Amid all of François Grosdidier’s Islamopandering, how likely is it that he will ensure that his brand new mega-mosque isn’t staffed by jihad sympathizers and supporters of Sharia oppression? Why, of course he will do nothing to vet the mosque’s leadership. Any such action would be “Islamophobic.”
“France: Notorious Mayor Grosdidier wants to create a Mecca in Metz,” by Francis Gruzelle, Medforth, July 27, 2021:
François Grosdidier (LR), Mayor of Metz and President of Metz Métropole, is close to the Grand Imam of Metz. Hence his proposal to help build a huge mosque in Metz.
Sitting in the sun during the heatwave, the LR Party mayor of Metz, François Grosdidier, had a vision. Allah appeared to him in the sky above Metz. One of those once-in-a-lifetime apparitions. Immediately during the opening of the Eid Al Adha celebrations in the football stadium with the Grand Imam of Metz, François Grosdidier (LR), former Member of Parliament and Senator, Mayor of Metz and President of Metz Métropole, decided to speed up the construction of a mega-mosque in Metz.
This project of a gigantic building with a floor area of 5,649 m2 on a plot of 11,843 m2, equipped with a museum for immigration but also an institute for the Arab world, with a minaret 34 metres high that can host 1,500 Muslims at a single prayer, is said to be a competitor for the largest mosque in Europe, which is being built in Strasbourg. These technical elements were confirmed by a local official from the technical services of Metz City Hall, who was contacted by telephone on Monday. She added: “François Grosdidier signed the building permit for the mosque several months ago.
Of course, people on the river Moselle have become accustomed to pharaonic spending on Muslims and migrants, with no return on investment.
Mayor François Grosdidier has crossed the red line several times
Before this “religious trance”, François Grosdidier, who is close to President Jacques Chirac, was rather known for his trouble with the judiciary, as a good client of investigating judges. Very often involved in court cases, François Grosdidier was fined €6,000 on April 19, 2021 for “misappropriation of public funds”.“Among the numerous lawsuits that have affected François Grosdidier, we mention, when he was a senator, the financing of defence costs in a court case with the Grand Orient de France and a lease with an option to buy a car”, confided to us by telephone this Monday July 26, a police commissioner from Metz specialised in financial matters, who prefers to remain anonymous. “Because the man has important connections,” added this top police officer specialised in financial crime.
According to the Messin police officer, “François Grosdidier was also convicted of aiding and abetting the illegal taking of interest, as three of his deputies did not leave the city council meeting during the vote on subsidies in non-profit associations in which one of their relatives was involved… There are many other cases. In February 2013, Philippe Mousnier, a close friend of the right-wing MP Jean-Louis Masson, filed a complaint against François Grosdidier after he found him involved in a conflict of interest in the use of his deputy’s funds. During his time as a deputy, he used it to finance the Valeur Écologie association, which he heads. He paid €100,000 to this association in 2009 and €60,000 in 2011. In February 2019, François Grosdidier was charged with “illegal representation of interests” and “misappropriation of public funds…”. In short, an “honest man”.
Is the Metz mega-mosque subsidised by the city council?
In Metz, people fear that the mayor will orchestrate and vote for a municipal subsidy for the construction of the mega-mosque. The mayor’s enthusiasm for this giant mosque, which will be a “mockery” of the people of Strasbourg, is so obvious.Mayor Grosdidier wants to speed up the project. “I have called for a mobilisation in the autumn to make a success of the construction of the great mosque, which is absolutely necessary so that worship can take place in dignified and safe conditions,” the mayor of Metz wrote on Facebook, reporting on his visit for Eid.
Once built, the great mosque in Metz will rival the mega-mosque in Strasbourg (the largest mosque in Europe, bigger than the one in Geneva (3)…), in a region governed by the Concordat….
Charlie in NY says
If Allah did in fact appear to this Mayor, can he describe what he saw and explain how he concluded that whatever it was in fact Allah? And, in light of having had such an experience, how does the good Mayor justify not immediately converting (or, as Muslims put it, reverting) to Islam?
On the other hand, isn’t the Mayor risking a charge of blasphemy by claiming that Allah spoke to him when Mohammed was supposed to be the last human to supposedly have such communications with the deity?

The only thing he is speeding up is a civil war. One of the articles here in Jihadwatch was that even the military brass in France was getting fed up with this type of people at the top and the ongoing Islamization they are promoting and making a bundle on.

What a nutcase. So this mayor is just like Muhammad, if that disgusting creature ever existed, who also claimed god talked to him.. Oh, yeah, a revolting god, called allah appeared to me. allah doesn’t exist, nor did Muhammad, so, if anyone appeared to this wanker, it was most likely the Devil. Building a mega mosque is certainly what the Devil, if that evil creature exists, would tell a person to do. Seriously, is this guy joking? I have never heard of a politician before, in a western country, such as this mayor, say that he made a decision based on seeing a vision of any god. It is a very weird thing to say. I wonder what the mayor was smoking before getting the vision of allah.
gravenimage says
I bet he’d *never* say that he had a vision of the Christian God (not that this would be appropriate, either, but I bet he’d never consider it–but “Allah” is OK).
Then, look at some of the disturbing clerics this Mosque has hosted:
Preachers: Like all mosques, that of Woippy [a suburb of Metz that is 50% Muslim–GI] invites preachers for sermons or conferences. The UOIF staff marched. But also more problematic personalities. Thus, Hani Ramadan, brother of Tariq Ramadan and director of the Islamic center of Geneva, who justifies the stoning of women on the grounds that it is “dissuasive” and “very difficult to apply” . Or the French Hassan Iquioussen, who had called the Jews “miser and usurers” and accused the Zionists of having pushed “Hitler to harm German Jews in order to force them to leave” in a public lecture given in 2003.

