He says it’s all about “Palestine,” but this likely formed his attitudes: the Jews in the Qur’an are called the strongest of all people in enmity toward the Muslims (5:82); they fabricate things and falsely ascribe them to Allah (2:79; 3:75, 3:181); they claim that Allah’s power is limited (5:64); they love to listen to lies (5:41); they disobey Allah and never observe his commands (5:13). They are disputing and quarreling (2:247); hiding the truth and misleading people (3:78); staging rebellion against the prophets and rejecting their guidance (2:55); being hypocritical (2:14, 2:44); giving preference to their own interests over the teachings of Muhammad (2:87); wishing evil for people and trying to mislead them (2:109); feeling pain when others are happy or fortunate (3:120); being arrogant about their being Allah’s beloved people (5:18); devouring people’s wealth by subterfuge (4:161); slandering the true religion and being cursed by Allah (4:46); killing the prophets (2:61); being merciless and heartless (2:74); never keeping their promises or fulfilling their words (2:100); being unrestrained in committing sins (5:79); being cowardly (59:13-14); being miserly (4:53); being transformed into apes and pigs for breaking the Sabbath (2:63-65; 5:59-60; 7:166); and more. They are under Allah’s curse (9:30), and Muslims should wage war against them and subjugate them under Islamic hegemony (9:29).
“Algeria: Athlete withdraws from Olympics to avoid facing Israeli opponent,” by Nur Ayoubi, Middle East Eye, July 23, 2021:
Algerian judoka Fethi Nourine has withdrawn from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in order to avoid facing an Israeli competitor.
Nourine, who was set to compete in the men’s under 73kg judo competition, announced his decision on Thursday, one day before the Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony.
The 30-year-old athlete was set to fight Sudan’s Mohamed Abdalrasool on 26 July in the first round. If he won, he would proceed to a potential clash with Israel’s Tohar Butbul.
Nourine spoke to local Algerian media on his withdrawal, saying that his support for the Palestinian cause made it impossible for him to compete against Butbul.
“We have worked hard to qualify for the Games, but the Palestinian cause is bigger than all that.
“My position is consistent on the Palestinian issue, and I reject normalisation, and if it cost me that absence from the Olympic Games, God will compensate,” he said.
The athlete’s coach, Amar Ben Yaklif, told the media, “We were unlucky with the draw. We got an Israeli opponent and that’s why we had to retire. We made the right decision.”
This is not the first time Nourine has withdrawn from competition to avoid facing an Israeli opponent. In 2019 he pulled out of the Judo World Championships in Tokyo for the same reason. Several Iranian judoka followed suit, triggering strong protests at the time….

He’s afraid of losing! Why not humiliate the Jew with a righteous pummeling? Muslims are brave in groups, in their cars running down folks on the sidewalk, or beating up old ladies, but in a fair fight–they run like little scairdy-cat girls.

Yep.

Obviously not a real sportsman and certainly not a true judoka. Anybody who withdraws from the Olympics or any other sport competition on political grounds, should be banned from such events for ever. Of course that will not happen at least in Algeria. “God will compensate”, he said. Do not hold your breath you idiot.
As someone else has said maybe the shame of losing to a Jew was too much to hazard.

Not a single Arab athlete is really interested in the palestinian cause.
The nightmare of every Muslim – athlete or chess player or whatever competition – is their irrational fear to loose to an Israeli and be forever HUMILIATED by their fellow Muslims
What is utterly disgusting is the politicization of sports by Muslims, and the world body does absolutely nothing
Each country which forbids its athlete from competing against any other for whatever reason should be thrown out until they change their mind
Walter Sieruk says
If shunning would be the very worst action that Muslims take part in against the Jewish people then this world would be a much less violent and deadly place to live in . Sadly ,this is not the case.

Algeria: Muslim athlete withdraws from Olympics to avoid facing Israeli opponent
………………
This kind of stupidity just makes Islam look weak–which it is.
Note that little Israel ranks 11th in Judo rankings–and Algeria 40th:

Most likely this tool was afraid of losing to a Jew.

Thanks for the additional information Gravenimage. I think the rankings speak for themselves.

And Algeria is not the only Muslim nation doing this:

