An Islamophobia “emergency” summit was endorsed unanimously by Canada’s MP’s amid the politicization of the murder of a Muslim family, run over by 19-year-old Nathaniel Veltman. According to police, Veltman did not belong to any organized group. In a manner reminiscent of Pakistan, due process was trampled under and mob rule appeared to prevail; the murder was declared an act of “terrorism” before court proceedings even began, despite the fact that according to Canadian law those proceeding are responsible for establishing motive. Veltman’s case is not truly a national matter, let alone an international one. Yet according to a Canadian Press report on July 19, the Veltman case is indeed of national concern, and the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) has released 61 groundbreaking recommendations for every level of government to fight “Islamophobia”: “A national strategy to fight anti-Muslim hate across society is one of 61 recommendations released Monday by the National Council of Canadian Muslims ahead of a summit on Islamophobia to be held later this week.” The Organization of Islamic Cooperation declared Veltman an “extremist” and called on the United Nations and other global bodies to declare March 15 “a day against Islamophobia and intolerance of Muslims.” The NCCM’s recommendations, which include “amending the Criminal Code to include specific penalties and dedicated prosecutors for hate crimes,” contain worrying implications for Canada.
Meanwhile, the horrific case of Toronto police officer Jeffrey Northrup, who was murdered by Umar Zameer in an “intentional and deliberate act,” has been ignored ever since a court imposed a total information ban ahead of the “emergency Islamophobia” summit.
Robert Spencer writes:
the NCCM’s recommendations to fight supposedly rampant “Islamophobia” in Canada are likely directed ultimately toward stifling all criticism of Islam and exploration of the motivating ideology behind jihad terrorism. The clearest evidence for this is the fact that the NCCM has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Muslim Brotherhood organizations in North America are dedicated, according to a captured internal document, to “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within, and sabotaging its miserable house.”
It isn’t only the murder of police officer Jeffrey Northrup that has been downplayed in Canada amid the spotlight on “Islamophobia.” The burning of churches, and the alarming pro-Palestinian protests that drew thousands — reminiscent of Nazi Germany, have been downplayed as well.
Rebel Media reported:
Another Christian church was torched. I don’t know the total count of churches burned or vandalized in the past few months — last I checked it was 43 churches, so this makes it 44.
Not a word from our prime minister, though.
There’s other hate that fits with Trudeau’s narrative.
On the eve of the National Summit on Islamophobia, the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) has released nearly 100 pages of recommendations for all levels of government that would transform Canada into an anti-Islamophobia state.
All are apparently not equal in the eyes of Justin Trudeau.
In light of the NCCM’s 61 recommendations ahead of the national “Islamophobia” summit, there is cause for concern, not only given the contents of these recommendations, but also the history of the NCCM, which is rooted in the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Read more about this HERE. Included in this Point de Bascule Canada exposé about the NCCM is a report written by David Frum and published by the National Post on November 23, 2004. We can be thankful that it was archived, because it is no longer available on the National Post website.
David Frum wrote, as republished by the American Enterprise Institute:
CAIR was founded in 1994 by alumni of an older group, the Islamic Association for Palestine. The IAP, founded by senior Hamas figure Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook, calls for the destruction of Israel and the creation of an Islamic state under Islamic law in Israel’s place. (In 1996, CAIR would condemn the U.S. government’s decision to deport Marzook as an “anti-Islamic” act.)
CAIR’s first executive director, Nihad Awad, publicly declared himself a supporter of Hamas at a 1994 forum at Barry University in Florida.
One of CAIR’s original advisory board members, Siraj Wahhaj, served as a character witness for Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman. Rahman is the blind Egyptian cleric convicted in 1995 of conspiracy to bomb New York landmarks. CAIR described Rahman’s conviction as a hate crime.
CAIR’s founding chairman, Omar Ahmed, also an IAP alumnus, is said to have declared at a public event in California in July, 1998: “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran . . . should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth.” Ahmed has since disputed the accuracy of the quote–five years after it was reported by a California newspaper.
Frum also revealed:
Two weeks ago, the National Post and I were served with a notice of libel by the Canadian branch of the Council on American Islamic Relations, or CAIR. The Post and I are not alone. Over the past year, CAIR’s Canadian and U.S. branches have served similar libel notices on half a dozen other individuals and organizations in the United States and Canada. Each case has its own particular facts, yet they are linked by a common theme: That we defendants have accused CAIR (in the words of the notice served on me) of being “an unscrupulous, Islamist, extremist sympathetic group in Canada supporting terrorism.”
Islamic intimidation and lawfare, launched against Westerners for calling out the truths about Islam, is nothing new. Canada and the US had enough advance notice to fight what has now become ingrained in Western culture: Islamic lawfare, punitive action against those who offend Muslims or Islam, and a resulting cancel culture.
The NCCM (formerly CAIR-CAN) is now operating inside the Liberal Government of Canada as a leader on “diversity” issues. The NCCM was a recipient of an undisclosed amount of funding to help implement Canada’s big mistake: anti-Islamophobia motion M-103, which includes monitoring citizens for compliance and training law enforcement to identify online and offline “hate.” The implementation of M-103 was enabled by a taxpayer funded 23-million-dollar package. Another recipient to assist the Liberal Government’s implementation of its M-103 strategy was IRFAN (Islamic Relief Canada), which was outlawed by the previous Conservative government as a terrorist entity.