Gravenimage,
Yes, islam does produce problematic personalities and that is a “given” thing. In their zeal to wage war on Kafirs they most often go overboard and utter nonsense. After all, islam was never meant to be way of life from God’s perspective but from devil’s.
gravenimage says
Everywhere you find Mosques you find these kind of Islamic preachers–because hating and harming Jews and women is orthodox Islam.
tim gallagher says
Thanks for the information, gravenimage. I find this report so strange. As I said I have never heard a political figure, whether a mayor of minister in Parliament, in a western country say that they are making a political decision based on a vision of any God, have you? I’m a Christian and I actually do believe that people have had and still do have visions of God, like St Paul or quite a few Christian mystics, but, say in Australia, I think that a political figure who said that I have decided to do anything because God, in vision told me to do it, would be laughed out of existence. Such a person wouldn’t have their job for long I’d say. They’d be voted out next time around.I would have thought that those tough minded French people, many of whom have a pretty anti-clerical attitude from what i have heard, would have considered this man to be a joke.
Otis says
Something tells me that the appearance of Allah is a scam manufactured by this moron to appease Muslims who are murdering his fellow country men and women. If he’s a Muslim he should come out and make it known.
tim gallagher says
Yes, that must be it, Otis. I suppose the Muslims would be impressed by this mayor saying that allah appeared to him in a vision. As I said, in modern, civilised western countries, a mayor or other politician telling people that a god appeared to him in a vision and told him to do something would only result in him being strongly criticised or laughed at. It is a strange thing to say, but, as you say, the Muslims would probably think it is wonderful. As you say, if he is a Muslim then he should definitely be open and honest about it.
gravenimage says
Tim, here in the US some politicians have said that they came to decisions based on “praying on” the problem, but that’s about it. (and even there this sometimes causes some hilarity). But full on visions in broad daylight? Not that I’ve heard of.
tim gallagher says
graveenimage, it is certainly a very strange report. I don’t think it would go over well with the average citizen in any western country. In Australia, the Labor Party was expected to win the last Federal election. Out here, it was similar to when Trump won in the USA, because the Liberals won, unexpectedly, and it was fun watching the left wing journalists, etc, realising that, uh, oh, Labor are going to be beaten. Prime Minister Morrison is a Christian, with very strong beliefs, and I can still remember him saying, when he got up to claim the unexpected victory, “I have always believed in miracles” or words to that effect. It was a good comment, and quite witty. But, I can’t imagine any politician out here ever saying they had a vision and they decided on a course of action as a result of the vision. Way too bizarre.

Shouldn’t François Grosdidier adapted a muslim name, such as Mohammed Islam, before making such a move?

François Grosdidier is a moron. For one thing, “Allah” did not even appear to the “Prophet”–how does this Infidel rank? If “Allah” really existed, he would only appear to an Infidel to smite him–no matter how much he pandered to Islam.

[1] The headline reads “France: Notorious Mayor Grosdidier Wants to Create a Mecca in Metz”. Does this mean that Muslim residents of Europe can henceforth discharge their hajj obligation by visiting Metz, without traveling all the way to Saudi Arabia?
[2] “Sitting in the sun during the heatwave, the LR Party mayor of Metz, François Grosdidier, had a vision. Allah appeared to him in the sky above Metz. One of those once-in-a-lifetime apparitions.” This is world-shattering news, and you’re talking about construction of a mosque? When Mayor Grosdidier was given this opportunity to view Allah, did he count Allah’s feet? This will settle a matter than has been a concern of the ulema for centuries. See

Walter Sieruk says
Mayor Gosdidier is probably sincere when he spoke about his “religious trance” in which he is sure the that “Allah appeared to him ” and wanted him to do everything that he could do help and quicken the construction of a grand mosque in France.
In the light of the Bible it’s very obvious that Gosdidier was and is a victim of demonic deception . Meaning that a actural , literal , demon masquerading as the god of Islam, Allah ,to encourage him to aid in the building of that large mosque.
For such a mosque would be a propaganda and proselytizing center to deceive many of the French into joining the false religion which is Islam.

Most of humanity do not understand the “image of God” including the idiotic mayor of Metz. That he has spoken on behalf of an evil god is abominable to the least.
Since God is a Spirit how can he have hands and legs? If this guy has any conviction or guts of his so called vision he must reveal more.
In the scriptures, wherever God is referenced with eyes, hands, etc is purely figure of speech.
Jesus, portrayed as a “European man” by the European artists, was probability a more tanned man.He was 100% God and 100% man and hence his human images might be “condoned”. I am personally against it.
Jesus, never had a human form prior to his coming to earth. His human form post his appearance on earth will never depart from him as evidenced in his appearance to Stephen the martyr, He received Stephen with standing posture. But that human form He had is a third kind of body, described in the bible by apostle Paul.

Francois Grosdidier is ostensibly a “conservative” in French political terms.
However, it seems that the poor man has gone off his proverbial rocker. I would be very curious to know what the citizens of Metz, regardless of political or religious affiliation, think of this announcement.

Kepha, this is not the Metz Mosque, but it is a similar situation in France–and the native French don’t seem too happy:

Jim says
It seems to me that if they want France to continue to be French, they should put the brakes on such projects. It is intended to subordinate all Christian churches and Jewish synagogues and proclaim the power of Islam. But France was never an islamic state. The Enlightenment was never Muslim, Europe fought bloody wars to defend itself from Islamic invaders. What in the world is happening? There should be laws limiting the size of Mosques and banning Minarets, or at least limiting their height. Big minarets are intended to stand out and stamp the cityscape. Why let Islam do this? If they want to move to a Christian country, they should not try to replace Christianity, as they are obviously trying to do. The French need to defend themselves and their identity, not abdicate to a hostile foreign ideology.
