“Telephone canvassing: ‘F**k your mother! Allah will take care of you!,'” translated from “Démarchage téléphonique : « Nique ta mère ! Allah va s’occuper de toi ! »,” Résistance Républicaine, July 16, 2021 (thanks to Medforth):
For the past week, I have been repeatedly called by direct sellers offering to study the eligibility of my accommodation for the installation of solar panels and for financial assistance for this purpose.
My interlocutor is always a man with a Maghreb accent. But not the same one every time, it seems, because he introduces himself with different first names (Mohamed, Rachid, etc.). At least that’s what he tells me.
The first time, although surprised that he has my landline number (normally only my relatives have my landline number because I cut off the mobile phone at night but in case of emergency, they can reach me as well), I agreed to answer his questions with kindness, my correspondent presenting himself as a representative of EDF [the state electric company]: surface area of the accommodation, number of sections of the roof, even indications as to the amount of my income.
However, I got tired of it because I have the same call every day, sometimes several times a day. I have reported every time that I have been contacted and answered questions, that I was not interested because my house is not sunny enough to be worth it.
In addition, by digging into the issue, I discover that EDF warns about the fact that it does not carry out any canvassing of this kind and that individuals with well-honed discourse pass themselves off as EDF agents by usurping their quality.
Yesterday, exasperated, I start by asking my interlocutor what his real identity is and what he wants from me. Aren’t these calls just a pretext to find out if I’m home after all?
And to tell him firmly that I don’t want him to call me anymore, that I will call the police …
Especially as the same people (or the same person?) also call me on my mobile, so they have all my numbers.
“Come on, come on, sir, please be courteous,” the direct salesman-stalker insists, who, it must be admitted, has been quite polite up to now.
My blood only swirled around and to be sure of getting rid of him for good, I had to let myself go and tell him bluntly: ““I’m fed up with the cold-calling, I don’t want you to call me anymore, do you understand, a***ole?”
It is true that the “a***ole” was too much, but knowing that he was not an EDF agent in reality, I was starting to get angry …
Then, the mask fell and a recitation followed in Arabic of which I did not understand anything, on the other hand I understood that he was insulting me several times with the now customary formulas “F**k your mother” and “F**k you dirty queer,” marked with the seal of the opprobrium that Islamic culture throws on homosexuality and the Eastern representation according to which the Western man is an effeminate who lacks virility because he is too respectful of women.
Above all, this individual’s visceral hatred for me, Frenchman, erupted when he added: “Allah will take care of you.”
Despite the violence of these words, I was absolutely not surprised. I suspected that behind this honeyed tone, there was the well-concealed hatred of the “kuffar” who is cajoled as much as you need him and to whom death is promised as soon as he rebels.

Muhammad put out a hit on a woman for writing insulting poetry about him. Other Muslims proudly repeated that story for hundreds of years before it was written down. Most death threats issued in anger are hollow. At the same time Muslims are expected to attempt to emulate their Prophet. This goes some way in explaining the Muslim tendency to equate criticism of Muhammad with blasphemy and execution. In general Muhammad was averse to facts and Islam was built on his deep sense of rejection by the Christians, Jews. and other monotheists he fully expected to worship him. There are other manufactured or hallucinated religions with a psychopath at the source, Scientology and Mormonism for instance.
“A member of the cult of Islam emulates Muhammad in his roles as a thin skinned, murderous con man.”
Savvyone says
Right on, David. It was the rejection of (mostly) the Jews that Muhammad could not handle. They see themselves as superior to all others: I find that belief very perplexing given their immoral and unethical standards, according to how all others see them.

[…individuals with well-honed discourse pass themselves off as EDF agents by usurping their quality]
I suspect this odd phrasing [“usurping their quality”] is the result of using a translation app.
“For heaven’s sake, stop usurping my quality!” lol
Perhaps “mimicking their style” would be a better translation?

I also get callers like that here in Australia too trying to sell solar electric panels or tell me that my internet will be cut off if I don’t pay my bill. These people are sociopaths, people with a criminal mindset, who couldn’t care less that they are hurting others; they are only interested in robbing you of your money.
I just tell them that they are obviously working a scam because the companies concerned say that they do not canvas customers over the phone, and all my bills are paid by direct debit; so please get off my line, stop being a criminal and get a regular job.
It generally works, but I get the occasional abuse.

If there is a small child present when they call, just hand the phone to them and tell the kid that it’s Santa on the phone.
Or tell them you are a cop and that they have called a crime scene and now the call has been traced and they are not to go anywhere.
Never get pissed off with them, have some fun!

I don’t think I’d want a child exposed to these ugly threats. Imagine your child being threatened like this?
Keith O says
I don’t, but it confuses the hell out of any scammer and they don’t know what to do.
Usually they just hang up.

How wonderfully convincing! If a phone scammer called you and told you all this, wouldn’t that make you more inclined to buy from him? ?

France: Muslim phone scammer threatens man, ‘F**k your mother’ ‘Allah will take care of you’
…………………
Very troubling, but not all that surprising. I am usually polite with callers, even if I suspect it comes from some kind of boiler room. But I did have one situation–almost identical at first to this French gentleman’s, where callers with Indian accents and implausible western names like “Robert” and “Tayler” dialed us several times a day, with supposed deals for solar from PG&E (our local electric company)–I knew they were not actual representatives of PG&E.
One time I declined to continue the call, and the caller asked me if I was married. I told him I was, and he demanded that if I ‘was a good woman’ that I put my husband on the phone. I said that he didn’t want to take scam calls any more than I did. He then became *very* aggressive and abusive, and I said that if he called back that I would report the calls as a scam. Amazingly they stopped after that–but it was very disturbing stuff.
Not as bad as what this Frenchman had to deal with, but it might have gotten worse if I had not hung up. I don’t know for sure that the callers were Muslim, but the agression made it likely.

gravenimage,
Every once in a while, I get a scam call from a Microsoft “Tech repair rep” who wants the fix the “problems” on my laptop – by allowing them to take over access.
I sometimes play along, *pretending* to follow all of their “orders” and thanking them for “fixing” my computer.
Drives them absolutely crazy!

This tale of telemarketing (and a lesson in French cuss-words) is similar to my experience. But in my case, the location of the telemarketer is not the Maghreb but the subcontinent, and his cussing is not in Arabic but in Hindi (Urdu?).
Thanks, Keith O, for the news about how Santa makes his living during the Christmas off-season.
Check Burry says
The most frequent calls I receive are Your computer will be switched off in a few minutes.
I ask them which it is as I have 4 computers, what IP address are you referring to, at that they disconnect.
Solar panels I say we are in an area of UK where we get days, months of low cloud so they will not work a full capacity, so they usually go away.
Rotten Eye says
Just say
Excuse me for a minute, I have to take a dump
Then put the phone down and let him hang for ever
Works every time
