My latest in PJ Media:
Ebrahim Raisi, who is one of the people responsible for the murder of 5,000 dissidents in Iran in 1988, became the president of the Islamic Republic on Tuesday. On the same day, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, whom Twitter considers less of a threat to the peace of the world than Donald Trump, tweeted: “Today, our dear country is thirsty for valuable service & it needs competent, jihadi, intelligent, courageous management that can use the manifest and hidden capabilities of the nation, which are much greater in scope than the problems, for constructive work and endeavor.” In Raisi, it looks as if Khamenei has just the competent, jihadi leadership he is looking for, although Biden’s handlers don’t seem concerned in the least: They’re still indefatigably pursuing a new nuclear deal with Iran. What could possibly go wrong?
“Jihadi,” of course, is a word capable of varying interpretations. “Jihad” in Arabic means struggle, and there are as many kinds of jihad in the Arabic and Islamic worlds as there are different kinds of struggles in English. The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran itself has a Department of Agricultural Jihad, which has nothing to do with blowing things up on the farm, but simply with struggling to increase the productivity and efficiency of the nation’s agricultural sector.
But Khamenei, as a Shi’ite cleric, knows well that the primary meaning of “jihad” in Islamic theology and law is warfare against unbelievers for the ultimate purpose of subjugating them under the hegemony of Islamic law. There is no doubt that the Islamic Republic has been behaving lately as if it had that warfare as a high priority. Last week there was the attack on an oil tanker managed by an Israeli firm, in which two people were killed. Then there are Iran’s plans, recently discovered, to hack into infrastructure in Western countries.
There was also the outrageous plan, revealed in mid-July, to kidnap an Iranian dissident, Masih Alinejad, in New York City and take her back to the Islamic Republic, where she would almost certainly have been imprisoned and tortured, and possibly even killed. Meanwhile, Iran has been using a mosque in Hamburg, Germany as a propaganda center to export its Islamic revolution to Europe.
Amid all this, Iranian officials are confident of ultimate victory – not least because of the dementia-ridden puppet in the Oval Office. Hassan Danaeifar, the former Iranian ambassador to Iraq, recently boasted in an interview on Iranian television that “American society has encountered serious problems. There is serious polarization.”
There is more. Read the rest here.

This is much like if Hitler had died before the end of WW2 assuming Germany to be intact, that Himmler would have taken supreme control of Germany, In fact, as present day Iran and Nazi Germany are very much the same the comparison is quite apt.

Ebrahim Raisi reminds me of the fanatical Reinhart Heydrich whom Hitler chose as his successor.

The Iranian president will never have as much power as the Ayatollah. Doesn’t mean some are not more dangerous than others, though.

‘Competent, Jihadi, Intelligent Management’

I’ve noted this before, but one of these things is not like the others…

Exactly. Well … they get one of them right. Still … a grade of 33% is a fail. And their management of jihad is incompetent too.
A coup could probably be pulled off without a lot of resistance. I doubt the Iranian army would resist a coup. The Islamic fanaticism of the past seems to be waning. I think the appointment of this one fanatic is a sign that the ayatollahs realize they are losing.

Hope you are right, Mortimer.

It seems likely that if Iran remains under a militant religious dictatorship, interfering wherever it can, that it will find itself in a war with a coalition of the West and other Islamic nations. Let us hope that it will not be the first post-WWII nation that must be stopped by unthinkable destruction.
It seems that liberal US administrations only wake up to unthinkable surprises. What will it be?

Great credentials responsible for killing 5000 people he disagreed with. Whats really funny the political class of the world will treat him like an important and great leader. I guess if you have expensive clothes, limo and private jet you are part of the elite club no matter your criminal murdering background.
Money and power override everything and everyone in the way.

Ebrahim Raisi is a medieval monster.
Walter Sieruk says
Raisi is so completely evil that he was behind the mass murders of many people who had only been “guilty” of crimes as being a Christian and speaking up in defense of giving women human right in Iran.
That despicable and wicked murderous man has rightly been nicknamed “The hangman of Tehran”
Rasis has been justifiably accused of being guilty of “crimes against humanity.”
Still that murderous malicious fiend has the lying gall to call himself a “defender of human rights What a liar Rasis is.
Walter Sieruk says
Iran’s President Rasis sure has much gall , lying Islamic gall, to say he is a “defender of human rights.”
For that sadistic cruel murderous fiend is ,in reality a blatant violator of human rights in and despicable vicious ways That liar and hypocrite was and is behind many ruthless abuses of basic rights o of human beings.
For example of the many heinously evils outcome s of that Islamic “revolution” is the extremely cruel, brutal and demonic misogyny of this hideous Islamic regime. Not only against women but even young girls. As explained by a former Iranian Revolutionary Guard member who defected to the West and now lives in America his book also informs the reader about the malicious and murderous affront girls in Iran’s Evin prison which reads that those in power ,the “paraded teenage girls in front in front of me as they led them to their deaths. These girls were barely out of their childhood, barely old enough to think of themselves, much less form thoughts against the state. They knew nothing about the machinations of politics. They were innocent in every sense of the word and certainty innocent of trumped –up charges that led to their imprisonment. Yet they suffered fates too brutal for even the most vicious criminal. ..Their few remaining moments of life had been filled with the level of abuse that few can imagine…The author further states “They tortured and killed young girls, in God’s name and before their execution they raped them because they believed that if a girl dies virgin, she will go to heaven, and they wanted to deny them this reward.” [1]
This affront against human rights is as malice -filled and viciously wicked as can possibly be.

President of Iran, Rasis, upholds Sharia law, which is a brutal cruel harsh law that is foundation law of that oppressive Islamic “mullah regime” of Iran.
Sharia law denies basic human rights.
Furthermore, it should be made known that the actual origin of Sharia law is revealed in a Time –Life book with the title MESOPOTAMIA: THE MIGHTY KINGS copyright 1995. The point is this What an outright liar Rasis is, for he said the he is “a defender of human rights.” For that future history book about the ancient pagan world of Mesopotamia informs the reader that “many Islamic laws resemble the Babylon and Assyrian forebears.” .page 150.
There is the above and other references imply that such pagan teachings were incorporated into the religion that Muhammad manufactured and then started. Thus this further reveals that a lot of ancient paganism is part of the whole religion of Islam.
In other words, ancient paganism makes up much of Islam. Therefore Islam with its Sharia law are a hoax.
