTIVATED GENOCIDE, Yr Holiness. It’s time for the pope to learn about the JIHAD DOCTRINE of Islam, rather than continue to deny it exists.
There are many well-informed RC priests and even some bishops who have STUDIED and MASTERED the jihad doctrine and know it is a NORMATIVE, CLASSICAL, COMPULSORY, and CANONICAL ISLAMIC ACTION, rather than an aberration.
The pope doesn’t understand jihad because he is resisting learning about it. He is satisfied with his SURMISALS and GUESSES. The pope’s guesses are way off the mark.

Mortimer,
Pope Francis is 84 years old.
Even if he started right now, to learn the truth about islam, he’d be dead before he figured it out…
gravenimage says
James, some 84-year-olds are still open to learning new things. I don’t think Pope Francis *wants* to know about Islam and what it really teaches.
James Lincoln says
gravenimage,
Yes, some 84-year-olds are “sharp as a tack” and open to new ideas. My own father, a physician, was 84 years old and still went to medical conferences to get the latest updates.
I prefer your explanation…
gravenimage says
Thank you, James. But you are right that most 84-year-olds are pretty set in their ways, for good or ill.

Purely demonic, from the human sons of the demons, doing the devil’s work and calling themselves the best of o people, while the Catholic church sits on its collective hands…and denies that islam is behind this, that mozlums are the perps, the murderers, the ones attacking and killing with abandon.
Perhaps the pope doesn’t want to hurt satan’s feelings. Or perhaps he already agrees with the adherents of islam….and believes Christians don’t deserve life.
Raja says
Somehistory,
The Catholic church is doing the impossible- of shielding the Islamic terrorists and absolving them of all evil deeds, though they relish doing the wicked deeds of the devil.
This is justice in reverse gear, contrary to what God expects of man and powers that be. Hardly surprising, as the Catholic church is already doing what is explicitly unscriptural, as in the cases of not eating meat on some days of the week and the celibacy of the :priestly class. This deviation from the truth was prophesied in the new testament. It has been off the mark since ages and it can only get worse.
somehistory says
Raja,
I agree. If we read and understand Scripture, it’s obvious when one…or many…is/are not following the commands written therein.
Raja says
Somehistory,
Thanks for the reply.Appreciated.

CogitoErgoSum says
This is the result of thinking that Christians and Muslims worship the same god and that, therefore, Islam comes from the same god. No, the god of Islam is quite obviously not the God of Christians and those leaders of the Catholic Church who believe that it is better to keep quiet than to tell the truth to the world are doing nothing less than betraying the one who said He is the Truth.

I’m getting tired of hearing that it’s a “land” issue, a “bandit” issue, a “farm” issue—
This is an ISLAM issue.

You and me both. I’ve been tired now for some time and nothing gives me rest.

Nigeria: Muslims murder Catholic priest, kidnap another, Vatican News covers up identity of attackers
……………..
Just appalling–but sadly I am not really surprised.

Try posting this and other stories of the murderous Muslims killing Christians on fascist book and Twitter, and its an immediate ban. I know! Time to move over to Telegram.

Grimly often true.
James Lincoln says
All Christians in Nigeria should be heavily armed.
There are ways to make this happen.
Perhaps the United States could effect this by using the money that has been earmarked for the “Palestinians”…
Andrew Blackadder says
The Pope calls them bandits, Obama claimed it was work placed violence…. see a pattern here anybody?.
