A teacher who sparked fury by showing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed to pupils during a lesson about blasphemy is living in a ‘safe house’ with his wife and children because of fears they will be attacked.
This should not be happening in any free society. The UK is under siege by jihadists and the Islamic supremacist groups that protect them, who scream “Islamophobia” at every turn to silence critics of Islam. The case of this teacher is similar to that of the French teacher Samuel Paty, who was beheaded for showing Muhammad cartoons to his class. Rather than condemn the barbarity of the Muslims involved in Paty’s execution, prominent Muslim groups and institutions condemned France for “Islamophobia” after the murder.
The British teacher’s life is in disarray while the UK government ignores him.

The case has even prompted a warning from the Archbishop of Canturbury, who said that the UK must hold on to the freedom of speech.

More than six weeks after fleeing his home following angry demonstrations outside Batley Grammar School in West Yorkshire, the teacher and his family are still being given police protection. The threat to their safety is judged so severe that even their relatives have not been told where they are living.

But Imam Adil Shahzad, who travelled to Batley from Bradford to join the protests, wants the teacher dismissed. ‘A precedent has to be set. Suspending the teacher was in the right direction and we won’t accept anything less than a sacking.’…
Speaking through his father, a 14-year-old Muslim pupil said that cartoons depicting the Prophet were shown on an overhead projector along with other images of the former US President Donald Trump, Pope Francis and Boris Johnson.
The Prophet cartoons were first published by the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten in September 2005 and again in the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, later the target of a gun rampage that left 12 members of staff dead. The schoolboy said pupils were unaware of who was shown in the cartoons until the teacher spelled out it was the Prophet and asked for their reaction. ‘No one said anything. I was just gobsmacked. But no one raised their hand to say anything,’ the pupil said.
The teenager said the teacher, a declared atheist, was popular with students and had never previously shown any disrespect towards Islam. ‘He never said anything bad, but he likes to challenge pupils’ minds. That’s the way he teaches.’
When the lesson ended and the students began to file out, the teacher asked: ‘So who is going to tell their parents tonight?’ The 14-year-old was one of those who did, initiating first an exchange of messages on a WhatsApp group for parents and then complaints to the school. One of the parents has claimed to have spoken to the teacher on the phone, writing on social media: ‘I got a call from Mr *****. I asked him to confirm what [my son] told me and he agreed. He [claimed] he has freedom of expression under his British values and could use that image. He stated he got consent from the children beforehand.’
By the following day, scores of Muslim protesters were at the school gates demanding the teacher be sacked. Among them was local imam Mohammed Amin Pandor, who has opposed gay marriage and even shared a fatwa against the Covid-19 vaccine. He said: ‘Ideally this teacher’s teaching days are over.’
On March 24, the teacher was suspended and the school accompanied its unreserved apology with the announcement of an independent panel to investigate. More than 130 Islamic clerics – including Imam Shahzad – wrote an open letter to Boris Johnson, accusing the teacher of ‘white supremacist ideology’. In a reply, Schools Minister Nick Gibb said: ‘It is never acceptable to threaten or intimidate teachers. We encourage dialogue between parents and schools when any issues emerge. Schools are free to include a full range of issues in their curriculum.’
Friends of the teacher were initially able to call but police advised the couple to change their numbers. Recalling a conversation with the teacher’s wife soon after the row erupted, a Muslim neighbour said: ‘She just said she was upset and their lives had been turned upside down. They could not reveal their location. They were the nicest family. They used to give us Eid cards. It’s awful what has happened. He was not Islamophobic at all.’…
In a statement, Batley Multi-Academy Trust said: ‘The investigator will make recommendations so, where necessary, appropriate lessons can be learned.’

Just like there are Poles who live and work in the UK, this teacher should put together a plan to migrate himself and family to Poland. Apply for refugee status there, and once there, get a job. They’ll all be a lot safer

If this man is an atheist, the Czech republic may suit him more. While the Czechs enthusiastically threw off communism, they also kept all religion out. Not sure where they stand on islam and muslim immigration, though, although I’ve never read any horror stories out of Bohemia the way I have out of countries like Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Austria, et al

“A teacher who sparked fury…” There is no fury from citizens accustomed to political caricatures and freedom of speech. The “fury” comes from only one quarter.
The government needs to state that freedom of speech is not negotiable, but under Boris Johnson that will not happen.
Those who have threatened the teacher should be prosecuted, but ….ditto.
Boris Johnson is not good at upholding the law: when Mayor of London he recommended “amnesty” to illegal immigrants, in other words dereliction of duty.

I see this story made it into the Mail on Sunday, but it doesn’t seem to obvious anywhere else. By the way, this business of the police having to protect UK citizens in safe houses doesn’t seem to be too uncommon these days, and it always seems to be muslims involved. Another story some years ago involved a Pakistani from Bradford who converted to Christianity and had to flee to a suburb for his own safety. Unfortunately, the Bradford police weren’t too helpful, because all the advice he got from them when he complained about the threats was ‘You shouldn’t behave like a crusader’ (not exactly what one would have heard in an episode BBC TV’s 1950’s ‘Dixon of Dock Green’ police series!); for some reason they weren’t able to stop him being shot in the kneecaps by a muslim mob. Multicultural Britain certainly does have a exciting future, doesn’t it? Let’s hope the teacher fares better.

Just out of curiosity, is there anything that free people do that is not offensive to them?
And, given that the megalomaniac lied 1400 years ago with no photo’s of him, how do the mudslimes know what he looked like?

This situation is a disgrace. This teacher looks as though he will have his life destroyed over this trivial matter. It also seems to be the fate of that young woman in France, a teenager, who said something that offended the thin skinned Muslim scum. I wonder if it is because so many Muslims are always sitting around doing no work and collecting welfare that they seem to have the time to continue on and on with persecuting and threatening people who criticise their vile religion or this disgusting creature, Muhammad, the murderer and pedophile bandit. One thing is very clear and that is that our cherished western freedom of speech and Islam cannot exist together. Muslims should stay in their backward countries where showing a cartoon or criticising islam or their prophet isn’t allowed. I think to most western, freedom loving people showing a cartoon of Muhammad is nothing for any sane person to get their knickers in a knot over in the way Muslims do. They don’t belong in civilised, western countries where freedom of expression is allowed, as it should be by all grown ups, all mature people everywhere. The Muslims’ behaviour is infantile.

Check Burry, I guess it did take me quite a while, maybe 15 years or so, to wake up to the fact that Islam cannot get along with the values, such as freedom of speech, that are so central to our way of life in the western world. What i don’t understand is why almost everyone hasn’t got the message yet. We get nothing but trouble from Muslims. This teacher’s life will probably be buggered up forever over a cartoon of that evil creep, Muhammad. It is unbelievable.

Priti is such a disappointment! I initially read that she’s a ‘Thatcherite’, and having read the bio of her parents fleeing Idi Amin’s Uganda to come to the UK, one would think that she’d at least be wary of islam, and not tolerate the crackdown on non-muslims that go on every day. Maybe it’s Gujratis as a whole – Modi has softened considerably in India, and Priti has softened considerably in the UK. Really disappointing!

I wish to publicly apologize to the remaining family members of Enoch Powell who spoke in 1968 in London of the insanity of bringing so many people, like these islamic nutters, into the UK, and I, and many of my 20 year old friends, called him an old racist fart, and now I would like to declare that he was in fact a visionary and I was a stupid young guy that knew nothing about anything.
You can still, today, find his “Rivers Of Blood Speech” on You Tube.
Im just glad I left the UK in 1970 and never lived there again…. R.I.P. UK.
