And even if he is acquitted, if his experience is anything like that of others who have been accused of blasphemy, he will face the threat of lynching from Muslim mobs for the rest of his life.
An update on this story. “Boy, eight, faces DEATH PENALTY in Pakistan after becoming youngest person ever charged with blasphemy,” by Rachael Bunyan, MailOnline, August 9, 2021:
An eight-year-old Hindu boy faces the death penalty in Pakistan after becoming the youngest person ever charged with blasphemy in the country.
The boy and his family are now being held in protective custody after a Muslim mob attacked and badly damaged a Hindu temple in the conservative town of Bhong in the Rahim Yar Khan district, Punjab, in response to a court granting the child bail.
The boy, who has not been named, was arrested on charges of intentionally urinating on a carpet in the library of a madrassa, or religious school, that houses religious books last month.
The mob alleges he committed blasphemy, an act punishable by the death sentence in Pakistan, where mere accusations of blasphemy have in the past incited mobs to violence and deadly attacks.
Paramilitary troops were deployed to the area to quell the unrest, which left many Hindus fleeing their homes in fear.
A member of the boy’s family, speaking from an undisclosed location, told The Guardian: ‘He [the boy] is not even aware of such blasphemy issues and he has been falsely indulged in these matters. He still doesn’t understand what his crime was and why he was kept in jail for a week.
‘We have left our shops and work, the entire community is scared and we fear backlash. We don’t want to return to this area. We don’t see any concrete and meaningful action will be taken against the culprits or to safeguard the minorities living here.’
The case has shocked activists and legal experts, who say the blasphemy charges filed against the child is unprecedented as no one so young has been charged with blasphemy before.
Pakistan’s blasphemy laws have long been criticised by rights groups because they are seen as vague and widely abused in order to dangerously discriminate against religious minority groups in the Muslim-majority country.
While courts have pronounced death sentences for some of those convicted, Pakistan has never carried out an execution over blasphemy charges.
But the blasphemy laws are also seen by activists as giving cover to vigilantes to attack those accused of the crime, whatever the courts decide.
Video footage shows the mob attacking the Hindu temple in Bhong on Wednesday, where they burned down the temple’s main door and damaged statues
Ramesh Kumar, the head of Pakistan Hindu Council and a lawmaker, told the newspaper: ‘The attack on the temple and blasphemy allegations against the eight-year-old minor boy has really shocked me. More than a hundred homes of the Hindu community have been emptied due to fear of attack.’
Meanwhile, human rights activist Kapil Dev said: ‘I demand charges against the boy are immediately dropped, and urge the government to provide security for the family and those forced to flee.
‘Attacks on Hindu temples have increased in the last few years showing an escalating level of extremism and fanaticism. The recent attacks seem to be a new wave of persecution of Hindus.’

This is the all pervasive brand of islam that the West is hell bent on importing into their nations. There are many no go zones of Muslim areas in the West where Sharia is reigning supreme. They have already made several mini Pakistans !!!
When will these “countries” come up for recognition at the UN?
Infidel says
Shouldn’t the OIC recognize them first, before they graduate to UN membership? ?
BTeboe says
I know next to nothing about Hinduism but are they not allowed to fight back when being attacked? Instead of running and hiding maybe they should go after the women and children of Islamists and kill them while claiming they blasphemed Hindu. I mean burning down a temple is the equivalent of burning down a mosque. There’s been way too much inbreeding on the Pakistani side so you get imbeciles going after a child for some perceived crime. There is no love in Islam, other than the love of killing, maiming, raping and taking slaves.
gravenimage says
BTeboe, *all* non-Muslims in Pakistan–Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, and others–make up less than 3% of the population. The rest have been driven out, forcibly converted, or murdered outright over the past seventy+ years.
And you can see even from this story that Muslims engage in collective punishment. If Hindus tried to fight back, they would face an out and out genocide–even more than now.
India has offered all non-Muslims in Pakistan–and Bangladesh and Afghanistan–asylum there. The remnant of Infidels surviving there should all take her up on it.

When you’re a minority in a murderous islamic country where 99% of the population are rapists, murderers, pedophiles, necrophiles etc., you won’t stand a chance retaliating or fighting back.
I guess you haven’t lived as a minority in an islamic country so you wouldn’t know

An 8 year-old boy accused of blasphemy. He does’nt even understand what blasphemy or even religion are yet. But of course we are dealing with a nation of animals who have not grasped the beginnings of civilisation. And yet we let them into our countries. They want our schools to conform to their culture and we must change our behaviou to respect them. I’ve got a better idea; why don’t they all go back to Pakistan?
Keith O says
Got to wonder what an 8 yr old Hind boy was doing in a Mudslime indoctrination center?
That little fact tells me this was invented by a mudslime, we all know they are offended by everything.
Then there’s the possibility that the blasphemy claims are a means of covering up an attempted rape of this child or something similar.
Cases of that sort are not uncommon in 4th world countries like Pakistan.
Infidel says
No, the boy accidentally trespassed into the library of the madrassah. He was severely scolded by the resident imam/librarian, and out of shock, ended up wetting his pants. That was what triggered the blasphemy accusation. Remember, this is a religion that abuses a worshiper if he farts during the prayer, and states that the prayer would be invalid
That family would do well to somehow contact the Indian embassy and flee to India, while India is busy condemning and protesting the Paki temple demolition

Exactly, Infidel, And I have seen children wander into all sorts of buildings, often out of curiosity–usually without these dire consequences, of course.