The NCCM also backed the Toronto District School Board’s definition of “Islamophobia” for Islamic Heritage Month. The definition (in part) was as follows:
“fear, prejudice, hatred or dislike directed against Islam or Muslims, or towards Islamic politics or culture.”
As B’nai Brith Canada noted:
The Guidebook was designed by TDSB project co-chairs Nazerah Shaikh and Haniya Sheikh, with support from the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM). The TDSB definition, if enforced, could lead to punishment for students or teachers who display “dislike” toward the persecution of LGTBQ people in the Islamic Republic of Iran, harsh restrictions on women in Saudi Arabia, and Palestinian terrorism against Israelis, all of which are examples of “Islamic politics”.
After an outcry, the definition was subsequently scaled back to exclude any reference to politics.
Still, most parents have no idea of what their children are being taught in schools; all too often the content of that teaching is decided upon by special interest political lobbyists.
Just over a week ago, B’nai Brith Canada expressed outrage over “the apparent reinstatement without discipline of a Toronto school employee who sent materials to teachers justifying the murder of Israeli civilians”:
Javier Dávila, a Student Equity Program Advisor with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), sent two emails to a listserv comprised of TDSB educators in May, as fighting between the Hamas terrorist group and Israel raged. The emails are filled with virulently anti-Israel teaching material, repeatedly describing Israelis as a whole as “colonizers” in their indigenous homeland.
Dávila announced that he has been reinstated without discipline online Friday morning.
Some of the materials go even further. Dávila’s emails contain writings by Laila Khaled and Ghassan Kanafani, prominent members of the Popular Front for Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), another designated terrorist entity in Canada. One flyer promoted by Dávila, prepared by the “New England Committee to Defend Palestine,” even justifies Palestinian suicide bombings and accuses “Zionists” of plotting genocide against Palestinians.
Davila’s antisemitic messages resemble the propaganda that is routinely disseminated in the Palestinian territories. Yet in a sympathetic Washington Post article, Davila was presented as a hero of the oppressed who are suffering under “settler colonial violence’”:
Davila’s work provides a counterbalance to persistent narratives and fears that have prevented many from speaking out in support of Palestine or providing anti-oppression and anti-colonial training….
Today we are in the midst of a shift in discourse as more and more of us recognize oppression and settler colonial violence, and as we mainstream the need to remedy historical injustice and prevent future transgressions. Educators are on the front lines of this moral awakening…
A victimology subterfuge undergirds the Palestinian “resistance,” which has sought and still seeks to obliterate Israel. The purveyors of the victimology “Islamophobia” canard have doggedly eroded the cornerstone of democracy: the freedom of speech.
Contrary to the WaPo assertion, support for the Palestinian cause has been anything but shy, with thousands showing up in rallies and the sight of Palestinian flags flying freely in many neighborhoods during Operation Guardian of the Walls. Any ideas about raising Israeli flags, on the other hand, would more be discarded out of fear.
Canada is lacking in any significant number of responsible politicians/leaders who are willing to stand up for Judeo-Christian values, and for Canada’s freedoms as enshrined in its constitution. Our politicians are failing to protect the country against the incursions of Islamic supremacism.
Yet as antisemitism rises in Canada, as churches are burned and as the freedom of speech disintegrates, there are still those wondering why. Some also wonder why the Palestinian agenda is gaining so much momentum. The reason should be obvious by now, as Canada hosts an emergency “Islamophobia” summit.

“repeatedly describing Israelis as a whole as “colonizers” in their indigenous homeland”
I understand the message, but let’s consider the historical truth–and that area’s pre-history, too.
That land was occupied by someone before the Jews arrived. And someone else before that. And on.
What is the historical timeline beginning with the group that occupied that land just before the Jews arrived and where do the “Palestinians” fit in?
Jim says
Well, of course there are various ways of deciding whom land belongs to. The same argument applies to the Native Americans, who are known to have fought wars over territory, kept slaves, tortured POWs and done all sorts of terrible things to victims and enemies. So why are they idealized as noble savages? The Muslims have conquered and imposed their belief system on about 50 of the Muslim states of the world, yet no one says they have to give the land back and go away to wherever they came from. Turkey does not suffer qualms of guilt about turning the most important Orthodox church into a mosque. The Turks are not going on apology tours like Obama did for the USA. So, what is the problem here? Obviously, Muslims can keep whatever they conquered. They even claim the Balkans and Spain as lost territories that really belong to Islam. Their motto is We stole it, it belongs to us now. Well, then why is Israel such a threat to their world? Obama let US consulates or embassies fly the BLM flag, what Muslim country would let its embassies fly the Israeli flag or any western flag. None of them can do this.

Canada: Worrying implications of NCCM’s recommendations ahead of ’emergency Islamophobia summit’
………….
This is going to crush Canada’s freedom of speech further–especially being able to say anything critical of the savage creed of Islam.
End PC says
Given all the horror stories associated with militant Muslims and Islamic texts how many people in the West actually take the cudgel label “Islamophobia” seriously? Certainly not Muslims who know their religion.
OLD GUY says
Islamophobia is self induced by its followers actions towards others. Kinda like BLM complaining that people are not happy with them because they support looting and burning property and riots. Not hard to figure out.
