Treason is defined as providing aid and comfort to the enemy. Obama committed it when he showered billions upon the Islamic Republic of Iran. And now we have another treasonous administration.
“U.S. officials provided Taliban with names of Americans, Afghan allies to evacuate,” by Lara Seligman, Alexander Ward and Andrew Desiderio, Politico, August 26, 2021:
U.S. officials in Kabul gave the Taliban a list of names of American citizens, green card holders and Afghan allies to grant entry into the militant-controlled outer perimeter of the city’s airport, a choice that’s prompted outrage behind the scenes from lawmakers and military officials.
The move, detailed to POLITICO by three U.S. and congressional officials, was designed to expedite the evacuation of tens of thousands of people from Afghanistan as chaos erupted in Afghanistan’s capital city last week after the Taliban seized control of the country. It also came as the Biden administration has been relying on the Taliban for security outside the airport.
But the decision to provide specific names to the Taliban, which has a history of brutally murdering Afghans who collaborated with the U.S. and other coalition forces during the conflict, has angered lawmakers and military officials.
“Basically, they just put all those Afghans on a kill list,” said one defense official, who like others spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive topic. “It’s just appalling and shocking and makes you feel unclean.”
A spokesperson for U.S. Central Command declined to comment.
The issue came up during a classified briefing on Capitol Hill earlier this week, which turned contentious after top Biden administration officials defended their close coordination with the Taliban. Biden officials contended that it was the best way to keep Americans and Afghans safe and prevent a shooting war between Taliban fighters and the thousands of U.S. troops stationed at the airport.
After the fall of Kabul, in the earliest days of the evacuation, the joint U.S. military and diplomatic coordination team at the airport provided the Taliban with a list of people the U.S. aimed to evacuate. Those names included Afghans who served alongside the U.S. during the 20-year war and sought special immigrant visas to America. U.S. citizens, dual nationals and lawful permanent residents were also listed.
“They had to do that because of the security situation the White House created by allowing the Taliban to control everything outside the airport,” one U.S. official said.
But after thousands of visa applicants arrived at the airport, overwhelming the capacity of the U.S. to process them, the State Department changed course — asking the applicants not to come to the airport and instead requesting they wait until they were cleared for entry. From then on, the list fed to the Taliban didn’t include those Afghan names.
As of Aug. 25, only U.S. passport and green card holders were being accepted as eligible for evacuation, the defense official said.
Still, that U.S. officials handed over a list of Afghan allies and American citizens and residents shows the extent to which they outsourced security of the airport’s outer perimeter to the Taliban. The Taliban has gone door-to-door in search of Afghan interpreters and others who helped U.S. and Western forces.
In written and verbal communications, Gen. Frank McKenzie, commander of U.S. Central Command, and Rear Adm. Peter Vasely, head of U.S. forces on the ground in Afghanistan, have referred to the Taliban as “our Afghan partners,” according to two defense officials.
The Biden administration has been coordinating the evacuation effort and airport security with the Taliban, which is running the checkpoints outside the airport’s outer perimeter. Officials have been “in daily communication” with Taliban commanders about who to let in, Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby told reporters this week.
The news comes just hours after two Islamic State terrorist attacks rocked the area just outside the airport, killing at least four U.S. Marines and wounding dozens more. A number of Afghans were also killed in the bombings….

These names will go right to the islamic state. “Hey, we tried to save them, we didn’t kill them” will be the taleebahn cry.

I doubt the Taliban will scruple at not targeting them themselves.

Who did this besides biden who would have given consent??

Democrats being Democrats. I don’t think they think it’s possible to be treasonous. “Same as it ever was.”

Whether Biden’s actions are deemed treasonous or just simply incompetent the man needs to be removed from office. HOWEVER, look at the line of succession:
1. Vice President: Kamala Harris
2. Speaker of the House: Nancy Pelosi
3. President pro tempore of the Senate: Patrick Leahy
4. Secretary of State: Anthony Blinken
5. Secretary of the Treasury: Janet Yellen
6. Secretary of Defense: Lloyd Austin
7. Attorney General: Merrick Garland
Our best hope at this point is that an asteroid will make a direct hit on Washington, D.C. and wipe out every one of them.

If the “Founding Fathers” had been able to see into the future, they may have written something different…like a million people marching on the capital and demanding that someone sane and of the right heart take over.
The list is a group of power-mad sickos…all chosen by corrupt power-mad sickos.
Perhaps there is an impending asteroid with their names on it. It can take along a few others too. Maybe many others. An alphabet soup of corruption.