When I was 8 years old, I was still playing marbles – and hoping that I could just hold hands with a cute little blonde girl in my class…

It only ever works one way. Only muslims a allowed to be offended. The blasphemy committed against the Hindu believers is totally overlooked, even sanctioned, by this selfish religion who worship a god who delights in the death of his creation. After all, all humans must have been created by the same god, but somehow a person becomes less deserving of living if they don’t believe the same as the crazy mob.

Islam’s complete insanity on display yet again. The idea of executing an 8 year old is sickening. In a world that is full of shithouse countries, Pakistan seems to be trying to go for the gold medal as the most shithouse of all countries. Plenty of contenders from many other Muslim countries, and I’d throw in that Chinese regime as well, but Pakistan seems to be a place that is full of the most backward and vicious human beings you could find anywhere. A knuckle dragger around every corner. They seem to be always wanting to murder someone for “blasphemy”. The main one I remember was Asia Bibi. But threatening to kill an 8 year old shows that the scum there can find a way to sink even lower.

I sometimes wonder whether those hordes of women who used to swoon over Imran Khan in the 80s, back during his cricketing/playboy days, have any regrets. One would have thought that this former Sussex cricketer would have been a secularizing force given that experience
tim gallagher says
Yes, Infidel, I also would have thought that Imran Khan would have steered Pakistan towards becoming a more progressive type of Muslim country. I don’t know whether he was a hypocrite back in his playboy cricketer days, and was even then a hardline Muslim, or whether he has become one of those Muslims who has become more “devout” at some point. I think that maybe he knows that to climb the greasy pole in Pakistani politics, you have to be a hardline Muslim. They do assassinate their politicians there, because I know that Benazir Bhutto was assassinated, though I’m not sure why, if they step out of line. Just on Khan’s glamorous playboy days and women swooning, I’m pretty sure I’m remembering this correctly, but it is ages ago. You know how they have women commentators on cricket these days and they are excellent and have been cricketers and know the game well. Well, for some reason, ages ago, the first woman commentator ( a sort of guest commentator) they had out here in Australia, if I am recalling this correctly, was an actress. I have no idea why it happened. I’m pretty sure her surname was Fitzpatrick. Anyway, she knew nothing about cricket and the main thing I remember is seeing her almost drooling over Imran Khan while commentating. It was almost like she was trying to arrange a date with him. It was such a strange thing, which is why I still remember it. It was embarrassing. I have no idea how it came about, but it was weird. It is so long ago that maybe I imagined the weird incident.. Sometime in the 1970s I think. Truly a very strange thing. Khan also married Jemima Goldsmith, didn’t he, and I thought that she was probably from a Jewish background (I might be completely wrong), but that would seem strange for a Muslim and wouldn’t go over well in Pakistan. I think she went and lived there for a while. Khan certainly seems hardline now. Pakistan, what a terrible country!!.
Raja says
tim gallagher,
You’re right. Jemima’s father was Jewish. Here’s a peek into Wiki page about Jemima’s mother /father:
Known in London as a society hostess, during the 1960s and the 1970s, she gained notoriety in gossip columns for her extramarital affair with Anglo-French financier Sir James Goldsmith, member of the wealthy banking Goldschmidt family of German-Jewish origin, who later became her second husband. A descendant and heiress of the Londonderry family, her primary occupation has been as a mother of six children whose births span 25 years.
Before Imran married Jemima on 16 May 1995, he “press-released” his intention of marrying a devout Muslim girl. He probably had already set eyes on Jemima and her wealth and wanted her to convert her prior to his marriage. The British press took up the story pretty well and lambasted Imran for his plot and scheme to get Jemima (on marriage or engagement) , the way he went about “catching” Jemima. These days the press in UK is awful, abject surrender to dhimmitude and PC and everything Left.
tim gallagher says
Thanks for that information, Raja. I was never all that interested in the Khan and Jemima marriage. I can remember seeing a photo or maybe a TV news report which showed Jemima in Pakistan wearing the head scarf and long dress, etc. I just thought that Khan’s marrying her meant that he was after marrying a very rich woman. I hoped that, if they had kids, that she managed to get them out of pakistan and back to England. I never thought about the Jewish angle at all, but, since reading a bit (mainly here at Jihad watch) about the ferocious hatred of Jews by Muslims, i did think that his marrying a Jewish woman (even if she had converted to islam) might be unpopular among Pakistanis. I’ve never been that interested in the couple but I hope that she is well clear of Khan and getting on with a normal life in a civilised country. As for Khan, I can’t stand the creep or the country he is in charge of.
gravenimage says
The hatred of Jemima Khan (nee Goldsmith, and now again Goldsmith) was off the charts in Pakistan, even though she did convert to Islam:
https://www.timesofisrael.com/pakistan-pm-in-row-after-rival-says-his-children-are-raised-in-the-lap-of-jews/
This is what she said last month:
Goldsmith responded directly to Nawaz’s remark, taking to Twitter this week to say that she “left Pakistan in 2004 after a decade of antisemitic attacks by the media & politicians (& weekly death threats & protests outside my house). But still it continues.”
I’m glad she and her children escaped. She seems to be a bit of an airhead, but never deserved this ugliness. It is all very Islamic, though.
tim gallagher says
Thanks for that information, gravenimage. I had no interest in the whole Khan and Jemima marriage except to hope that she had made a safe exit from Pakistan. I tend to think that anyone who marries a Muslim is, as you put it, a bit of an airhead. Anyway, good luck to her. Because of the extreme hatred towards Jewish people by Muslims, and because Pakistan is such a hideous Muslim country, i thought that Jemima would have been unpopular there. I never thought about it at all, but mainly from the reports here at Jihad Watch about the ferocity of hatred for Jewish people by Muslims, I recently did wonder about how Jemima would have been received there.

