Back in the 90’s when Hatem was at San Francisco State University, he participated in an assault on the offices of the Golden Gater student newspaper accusing it of being full of Jewish spies. Jewish students had complained about anti-Semitic behavior by Bazian, in his role as student body president, and his campaign against Hillel, the leading Jewish campus organization, was a direct attempt to disenfranchise Jewish students.
The more things change, the more they stay the same at SFSU.
“Whose Narrative? 20 Years Since 9/11/2001,” is being co-sponsored by SFSU’s Arab and Muslim Ethnicities and Diaspora (AMED) Studies Department as well as by Rutgers’ Center for Security, Race and Rights. The virtual event “includes speakers who have been convicted of terror and /or are affiliated with U.S. designated terror groups, as well as organizations who have incited violence and racial hatred,” Shalev wrote. He cited Dr. Sami Al-Arian as one example, noting that Al-Arian was deported from the United States to Turkey in 2015 after being convicted of having ties to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group. Al-Arian also heads Istanbul Zaim University’s Center for Islam and Global Affairs (CIGA), which held a conference featuring speakers with ties to Hamas, according Shalev.
Shalev also noted that the event will feature UC Berkeley Professor Hatem Bazian, the co-founder of Students for Justice in Palestine and American Muslims for Palestine who has once called for an intifada, or armed uprising, in the United States. Additionally, one of the co-sponsors of the event is the Palestinian Youth Movement, which calls “for the liberation of Palestine through armed resistance, violence, and terror,” Shalev wrote.
So it’s a perfect fit for SFSU.
Other speakers scheduled for the September 11 webinar include SFSU AMED Professor Rabab Abdulhadi, Rutgers Journalism Professor Dr. Deepa Kumar, Desis Rising Up and Moving Executive Director Fahd Ahmed, Wilfrid Laurie University Sociology and Muslim Studies Professor Dr. Jasmin Zine, UC Santa Barbara Sociology Professor Dr. Lisa Hajjar, Lebanese American University Lecturer Rania Masri, former South African Intelligence Minister Ronnie Kasrils and Palestinian Youth Movement Women’s Committee Chair Yazan Zahzah.
Rabab Abdulhadi is a lovely human being as Canary Mission notes.
In September 2020, Abdulhadi co-organized an online open classroom panel event titled “Whose Narratives? Gender, Justice, and Resistance: A Conversation with Leila Khaled,” scheduled for September 23, 2020.
Khaled is a leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and participated in the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and El Al Flight 219 in 1970. As of 2017, Khaled was a member of PFLP’s Political Bureau.
Khaled has said that the second intifada failed because it was not violent enough, advocated for the use of children in terror activities and compared Zionists to Nazis.
On September 22, 2020, Abdulhadi featured [00:04:07] in a live-streamed Youtube video promoting the event and Khaled’s participation in it, saying [00:28:42]: “I was part of a group of generation, I wanted to be like Leila Khaled… I so admired her standing up and her speaking up…”
This is what the Left thinks is an appropriate way to remember September 11.

Tough call whether the weakest link in the continuation of liberty here in America can be found in the academic world, the media world, the entertainment world, or the political world (also among Big Tech giants who are rich nothings with an abysmal understanding of so much that is important—they’re control-freak nerds with great power and wealth but no wisdom or knowledge).
All four (five) are failing the best which America is, has been, and can be, and ones knows this or should know this. Frankly, I’m sick of all four (five) dealt with in the aggregate. These four (five—damn, wish there were only one or two) are enemies of freedom, truth and common sense.
The American Republic (which is also a representative democracy—so many get this wrong and think that America is only a republic) is in profound trouble right now. And why? Very simple—truth is scarce in our era. You bet it is. Lose truth, which so much of America has done—the West at large for that matter—and, guaranteed, it will be all downhill from there.
Still downhill, especially considering that the most powerful office in the world is presently held by a very mediocre man, assuming he can “rise” to mediocrity any longer which is becoming more doubtful by the month (week?. day?).
The time is out of joint. No doubt.

The problem with our Colleges and Universities began thirty to forty years ago, with the Saudi’s and other islamic countries giving huge contributions to the endowment funds of higher education institutions. With the millions donated they started pressuring administrations for Islamic/Muslim student unions, Islamic/muslim studies, and Muslim/islamic professors and instructors. Muslim/islamic propaganda machine is well imbedded in our educational system.