Typical hate filled Muslim, especially when it comes to the Jewish people and Israel. He probably was fairly certain that he would lose and losing to an Israeli would be unbearable and very humiliating on the Olympic stage, so he opted out. It is Sunday here in Australia and I watch a program on Sky News called “Outsiders”. A couple of weeks back, one of the three presenters of the program, Rita Panahi had gave some strongly worded views on Islam after Naz Shah, an English politician, had made certain comments. Today, Rita Panahi made some comments about Joe Biden’s problems with dementia and the segment showed Biden, at a CNN town hall type meeting, getting tangled up and making extraordinarily incoherent comments. The segment has been put on youtube. I am hopeless with technology, so I will just say that it can be found if you google- There is something seriously wrong with the leader of the free world youtube. I have seen Biden being incoherent before, but this one staggered me. His mind seems totally shot to pieces. It is so weird and embarrassing. I’m not sure if it got much attention in the USA, but it is pretty horrifying.
gravenimage says
Tim, I think this is the clip you mean:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SzYTjyWUiU&ab_channel=SkyNewsAustralia
Very troubling stuff, even if his politics were not so awful.
tim gallagher says
Thanks for putting that up, gravenimage. That shows part of the segment I was referrring to. It does show part of Biden’s incoherent rambling, and that is the CNN town hall style meeting that was shown on “Outsiders”, but the Rita Panahi’s segment showed a bit more of it. Her segment, Biden’s ramblings and her commentary ran for around 5 minutes. I should try to learn to put these things up, but I am truly a technophobe. Probably because I haven’t had children that I can ask to help me with technology. When I put a couple of songs up on youtube, I got a man to set things up and he, realising I knew nothing, gave me exact instructions about how to do it. I wouldn’t have a clue. When I googled- There is something seriously wrong with the leader of the free world youtube, then I did find Rita Panahi’s segment. The commentator on the one you put up is Chris Kenny, a good commentator. My question is, do a lot of Americans see these unbelievably incoherent ramblings by Biden, or are they hidden away? I do wonder if they will replace him soon on medical grounds. I mean that stuff at the CNN town hall meeting is staggeringly bizarre and pretty sad. I’ve seen hopeless ramblings by Biden before, but this takes the cake. He is all over the place and making no sense at all.
Check Burry says
There are plenty more clips of Fumbler Joe doing the same, “Stop to think for a little bit too long”
President Trump does not have the slightest hint of that.
tim gallagher says
Yes, Check Burry, I have seen quite a few clips of Biden not making a lot of sense and often losing his train of thought, but this latest one is downright bizarre. I would not have a clue what he is talking about. The things he says seem to have no connection with one another. To have this man in charge, (well he’s obviously not in charge – there must be other people who are in charge) of the USA, or any country in the world, is extraordinary. A leader of any country has to have some sort of logic in what they are saying, but that is totally lacking from what Biden says in that CNN town hall meeting.
tim gallagher says
Thanks for the comment, Check Burry. I have seen quite a few video clips of Biden being incoherent and losing his train of thought, but this is the worst i have seen. The things he is talking about appear to have no connection to one another. I think the leader of any country should speak logically. They may talk a load of crap, and often they do, but they should have some logic to what they are saying. In this CNN town hall meeting, Biden is making no sense whatsoever.
tim gallagher says
Just to explain, there are two comments of mine there because I didn’t think the first comment got through. Wasn’t sure if the second comment got through, but now both have turned up.
gravenimage says
Tim, I think this is the clip you are referring to:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kN_FoVi7Ay0&ab_channel=SkyNewsAustralia
And thanks for the head’s up–I was not familiar with Rita Panahi, but she from this short clip seems very common sense.
As for technology, I am often rather tech challenged myself, I’m afraid.
But if you want to post a link, it is pretty easy–a short 3-step-process. On the link (article, video, etc) hit ctrl-L (that gets you to the URL (internet address) at the top of the page. Then hit ctrl-C to copy it. Then, on jw or any other place you want to post it to, in the comments box hit ctrl-V, and it will copy there. Good luck!
tim gallagher says
Thanks for the tip, gravenimage. I should go and learn this sort of stuff, but it is not a big interest for me I must say. I often feel that, when I try to do this stuff, something will go wrong. I like Rita Panahi and, in that clip, you can see she enjoys herself while battling away for her view of politics, etc. In that clip, the man is Steven Conroy, who was a minister in a Labor Government a decade or so back, so the idea is that Rita Panahi is the conservative and Conroy is the left winger. They do get into some pretty good arguments, but basically get along in a fairly jovial and harmonious way. Biden’s mental confusion is staggering. I can’t see how he can stay on. In that video clip, he made no sense at all. It was like some kind of stream of consciousness rambling. I have never seen another leader of any country speak in such an extremely confused way.
gravenimage says
Thanks, Tim–and I wasn’t pushing the tech stuff–whatever you feel comfortable with. My husband and I have some friends who are engineers and computer programmers, and some of their friendly advice is darn hard for me to follow. 🙂
As for Biden–yes, really scary stuff. The worst thing is that Kamala Harris is even worse politically, so I have no great interest in seeing her take over. It also might mean an extra term for her–or two.
I looked around a bit, and Rita Panahi seems pretty sane about the threat of Islam:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZhZuMfWkEI&ab_channel=SkyNewsAustralia