Blinken at least has a brain, and might even have a scruple or two, but at some point he’s had his spine removed.

Glenn Beck and some guys he was working with to get Christians out, said that his group was “ordered” to take certain people that were not the ones they had gone there to rescue.
Allowing the taliban control of the airport, the gates, the ones allowed to pass through, the ones told to go to the hotel, is worse than having a fox guard the hen house.
Weren’t the taliban the “enemy” all of the years the fighting was ongoing? Weren’t the taliban the group that captured U.S. servicemen, held them hostage or tortured and murdered them…again and again? The taliban put bombs on the roadsides, used little kids tending goats to lure U.S. servicemen in close enough to murder them. The taliban shot down the copter carrying the Seal Team.
Talk about “aid and comfort.” This “aid”….was on top of all of the weapons left behind for the taliban to use against “their enemy,” or to sell to others of the enemies of those of us represented by the words “United States of America.”
There was on old sitcom on years ago, “Maude,” who was fond of telling her husband, “God will get you for that.”
All of those committing evil and murder will be answerable to our Creator. On whichever side they may claim to be.

That’s … ominous.
Methinks “certain people” should be dropped off at the first place Beck’s aircraft can set down out of sight. Or maybe just dropped off without troubling to land.

If the Taliban lets out all US citizens who’re ethnically not Afghan and non-muslim, I’ll be satisfied. I won’t hold it against them if they inadvertently end up preventing Afghan muslims w/ US citizenship from coming here by wrecking vengence upon them. We’ve not vetted those people on islam, so the last thing I want is someone escaping the Taliban now and years later becoming the next Ilhan or Rashida. And for those who think it’s not the same, just look at Malala Yousufzai. In short, the Taliban is doing for us what our political class and our bureaucracy don’t have the cojones to do: making sure that no ethnic Afghan muslim gets to leave Afghanistan
Carl Higby had Alan Derschowitz on in the last 2 days on Newsmax and asked him whether there is a case for impeaching Biden, and the answer is ‘No’. Jenna Ellis too agreed w/ that today on the same show. The only consequence Biden can and should face for all this is political
Reziac says
Good point. Too many of those friendly and helpful Afghanis have proven perfidious when convenience and an urge to be pious have coincided, usually resulting in an IED taking American lives. So long as Islam exists, even the “nice” ones cannot be trusted.

John says
The unimaginable idiocy of handing a list of Americans and Afghan allies over to the Taliban shows they really don’t know what they are doing. Can it get any worse ? We have no way whatsoever to know what happened to these people as a result. This withdrawal has got to be literally the most poorly planned, undermanned, debacle we have ever seen. When you deal with an enemy like this – they only understand one thing and that is the end of a gun barrel. You don’t negotiate with people like this.

Treason: US officials gave Taliban a list of names of Americans and Afghan allies
…………..
They *gave* this list to the Taliban.
I suppose they thought the Taliban would be glad to help us out–instead, they are apt to use this to target Americans and bad Muslims.
fadeye@yahoo.com says
A representative of the House said the taliban are capturing afghans that worked for US at the airport, taking them to their homes, forcing them to watch the taliban murder their families then executing them. Then he said the US media is not reporting it very much!
gravenimage says
Likely so, fadeye.
Infidel says
What I think the Taliban would do is let all the non-Afghan Americans (picking them by ethnicity) leave, just like they escorted a Newsmax reporter Holly McKay to the border and into one of the neighboring countries (I hope it’s one of the ex-Soviet ones rather than Pakistan or Iran). However, Afghan-Americans are likely to be stopped and treated differently, since in the Taliban’s eyes, it’s not their passport but their ethnicity and religion that defines them. For instance, that San Diego group of families who visited Afghanistan one last time to meet extended family members would probably not be allowed out
Like I said above, since we don’t have the cojones to vet Afghans trying to flee on their commitment to islam, it’s probably just as well that the Taliban is stopping them, while hopefully letting real American non-muslims leave the country
Reziac says
And none of them will understand that Islam is THE reason why their lives are in peril.
Infidel says
Very true, otherwise they would never have gone there in the first place

Not sure that would help all that much–in that case, policy is just set by the party for the most part. With the Democrats, this would not improve things.