Infidel, civilized people often assume that if a Muslim likes sports or something else western that this means that they have rejected Islam. But so often this is hardly the case.
tim gallagher says
I never trust any Muslims, gravenimage. I believe that, with its appalling treatment of non-Muslims, Pakistan should have been banned from international cricket ages ago. South Africa was banned back in the 1960s because of apartheid but there is no sign that Pakistan will ever be banned. I have read here at Jihad Watch about other big name former Pakistani cricketers, can’t recall their names, now spouting very hardline Muslim views and seemingly aiming to climb the political ladder. I suspect Khan was always a pretty hardline Muslim although maybe he did become more “devout” and therefore more evil.
gravenimage says
Spot on, Tim. But I don’t know how often I have seen some Muslim described as “moderate” or “western” because he likes soccer (football) or rap music or something–as though this actually indicates a rejection of Islamic values or an embrace of civilized ones.
I have also seen acquantances of Jihadists express shock because–you guessed it–the Jihadist liked Manchester United or Stormzy or some such–as though this meant that they could not embrace Islam as a result.
Raja says
Infidel,
From being a playboy he moved on to being a devout Muslim. Isn’t it a convenient tool to continue all the rascally behavior, irrespective of which side of the aisle you are on?.
Other premise: islam can never be reformed, islam mandates hatred of everything of infidels including democracy. Infidel, you are being too magnanimous to this useless fellow !
tim gallagher says
You are right, Raja. Khan was most likely always a lowlife scumbag in every way who just happened to be good at a particular sport. He is worse than merely a useless person. The way that he runs Pakistan, he has to be a very evil, barbaric person. That country seems to be a appalling place with any non-Muslims having their human rights trashed constantly.
gravenimage says
A lot of people assume that being a playboy is un-Islamic–but using Infidel women is of course actually perfcectly Islamic.
Eastlight says
‘Socialite’ Jermina Goldsmith married him thinking that he had become a normal human being but it only lasted a couple of years before the truth of life in Pakitan setin.
Infidel says
The bizarre thing about her is that after their divorce, she didn’t think about reverting to Judaism, or even just apostatizing from islam
tim gallagher says
Well, I’m glad she was able to escape that appalling country, Pakistan, Eastlight. I guess that the Muslim knuckle draggers there were not going to try to detain the daughter of a very well known English billionaire. Infidel, I didn’t know anything about what had happened to Jemima Goldsmith, but it is certainly weird that she has remained a Muslim. Some people never seem to learn.
gravenimage says
Apparently the children still practice some aspects of Islam, but she herself has refused to say if she is still Muslim.
tim gallagher says
After the terrible treatment that Jemima received in Pakistan, wouldn’t you think she would ditch islam and not just for herself, gravenimage, but for her children. Some people amaze me. Nothing seems to wake them up. Actually, all these people who embrace islam amaze me. Out of all the religions, far more pleasant religions than Islam all of them are, why anyone would choose islam stuns me. I don’t take much notice of them, but an example would be Cat Stevens. I think he was from a Greek backgound. How he chose Islam I’ll never understand. And there are quite a number of people like him. Here in Australia, we had a couple of good sportsmen, Anthony Mundine, a good Rugby League player and boxer, an Aborigine, who joined Islam and the other one that comes to mind is Sonny Bill Williams, who was once discussed here at Jihad Watch, a very good Rugby player. Mundine is an obnoxious loudmouth and hater of white people, and I think that has something to do with his joining islam. You know, hating white people and western civilisation and all that crap.. I think he influenced Williams. They could have become Buddhists or Zoroastrians, but Islam, I don’t get it. Islam is such an evil creed.