You see what she’s up against, though, even in Australia.
tim gallagher says
gravenimage, I was very happy to get your tip. We even have a couple of computer genius types in my own family. But I don’t have much to do with them. I value the information on the internet very much. I watch a lot of music being performed on youtube and other stuff. I only began to think that I could write songs a couple of years back. I probably should have known that i could give it ago. I figured I could write some decent lyrics, but, as I’m not much of a musician (though getting better now that I ditched the guitar and play electronic keyboards which works far better for me) so I didn’t think I could write songs. I started googling the chords and lyrics for songs (pretty much every song is there) and, from that, thought, hey, this isn’t so hard and I’ve written 50 or so songs since then. So, what I found on the internet got me started on that.. I have a brother who is a hippy type and knows even less than I do about technology and I said the other day to him, because i want to try get performing artists out here to, maybe, record a couple of songs I have written that I think are good, I said, these days everything is technology. I may have to learn a bit about technology so I can try to get my songs out there where performing artists might hear them. On Rita Panahi. She was born in the USA and her Iranian Muslim parents took her to Iran for some reason when she was a child. She knows Islam from the inside. She is an atheist now and is critical of islam. I personally do find her a little bit soft at times on islam, not often though, and I suspect it is because she still has family that are Muslims and she doesn’t want to hurt them. She is a feisty character, fearless, and I enjoy the way she often looks as though she is having the time of her life arguing with various leftist clowns. On Biden, his mental state is beyond scary. How can they keep him in his current position? Yes, I hear often from commentators that Harris is horrendous. I think, for the USA’s good, Biden should admit that he is not up to doing the job, because he surely is not. You are always a very helpful person, gravenimage, so thanks again for the tip.
gravenimage says
Thanks, Tim. I would love to hear some of your music sometime–good for you! I draw, paint, and write, but sadly have pretty much no musical talent. I do love music, though. I have great respect for technology, and the internet is extraordinarily useful (of course, it can also be a vehicle for evil, but that is another matter). The learning curve can be pretty steep at times, though.
And I had no idea that Rita Panahi is American–sounds as though she has spent a lot of time in Australia from her accent.
Oddly. I actually had a long talk with Kamala Harris once, back in the early aughts when she was running for San Francisco District Attorney. She had set up at the Forest Hill Muni Metro station to campaign, apparently not realizing that it had almost no traffic except at rush hour, unlike the downtown stations that are busy all day. Even after telling her I lived in the east bay and not in the city she wanted to talk. I had just left visiting a friend in Hospice, so was fine with decompressing a bit.
I was probably a bit more liberal still then than I am now, but I realized that her serving as District Attorney was nuts–she didn’t want to actually prosecute many crimes, and was more about trying to dismantle the whole system. I basically already knew this from news accounts, but talking to her really made it abundantly clear. She said that maybe someday she’d run for something where I could vote for her. This turned out to be true–but by then I had even more reason not to want to see her in any office.
And yes–she was a terrible District Attorney.
tim gallagher says
Thanks, gravenimage. I have tried a few creative things over the years. I could always draw a bit, so i did have a go at painting. I think it might have been because, way back then in the mid 1970’s I had a girlfriend who was a very good artist and I was inspired by her to give it a go. I realised soon enough that it wasn’t my thing. I could always sing reasonably well and I had a friend who was a good musician but couldn’t sing, so we had a duo for a couple of years. I have even written a novel, a crime novel, over the past few years, but, though it is finished, I ended up so bored with it that i won’t bother to try to get it published. Writing songs is something I do enjoy, at least so far, and I keep getting ideas so I go with them. My life has been cursed by severe mental illness many times, with extremely severe depression, so all my relationships fell apart as I was pretty unreachable and gloomy, and even psychotic at times no doubt, but I have always been kind of a loner anyway, so I quite enjoy my rather hermit like life, at least these days. At 71 years of age, I do like a peaceful life, and I have some very nice family members and a few friends, even though they are all somewhat left wing, but good people. You sound as if you and your husband have a good life which I am glad to hear.. I have heard bits of Rita Panahi’s life. I thought she was born in Iran, but it turns out she was born in the USA. She went back there last year for Sky News to cover the US election along with James Morrow, another American reporter who lives out here. They are on “Outsiders” together. . AS you say, from the accent, she must have come here to Australia ages ago. She mentions that she has a 14 year old son from time to time. This idea of defunding the police in the USA sounds absolutely crazy to me. Everything I hear about Kamala Harris is really bad . She seems to be way out on the loony far left. I find people like that have hopeless and destructive ideas. But Biden seems to be too far gone to remain President to me, or soon will be. He seems off the planet. Oh, and what you said about the internet is spot on. It has some good aspects and horrendously evil stuff as well. Just depends on the human beings that are using it. All the best to you and your husband. It is almost 5PM here so I’m off to cook some dinner and watch the news and some Olympic sport.
gravenimage says
Tim, you seem like a very creative guy, and have overcome a lot. I hope your life is good now.
And yes–my husband and I have built a good life.
